Chapter 2. Dealing with the Consequences.

Sianna looked around the spacious bedroom. Vegeta didn't own that much stuff. The bed was surrounded by two nightstands. A desk was leaning against the wall but there was nothing on it as Vegeta never worked in the bedroom. The colour scheme was the same as it used to be, gray and black. A dark room for a dark soul.

Vegeta returned from the walk-in closet with a dress in his hands. The dress looked lacy and way too revealing. The man turned to Sianna and pressed the dress in her hands. "Put this on."

Sianna scoffed as she looked at the nightgown. "I might as well go naked."

Vegeta shrugged. "I don't care." He turned and headed back into the walk-in closet. Sianna studied the dress before she walked over to the bathroom and went in there to change her clothes. Taking off the black pleasure-slave dress, she sighed as she studied the nightgown she had to wear now. At least the pleasure-slave dress was quite simple and relatively unrevealing as it only had to show off her status and not give out a show for every soldier to see. This nightgown, however, was made to impress… It was meant to make her look beautiful for her owner. And knowing that made her sick.

Her nightgown was way too short and two slits on the sides were covered by black see-through lace, showing off way more than she wanted. She mentally chastised herself. It was just a dress. Vegeta was just one man. This didn't change anything about her. She just had to persevere. Opening the door, Sianna looked out just in time to see Vegeta had taken all his clothes off and was now stepping in the bed only dressed in his boxers.

"What do you think you're doing?" Sianna exclaimed.

Vegeta – already seated in the bed – looked in her direction. His eyes took in her appearance and he tilted his head. "Such a waste you don't always dress like this."

"Don't give me that." Sianna complained as she walked closer to the bed. "I'm not sleeping in the same bed as you while you're dressed like that."

Vegeta rolled his eyes. "Luckily, you don't have a choice. Now get in here."

"I don't understand why I have to sleep in the same bed."

"Concubines sleep in the same bed as their masters. Besides," A smirk appeared on Vegeta's face, "I might get cold."

A shiver overtook Sianna as she considered lying in Vegeta's arms. It made the Saiyan prince laugh. "What if Comora comes rushing in here in the middle of the night and notices that you're not in bed with me. How would I explain that? And don't say that I could say I prefer it like that. I made Stirania sleep in my bed straight from the start."

Sianna took a breath as she walked to the other side of the bed. "If I feel anything tonight…"

"Don't worry. I've done all the feeling I need." Vegeta responded sweetly.

Sianna could feel her cheeks heat up as she remembered how Vegeta's hand slipped under her bra earlier today. The young woman didn't say anything but decided to focus on crawling under the covers.

The two were silent for a moment. Sianna glanced sideways to the man who'd caused so much suffering among her friends. He looked weirdly normal. The man had his eyes closed as one of his arms was curled under his head as some form of makeshift pillow.

"There must be more interesting things to stare at."

Sianna pressed her lips together. Why was he always aware of his surroundings even with his eyes closed? "Did you rape Stirania when you first met her?"

Vegeta opened his eyes and turned his head sideways to look at her. "Of course not." He responded, sounding angry. He considered his answer for a moment. "Do people think that?"

Sianna turned on her side so she could look at him easier. "The story goes that she didn't want to sleep with you at first but that you didn't want to let her go. However, she agreed to become your concubine when you suggested to save her sisters."

Vegeta scoffed. "It's amazing how I always get the short end of the stick in these stories." He turned his eyes back to the ceiling. "No, actually, Stirania was given to me as a concubine. I told her I didn't need to sleep with her if she didn't want to. Granted, I fell in love with her the moment I saw her. She's still a beautiful woman. We had a platonic relationship. We agreed she could pretend to be my concubine as it would save her from having to work as a real pleasure slave. After a couple months, she realized her sisters were to be sold in a slave market. She begged me to buy them and take them in. So, I did." The man took breath. "Pain in the asses, all of them. That night she tried to sleep with me. I told her I didn't want her to feel obligated to have sex with me in exchange for the lives of her sisters." He fell silent for a moment as his gaze seemed distant. "She smiled at me. That crazy sexy smile she has… And told me what I had just said made her want to sleep with me even more. And so, our relationship began."

Sianna showed a small smile at this weirdly humane emotion Vegeta showed. "Do you miss her?"

