Hi there and happy Valentine's Day! Thought it would be a fun way to celebrate the occasion by presenting you all with this little Sasharcy one shot I've put together in these last couple of days.

And that's all I have for an intro, so enjoy!

"Oh man, I hope she'll like this…"

Those words uttered out of Marcy's mouth as she paced the floor of the living room. Any moment now she was expecting the arrival of Sasha so that the two of them could spend a simple Valentine's Day together.

However, as much as she was looking forward to spending the occasion with her girlfriend, Marcy did worry there was a chance that the gift she plans to give Sasha may be too basic and not be entirely satisfactory to the latter's liking. Add on top of the fact that it was a last minute purchase due to indecisiveness and a constrained amount of money on her part and it only compounded her concerns of believing things might not go entirely smoothly.

But Marcy didn't have much more time to dwell on that as she heard the doorbell ringing seconds later. Taking a deep breath, she approached the front door and opened it to reveal Sasha on the other side with her hands behind her back.

"Sasha!" Marcy said happily.

"Hey, what's up, Mar-Mar?" Sasha said in return.

She pulled around one of her hands and placed it on Marcy's shoulder before leaning in to give her girlfriend a quick little kiss, then she was welcomed inside and lead into the living room.

"So, um...I suppose you brought something with you? Like a gift perhaps?" Marcy inquired.

"Yeah, you could say that," Sasha replied as a big grin formed on her face. "It's more like something we can both share together, but yes, consider it my gift to you."

With that, Sasha pulled both her hands out front to reveal a heart-shaped box of chocolates in her possession, causing Marcy to let out a gasp.

"Aww, how sweet of you, Sash, both literally and figuratively!" Marcy said with a giggle.

She closed the gap between herself and Sasha to briefly give the latter both a hug and kiss.

"Heh, you're welcome," Sasha said before clearing her throat. "Now, not to be pushy or anything like that, but uh...could there be something for me in return too?"

"Oh...uh, right of course," Marcy responded, laughing nervously. "Just gimme a couple of seconds."

She turned around and exited the living room. In the meantime, Sasha took a seat on the couch and awaited whatever her girlfriend had in store for her.

It didn't take long at all though as Marcy returned with her hands behind her back. But as she arrived again, Sasha couldn't help but notice the anxious look on her face as well.

"Okay, I just wanna say that before I show what I got you that I'll totally understand if you don't necessarily like it all the way," Marcy began speaking. "I'll confess it's also kind of a last minute thing as well, which I bet you'll say isn't entirely surprising considering this is far from the first time that I nearly forgot to get a gift for someone that means a lot to me and we both know how well that turned out. And also…"

"Uh, no offense, Mar-Mar, but I don't think I need to hear some long rambling speech," Sasha interrupted, perhaps a little more curtly than she intended. "Just show me what you got."

"Right, right, sure, I get it. All right…"

Taking another deep breath, Marcy turned her head away to side while pulling her right hand out; presenting a bouquet of flowers to Sasha. Initially she didn't hear any sort of reaction out of her girlfriend, which made her assume the worst.

But when Marcy mustered up enough courage to look back again, she saw Sasha eye's lighting up and also had a big smile on her face.

"Oh, these are so pretty!" Sasha exclaimed, taking the flowers into her own hands.

"Huh? You mean you like them?" Marcy asked.

"Of course I do!"

And then before Marcy knew what hit her, Sasha engulfed her in a big hug.

"For real, these are really nice, Marcy," Sasha reaffirmed after letting go of the hug. "But I must say I am a little curious why you thought I wouldn't necessarily like them."

Marcy sighed. "Well...I guess it's because I assumed you were expecting something more flashy and expensive like jewelry or anything along those lines, but I wasn't able to because as I said it was a last minute thing and not to mention I didn't have a lot of money at hand either, so…"

"Eh, I guess that's to be expected," Sasha said with a shrug. "But at least you'll have plenty of other holidays and special occasions to make up for it."

Upon hearing that, Marcy showed a little frown, rubbed her arm and averted her gaze away from Sasha. Despite her girlfriend's insistence of being appreciative of the flowers, she still felt like she had let Sasha down a bit based what was said.

Realizing that perhaps Marcy took her words a little too much to heart, Sasha gently propped up the flowers against the couch and put both her hands on her girlfriend's shoulders.

"Wait, I was only kidding, Marbles," Sasha told her gently. "I didn't know this would cause you so much worry. Again, I love these flowers that you got me and besides, all I got you was a box of chocolates, so would I really be in a position to complain if you got me something less fancy or expensive?"

She leaned forward and had both of their foreheads touch.

"And not that I'm trying to get any further sappier, but even if you didn't get me much of anything, you've long given me the best gift that I could've ever asked for."

"I did? What's that?" Marcy wondered curiously.

Sasha smiled as she cupped Marcy's face and softly kissed her.

"Having you in my life...and I really do mean that. You mean the absolute world to me, Marcy."

The tenderness and heartfelt sentiment of Sasha's words gave Marcy all the relief she could've needed. So thankful to hear of that, she reciprocated by kissing her girlfriend back very happily.

"Thank you so much, Sasha. Hearing that means a lot just as much you do to me," Marcy said in earnest. "I'm sorry if I made a bigger deal over all of this than I should have."

"Ah, no worries. Now with that out of the way, how about we dig into some of these chocolates together?"

"Sure, I'd like that!"

Having decided on that, they both sat down the couch before Sasha opened the box and right off the gate she picked out one of the chocolates and guided it towards Marcy's mouth. At first Marcy was a little confused, but she soon clued in and understood that Sasha was attempting to do the classic cutesy act of feeding her the chocolate. With that, she opened her mouth and gladly accepted chomped away at it, causing Sasha to giggle. Then in return, Marcy did the same thing for Sasha.

Eventually both decided they had their fill of chocolate and wanted to save the rest for a later time. Not too long after that, Marcy scooted closer to Sasha and rested her head on her girlfriend's shoulder while sighing contently, which in turn caused Sasha to place an arm around her.

"Happy Valentine's Day, Sasha. I love you."

"Happy Valentine's Day, Marcy. I love you, too."

Sasha gave Marcy a soft kiss on the cheek as they settled in simply being in each other's company for the moment. It was the simple things like this that Marcy was thankful for and learned that as good as giving each other things like flowers and chocolates on this occasion are, oftentimes the best gift is having that one person you love with all your heart by your side to spend much cherished quality time with.

And there we go! Certainly thought this made for a fun and sweet little thing to write for the occasion.

Anyway, thank you for your time and take care until next time!
