In all of Hiccup's fifteen years of life did he imagine something so magical would be real. Not only was his best friend a Night Fury dragon, but his friend apparently, could transform between being a dragon and a human! It was unreal and obviously, likely, not meant for him to ever know but he found out by accident while trying to find Toothless. Hiccup stumbled upon Toothless coming out of the lake water in the cove, completely nude. Hiccup, at first, believed the male had to be a stranger to Berk and got lost wandering around in the forests. It could happen if you washed up on the beaches, or knew the underground tunnels. Regardless, Hiccup was very surprised to see this male turn into a dragon and, it was easily recognized as Toothless due to the missing left tailfin. Toothless didn't try to hide it when Hiccup confronted him, perhaps surprise, but he turned back into a human when he knew he was caught. Right now, Toothless was sitting across from Hiccup, only the fire between them. Toothless had said he'd explain, so that's what Hiccup was waiting on.

"I can't give you much explanation about this, Hiccup. I have the ability to change forms. I can be like this, human. Or dragon. I believe we have a hybrid state too, being a mix of human and dragon. I don't ever use it, but it's basically human body with my ears, tail, and wings. Oh, and I would keep my black skin and scales too." Toothless told Hiccup.

"You said we, so you mean…Other dragons can do this too?" Hiccup asked, finding his voice. He was still shocked, but he had questions.

"No. We as in Night Furies." Toothless confirmed.

"Are Night Furies…Special?" Hiccup wondered.

"You could say that," Toothless nodded. "We're the unholy offspring of lightning and death itself. We're all born with the ability to translate any languages, and change forms. Humans don't know of this, of course. Some have learned, but we usually have to kill them to keep the secret."

"You're…Not going to kill me, are you?" Hiccup stared.

"Of course not, Hiccup," Toothless reassured. "You have to understand it's our defense system. Before the war ended, Night Furies were hunted to near extinction." He said. "We can't have people knowing about this; there would be more hunting just for the rarity and abilities. No idea what anyone would do with the information, but you must see we're only protecting ourselves."

"I…Do understand that." Hiccup nodded. "I won't tell anyone."

"I didn't assume you would." Toothless smiled. "You've always been different, I knew that when we met. When you let me go."

"Are there more of you, Night Furies?" Hiccup asked.

"Yes, somewhere out there. We'd been going into hiding when I got separated from them and ended up under the Red Death's control." Toothless informed calmly.

"How old were you then?" Hiccup questioned.

"Eight," Toothless stated. "I'm fifteen now, same age as you. So it's been seven years since I've seen them my pack." He added.

"Toothless…Wait, what is your name?" Hiccup looked at him curiously.

"We don't really have names," Toothless replied. "If we're talking, we speak to one another without names. And if we're in a group, we use physical motions towards who we're speaking with. You were the one to give me a name, as a dragon. But we normally don't use this form either, only to survive around the world with humans. Or when we come to a new place to live, make it easier for us to make it work for us. But we were always moving around. When I fell from the group, we were fleeing humans. I landed close to Dragon Island, and wandered a bit. My wing was wounded, so I couldn't fly. I ended up serving Red Death until you shot me down and our bond seemed to sever the connection she had over me." He explained.

"You don't know where your pack is, to return to them? I could make you another automatic tail, you could go home?" Hiccup offered.

Toothless shook his head. "It's fine, Hiccup. Yes, I knew where they were going seven years ago, but they move pretty often to avoid being found. I have no idea where they are now."

"But you could go search for them, Toothless." Hiccup mentioned.

"Hiccup, I am fine," Toothless smiles. "Really. I'm okay. Our rules were not to fall back or be left behind. I have a perfectly good and happy life here, with you. To be honest, I kind'a like it a lot more."

"It's not all that great," Hiccup shrugged. "But I suppose I'm glad you like it so much. I've always felt bad about shooting you down. It caused you to lose your tailfin, not be able to fly on your own. I'm sorry…"

"Don't worry about it, Hiccup. Yes, the crash caused me to lose my tailfin and ability to fly on my own. But it caused her control to fade. You went through all the work of getting closer, earning my trust. You built me a new tail," Toothless reminded.

"One you can only fly with me working the parts," Hiccup added in.

"And I don't mind at all," Toothless chuckled. "Besides, you did make me a take I could use without you."

"And you broke it!" Hiccup argued.

"I prefer to fly with you. The fact a human boy managed to figure out flight so that nothing is different is interesting. I'm a lot like you, Hiccup. I was different from my packmates too." Toothless stated. "It's alright. I hold no resentment towards you for what happened. You spared my life, you showed me not all humans are bad."