"Makes no sense to miss someone. Do I want to be near her? Yes, also because she's currently creating my child. I'd prefer to help her as much as I can. I had to leave her behind though."

Sianna sat up. "Stirania's pregnant?" Vegeta slowly nodded in return. Sianna gasped for air and placed a hand in front of her mouth. How badly she wanted to go all the way to planet Earth to congratulate her former colleague. "And she's alone in the woods?"

"She went to live with Bulma." Vegeta responded. "Right after I left. I didn't want to go but… I had to stop this from happening. And I couldn't take her along. This might end up becoming an intergalactical war. I couldn't take the risk of stressing her out or her getting hurt. She had to stay behind."

Sianna tilted her head. "Of course. You made the right decision."

"No," Vegeta slowly shook his head, "I abandoned my own spawn to save someone else's."

"Whom is practically your own." Sianna said, smiling at him. It was always weird to think of Gohan and Vegeta feeling closer to each other than just master and slave or mentor and pupil.

Vegeta met her eyes for a moment and his expression changed. "So, what is this, a therapy session?" He snarled at her. Sianna raised an eyebrow at this sudden change of atmosphere. "Why are you wasting my precious resting time with useless chatter. Ugh, women and their chatter mouths. Go to sleep. Now."

Sianna scoffed before she lay down and pulled the sheets up to her chin. "Men and their disability to show emotions." She complained. The young woman turned her back on Vegeta and shifted as far away from him as she possibly could without falling out of the bed.

Vegeta looked down when he realized the sheets were shifting along with her and he reached down to pull them back. Sianna was pulled along and forced to fall back on her back. She frowned at Vegeta before she turned on her side again and pulled the sheets with her. The two warriors tugged and pulled on the sheets for a bit before they both released the sheets and gave angry stares at the world around them.

The silence in the room continued until they both fell asleep.

It had been four days since the hostile takeover. Gohan knew this because he'd been counting his meals. He knew prisoners received three small meals a day. So, after three meals, the fourth meal would signify a new day. Then again, Vegeta was aware of Gohan's knowledge about the detention center so it was possible that the man would make sure Gohan was receiving a different number of meals just to mess with him. He wouldn't put it past the Saiyan prince.

Gohan had his eyes closed as he let his mind wander. As much as he hated it, meditation was the only thing he could do to not go crazy in this cell. The lights were on all the time, so he hardly got any sleep. He knew the cells were not made for long-term holding. He hadn't seen anyone since Tobney was taken out of the cell four days ago. The only person he'd seen was the slave who came in and brought him a meal. And it was a small plate at that. Less than what any prisoner would get. Gohan knew Vegeta was aware of Gohan's constant need for food and keeping the youngster on a limited diet would also keep him weaker.

Gohan opened his eyes when the door opened. He already felt the presence before it reached him. The half-Saiyan didn't get up. He figured the man would come to him.

Vegeta was carrying a plate with some greens on it. Leftover food from the buffet, probably. Gohan waited for the Saiyan prince to sit down opposite him. "Look at you, meditating. I'd say you've finally grown up."

"What do you want, Vegeta?"

"It's lord Vegeta for you now." Vegeta held up the plate and he pulled it back when Gohan reached out to it. The half-Saiyan could feel his stomach clench in hunger as he eyed the plate, but he focused his gaze on the Saiyan prince. "Say 'please give me the food, lord Vegeta'."

Gohan clenched his fists as he realized Vegeta was enjoying this. The youngster scoffed as he crossed his arms. "Keep it." He stated.

"All right." Vegeta placed the plate on the ground right next to him. Gohan's eyes followed the plate while he could hear his stomach growl, but he refused to give in to Vegeta's games. "I don't mind. I already ate four plates for dinner but there's always room for more."

"What are you doing here?"

"I wanted to see you."

"You just want to torture me."

"Are you admitting you feel tortured by this? Does this cause you pain?" Vegeta reached out to the plate and grabbed a vegetable. He held it up to the half-Saiyan. "You haven't had anything to eat for hours. You must be starving." He pushed the vegetable closer to the half-Saiyan for a moment. Gohan was silent as he stared through the vegetable and at the Saiyan prince. Vegeta shrugged before he pushed the vegetable in his own mouth and ate it. Holding Gohan's dark gaze, Vegeta munched on the green and swallowed it. "Delicious."

