Chapter 4

Training and Revelations

Naruto walks out on to the families training ground with Mito at his side. Naruto has a giant smile on his face while looking around the training yard. Mito looks at Naruto with a small smile on her face. (My grandson, I hope you are ready for this. I really want to give you more time to heal and get that poison out of your system, but we really need to start your training your already a year behind. And with the Kiyuubi's chakra add to your own, your control will be hard to achieve.) Mito thinks. "All right Naruto. Today we are going to get you acquainted with your natural chakra. And begin Chakra Control Exercises. So that when that poison is out of your system in three months. You will have better control over all, so that the Kiyuubi's chakra does not screw over your control. And allow you to know when it is trying to force you to use it's chakra." Naruto looks at Mito's face in puzzlement. "If I am it's cage, why would the Kiyuubi want to help me by giving me it's chakra?" Mito gets a very serious look on her face and answers, "It is not helping you by giving you it's chakra. It is trying to make you dependent on it's chakra. So you will draw on it's power and weaken the seal placed by your father."

Naruto tilts his head to the right and blinks his eyes at Mito. And brings his index finger over his lips, tapping them with that finger while gripping his chin with his remaining fingers. "But Baa'chan, Why would the Kiyuubi want to break the seal? I don't feel any hostility from inside." Mito looks at Naruto and sighs. "Naruto, our family have been the container of the Kiyuubi for the last three generations. You, your mother, and I have been the Jinchuriki, of the Kiyuubi no Yoko since the founding of Konoha. I was the first one. The Kiyuubi attacked Konoha when I came here to marry Hashirama Senju to finalize the peace agreement, between Konoha and our village of Uzushio. Decades later, Kushina was chosen to become my replacement as I was nearing the end of my life. She was brought to Konoha, when she was six so that she could attend our Ninja Academy. So she could build bonds and make friends within village. I found out after the destruction of Uzu that she was my granddaughter. I was so F***ING enraged by the letter I received telling me about the attack. Had he told me before she was sent she would have been living with me instead of being under the care of the village. Three of the five of the ninja village's teamed up and attacked our village. It took them four days to get through the barrier's and kill our ninja's. I didn't know about this till after the attack, it seems the Messager was killed in the village but their killer was never found. But the message scroll he carried was still in his coat pocket. We sent a division to Uzushio to help, but they arrived on the fifth day. The division we sent found the bodies of the ninja's that attacked as well as our dead allies. If I had been there I could have undone the preservation seal on the village. But the council has kept me, and later Kushina from going to Uzu. Hopefully you will be able to go and free our kin's men from the protection of the seal. Time flow's much slower inside it. Your aunt if she is still alive, she will be about twenty-five years old. When she should be in her late Thirties. "

Mito sighs and wipes a tear from the corner of her right eye. " If I had known about what was happening I would have gone to Uzushio with the Anbu. But I only received the report. I believe this was done by Danzo, but we couldn't find the evidence to prove it. And the council wouldn't allow us to use a truth seal to find out." Naruto narrows his eyes and asks, "Why was the council able to interfere? Shouldn't the Hokages authority out rank them?" Mito sighs again. "Hashi kun and Tobirama were dead, and Little Saru was still trying to get used to be Hokage. And unfortunately, he trusts Danzo, but suspects him at the same time. But see's him as a valuable asset to the village especially at that time. And as time went on everything just became more convoluted. Once you are strong enough to take care of yourself, or your parents are back. We will see what that old dirtbag is hidding" Naruto shrugs and smiles at her. "Ok Baa'chan, so what are we doing?" Mito looks at Naruto and shrugs back. "We are going to start you on Uzumaki Chakra Control Exercises. Because all Uzumaki have much higher chakra levels than normal Shinobi. We hade to create a way for us to train in order to gain the control of everyone else. Or we would just burn through all our chakra trying to do jutsu's that a normal Genin can perform with no sweat."

She walks up to a tree and pulls out ten kunai, and then smiles at Naruto with a slightly evil grin, "You are already a year behind in the traditional training method. So I will be starting you off at the second level of the exercises. You will need to channel chakra into your feet and walk up this tree, while also channeling chakra into your fingers to hold kunai just above the tips of your fingers. Like this" Mito then has all ten kunai floating above the tips of her fingers. A single kunai above each, then turns her back to Naruto and starts walking up the tree with no effort. Naruto's eyes go wide with sparkling star's in them. "THAT'S SO COOL BAA'CHAN! HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE ME TO DO THAT?!" He yell's while bouncing up and down. she reaches a high branch and walks across its bottom, and looks at him smiling. "It all depends on your determination and learning ability. If your like your dad you will pick this up in no time, but if your like your mom it will take at least a few days. Your dad had an instinct to learning everything he tried, but your mother was a trail and error learner. But both of them created insane disasters while learning the ninja arts. Explosion's, starting fire's, collapsing buildings and roads! It was hilarious watching Little Saru deal with the chaos those two caused, from their experiment's and pranks. Even now twenty years later it is still worth a good laugh!" Mito drops the kunai and hold her stomach laughing. Naruto tilts his head and gives her a puzzled look. "Sorry, sorry, it's just thoughts were just of my happier days after Hashi'kun and Tobi'kun's deaths. I was pretty much alone after that, and the council did everything they could to keep me away from Kushina. But Little Kushi'chan was a traditional Uzumaki and when we make up our minds to do something not even death can stop us." She dops to the ground while doing a back flip to land on her feet.