"So you only use this form, when?" Hiccup wondered.

"When I know I won't get caught. Or, at least, hadn't thought I would be." Toothless said. "Easier to bathe in this form. I heard you calling for me, that why I got out to change back. I hadn't anticipated just how close you were. And obviously in this form, my sense of hearing and smell aren't as good." He shrugged. "I thought you'd be at the forge longer."

"I thought I would be too, but Gobber returned and I asked to leave to find you. I was worried," Hiccup informed.

"Why?" Toothless tilted his head.

"Before knowing you could transform into a human, I knew that as a dragon, you can't fly without me. I didn't want you getting attacked and be defenseless." Hiccup replied.

"Ah, no worries, Hiccup. I'm always alright," Toothless reassured.

"Now that I know…When we're alone, can you take this form? So we can talk, like we are?" Hiccup wondered.

"I can, if you like. Don't you have other friends to talk to?" Toothless asked.

"I do, but you're my best friend. First real friend…" Hiccup responded.

"I'm special to you?" Toothless laughed a bit.

"I suppose you are." Hiccup nodded.

"So, can I ask you something?" Toothless hoped.

"Sure, I guess," Hiccup motioned for him to go ahead.

"Why do you pleasure yourself?" Toothless questioned. Hiccup's eyes widened a bit, cheeks beginning to burn with a light blush. "I know you do it. I can hear you moving, making soft sounds, heavy breathing." Hiccup's blush worsened. "I've seen the way you move, it's not from being uncomfortable and trying to sleep. And it's okay. "But why do you pleasure yourself? What reason?" Toothless asked.

"W-Well, there are times that I get…Aroused. New feelings in the body as I get older where I want…Release through pleasure. Dad and Gobber told me about it, that as I got older, I'd want things I can't have until marriage." Hiccup told him.

"I think so, but I was told no by my dad. And he's also the chief, so I can't exactly go against him. To prevent accidents, or whatever." Hiccup replied.

"But you do want to know how it feels to have release? With someone?" Toothless wondered.

"I do, but I can wait until I'm married. In a couple years." Hiccup smiled.

"What if you could do it with no worry of getting someone pregnant?" Toothless questioned. "Would you?"

"If I knew beyond the shadow of a doubt that there was no way a girl would get pregnant, then yes." Hiccup nodded lightly.

"I could do it with you." Toothless offered.

Hiccup's eyes widened with shock at what his friend suggested. "Wh-What?"

"We could have sex," Toothless told him.

"You're a male!" Hiccup countered.

"So? Doesn't Gobber like boys? It's not wrong. And I saw you staring at me, you've taken peeks while we talked." Toothless chuckled.

"You're a dragon! My father would kill me." Hiccup said.

"I wouldn't let him do that, you know I'd keep you safe, Hiccup. I always have since we ended the war. Also, me being a dragon makes it better, no one has to know but us." Toothless informed. Hiccup stared at him. "Hear me out, okay?" Hiccup nodded. "Everyone knows me as Toothless, the dragon. No one knows I can change forms, but you. So we could do this, have sex with me in this form when we're alone. No one would think twice about us taking off for a flight. Also, I'm a male…So no pregnancy would come of us doing this. Hiccup was oddly attracted to his dragon friend in human form and with all the weird things in his life, it didn't seem strange to him. Hiccup finally relaxed when Toothless deepened the kiss and let all his thoughts and worries about the idea Toothless gave him fade away.

Toothless gently broke the kiss and looked into his friend's green eyes. "It's just friends helping friends, Hiccup. I know you've never considered the through of doing it with a guy before…But you can't deny that it would work out to achieve the goal of releasing when aroused, even stressed out," Toothless said. "No one knows I can change forms, and we're alone pretty often during flights. You know this island well, I'm sure you have secret places we could be alone and do this without anyone following or being caught. Not like anyone would really care about you being off with your dragon." He added. "It can be just between us…What do you think?"

Hiccup sat there a moment and actually considered the idea fully. It wasn't a bad one, it would work and be so much better than him thrusting into his blanket or hand when he got turned on. Sometimes it happened when he was totally relaxed too. There really was no harm in doing things, no one had to know. "Okay," Hiccup looked at Toothless. "We should move out of the open," Toothless informed after breaking their making out.

"Let's go over to the cave. It's big enough for both of us, and goes deep in that anyone flying over wouldn't see us from above." Hiccup suggested.

Hiccup and Toothless got off the log they were sitting on, then walked over to the cave in the rocks and got inside. Hiccup tossed down his bag, then pulled out a blanket to lay on the ground.
