Welcome to my first Sesshomaru Fic. This will follow along the anime plot line for the most part. Skipping things here and there yada yada. Enjoy ;)
Chapter 1
"You- You've killed my child!" The demonic sorceress screamed clutching her now still son.
"He was possessed, he would have killed everyone, including yourself sorceress." The lady demon spoke. It wasn't what the demon wanted to do, but there was no choice.
"I don't believe you!" The sorceress wept, her tears turning to blood as she began to scowl at the demon before her.
A male demon jumped in front of his mate when he sensed a dark emotion turning in the sorceress.
"I curse you, yokai." She wailed pouting to the lady demon. A blacking aura began to wrap around her arm and was sent towards the demon and engulfed her. The male demon was also being held back by an invisible force. "You killed my child, therefore, any demon child born to you shall die in this world of men. Your child will never see, nor touch you with their hands, and will die once it is brought into the world. For you have taken what is mine, I shall take what is yours! Forever!" She screamed.
The male demon broke free and jumped and slashed the sorceress across her neck. But a small smile was on her lips as blood dribbled out of her mouth. The male whirled around and saw his mate on the ground.
"Mira," He ran towards her and lifted her onto his lap. She was still breathing but he could smell something off about her. He sniffed around her and found the source of his was coming from beneath her shirt. He slowly lifted it.
"Torazo," Mira breathed regaining consciousness and looking down to where his eyes were. Across her lower abdomen and swirling of black lines danced over her. A curse. The sorceress managed to enact her curse after all. "Torazo," She said again, tears now staining her cheeks.
"Hush, now Mira." He held his mate close to his chest. "We will figure something out." Tears were threatening to fall but he held strong. "Rest now my love."
"Five hundred years and I have finally found something!" A crazy looking old lady spoke to the couple before her and threw down a large book that was covered in dust. She opened the dust book, particles making the demon's nose tickle. "Pi, pi, pi, pi, Ah here it is." She said as she flipped through the pages. "I think this will work." She looked up to them.
"Think?" The male demon barked at her. "Mira and I have gone through this hardship time and time again!" He looked to his currently pregnant wife. Her eyes were downcast and depressed. After losing so many children and hoping that something could be done, the lady demon was losing all hope that she would be able to hold her baby in her arms while it still breathed air.
"I understand." The old lady said now looking at the demoness. "I shall tell you about this spell."
"Spell?" The demoness looked up, now more intrigued. In the past, they tried antidotes with different herbs and ingredients and even placed anti curses on her.
"Yes, this will be a spell upon the child itself." The demoness quickly wrapped her arms around her stomach and growled. "Let me explain first before you get all hormonal on me." The old lady rolled her eyes. "Your curse spoke of a demon child being born to you yes?"
The demon couple in front of her nodded.
"Then I think it is simple. We make the child human by hiding its yoki." The old lady smiled crookedly.
"If it is so simple then why haven't you tried it before?" The demon spoke, agitated with the croon.
"Here is where it gets tricky. I can turn the child human, but only for a time." She spoke, and slowly she saw the couple's eyes in front of her fall. "But," She continued. This was the best part. "What I can do is place a curse, or perhaps a prophecy if that would sit better with you, upon the child."
The couple looked at the old lady skeptically. "I think by doing so will negate the effects of your curse upon your child, should the right words be spoken."
"And what are the right words?" Mira said, hope beginning to glimmer in her eyes.
"That I cannot say. I can direct the intention of the prophecy but the end result is up in the air until I speak the words." She spoke slowly hoping the demons would understand.
"It is the best shot we have," Mira said, rubbing her stomach. Torazo nodded back to her.
"Sorceress " He got up and stood before her. "Turn the child human and place the prophecy. We give you our trust."
The old lady began to sweat. She knew the demons weren't happy with her because she had failed so many times in the past. But they always came back to her, knowing that she was their only hope. "Please lay down M'lady."
The demoness lay down upon a hard slab of rock. The old lady came to her side and her mate was on the other holding her hand.
"I shall now make the child within you human, locking away its yoki." The sorceress placed her hands upon the demoness' stomach and chanted, "Daemonium infans in iniustitiam detinent." A purple hue was emitted from her palms and sank down into the demoness' skin. After several minuted she stopped.
"Phew, that child had a large yoki. Took some time." She wiped her tired brow. "Now for part two, giving her a prophecy to counteract your curse. Remember I can direct the prophecy but I cannot guarantee the words I say." She looked to the lady demon.
Mira nodded again and waited for the sorceress to begin. This time the sorceress stepped back and began weaving her hands in the air.
"During the longest night, a young howling princess shall be born.
She will be beautiful as she will be compassionate.
Hidden in this world of men, the princess will live.
Though one cannot live a life without love.
When her present falls into the past in her 21st year, she must come face to face with destruction of life.
Once she opens her heart to it, a pureblood will roam the lands again."
The magic of the prophecy was woven in the air and the sorceress directed it into the abdomen of the demoness. For a moment there was silence and the old lady released a breath that she seemed to have been holding.
"I believe it has worked. Now we wait for the childbirth." She said to the demons.
"A girl." The demon spoke to his mate. "Her prophecy spoke of a princess."
"Yes," Mira sat up with the aid of her mate. "Our little girl." She rubbed her stomach affectionately. Though the ending of the prophecy was unsettling, she didn't mind so long as this child was born alive into the world.
