Chapter 1: Pilot

Summary: In this chapter it will talk about Yugi's and Yami's life story and how they came to be what they are in this will also talk about where Ash and his friends meet the Yu-gi-oh! Group minus Yugi and Yami.

Things You Need To Know!: Ok to start off, Yugi and Yami's personalities are not the same as in the Yu-gi-oh! anime, however Yami is still protective of Yugi. Honda and Brock have met each other at one point in time in the past. Jounouchi and Anzu have been friends since they were kids because they were neighbors. Jou and Anzu found Honda during their Journey. Sadly no duel monsters will be in this story. Plus it's been a while since I watched Pokemon so if I get the regions wrong or Brock and Misty weren't in it or Ash's Pokemon team are not the same well this is the reason why. Okay that's all I'm giving you because I don't want to spoil anymore details.

In the world there are creatures that have special power all over the world. These creatures are called Pokemon's and some live out in the wild, while others have been captured by people to be kept as pets, to be healed before returning to the wild, or to be with trainers that do Pokemon battles. Of course there are wicked people out there who use these Pokemon for their own greed. Some people will capture the creatures and sell them because of the rarity and power, others are used as weapons to gain the person power or devastation to other people.

Not all people are bad though, some people had it hard in life and just lost their way, or maybe they were just born with the wrong people and don't know how to be good. But that's not what this story is about. This story my friend is about two boys who were raised by Pokemon. Now you're probably thinking how is this possible? Well believe me when I tell you this that anything is possible.

We start in a beautiful place where Pokemon's love to go and relax and have a great time. Some bathe in the sun or others will bath in the hot springs. This place is normally quiet and peaceful even when humans come by they leave them alone. Well that was until one day it wasn't quiet and peaceful.

A Charizard, an Umbreon, and a Samurott were relaxing with Charizard sunbathing, Umbreon curled up in a ball in the shades of the trees, and Samurott relaxing in the water. Kind of strange combination, but these three Pokemon have a strong friendship together. Anyways back to what I was saying earlier. There was a big explosion not too far from where the relaxing area was. After the explosion there were screams of pain and cries of help. The Trio Pokemon were curious what was going on, so instead of running away they ran/ flew toward the chaos.

When they got there the place was in shambles with ashes littering the ground. Trees had fallen over, almost burnt down into amber. But that was not what shocked them, what shocked them was the dead Pokemon's laying on the ground in a bloody mess and the four burning to the crisp human beings. They moan for the dead Pokemon's as they bury them in respect. They heard something move in the bushes and they got into a fighting stance before moving forward toward the supposed threat. When they pushed the half burnt bush back they were shocked and felt sad at the same time. There was a woman who could be no older than 20 who was burnt and bloody.

It was a wonder she was still alive, but they could tell from her eyes that it wouldn't be long. She clutched some huge clothing in her arms and slowly raised her head to look at them, before looking down at what she held in her arms. She looked back up at them as she slowly moved her lips" T-Take c-c-care of t-th-them pl-please." she begged. Charizard was the closest to the woman so she reached her arms out, as the woman handed the bundle of clothing. Umbreon let out a yelp of shock when he saw the huge wound in her stomach. The woman ignored or didn't hear the yelp as she smiled at them, before her eyes rolled to the back of her head and fell over onto the ground with a thud taking her last breath.

Charizard slowly peeled the fabrics back and to her and her friends' shock there were two little human beings or in their case they like to call them hatchlings. They both had tri-hair color, but one was bigger than the other. The biggest one had crimson red eyes and, while the smaller one had amethyst eyes.

The two hatchlings look at the Trio in wonder and they babbled a language that not even adult humans or Pokemon can understand. Charizard looked over at Samurott as if saying' What the heck am I supposed to do?' and Samurott gave a look that said' why are you asking me?'.

Charizard let out a frustrated growl " Come on you have to know something you used to be with humans before." she said in her poke-speech.

