Salem Massachusetts, 1692
Four people walked into a jailhouse. Two had hoods and gloves on. They walked up to a door and the man in front took out keys and unlocked the door. He opened the door for the three people. The woman in the cell turned around. Three of the people walked into the cell. The guard closed the door behind them. One of the men waved his hand and the window in the jail cell was covered. He made a candle appear. The woman looked at the three people in front of her as the two people brought down their hoods. "Matthew" she said in shock. "Hello Melinda. I'd like you to meet my friends this is Angelus and Darla" Matthew said acknowledging the two vampires. "Pleasure to meet you" Darla said a sinister smile on her face. Angelus nodded. "She looks tasty" he said. Darla laughed. "Not now darling. We still need something from her first" she said. "Why? Why did you betray me" Melinda asked Matthew ignoring the two vampires.
"You got what you deserved" Matthew said. "So you never loved me. All the passion. All the heat " Melinda said. "I had to make you trust me. It was the only way to share your powers" Matthew said. Melinda looked at him with realization on her face. "So now you have them. Then why would you turn me in? You know I'll burn" Melinda said. Matthew laughed and looked at Angelus and Darla who also laughed. "I had to keep my secret" Matthew said. "Well you can keep your trinkets too" she said ripping off the necklace around her neck and throwing it to Matthew who caught it. She turned to Angelus and Darla. "What are you two going to kill me" she asked. Angelus laughed. "No we're not here for you" he said. "There's someone very precious to you that we want to know the location to" Darla said. Melinda shook her head. "I'll never tell you where she is" she said. Angelus smiled at her evilly. "We have our ways to get you to talk" he said.
Matthew opened the locket and took out a pink piece of paper and it catches on fire. He dropped it. "What magic is this" Matthew asked shocked. "Now" Melinda yelled. Angelus and Darla pinned Matthew to the ground. "What are you guys doing? We had a deal" he said. Angelus shrugged his shoulders. "Yea well the little lady over here made us a better deal" he said. "A deal to help us trap you forever" Darla said. "Why" Matthew asked. Angelus lifted his head up by his hair. "You see your just too much of a threat to us and we'd rather get rid of you than have to deal with you later" he said. "Sorry we couldn't make our little business arrangement work" Darla said. "You'll pay for this" Matthew said. Angelus shook his head. "I don't think so. Your about to be trapped for all eternity while we get to walk around free" Angelus said. Darla looked at Melinda. "Melinda be a dear and take care of him" she said. "I'm taking back the powers you stole from me" Melinda said.

Wind blew around the cell. Angelus let go of Matthew. "Noooooo" Matthew yelled as he was sucked into the locket. The three of them all smiled. The locket shut. "Your sure that will keep him trapped" Angelus asked. Melinda nodded. "Only one of my descendants will be able to open the locket" she said. Angelus and Darla looked at each other. "That was some good work" Darla said. "I held up my end of the bargain. Now your turn. Get me out of here like you promised" Melinda said. Angelus and Darla looked at each other. "We have a new deal for you. One I think your going to want to take" Angelus said. "What? A new deal" Melinda said confused. Darla shook her head. "Tell us where your daughter is and we'll get you out of here" she said. Melinda stared at them in shock. "Why" she asked. "We just want to talk to her" Angelus said. Melinda knew their reputation of being the most dangerous and deadly vampires in the world. There was no way she was letting them anywhere near her daughter.
Melinda shook her head. "Go to hell" she said. Angelus and Darla looked at each other. "You realize by making this decision you are sentencing yourself to death" Darla said. Melinda nodded. "It's better than the two of you getting your fangs into her" she said. "We're going to find her and your going to burn at the stake" Angelus said. Melinda laughed. "I may burn but the Warren bloodline will live on" she said. "We'll see about that" Darla said opening the door and leaving. Angelus followed after her. Melinda smiled to herself. They would never find her daughter no matter what they did or how hard they looked. Her bloodline will live on and become stronger than ever. She was sure of it.