Gohan closed his eyes to continue his meditation. He didn't notice that this made a small smile appear on Vegeta's face. The man was amused by Gohan's resilience. Vegeta grabbed another green from Gohan's plate. "Stirania's pregnant." He tossed the green in his mouth.

Gohan opened his eyes again. "What? She is? How far along is she?" Gohan knew the two had been trying to conceive a child for a couple months now. They started it when they figured they weren't going to move any time soon.

"Two months. We were about to tell you."

"Unbelievable." Gohan whispered as he leaned back against the wall behind him. "Why are you telling me this?"

Vegeta shrugged. "Figured you would like to know. Before you leave."

"Where am I going?"

"Slave market. We're going to sell you." Vegeta noticed how Gohan closed his eyes for a moment. The half-Saiyan couldn't help but show his misery as he realized what he was going to have to undergo. Being sold in a slave market was degrading, objectifying and generally humiliating. And he was certain Vegeta was going to make it as horrifying as he possibly could. "You'll make us more than enough to buy a couple new slaves and make some changes to the regime."

While Vegeta glanced to Gohan's plate and started to push a few greens around to find the ones he liked, his subordinate took a deep breath to steady his nerves. "What's going to happen to Sianna and Tobney?"

"Why aren't you asking about Videl?" Vegeta glanced to the half-Saiyan. "She's your lover, isn't she?"

"I was hoping you'd forgotten about her."

"Did you send her away?"

"When would I have done that?" Gohan returned. "I was locked in this dungeon after being drugged by my advisor. I didn't even realize she was gone."

Vegeta pressed his lips together. "Fair enough. I don't know who sent her away. Probably Sianna, pain in the ass."

"How is Sianna?" Gohan was serious now. He'd felt very concerning sensations just a few days ago. Vegeta was very close to her while Sianna was terrified. If he didn't know Vegeta any better, he would have assumed terrible things. He was afraid to ask about it though.

"You'll find out soon." Vegeta gave him a smirk before he got up. "Well, this has been fun." He made sure to take the plate with him. "I'll be back tomorrow to see if you're ready to call me by my title. Of course, you'll have to beg me for your food tomorrow. And it will only get worse the longer you refuse to do so."

Gohan could feel his stomach rumbling as he watched Vegeta walk away with the only meal he was going to get for the remainder of the day. The youngster waited for the Saiyan prince to leave before he allowed his body to slump down, and he leaned his head back against the wall. His stomach clenched painfully, and he felt nauseous. The half-Saiyan sat up again and forced his mind to focus on his breathing. He would go back to meditation. It would be the only thing that would keep him sane…

A few hours later, Vegeta was sitting in his office, typing an email to one of the allied companies while hoping to be able to persuade that allied company to stay allied to his company despite recent events. The man felt a slight shift in energy right before the doors opened and revealed a face he remembered all too well.

"How dare you!" The vision stalked closer to his desk as she spoke.

"Lady Kanda," Vegeta got up from his seat as he watched her walk closer, "what a pleasant surprise."

"Release my husband right now!" Kanda's face was flushed with anger. He'd never seen such a strong gaze from her. They'd always been on civil terms.

"Lady Kanda, please calm down…"

"Do not presume you have any right to order me to do something, Vegeta." She responded.

"Please refer to my title when you speak to me, Lady Kanda." Vegeta kept his civilized voice as he spoke to the heiress. "I earned my place so you might as well do me the honours."

"You earned your place…?" Kanda repeated. "…by drugging your opponents? Real heroic."

The sarcasm in her voice slightly chipped at his pride. Still, he told himself, a win was a win. The circumstance didn't matter. "What can I do for you, Lady Kanda?"

"You can take me to my husband so I can take him away from here." Kanda pointed to the doorway as if Tobney was standing there.

"I can definitely take you to your husband. He cannot go with you though." Vegeta kept his gaze sober. While he liked taunting his inferiors, he knew he had to stay somewhat meek when it came to his allied companies. And Kanda was a big one at that. He could not afford to lose her company.

"I want you to release him now." Kanda's fists came down on his desk.