Samurott rolled his eyes" I may have been used to being with humans doesn't mean I know how to take care of human hatchlings." he soon got in a huge blown argument causing the two babies in Charizard's arms to cry in tears.

" All great now look at what you two did, you made them cry." Umbreon scolded them, as he took the two hatchlings from Charizard.

He placed the huge cloth that was holding the two babies on the ground. The two babies stop crying when the yelling stops and they both look at Umbreon. The bigger hatchling squealed in delight as he reached his tiny hands out to the Dark type Pokemon. Umbreon was shocked, he never met a hatchling that wasn't afraid of him. Pretty soon the smallest one was reaching his hands out too.

" Well, would you look at that? I think they like you, Umbreon." Charizard said, as she chuckled at the dark type Pokemon wagging his tail in happiness.

Since that day the Trio took care of the young hatchlings as days turned into months and months turned into years. They soon grew bigger and bigger, but for some reason the youngest hatchling didn't grow that much. He was the size of a three year old even though he's six. The Trio decided to name them. The older one they named him Yami since he was the first one to react happily around Dark or shadow types Pokemon. The youngest one they named Yugi since he is always playing games and some mischievous pranks. The pranks were harmless, nothing harmful to Pokemon's anyway.

The two hatchlings learned how to speak Pokemon language and it wasn't really hard to teach them since they somehow just picked it up as if they never heard human language before. They even walked around like they were Pokemon's themselves, but every once in a while they walked around like humans do, maybe it was just instinct.

Ever since they learned how to walk or crawl whatever you call it, they became a handful to the Trio. For example; Yami found a nest in Kakuna. Of course it wasn't his fault because he didn't know what they were, but like that saying goes' Every choice in life has consequences.' poor Yami got stung by Beedrill, but he survived after Umbreon found some herbs that helped heal him.

Amazing after that incident the Beedrill felt bad afterwards, because they pretty much over did it and stung Yami way too many times and he was just a hatchling. Yugi at one point in time ate a berry that was poisoned and they had to find a Pokemon that can heal. Other than that and a few other problems they weren't that much of a hassle.

They soon had to travel as the air became chilly and everything they needed was dying and they didn't know how to save food and keep the young ones warm. They soon moved to a warmer place that had plenty of food. They would stay at that place until it too became cold and they had to move once again.

They found a place that stayed warm a year round and they stayed there for a year. The reason they did move was that trainers and other people spotted them and they had seen them before. So they grabbed the hatchlings as fast as they could and moved to a different place. They found a temporary stay, but it soon became permanent for the hatchlings.

People with weird clothing with a big red letter R on the front of their shirt attack the forest they were staying in. Charizard hid the hatchling and she had to tell Yami to stay with his brother and not leave the hiding until one of them returns. Well, neither one of them returned and Yami was hesitant to leave the hiding place. When he did the area was a disaster, pile of ashes laid on the ground were young saplings where once growing and bushes.

Yami hollered for his kin, but they never came. Yugi started crying when they never showed up and Yami hugged him in comfort. They decided to look for their kin, but never could and they wondered if they would ever see them ever again. So since then Yami took care of Yugi to the best ability.

Some of the Pokemon's that were around helped them when they realized they were not a threat. Some of the Pokemon's were smart enough to find some plants so the two hatchlings can have something to cover their private area. They tie the vines and leaves until they look like a pair of leaves shorts. Yami thanked them and the creatures were shocked when he spoke in their language. When it gets cold Yami will find a hollow tree or cave and he and Yugi will snuggle up with each other to stay warm. A few Pokemon's will follow them and cuddle up with them as well to keep them warm.

This my friends is where our story begins.

Two Years Later:

OK so we all know about Ash Ketchum, right? Well for those of you who don't I'll make a short recap so you know him a little better. Ash Ketchum is a ten year old boy whose dream is to become a Pokemon master. Ash's journey had a little rocky start including his starter Pokemon Pikachu. Pikachu gave Ash a hard time as he didn't fully trust the boy right away, until Ash tried to save him from a flock of Spearow. Funny thing is that is how he met Misty who is a Water Type Gym leader in Cerulean City. Ash borrowed her bike to get away from the flocks and when Pikachu saved him Misty bikes got burned to the crisp.

