About two weeks had passed since Hiccup had become chieftain of Berk, and was supposed to get married to Astrid, originally. "You're usually done with village things after dinner, why so long tonight?" Toothless wondered.

"Last minute meeting with the council, and Odin knows that Snotlout and the twins don't make it easy…" Hiccup mumbled.

"I really don't think you should have included them as members of the council, love. Messengers, sure. But not part of the council." Toothless sat down on the bench near the tub with a smile.

"I know…But it was part of being chief to set the next council and second in command. They have a lot to learn if they're going to take over after the others retire," Hiccup informed. "I may switch things up, pick three others to take their place…"

"It might be for the best not to have them in a place they wouldn't be of any help to you." Toothless agreed.

"I've got to look around the village, see who could be put there…" Hiccup stated.

"No need to think about it tonight, Hic. I can see how tired you are," Toothless mentioned.

"I hate it…" Hiccup muttered. "Working so late and the fact we don't have a lot of time together anymore. Don't get me wrong, love being chief but…"

"It doesn't help that I keep having to take off to go help the others settle in on Dragon Island. We're both busy…So not all the fault is on your job as chief." Toothless chuckled. "Then we'll get done super early to have some time to ourselves, and make sure everyone knows not to bother us." Toothless reassured.

"Yes, definitely need to make sure of that," Hiccup nodded. "I know everyone knows, but still none of their business."
