Luna run petrified through the storm which was becoming worse. It was raining so hard so you can barely see where are you going and the fact that was almost night just made things worse. But Luna didn't mind the lightning, rain or wind. She just wanted to hide in her room, away from everybody. No matter how much she like to be around people, right now she want to be as far away as possible. The way how students and people looked at her in with fear and disgust in there eyes, making her feel like freak.
Soon she arrived in front of her yard gate and it crossed her mind for a moment that her parents probably at school by now and looking at the mess she make. She shake her head and go inside. When she got inside house was quiet and dark. Luna tried to turn the lights on but when she press the switch, nothing happened., there is probably no electricity here either'. So she just go up to her room to take clean clothes and flashlight and go straight to the bathroom for long hot shower. She didn't saw Sunny or Star anywhere, Mum must have taken them with her to school to pick her up.' though it Luna and entered in bathroom. She put flashlight in corner of shelf so it cat light most of bathroom.
She didn't noticed how much her muscles were sore and her body feel tired and heavy, but warm water make it a lot better. When finished cleaning her body she put one her dark green sweater and light blue pants and looked at the mirror. As the light from the flashlight fell and partially illuminated her face, it making her reflection look creepy. But that wasn't what caught her attention in this case, it was what Maya had said after the accident. A memory flashed across her eyes, how shocked Maya says,, Luna ... Your eyes. They glow." Luna just stood in front of the mirror drying her hair with a towel and looking at her own eyes in the reflection, while Maya's words repeating over and over itself inside her head.
Luna was snapped out of her trance by the sound of the front door opening and her mother's voice calling out to her. ,,Luna! Are you home!?" Her mother shouted with panic in her voice. ,, I am in bathroom mom. I will come out in second!" yelled Luna from bathroom and hurriedly dried her hair and then wrapped it in another drier towel. When she finished she go down in living room. When she enter, she saw how her mother with Sunny and Star sit on couch and looking sadly and stressed in lump. As soon as Marina noticed Luna entering the room, she suddenly stood up and pulled Luna into a tight hug and began to tremble while her eyes watered.,, Thank god you are alright" Marina whispered in her hoarse trembling voice.
They hugged like that for a few minutes until Marina calmed down and made sure that Luna was unharmed.,, I saw what you did to a car" Marina broke the silence by saying that. Luna didn't dare say anything for fear of angering her mom, so she stayed quiet, but Marina continued. ,, Do you know how scared I was when I came and saw that the car was half crushed and you were nowhere to be found? When they told me what happened and that you simply ran in such a storm! If your abilities had not been activated, you could have been injured or killed! What were you thinking Luna!?" Luna felt even more guilty for causing her mother to worry so much. She had no idea what could happen, nor did she know that the abilities would be activated. The only thing on her mind at that moment was to save Maya. Originally, she just wanted to get to her in hopes that she would be pulled before she was hit by a car.
,, I am so sorry mom... i didn't think." Luna replied so quietly that only her mother could hear her. A moment later two eevees spoke from the couch with a comforting and slightly sad look in their eyes. Marina released Luna from her embrace so she could sit on the couch next to Sunny and Star. As soon as Luna and Marina sat down on the couch, Sunny and Star sat on Luna's lap and started cuddling with her. Luna took them in a gentle hug, taking care to more hurt Star's broken paw and rubbed her forehead against Sunny's then she did the same whit Star. Sunny began to lick Luna's cheek, making her laugh a little.
- We are home!- An unknown male voice spoke from the corridor, creating a small panic in the moon's head.,, Who is there?" Luna asked, making Marina giggle at the same time, thinking Luna was joking.,, i admire that you are trying to joke and make light of the situation but it looks like pikachu and your dad are back." Luna looked at her mother all confused. A second later, Pikachu entered the living room all wet, as if he was constantly exposed to totodile's water attacks.- What a storm. It's worse than when articuno and zapdos fight.- Luna noticed that the voice was coming from pikachu. Just like in the forest when she planned her attack on the golbat, she could understand what the pokemon was saying.- Shut up overgrown you rodents. You see, this is no time for your whining. After all it's just a little water.- This time Sunny answered him in a scolding tone. Stunned Luna turned to her mother with an amazed look and a spark in her eyes. ,,Mom they are talking!" Luna exclaimed, barely keeping herself from jumping off the couch, lest she drop the eevees from her lap.,, Of course they talk..." Luna quickly interrupted her mother in her determined tone.
