The warm afternoon sun was shining over the Kanto region, while Luna and her two friends, Star and Sunny, were riding a bus through the Kanto region, one of its cities, Pallet Town. After more thought, Luna decided to go to Professor Oak's lab in person and ask a few questions about the offer he had made a few days ago. Unlike the Johto region, which is mostly mountains and dense forests, the Kanto region is mostly meadows with sparse forests. Luna enjoyed the view as they drove through the region. But the same could not be said for the hyperactive Sunny, who couldn't wait to get off the bus. Star, on the other hand, rested with his head in the Luna's lap while she scratched his back. - How much longer do we have to ride this bus? I swear I'm going to go crazy from boredom or become claustrophobic.- Sunny cried all dramatic. Sunny could never sit in one place for long. She is what people would call an action girl, she always has to do something, otherwise she gets bored quickly.,, One more stop and we'll arrive, but please try to calm down. You're attracting too much attention." Luna told her quiet enough so just her could hear. Luna still didn't feel the safest around people without her parents or raichu by her side. Even if she trusted Sunny and Star completely, they had become like younger brother and sisters to her, while raichu became a second father figure for her. That's why she tried to be quiet during the whole trip and not draw attention to herself.
,, Next stop Pallet Town. Passengers getting off at the station are asked to get ready." The bus announcer announced.- Finally! For the three of them who run about thirty kilometers almost every day, the five kilometer walk to the lab is a gentle warm-up. Luna knew to her core that they couldn't just rush through the city, so they walked the whole way at a slow pace. The city wasn't big like Violet City, but it's a bit cuter because of that, and people who notice her seeming a bit lost would come over to help her and give her directions. Lots of kids would stop her on the way to pet Sunny and Star, and Luna would be asked about their features, moves, as old as they are... And it seemed as if her two companions were enjoying the attention. 'People in this town are much more friendly than I expected.' Luna thought. Through it all Luna didn't even notice they had reached their destination., 'Now or never Luna.' Luna Dick thought, took a deep breath and then entered the laboratory.
When she entered the building, the room (hallway) seemed like a reception area, judging by the decor. Not wanting to waste any time, Luna walked over to the reception desk where sat a brunette not much older than her with black eyes. "Good afternoon, can I help you in any way." The woman smiled with a lovely smile. "Yes please. I should see Professor Oak today." The receptionist scanned her from head to toe with a slightly skeptical look on her face.,, Miss Blackwood, I presume. My name is Saša, I'm glad to finally meet you. although I have to admit, I was expecting someone older." Sasha introduced herself continuously with continuous giggles.,, Admittedly, the professor did not mention that you are also a pokemon trainer. Who are your friends. "" Luna began to feel a little uncomfortable and panic, considering how Sasha was direct. "It's not because I'm not. They are my best friends. We were just talking about you.2 The professor replied with a welcoming expression on his face motioning for Luna to come closer to say hello." I hope for only good things." Luna felt a little lighter when they reached the professor. She knew that if she didn't want to share something or wasn't comfortable with it, Professor Oak wouldn't push her any further. "If you would be so kind as to accompany me and my colleague Sebastian to my office to discuss the offer." The professor suggested as he pointed to his much younger colleague with red hair and golden brown eyes. Luna just nodded her head in agreement and started to follow them from the stairs to their office.
The office was nothing special, what with about ten people with a projector and a screen. When they were settled and sat down, Professor Oak began the conversation. ,, You didn't mention that you were a moment Miss Luna." The professor started an off-topic conversation to get Luna to relax a bit.,, I'm not Professor Oak. They're my best friends, Sunny and Star." The professor reached out and stroked them in the sign of greeting.,, Nice to meet you." Luna liked that pokemon are treated like people here. Although she can't know for sure since she's been far away from humans. ,, I think you have some questions for us , Luna. But sometimes we also have a few questions for you. If you can't answer one or you're uncomfortable, we'll just move on to the next one. Is that okay with you." Luna just nodded. "You may begin Miss Luna." You can't be always prepared for every accident." Luna was prepared even for these kinds of questions.

