Chapter One: To The Skating Rink

"Oh man. I can't get enough of this song!" Connie shouts as the group is in Steven's car listening to music on the radio.

"And that was Can't Hold Me by Emily King. Just one of the many songs you can request tonight at the Starlight Roller Rink featuring DJ Sour Cream!" Sour Cream shouts on the radio.

"I'm so excited for you to get out there and experience some interpersonal relationships with humans Bismuth, Alexis!" Pearl shouts as she is rolling up Bismuth's shirt sleeves.

"If I didn't know any better Peael I'd think you are more excited about this than we are." Alexis says as she smiles before blushing as Pearl fixes her hair.

"Of course I'm excited! This will be Bismuth first chance to really connect with humans and your chance to make some friendships with other humans." Pearl says excitedly.

"Uh what about Connie and Steven?" Alexis asks.

"Yes they're humans but I mean besides them. Don't be afraid to show off your gem Bismuth. And you Alexis don't be afraid to show who you are either. They're gonna love you for who you are." Pearl says excitedly.

"Hope I can keep up." Bismuth says nervously.

"Yeah. Same here." Alexis says.

"The most important thing to remember is-" Pearl then gets cut off by a man on the radio.

"Are you tired of shady mechanics bleeding you dry?" The man asks before Pearl shrieks excitedly.

"I love this song!" Pearl shouts happily.

"Bring it to Cams." The man say.

"You mean this commercial?" Steven asks as he chuckles.

"Turn it up!" Pearl shouts happily as she turns up the volume and sings along with the commercial before Alexis happily joins in with her.

*Timeskip*

"Here we are!" Pearl shouts as the group walks into the skating rink.

"Wow! So you mean to tell me people pay to have wheels strapped to their feet for fun? That is really something else..." Bismuth says in amazement.

"Yeah. It is fun... when you know what you're doing enough to stay standing. Then not so much." Alexis says.

"Hey there's Sour Cream!" Steven shouts as he sees Sour Cream by the DJ booth.

*Timeskip*

"Keep skatin' in circles. You're doing great." Sour Cream says as he is helping some people skate while the group is getting their skates on.

"Bismuth: I don't know about this y'all. I've never skated before." Bismuth says nervously.

"Yeah and my last skating experience was less than positive." Alexis says.

"This'll be my first time skating." Steven says as he finishes putting his skates on.

"Really? Steven Universe the kid who loves fun? Missed skating? That's a surprise." Alexis says in surprise while smiling.

"How'd you end up missing out on this popular human activity?" Bismuth asks.

"Well with everything that's happened since I got my powers I've kinda missed out on a lot of human stuff. But hey it can't be that hard to skate right?" Steven asks as he smiles and laughs.

"Yoo-hoo! There you are!" Pearl shouts happily as she runs over to three people.

"That was quick." Alexis says.

"Wow so that's Pearl's fan club huh? They seem so..." Bismuth says.

"Friendly and interesting?" Alexis asks.

"I was gonna say out going and bubbly but yes that too." Bismuth says as she looks at Alexis while she is watching Pearl while smiling.

"It's like she has a whole other life going on." Steven says as he smiles before Pearl and her friends come over.

"Steven, Connie, Alexis, Bismuth this is Khadijah, Jaime and Brandish. They're just a few of my human friends." Pearl says happily as she gestures to the people.

"So have you guys known Pearl long?" Khadijah asks.

"I've basically known Pearl my whole life." Steven says.

"Pearl taught me how to use a sword." Connie says proudly.

"I guess I've known Pearl a uh few thousand years." Bismuth says.

"And I've known her since Steven was little." Alexis says shyly as she noticed Pearl smiling at her before blushing.

"That's right! Bismuth also built Little Homeworld. And Alexis is a wolfshifter and has been helping new gems adjust to it." Pearl says proudly much to the amazement of the humans.

"You're also an architect?!" Khadijah asks amazed.

"Somethin' like that." Bisnuth says.

"And you can turn into a wolf!?" Jaime asks excitedly.

"Yeah. I've always been able to do it." Alexis says shyly.
