It was spring break, and a spritely, young 12 almost 13-year-old girl named Sydney was on holiday with her family, the campgrounds her parents and her were staying at consisted of a quaint little log cabin by a lake, a long fishing dock could be seen overlooking the lake while a fairly medium-sized boat lay nearby tied and tethered to the dock only by a single brown old rope.

"Sorry, dear" her mother replied, turning to her once she put the car in park. "I know that some of your friends are taking more extravagant trips on their vacation but for now, this is the best we can do until our jobs take off"

"I understand mom" she replied, the girl's dark brown hair covering about half of her face as she hung her head low. the girl's face sat stone cold as she got out of the car; walking up to the cabin she smiled slightly, maybe this place won't be so bad she thought, at least it's nice and peaceful here she walked inside, lifting a blue suitcase up and onto a green blanket on top of the bed's mattress, this was a kind of cabin that like all log cabins had bunk beds.

After she unpacked and everything she felt up for a little exploring, she made sure to tell her mom and dad before she exited the cabin. Standing on the little deck outside the cabin's entrance she took a minute to breathe in slowly the crisp, cool air that surrounded her, it was now dusk by the time that they had reached the cabin, the perfect time Sydney thought to go exploring.

Stepping on the single stoop onto the dark path beneath her feet, the small rock and pebbles crunching under her feet as she went from dragging her feet to walking briskly to running until she slowed to almost a stating motion, she screeched to a stop when the rock and pebbles looked like that they were slowly combining with the green grass and mosses of the forest.

As she slowly started to walk deeper and deeper into the forest she could help but marvel at just how peaceful and serene everything was... greenery was everywhere on the tree, and when she inhaled through her nose it smelled all around her as if it had just rained, a babbling brook almost resembling that of a small river could be heard on to far away, it was revealed that upon closer inspection of the river that there was actually a little waterfall that led into the river along with a few small stones that almost acted like steppingstones for some small animal.

Deeper and deeper into the forest she went until she came to what appeared to be a grey stone tile round platform with hat appeared to be some type of weird purple symbols etched around the base, the girl counted exactly 5- five weird, upon looking up she noticed some small, rectangular stone steps leading up to something that was all covered in moss and vines.

Climbing up the stone steps eagerly, she ripped away at the vines revealing a somewhat round octagon-shaped portal- how sad she thought for this portal looked long and having been almost forgotten for many, many, many long years.

A sense of anger and feeling of bitterness and hatred at the world for what they've done, she decided to take it upon herself to fix up the old, broken, and neglected teleporter. Using whatever she could find in the wood as a sort of a substitute for any spare part that you'd find in either a junkyard or some sort of a repair shop she was able to fix the portal, Standing back, admiring her finished product, smiling widely- feeling a new sense of pride and accomplishment. She was so filled with pride at was she accomplished that she didn't realize how far she had gone backwards until she crashed into it with a thud. As she sat on her butt starring up in both shock and bewilderment she noticed two things. 1. that the portal was titled The Ultimate Teleporter of Dreams and Imagination, and 2. that there was a big, gilded gold leaver on the side, and three locations were listed, they were: Ponyville, Enchancia, and Hogwarts.

Taking a few deep breaths, she set the leaver for Enchancia- for no particular reason, she had no real desire to go there for in her mind all she wanted to know was if the portal would work or not, and anyway she figure that that setting was kind of like an automatic sort of a default setting- a perfect way of testing the portal.

Once she turned it on, however, a swirling mixer of green and purple could be seen swirling from inside the massive octagon, walking up the stone steps once again- this time more slowly. She managed to calm herself by taking a few deep breathes before leaping straight into it.

...

As she emerged from the other side of the portal, she found that her clothes had been transformed from her simple, everyday blue jean style sweats and a bottom-up long-sleeved flannel-type plaid shirt to what was now a... a dress. Yuck! Well... at least the dress she had on was a lovely mixture of light pink and grape purple. Looking up at the sky, she almost stumbled back in shock when she notice the quick change in the weather's temperature and the time of day. It had changed from the cold, cool, and crisp dusken air to a bright and sunny day, the clouds were big write puffballs and although it was a nice day; there were dips of what appeared to be dew or rain all around. Shielding her eyes from the sun's rays she notice that in the distance, beyond what looked like a rustic, old village; a walking trail leading to a big bridge could be seen, and beyond that, a magnificent castle stood.

It looked like a long and exhausting trek but Sydney wasn't fazed by it one bit. Still, she took a deep breath and huffed before she slowly trudged forward, walking straight towards the small village below, Entering the village she was amazed at what she saw around her- hundreds beyond thousand of homes and shops could be seen, every house and shop had a look of a little country cottage wooden-style that made her brain instantly think of Great Britan or Europe for whatever reason. Once she made her way up to the castle that lay beyond the quant little English-style looking village. She walked over the bridge and up towards the massive, yet magnificent looking castle. Taking a breath she plucked up the courage to knock on the big wooden door not once but three times, until suddenly the door creaked open and a tall, thin, well-dressed looking man answered.

"Hello, I am Baileywick, the castle steward, and who might you be?"

"Sydney..." she replied, looking solemnly down at the ground.

"Nice to meet you Sydney, I'll just inform the royal family of your sudden arrival" and with that, he closed the door in her face.

Meanwhile, inside the castle: all three of the royal children were playing a board game when the king heard a knock at the door.

"I'll get it" his youngest daughter, Sofia exclaimed. As she stood up and went to go open the door she could hear faint coughs.

"Hello?" She called out the door. When she opened it however all that stood before was a girl, and although she was dressed in a rather nice dress. Her hair was a brown raggedy mess that sat atop her head and her once black shoes were worn and scuffed.

"Hello, I'm Sofia" King Roland's daughter replied, holding a hand out to the girl.
