Most of you probably forgot about this little piece.
I probably should not have started something I could not imagine myself finishing. However, the interest you all have shown in this concept simply astounds me and it has been a pleasure to read your reviews of the first chapter. A large part of me can not believe that people are still discovering what I have written over a year publishing. And it is a combination of that initial and continued interest that has encouraged me to do something. While I can not bring myself to publish another chapter, I hope someone else can take this idea and run with it.
There are not a lot of fanfics (that I know of) containing blind characters, and I would love to see more people within the community give the challenge a shot.
Alternatively, if you want to take on this exact story feel free to do so. I am not going to expand upon it further, however I do have some rough ideas planned out.
Harry/Fleur pairing
(very) slow burn. I was not planning on having a romantic relationship between the two until Harry's fifth year or later
To be honest, I did not have many specifics planned out. However, I did want Harry's fourth year to primarily revolve around overcoming his blindness, the beginning of his relationship with Fleur and the Triwizard Tournament. I had no plan to give him an eye similar to Moody or heal his face in any way. I also had a few ideas on how he could handle his summer with the Dursley's and the the Quidditch World Cup, but nothing I could put into words at the time I was gearing up to write it.
If you somehow feel inspired to write a blind Harry fanfic, I would love if you sent me a message when you publish the first chapter so I could read them. Alternatively, if you wanna take more directly from what I have written I am fine with that as well. All I ask is that you let me know so I can read it along with the rest of the fanfiction community.
I know many fanfictions don't end up being finished, however I did not intend for that to be the case and simply did not recognize the amount of dedication it takes to write a story beyond a single chapter. For this, I am sorry.