"Then you'll have to name a price." Vegeta's voice changed to a somewhat stern tone as he spoke. Kanda's hands left his desk as she stood straight to face him. "He's a slave now. If you want him back, you'll have to buy him from us." The man shrugged casually. "I can't promise I will accept an offer though."

Kanda held his gaze for a moment. "This is unbelievable." She seemed to calm down a little as she considered the conversation.

Adding to the icy atmosphere, the door opened to reveal Sianna. The young slave entered the room while holding a plate of clean mugs and glasses she was told to retrieve from the kitchen. The young woman seemed surprised as her eyes took in the situation.

Kanda gave a distracted look over her should but did a double take before she turned around and looked at Sianna. "What?" She looked back to Vegeta. "Seriously, Vegeta?" Her hands moved up in the air in an annoyed manner. "Seriously!? One of your most promising soldiers?"

"One of the highest-ranking soldiers whom I should have killed when I usurped the leadership, you mean?" Vegeta challenged. Sianna's mouth was a thin line as she quietly walked closer to the other two.

Kanda lowered her arms and seemed to consider him for a moment. "This is a mistake, Vegeta." Her voice was suddenly calm but icy cold. "You just enslaved three of my best friends. And not only mine, but also of Lady Lizis. And Lizis is not happy." Kanda pointed a finger at him. "If you're not careful, you will not only lose two of your allies, but you will find yourself at war with two of the largest companies in the universe."

Vegeta could see the threat in her words and in her eyes. She was willing to wage war over this right now. However, it wouldn't be wise to start a war over two lives. Kanda was aware of this. She would never sacrifice hundreds of lives just to save one life. No matter how dear the life was to her. And Lizis wouldn't either.

"My apologies that it had to happen this way, Lady Kanda. We've always been on civil terms and I'd like that to continue, despite our differences." Vegeta's voice was still calm and collected. Sianna met Kanda's eyes for a moment but she lowered them immediately after that. Kanda figured there was a message in that. Sianna was being way too obedient.

Kanda looked back to Vegeta. "I thought you were going to take me to see my husband?" Her change in attitude was so surprising that Vegeta needed a moment to recollect his thoughts.

"Yes. Please follow me, Lady Kanda." Vegeta motioned to the doorway and started around his desk to meet her.

Kanda met Sianna's gaze once more. "Don't give up. We'll save you. Soon you'll be rid of this creep."

Sianna smiled in return. "I know."

Vegeta didn't like the little conversation between the two women, and he got Kanda's attention by inviting her to walk to the door. "Let's go, Lady Kanda. I'll show you where you can find your husband."

Meanwhile, Comora's hand left his scouter. "Copy that." He stated before he got up. Tobney was offering his former comrades drinks from a platter. The young warrior looked sideways when Comora appeared next to him. Taking the platter from the youngster, Comora grabbed Tobney's chin and made the slave look to the side. The man narrowed his eyes at the bruise on Tobney's cheek.

Grabbing the serum from the table, Comora used it to heal the bruise on Tobney's cheek. "Itoro, grab a clean shirt for him." He ordered.

"What's going on?" Suno asked while Itoro got up from the couch to fetch the clothing for Tobney.

"Lady Kanda wants to see him." Comora responded. "We could have expected the women to look for their boys." His turquoise hand turned Tobney's face to the other side and he applied the serum to a cut on the youngster's neck. "She mentioned Lady Lizis as well. Those two could make matters difficult for us if they want to."

Itoro returned with a clean shirt. Comora tugged on Tobney's shirt to tell him to take it off. The slave complied with the order and took off the shirt. He accepted the clean shirt from Itoro. Comora studied the bruises on Tobney's torso and considered using the serum to remove those as well. The bruises disappeared under his white shirt though. Comora figured Tobney would have to take off his shirt for Kanda to see the bruises and he had no reason to do that.

The second-in-command grabbed Tobney's shoulders tightly. "Now," he said, staring into Tobney's eyes, "you will not say anything negative to Lady Kanda. We did not hurt you."

"Oh, come on." Tobney snarled in response. "She's not an idiot."

"Fine. We are treating you properly."

"She'll see right through that too." Tobney ignored the way in which Comora's fingers dug into his shoulders. "Kanda happens to be one of the smartest people I know, and you know it too."

"If you say anything to set her off, we will make sure to torture Sianna until Kanda manages to free her, got it?" Comora pulled Tobney so close their noses almost touched.