Since then Misty followed Ash in his journey claiming he owes her a bike and that's the only reason. Ash at first didn't get along with Misty, but over time they became best friends. Misty had a crush on Ash, but it slowly diminished when she realized that she only saw him as a brother more than anything else.

Along Ash's journey to become the best Pokemon master he met Brock who used to be a Rock Gym leader, called the Pewter City Gym. That was Ash's first battle with a gym leader and Ash didn't win the first time around though. Brock started traveling with Ash when his father returned and took the role of being the gym leader. Brock started his dream to become the best Pokemon Breeder.

So Ash, Misty, Brock, and Pikachu journey with one another Misty still traveling with until she figures out if she still wants to be a Pokemon Gym Leader or not.

Okay I think that about sums it up. So our heroes are what we'll call our little friend group since they help Pokemon and stop Team Rocket from stealing trainer's Pokemon or taking them profit and stuff like that.

As I was saying our Heroes are now traveling, they had just left the city called Aspertia City. They are now heading to a city called Lacunosa City, an ancient town with old traditions. They had an Legend that a legendary dragon called Kyurem had once terrorized the town. So a wall was built around it to keep the monster out. Even though it was proven untrue they still keep the wall up as people keep the old story so that it will never die.

Brock was looking at his map looking up and down to the map to the open area that they now stand in. It was some type of meadow with tall grass and flowers growing. A pond laid in the middle of it. Brock groaned when he didn't see a pond on the map or the open area for that matter.

" Oh no, I know that sound was lost aren't we?" Misty complained.

Brock scratched the back of his head" Well, we're not technically lost if we were following the map and it changes here, but not different anywhere else I say that this map is really old and hasn't been changed in a long time." Brock said

Ash was looking around the place, before looking at Brock and said" Brock not to sound like a smarty pants or anything, but doesn't that sort of mean we are lost if the map hasn't been changed according to our surroundings." Pikachu hopped on his trainer's shoulder smiling knowing the rock type trainer/ breeder was wrong.

Brock sigh" Yes, we're lost." he stated in a dead pen voice.

Misty started to panic'' But we can't stay out here there could be bugs anywhere and I really don't want one crawling on me right now!" she yelled, as she frantically looked down at her feet to see if there were any bugs there.

Ash let out a huff" Misty how many times I have to tell you that you don't have to be afraid of bugs. They won't hurt you if you don't threaten them, actually some of them are harmless." he said in his best stern voice.

Misty twirled around and gave Ash a glare" It's not about if they are harmless or not Ash! It's about them being slimy, dirty, and very very gross looking." she complained.

" Misty! Careful what you say! Pokemon or not they have feelings too you know!" Ash scolded.

Misty just groaned as she tried to calm herself down, but every few seconds she would look down at her feet. She would yelp every-time a fuzzy type of grass would brush her legs because of the wind.

Ash rolled his eyes as he looked over at the pond and he rubbed his eyes just to make sure he wasn't hallucinating. Once he confirmed that he wasn't seeing things he looked over at his friends" Hey, maybe they can help us." he suggested, as he pointed at three people at the pond.

Brock looked to see where Ash was looking and nodded his head in agreement" Yeah, good eye catching there Ash." he complimented his friend.

A blur of orange ran past the two boy's and they saw that it was Misty running toward the pond. They chuckled as they started running to catch up to their female friend.

As soon the two boys arrived a blonde head boy was trying to get his Growlithe off of their friend Misty. " Fido, no down boy you can give pretty gals kisses on another day." the blonde boy said.

A brunette girl stepped into view" I told you to hold him tight, but did you listen no." she said, dragging at the word 'no'.

