Geeky Love: a Loud House fiction.
Chapter 1: Confession
A/N: Though this does have them in middle school, Lori will still be at the Loud House because I feel like it wouldn't be complete without her. Let's just say its summer vacation. Also, to give you an idea of what Jessie looks like in her usual attire, she has curly reddish-brown hair, blue eyes and purple glasses. Sea blue blouse, white skirt, black leggings, and pink and black socks with red shoes. She also has a few freckles on both cheeks.
Jessica "Jessie" Melissa Keck was a 12-year-old girl on the Autism spectrum. She has tendencies to not be socially friendly, she has many obsessions known as hyper-fixations (like singing, karaoke, animals, video games, etc.) Jessie was the younger of her and her twin brother, Jeffery (who is milder on the spectrum than her), by 5 minutes, and as such Jeffery is very protective of her. Especially when it comes to boys. Yes, boys. Jessie was a late bloomer in the sense that not only in the sense did her body start maturing a little bit later than normal, she also experiences stages of her life earlier. She just started noticing boys. She is actually currently doodling in a notebook during her History class in school. Doodling a cute picture of her and her crush: Lincoln Loud. A boy her age (12, they are in sixth grade), with white hair, a chipped tooth, a willingness to help others, and some of her same interests like video games and the comic book series, Ace Savvy. The final bell of the schoolyear snapped her out of her trance. She quickly closed her notebook and proceeded to walk into the hallway to head home. She was waiting for Jeffery to get out of his class on the other side of school (he had gym), when she was approached by her friends. Even though her friend group consisted of her and only 3 others, she was perfectly fine with it. There was Mandy Castles, a streetwise Columbian-American who, ironically loved all things pink. The second of the quartet was J.D. Greene (J.D. stood for Juanita Delores), who is a tough but sweet Mexican girl who is only 4"10, so some people start jokingly calling her Jolly Dwarf Greene. Finally, the last friend is Kenshi Adamante, recently moved from the Kanto region of Japan. Sometimes has a hard time grasping American customs and slang, but he's pretty cool. But enough filler about reccurring characters, let's talk crushes!
"So...you gather up the courage to ask him yet?" J.D. asked Jessie, who turned bright red. J.D. found out about Jessie's crush on Lincoln after she snooped in her notes during a study session. She told the others and they have been encouraging to ask him out. "Uh...no. Not yet. I'm just scared he might not like me back. And how would I even tell him I like him?" Jessie frantically pondered. "Just do it. Get it over with, homes." Mandy told her bluntly. "Hai. Just like old saying, "You must strangle life's antlers and throw it out the window." Kenshi said amongst the group. They just looked at him bewildered before Jessie spoke up. "Oh. You must mean, 'grab life by the horns?' I don't know where you got the window the from." Jessie said. Kenshi nodded. "Ok. I'll do it. But I want you guys with me for support!" Jessie requested as her friends gave thumbs up in agreement. Jessie and her friends walked up to Lincoln as he just got done putting things away in his locker to go home. "H-hi. Lincoln." Jessie timidly greeted him. "Oh hey Jessie. What's up?" Lincoln asked in a friendly tone. Jessie's mind went blank with anxiety since she was talking to the boy she had the biggest crush on. So naturally, her brain made her say something stupid like this: "Um. Earth looks like a moldy blueberry!" Jessie blurted out. She covered her mouth in embarrassment. Luckily for her, Lincoln started to laugh. "Hahaha. Y'know, it really does now that I think about it." he stated. "Um, Lincoln. W-would you go on...a date...with...me?" Jessie stuttered. "Totally. You seem like a fun gal. Plus, my friends are busy this summer. Here's my number." Lincoln accepted her request as he gave her his cell number. Lincoln bid her farewell and told her to text him. "Way to go, Jessie!" Kenshi congratulated his friend. Jessie was dead silent...for a few second until she let out a big "EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!" to which the nearby history told her to stop squealing like a chipmunk.
(At The Loud House)
All of the Loud family members were at the dining room table eating that night's dinner of spaghetti when the mother, Rita, decided to make some conversation.
"So, kids, what do you all have planned for the summer?" she asked sincerely.
"The fashion boutique at the mall is having a special half-off summer sale and I am going there with my friends and Lori." Leni, the dim-witted but kind-hearted second oldest child stated as her older sister, Lori nodded in agreement.
"I hope you two have fun!" Rita complimented, "What about you, Lincoln? Any big plans?" his mother added. "I'm hanging out with a new friend. I don't much about her but we are hanging out tomorrow." Lincoln answered. Lincoln was then met with excited stares from his 10 sisters and his mother. He was confused but it all became clear...he accidentally let it slip that he was hanging out with a girl.
"You have a girlfriend?!"
"She sounds so cute!"
"Can I be the maid of honor?!"
"Can I be the wedding singer?!"
"I want to hold the babies first!"
A lot of the sisters started badgering him with question and statements about weddings and having kids even though he doesn't really know Jessie!
HONK! Lynn Sr., the patriarch of the family, used an air horn to get them to shut up.
"Lincoln, what exactly do you know about this girl?" his father asked.
"Not much. She is NOT my girlfriend," Lincoln said as he looked at the sisters with a glare. The girls looked away in embarrassment. "Her name is Jessie, she's my age, the only things I know about her is that she has a twin brother who is in my gym class, and she loves karaoke and music." Lincoln answered. "Sounds like my kind of gal!" Luna complimented. "Well, I at least want to hang out with her first before having her meet you." Lincoln pointed out. "Where are you two crazy kids hanging out at?" Rita asked her son. "We decided to meet for dinner at her favorite restaurant. A place called 'Carrie Oakley's Karaoke and Restaurant." Lincoln answered. "Ooh, I hear the have great food!" Lorii responded.
"Now girls, Lincoln wants to get to know this girl on his terms. So, I don't want ANY of you butting in on his date!" Rita firmly stated. "It's not a date!" Lincoln objected while the girls complained. "But, I made him a new outfit for dating emergencies!" Leni protested. "I know you girls want to help, but trust me to make this friendship work out. Also, if it makes you feel better Leni, I'll wear the outfit." Lincoln told the sisters as Leni squealed with glee.
The sisters agreed to back off, but secretly had a sneaky plan. Oh, yes they did.