"Ok Little Naru'kun, it is time to start your training. You'll walk up this tree as I did, but you first start with only a single kunai. in your hand to mark your progress. Once you reach the top, we will have you start balancing kunai on your finger tips. As you improve your control we will increase the size and weight of the items you must balance on your fingers. This is going to be long and hard, But once you have been able to balance five kunai while climbing I will start to teach you some of our clans more fundamental support jutsu's. These will be important not only at the beginning of your career as a ninja, but all through it. Not only as support for your allies, but as reinforcement and enhancement of yourself and your jutsu's." Naruto's eyes get even brighter and yell's, "Let's gooo!"

Two hours later.

Mito is looking around her as Naruto continues to try to do the Tree Climbing Exercise [TCE]. The plants all around them are glowing a vibrant green while releasing a very small pulse of Hashirama's chakra mix with something else. Mito is trying to identify what this other energy is when she hears a loud shout above her, as the energy gets stronger and all the plant life in Konoha glows and buds to life even though it's the middle of fall. Mito looks up to see Naruto jumping up and down on the highest branch of the tree he was practicing on. "YAAAT HAAAAAAAAAA! I DID IT!!" Mito's smile turns into a full on Sun raise. And realizes that the energy she was feeling was Naruto's.{How is this possible. I thought Mokuton died with Hashi'kun.} "Well done Naruto. Now start again, but this time start to try balancing a single kunai on each of your index fingers with nothing but your chakra." Naruto run's down the tree, and run's up to Mito and smiles. "Baa'chan I did it." Mito rubs the top of his head and gives him a slight happy smile. "I know Naru'kun, but we are not done with your [CCE] Chakra Control Exercise yet. We have only reached the half way point of this exercise. Now let's continue." Naruto smiles and nods, "Okay Baa'chan." Naruto runs back to the tree while pulling out two kunai. He start's to channel chakra to his palm's to lift the kunai to his finger tips. The kunai float a half inch above his index finger's. When all of a sudden, a surge of chakra comes from him, and the kunai go flying and sink into it all the way to just leaving the edge of the pummel ring just barley sticking out of the tree. Mito's eyes open wide in shock. Naruto frowns and growls a little.

"How am I supposed to get those out of the tree." Another pulse of chakra comes from Naruto as the tree ripples as the kunai are pushed out of the tree and they fall to the ground. Naruto's eyes go so wide he thought his eyes would pop out of his head. "What the hell was that." Mito walks up to Naruto and hugs him tightly. "Naru'kun, that is Mokuton. The bloodline of my husband Hashirama Senju. Your Great Grandfather." Mito crouches down next to Naruto while crying. She then picks him up and hugs him tightly her face buried into Naruto's right shoulder. Naruto looks at Mito worried and hugs back while rubbing her back. "Baa'chan are you okay? Did I do something wrong? I'm SORRY..." Mito sniffles and laughs a little and looks at Naruto. "You have done nothing wrong my Little Naru'kun. It's just that seeing the tree respond to your will. [Sniffle] Reminded me of my husband, and the first time we meet. I was worn out from fighting many Kumo shinobi who were trying to kidnap me in order to gain the Uzumaki Bloodlines for their village. Hashi'kun was enraged at some of the things those bastards were saying to and about me. He came into the fight riding a tree, running the enemy shinobi through with tree spikes and kunai. He then charged the leader of the assault force with his sword. I was to tired to stand, and I watched as they fought. Their swords sparking like lightning, jutsu's flying at each other. Then the Kumo Nin succeeded in disarming Hash'kun and used a earth jutsu to ram Hashi kun's sword into a tree all the way to it's base. He then looked at me and said. (This Uzumaki had better be worth it. Oh well, when I'm done with you I'll make sure to turn her into mine and my village's brood mare! GAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!) Hashi'kun glared daggers at the Kumo Nin then all around us everything began to glow green and the tree with Hashi'kun's sword began to ripple like the tree with your kunai did. Then his sword came flying out of the tree into his hand and the Kumo Nin was restrained by branches and roots of the surrounding foliage. He the took the Kumo Nin's head off with a single swing of his sword. He was breathing heavily, and bleeding from a few wounds. He then turned towards me and asked. Are you ok? And then he picked me up in a princess carry. And took me to where I was to meet the Konoha convoy."

