Okay last one, I swear... not least because I'm really running out of ideas.

Mount Silver had a reputation for danger. It towered over the nation. Even trainers as skilled as Red and Sabrina had stopped short of three kilometers up. It was common to see formidable creatures like Tyranitars and Snorlaxes.

Of course, the rep was half-true. The mountain had its dangers, but it was also home to a thriving ecosystem and many Pokemon that could eat and sleep well. Red and Sabrina hadn't needed to climb higher.

A certain trainer was up there at the moment, at its famous hot spring. A tent was raised near the waters, and some clothes were lying around.

A young woman who looked about twenty was relaxing in the water. She was of a lean build, with dark hair that had a blue tinge and fell down her back, and seemed to have only a Meganium for company.

"This is the life," Crystal thought contentedly. Her eyes were closed. "I should go back here sometime."

The seconds wandered quietly by while she savored the warmth. The wind blew almost melodically through the nearby leaves and branches, while a few beasts were out foraging for food.

Her thoughts drifted - first to what would be fun to do later, then to what Emerald and the other Pokedex Holders were doing right now, then to what Jynx's evolution would be.

She was eventually snapped from her musings by her Pokegear's ring tone. After drying her hand, she picked it up. "Yeah?"

"It's me," Red said. "Wanted to check if you made it."

"Yeah, two days ago," Crys replied casually. The question made her recall Meganium's battle with that wild Rhydon.

Red was briefly silent. "Good. Anyway, happy birthday. We're throwing you a party later at your place, around two."

"Alright," Crystal answered happily. With that, Red hung up.

A few hours had passed. Crystal had attended her birthday party, which had gone both well and predictably. She was now at Earl's academy.

"Hurry up, Miss Crystal, come on," May said eagerly, practically pulling her along. Crystal followed her inside, and to the living room's door.

The girl opened the door for her, and Crys saw all twenty-seven of the Academy's current residents. The kids broke out in a chorus of "HAPPY BIRTHDAY, CRYSTAL!".

Crystal smiled at the display. "Thanks, guys." She went into the living room, where Earl presented her with a birthday cake.

Her eyes widened slightly at the food. The cake itself was a deep blue rather like the night sky, and three rings of seven tiny stars covered its surface.

"Wow. Again, thanks, all of you," she said, unsure what else to say, then stepped forward to get a slice. The first slice quickly turned into half the cake and a full stomach.

She sat down to relax a bit.

"Whattaya wanna do?" May asked eagerly.

"Honestly, I just want to hang out with you guys and have fun," Crystal said, smiling.

"Then let's battle," May practically demanded, holding Teddiursa's ball up.

"You're on," Crystal grinned. She deployed Hitmonchan to face the bear... and he ended it in ONE PUNCHHHHHHHHH.

Her day continued pretty much like this to its end.