Marina didn't know if she should be shocked by this knowledge in general, because after everything that happened in these few days. Not only Marina was surprised. ,,Okay, let's check it out. Ask Pikachu to tell you what happened at training today". Luna turned to pikachu ready to listen. Pikachu thought to himself to see what was unique about today that no one could find out without them being there or them telling them in person. Pikachu dawned and started talking. -During his lunch break the other day, Josh was so lost in thought that he mistakenly poked one of my tomato berries instead of his salad. And we all know how much Jish can't stand spicy food. It was hilarious when he started running to the bathroom to get water.- The pikachu said laughing at his story. Oh how Luna would love to see that. Smiling, Luna turned her head to her father and asked.,, So did you enjoy the tomato berries." That was more than enough to convince Josh that Luna really understood Pokemons.
"You wouldn't believe it. This might come in handy in the future." Josh said proudly to Luna. However, although Marina was happy that something good happened today, they had to talk about today's incident at school. "Josh, we need to talk about this." Marina began to explain together with Luna how while rescuing Maya, she awakened her abilities again and in front of a large number of people. Turns out Pikachu has a very interesting personality, with his jokes and occasional remarks. And he likes to talk about the embarrassing mishaps that happened when he and Josh were young. Especially the ones Josh desperately wants to forget. Luna was glad that at least some of her powers had done "good" by bringing her family even closer together.
And as the moon lay in bed without any indication that sleep would come soon, she began to think about everything that had happened so far., This is getting weirder and weirder. First I can sense someone's something like energy, then I can create something like a force field and now I can understand pokemons.' Luna counted to herself. All this was still unreal to her. As if all this is just a dream and he will wake up soon and be late again who knows where. And if all this scared her, somehow it seemed natural to her, as if it was supposed to happen. Maybe she needed this break from school and any trips to the city after all. No matter how much sleep refused to come to her, she still felt exhausted. From the kitchen, she ate a couple of green apples from the fruit basket and quietly left the house. As she ate one of the apples and gazed at the clear starry sky, she felt her mind slowly begin to calm down.
As Luna enjoyed the crisp autumn night breeze, she felt a slight chill run down her spine. As if someone had noticed him nearby. In a fraction of a second, Luna turned around, sensing someone just a few meters away. At the front door stood a Pikachu, with a confused look in his eyes. Luna let out a sigh of relief at that moment, which she didn't even realize she was holding.
-Why aren't you sleeping Luna? Aren't you tired or is something bothering you?- Pikachu asked her with warmth and concern in his voice as he walked over to sit next to her on the front porch. Maybe Luna managed to get out of talking to Marina, but that's not guaranteed for pokemons. The reason Luna didn't wake up her parents was because she didn't want to worry them. Especially since she used her powers at school in front of a lot of people and word travels pretty fast in Violet City. This could backfire on Luna's father, especially if word got out that his daughter was some kind of super human. Although she could, she still needed to talk to someone. And who can keep secrets from humans better than pokemon who even if they try to say something, it won't make sense to anyone but her. "I just have a lot on my mind. After all, it's not every day you find out you can understand what pokemons say." Luna tried to sound cheerful and turn it into a joke. She'd had enough of the sadness and nagging the past two days.
Pikachu has known Luna since she was a baby, so he knows when she's trying to hide something or when she's trying to be strong. But he didn't want to force her to tell him anything, when she already knew what was bothering her. Instead he looked up at the starry sky and tried to make small chat. - Look at it on the bright side. After what seemed like an eternity, Luna started to yawn from exhaustion. - Looks like someone is sleepy. Come on, let's go to bed- He said with a whimper as he looked at Luna in her sleepy eyes. She nodded her head in agreement and headed to her room along with Pikachu in her arms. That night, Luna fall into a deep, dreamless sleep.