Mito squeeze's Naruto tighter and smiles at him. "I was only crying because when your chakra invoked that reaction from the tree's and your kunai where pushed out it remined me of that meeting. And it reminded me of how much I love Hashirama and of how much I miss him." Naruto looks at with a sad smile and wipes her cheeks. "It's okay Baa'chan I'm here to help anyway I can." Mito smiles and starts to toss Naruto up into the air and catch him. He starts to laugh really hard and yell to go higher. Mito catches him and hugs him tight. "Thanks Naru'kun. One day you will surpass all the Hokages, even your Father. I just hope that I get to see it." Naruto gives her a thumbs up with a blindingly bright smile. "Don't worry. I promise I'll make sure you see me do the impossible Baa'chan. Datei'bayo!"

Mito puts Naruto on the ground and hears a faint female voice, "My grandchildren, I am sorry for the pain I've caused you because of that cursed Uchiha. I need to tell you everything. My youngest descendent has inherited more than just Mokuton. Mito it is time we finally talked. Come into the seal." Mito looks at Naruto in shock and Naruto looks around a little scared. "Where did that voice come from Baa'chan?" He asks while clutching Mito's hand. They feel a pulse of energy from Naruto's stomach and look down to see crimson energy pulsing from the seal. It then fades but the seal remains in full view even without the chakra flowing through it. Mito swallow's and takes Naruto to a garden there are steam's, path's, and gazebos spread out in a tranquil area. She leads Naruto to an area that has a steam flowing in to a small pond, surrounded by benches and plants. Mito takes them to one of the benches and sits down with Naruto on her lap. "Alright my Little Naru'kun. I need you to calm down and clear your mind. Then try to find the energy locked within yourself. I will place my hand on your seal, and monitor what is happening while we ho inside your mind. If things start to go out of control, I will channel my chakra into your seal to strengthen it and cut the connection." Naruto looks up a little scared, but nods and a look of determination comes on his face. "OKAY Baa'chan. Let's do this."

They begin to concentrate and when they open their eyes they are in a sewer. Mito looks around and growls. "Damn $$#ole's! When I can finally go out in to the village I am going to show these damn villager's exactly what they've been messing with!" Naruto looks at Mito puzzled. "Baa'chan where are we I thought we were going into my mind? Why are we in a sewer?" Mito sighs and rubs the top of Naruto's head. "Because of all the pain and darkness, you have been through. Because of the morons of this village your mind scape looks like this. No child's mind should look like this. Hashi'kun and Tobi'kun set up this village to prevent this kind of thing from happening." They begin to walk down the tunnel following the red and blue pipes to their source. They find a cage with a woman wearing a violet kimono with gold and silver accents. Her eyes are red and puffy, like she has been crying a long time. She has long crimson red hair going down her back with three braids over top it. Her eyes are crimson with vertically slit pupils, and nine tails flowing behind her back. "My Grandchildren, My name is Kumara Uzumaki, the youngest child of the Rukudo Sennen and his wife 'The Shikigami' Kuro Uzushinai. Sister to the progenerator's of the Senju and Uchiha clans. Wife to Logan 'The Wolverine' And am also the Kiyuubi no Yoko. My husband and I are the progenerator's of the Uzumaki Clan. The clan gets it's strong chakra from me, it gets it's strong life force from my husband. And we are both the source of our clan's volatile tempers.

Mito looks at the Kiyuubi in utter shock and rage. "YOU HAVE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME! THERE IS NO WAY THAT THE DAMN KIYUUBI IS OUR ANCESTOR, AND ORIGINALLY HUMAN! NOT WITH ALL THE DESTRUCTION AND DEATH YOU HAVE ROUGHT AGAINST OUR CLAN AND OUR ALLIAS!" Kumara looks at Mito with utter sadness in her expression and lowers her head and ears. Her nine tails slump onto the floor. "I can understand your anger and hatred Granddaughter, but will you give me a chance to explain and show you all that has happened to bring about why I have done all I have." Mito begin's to open her mouth. but is stopped by Naruto who is looking the Kiyuubi right in the face. "Baa'chan let her speak. The sadness and regret coming off of her is so huge." Naruto has ANIME TEAR'S flowing down his cheeks. "So much sadness, pain, regret, and hatred. How can you still be sain?" The Kiyuubi looks at Naruto in shock crying even harder. "H H H How can..." Naruto looks at her and gives her a sad smile. "I've felt like that often enough to recognize when someone else is in pain." Mito picks Naruto up and rubs circles on his back. "My poor little chick. AL Alright I will give it a chance to explain and convince me it is tell the truth. BUT SO HELP ME GOD, IF SHE IS LYING I WILL TAKE US OUT OF HERE. AND REINFORCE YOUR SEAL SO IT IS MORE LIKE MINE WAS!"

{Sorry for the cliffhanger, but I had to do it for the pacing and flow of the story. I hate these more than anything, but now I see why they are done. }