A brown-haired boy helped the blonde boy to get his Pokemon off of Misty" You know, you need to train your Pokemon manners or you'll never make it in as a Fire Type Gym leader." he said to the blonde.

It was at this moment Brock spoke" Honda?" he asked slowly.

Said boy looked over in shock as he stared at the teen" Brock?" he said.

The two boys ran at each other and gave each other a crushing bear hug. This left everyone stunned and speechless. It was Misty who found her voice first" Uh, Brock care to explain who this is?" she asked.

Brock and Honda broke out of the hug, as Brock answered his friend" Ah, yes, sorry um guys this is Honda he and I used to go to school together when we were kids. He too is also wanting to become a Pokemon Breeder as well." he introduced. He then turns to Honda" Honda these are my friends that I'm traveling with Misty she is deciding if she wants to be a Water Type Gym Leader or not and Ash is trying to be the best Pokemon Master." he said.

Honda bow to Misty and Ash startling them" It's nice to meet you. These are my friends that I'm traveling with, Jounouchi who is trying to be the best Fire Type Gym Leader and Anzu who wants to be the best Pokemon Dancer in the world." Honda introduces.

Ash tilted his head" Wait, how can she become the best Pokemon Dancer if she's not a Pokemon?" he asked in confusion, while Pikachu made a confused face as well.

Misty slammed her hand against her forehead" Ash a Pokemon Dancer is not a Pokemon it's a trainer who dances with his/her Pokemon." she explained.

Ash made an' Oh' sound in understanding, causing Honda and his friends to laugh and giggle at him.

Honda looked at Brock" So what brings you all the way out here?" he asked his old time friend.

Brock scratched his head and let out a nervous laugh" Well, about that let's just say we were heading to this city called um Lacunosa City and when I looked at my map." he started to explain.

Honda smirked" Let me guess you didn't get yourself a new map when you were in Aspertia City did you?" he said.

When Brock gave a dejected look Honda knew he was correct" Just follow us where we were going to the same place so we were just resting when you guys came along." he told them as they headed off.

Along their journey Brock asked Honda how he met Anzu and Jounouchi. The brown-haired boy chuckled as he spoke" Well technically they saved me. I was trying to get this Dugtrio, but it led me into a huge sinkhole that a whole nest of them built. It's a good thing Anzu released her Sylveon or else I would've fallen to my death.".

Ash decided to talk to Anzu" So Anzu why do you want to become a Pokemon Dancer?" he asked with excitement. Pikachu imitated Ash's energy as well as he curled his paws into a tiny fist.

" Well it's always been my lifelong dream ever since I was a kid." she answered happily.

" Don't I know it, she wouldn't stop talking about it non-stop, she would talk 24/7 about how she and her Pokemon would be famous." Jou replied.

" How did you two meet each other?" Ash asked them.

" Oh, we knew each other since we were kids, We were neighbors so it was hard not to know him." Anzu explained.

Jounouchi started to whine" Hey! Don't say it like that. You're making me sound bad." as he made a sad puppy dog face, while Growlithe or Fido copied his owner as well.

Anzu and Ash laughed at the scene before them. Even Pikachu was laughing so hard that he almost fell off of Ash's shoulder, but regained his balance in time.

Pikachu soon heard noises in some bushes that they went by, his ears perked up at the noise. Ash looked at his partner" What, is it Pikachu?" he asked.

Pikachu hopped off of Ash's shoulders and ran toward the bush where he heard the noise from" PIKACHU! COME BACK!" his owner yelled. He slowly crept up to the bush making sure nothing would jump out at him unexpectedly. He sniffed the bush and smelt something there and he/she was angry. He growled at the thing in the bush as sparks of electricity sparked off his body.

Ash soon caught up with his Pokemon as he stared at him wondering why he was growling at a bush." What's wrong, Pikachu?" He asked. He walked toward the bush" Ash be careful it could be a poisonous Pokemon or a rabid one at that." Honda warned. Ash nodded his head so Honda knew he heard him. When he walked closer he heard a deep growl causing him to stop in his tracks and his Pikachu to growl louder as he got into a fighting stance.