"Fine." Tobney growled in response.

"Good. Now." Comora briefly brushed through Tobney's dark-blue hair to make it a little neater before he grabbed the platter and pushed it back in the slave's hands. "Continue what you were doing."

"Yes, sir." Tobney walked back to the small kitchen in order to put the platter away.

Vegeta and Kanda emerged from the hallway. Kanda ignored the rest of the group as she made for her husband. "Tobney!" She said dramatically. "What did they do to you?" She threw her arms around his shoulders and hugged him close. Her voice came to him in a whisper. "We'll get you out of here." He could barely hear it, but he managed to respond by gently tightening the grip of his arms around her for a moment before loosening it again.

Vegeta was with them in a heartbeat. "Well, you've seen him. He's fine. Let's go."

Kanda released Tobney and turned to face the Saiyan prince. "I want monthly visits."

"Lady Kanda." Vegeta didn't get very far as she interrupted him.

"You're threading on very thin ice, Vegeta. If you don't want to lose two allies in one go, you'd better give me what I want." Kanda crossed her arms over each other and gave him a strict expression. Tobney carefully eyed Vegeta to see how the Saiyan prince would react. The moment Vegeta met his eyes Tobney lowered his gaze again.

"Fine. You can visit us once a month. You'll have to make an appointment for it though." Vegeta offered as counteroffer.

"Sure, it will give you time to clean them up." Kanda uncrossed her arms. "Fine. Once a month I will schedule an appointment to check up on both Tobney and Sianna. I expect them to be in good health every time I see them. Do we have a deal?"

"And what will you do in return?" Vegeta asked.

"I will continue to do business with your company." Kanda returned. "I can't speak for Lizis, but I will put in a good word for you."

Vegeta stared at her for a moment. The man's gaze briefly moved to Comora. The second-in-command met his gaze and made a slight nod as a way of approving of the deal. Vegeta looked back to the businessowner in front of him. "Fine. It's a deal." He offered his hand to her.

Kanda took his hand, and they sealed the deal by shaking hands. Kanda released Vegeta and turned to look at Tobney. She took his pale hands in hers. "The kids are fine. They're at home. We'll take good care of them."

"Please don't worry too much." Tobney's voice was still rough as he'd done a lot of screaming a few hours ago. It was one type of damage they couldn't fix or hide. "It's not good for the baby."

"The baby will be fine. Don't worry." She gave a small smile. "I'm just sorry you won't be there for the birth. You have a good reason though."

"Sadly." Tobney smiled in return. "But know that I will be there in spirit, cheering you on. You'll do great."

Kanda could feel her eyes starting to tear up. It suddenly hit her that Tobney wasn't a free person anymore. He was a slave now. He couldn't do what he wanted to do anymore. His life belonged to others now.

"Okay," Vegeta stated, "it's time to go now."

"Yes," Kanda nodded once, "but first…" she placed a hand on the back of Tobney's neck and gently pushed him closer and leaned in for a kiss. It was brief. It was sweet. And it was goodbye. For now.

Comora waited for Kanda to leave the room before he looked to Tobney. The young warrior was eying the doorway. Comora took a breath. "Okay, guys, let's train." He stated. The man turned to Tobney. "It's time for you to go back to your cage."

Tobney meekly allowed himself to be locked up. Comora studied the youngster for a moment. "We'll take at least two hours." He stated.

Tobney wasn't sure why Comora put so much emphasis on how long they would be gone. Still, he waited for everyone to leave the room before he allowed the pressure in his stomach to build up. He could feel his eyes pricking as the tears pushed their way through. Sinking through his knees, he hid his face behind his hands and cried.

***** DBZ **** DBZ ****

"Why don't you kill him?"

Vegeta looked up to Comora in response to the question. "Kill who?"

"Gohan." Comora was sitting opposite him. The two were discussing the upcoming slave-market and other business-related topics. Sianna was sitting in the corner of the room. She had her eyes closed. She appeared to be meditating.

Vegeta shook his head. "No."

"Why not?"

The Saiyan prince was about to take a sip from his coffee when he realized the cup was empty. "Sianna, coffee!" He called. The young woman in the corner of the room opened her eyes and got up. "Gohan spared my life during the rebellion. If it wasn't for him, I would be dead. I owe him one." Vegeta gave the empty cup to Sianna. She turned and walked away. "If I spare him now, I can kill him next time I see him."