Luna just made a small affirmative hmm sound. "Your turn Professor." Luna insisted. "Do you have experience for long journeys and survival?" This will require a lot of time in the woods, away from civilization." For a girl who spends more time in the wild than in the woods, that won't be a problem. "My father told you that I practically grew up with wild pokemon, didn't he. Sometimes I I camped in the forest, and since I hated to carry a mess on my forehead for two days, I fed on what I found in the forest. And I wouldn't mind doing that for a long time." , In about seven years I learned so much about survival from wild pokemon that it came to me like second nature.' the Luna smiled at the very thought.,, It's very surprising that you know you're in the wild at such a young age. Luna's experience and her way of thinking. After a while, Professor Oak looked at his watch and commented. "It's time to check the eggs in the incubator. Sebastian, could you do it, please?'' Sebastian did as Professor Oak told him without any objection. In the same second he left the office, leaving Luna and Oak alone.,,Since we are alone now can I ask you a question and have you answer me in a roundabout way?" Luna knew she would find out about this sooner or later. But she was glad nonetheless. that Professor Oak was waiting to ask her in private.,, If it's not too personal I'll answer honestly." Luna answered him. The professor just nodded, understanding that there might be an unpleasant answer.,, I know you're trying to hide some of your abilities, that's why I want to ask you. Can those abilities somehow endanger you on this journey and what are those abilities?" Luna could already see the reason behind such questions and assumptions. That's why she decided not to tell him all but a fraction. ,, I hope this will remain among us professor." Professor Oak could see in Luna's eyes that it was not easy for her to talk about this, but he was glad to share it with him.
,, You see seven years ago..." Luna told him about her encounter with Team Rocket, with modifications of course. She didn't mention to him her ,, call for help,, or what happened to the houndoom. The only thing she left was that she could talk to pokemon. Professor Oak listened intently to her every word and it was formed in his head next picture , That explains why she was so careful and thoughtful for team rocket. And because she understands pokemon silent canyon and information that mostly only pokemon experts know, she learned from pokemon directly. To experience something so young made her mature she is also thinking to be careful.' Professor Oak decided to end this conversation. The story alone gave him all the answers he needed. We will be honored." Luna stood up and shook hands with the professor.
Luna didn't arrive home to Violet City until late that evening. Her parents were waiting for her at home together with Raichu. With a smile, Luna told them the news and how the conversation with the professors went. - So they agreed to leave her alone, that you bring your pokemons and just hand in the reports without too much explanation of what happened or how you did it. - He asked he said, not believing that everything went so smoothly.,, That's right. This is too good an opportunity to pass up. This may be my only chance to find answers. Maybe someone knows something about these abilities and can help me." Luna replied, knowing that the Raichu were just worried about her as usual. ,, You know it won't be easy Luna. You'll be out of the Johto region for the first time and you'll probably be our rarely visit." Her mom told her, drawing her attention to all the changes that might be difficult for her.,, I know it won't be easy at all, but this is like a dream come true. And if I don't find answers, I'll help people and pokemon in need, and not only that, but I'll explore different places and meet new people." The last thing surprised Marina and Josh, if not completely shocked. ,, Luna you…" Marina wanted to ask her something, but Luna immediately cut her off. "Today, when I was in Pallet Town, all the people were so kind and hospitable. And when I went to Silver Mountain with my dad, all his colleagues were nice. It made me realize that I don't need to be so afraid." Marina was touched by Luna's words, because she had returned to her little girl from seven years ago. Josh was very proud of her for taking such a big step on her own. Josh pulled Luna and Marina into a big hug and yelled, "This is to be celebrated. For Luna's new beginning." Everyone laughed at how silly Josh sounded. But he was right that this is a new beginning for Luna.,, It's time, it's time for my adventure to begin." Luna said out loud sounding even crazier than her father but no one cared. They all enjoyed their family dinner while were celebrating.
Later that evening, Luna couldn't sleep from the excitement, so they sat on the front porch eating an apple and looking at the stars. Ever since she found out about her powers, this has become her routine in the middle of the night where sleep refuses to come to her. "I see our little explorer can't sleep." Her dad's voice snapped Luna out of her trance as he walked over to sit next to her on the porch. "I can't believe this is really happening. But it is real." nice. thanks Dad." Luna said.,, Why. I didn't do anything. you went and made a deal yourself." Josh asked confused.,, Thank you for taking me to the Mountain with you. if you hadn't, none of this would have happened. You are the best dad in the whole world." luna explained to him while hugging him. Josh was overjoyed. Luna will be happy. He will do what he likes and be far away from this place.,, Luna, can you just do me one favor." Josh asked her suddenly with a serious and calm tone.,, Of course." Luna said enthusiastically.,, Take raichu with you" Luna was taken aback by his words. after all Josh and raichu had been through together. Luna wanted to rebel but Josh stopped her.,, No argument. He has experience from as we traveled together, he will help you if you encounter any difficulties and most importantly, he will protect you as I would if I were with you. And you said yourself that you see him as a second father." Luna saw that she had no choice but to accept her dad's decision. She only hoped that Raichu would also agree with this.
"Come on now, it's time for bed." As I understand it, you should start work in a couple of days. Where's the first region you're going to." Her dad asked her as he led her to her room. "Professor said I'm going to the Hoenn region first. I can't wait to get started." Luna said and then ran to the window of her room and yelled at the top of her lungs, "Watch out for those rockets, because when you hit the road, you won't know what hit you." Josh couldn't help but laugh. He hadn't seen Luna this cheerful and excited in years, he only hoped that this time she would stay that happy.