" Ash, maybe we should leave it alone. Your Pikachu is not happy with whatever type of Pokemon it is." Misty said worriedly.

Ash ignored Misty's pleas as he crouched down in front of the bush" Hey little fella it's ok you can come out I won't hurt you and neither will my friends." he said softly hoping whatever Pokemon will come out of hiding.

The creature or whatever the thing continued to growl viciously." Ash come on we don't want the Pokemon to hurt you and Pikachu. We can catch Pokemon another day." Brock said, trying to get Ash away from the bush, before anything bad happens.

" Hey, I would listen to your friend pal usually when an Pokemon growls like that they're not a happy camper." Jou stated.

Ash turned around to look at them" But what if it's hurt. I don't want to leave it out here so it'll die of starvation or some other Pokemon to come eat it." he said sadly.

" Listen Ash we can't save all Pokemon from danger dying is a natural circle of life including Pokemon." Anzu explained.

" But I don't want to die if I can save it." Ash shouted. And with that Ash crawled on his hands and knees and crawled closer to the bush. " Ash no!" Everyone yells.

The yelling caused the thing to lash out and scratch Ash on the arm causing the boy to yelp in pain. This causes Pikachu to thunder shock the thing in the bush while the thing screeches in pain. What surprised everyone, even Pikachu, was that the screech didn't sound like a Pokemon screeching, it was the sound of a person screeching in pain.

Everyone ran up to Ash to help him stand up and by the time they checked the bush no one was there anymore.

They saw that it was getting dark and Brock noticed that the scratch wasn't too deep so he just poured alcohol on it and put a band-aid over it. They then decided to camp for the night and continue to walk to the city tomorrow.

Meanwhile on the other side of the woods:

Yami clutches his arm where he was shocked by the Pikachu from earlier. It wasn't too bad, but his arm felt funny and he didn't like it one bit. Just how he didn't like those humans that look like him and his brother walking near the forest. He didn't trust them, it was humans after all that took his and his brother kin away from them.

He was also sad that the Pikachu growled at him, because he hadn't had any Pokemon growling at him in a while. Same thing with the shocking fact he only was attacked by Beedrill, but they apologize that Pikachu didn't. He soon made it to the barrow where he, his brother, and a few other Pokemon's stay together. Yugi was wrestling with one of the Gabite, the friendly type of wrestler.

Yami watched the wrestling match for a few more minutes before picking up Yugi who managed to get on top of Gabite. " Okay, it's time for bed." he told Yugi. The younger lad whine" Aww do I have to?" he asked. Yami nodded his head as he placed his younger brother on a pile of soft leaves that were made for a bed. He then curls next to his brother wrapping his arm around him as if to protect him from danger. They soon fell asleep with the other ground type Pokemon that lived there too.

Somewhere around the woods:

" Jessie, are you sure we are going the right way?" a blue-haired man asked the woman with pink bubblegum hair color.

" Yes James we are according to this device we are going the right way." Jessie replied coldly.

" Jeez, it was only a question. I was just wondering when we are going to stop and rest." James said.

" James we are Team Rocket we don't have time to rest if we don't catch some rare Pokemon or boss will fire us or maybe something worse." Jessie growled out.

" If only the other part of Team Rocket would take a chill pill every once in a while then we don't have to work our butts off." a Meowth said in human speech.

" Wobbuffet!" a Wobbuffet shouted in agreement.

Jessie growled as a dark aurora surrounded her body" If I hear one more complaint from any of you three I'll pulverize you to the ground and tell boss that you all die in a quicksand." she said darkly causing the three to clamp their mouths shut.

What's going on here? Well, let's find out on our next adventure in Pokemon: The Lost Brother's!

Hey everybody here is a new story I'm working on and I just wrote this because it was in my head and wouldn't leave. So without further ado let's do the disclaimer and I'll start it off.