Comora slowly nodded his head. "Fair enough." The man stretched his arms. "We are thinking about selling Tobney."

Vegeta raised his eyebrows. "Really? I figured you would want to keep him around for a while longer."

Comora shrugged. "The slave market will take about a week to organize. We'll be done with him by then. And we could earn a few dimes from him. He'll make a great pleasure slave."

Vegeta chuckled in response. "I agree." Sianna was just placing the coffee on his desk and she wanted to walk away again but Vegeta's hand curled around her wrist and held her. "What do you think, sweetheart? Can you imagine Tobney as a pleasure slave?"

Sianna's hand clenched into a fist but she kept her face neutral. "It's your call, sir."

"That doesn't answer my question."

He was messing with her. Sianna realized this as she looked into his dark eyes. Vegeta may not force her to sleep with him but he did enjoy getting the best of her. He enjoyed torturing her in any way he could. She took a deep breath before she looked over at Comora. "I disagree. I think it would be a waste. If you know Tobney as well as I do, you know that it would kill him."

His red eyes burned into her yellow orbs. "I see you still find it quite difficult to address me in the proper way."

Vegeta smirked as he tilted his head sideways. "You've noticed this? The authority issues are dire. How did you let it get this far?" Sianna frowned as he forced her to step closer to him. "I don't remember it being this bad."

"Please let me go, sir." Sianna said politely.

"I would like apology for Comora. You should address your betters in the proper way."

Sianna's mouth was a thin line as she looked to Comora. "I'm sorry, sir. I should have addressed you properly." She gasped when Vegeta's hand pulled on her wrist and forced her down. Vegeta waited for her to reach the proper height and he smiled at her as he reached out and petted her head. "Good girl."

Sianna's mouth fell open in response to this treatment. Vegeta now placed his hand on her shoulder and maneuvered her body into a kneeling position next to him. "Now, stay there until you're needed again."

Vegeta grinned as he looked back to Comora and took a deep breath. "There's nothing more entertaining than taming a little brat, is there?"

Comora returned the sentiment. "It's especially fun when they pretend to be so tough."

Sianna clenched her fists on her lap as she had her gaze lowered to the ground. The two men proceeded to ignore her for the rest of the conversation. That was until Comora placed his empty cup on the table.

"Wait, I just remembered. We don't know where the human girl is." He stated.

Vegeta raised an eyebrow at his subordinate. "Who?" He knew who Comora was talking about. He noticed Videl was gone back when they first attacked the trio. He'd kept quiet about this though. He hoped Sianna sent Videl away to look for help.

"Videl. The human. She unaccounted for." Comora stated. "We can't find her."

"So? She's a human. There's nothing she can do to mess this up."

"Don't forget. She's friends with this one." Comora nodded to Sianna. "And nobody has seen her since we took over."

Vegeta pressed his lips together and crossed his arms over each other. "So, send out a reward for her head. That will bring her in quickly enough."

"A reward?"

"1 million credits." Vegeta supplied as the reward. "She's only human and she has no idea how to navigate space. If every bounty hunter in the universe is searching for her, she'll be found in no time."

I hope you liked it! Please review and let me know what you think

Next time on Slave Soldier:

Vegeta stopped right in front of the half-saiyan. "I feel resentment."

"Let the others go." Gohan responded. Vegeta raised an eyebrow at him. "You've got me. So sell me, and leave the others out of it."

"I could do that." Vegeta said thoughtfully. "However, I can also take revenge on all of you runts. And that sounds like so much fun."

"I'm going to kill you if you don't get out of my way soon!" Gohan made a wide gesture with his arm as he said this.

"With a power level of 5000? I don't think so." Suno returned, smirking.

"But we would love to see you try." Itoro added.

Vegeta's eyes were wide as he placed his fists on his hips. The man let out a chuckle. "I have to say I'm impressed."

"I'm not." Comora grumbled. "This is just the type of thing she would have done back in the days."

"Exactly. The power drop doesn't faze her because she's used to it."

Sianna ran closer to the window and placed her hands on the glass. "GOHAN! STOP!" She yelled.
