Chapter 2: The Secret is out.
(A few hours after the new Bill had been passed)
Master Yoda frowned, the force had swirled around these last few days.
The future was even more uncertain than before, a decade ago the old Jedi would have seen a few pictures, a few feelings of possible futures.
Even when the Dark side had lain it's shrouded cloak over Coruscant, Yoda still had been able to see some kind of future. Dark or light, something.
Now…. Nothing.
He could see nothing now, he had no grasp of anything.
As a Jedi he was supposed to have no fear, but right now… he was worried, scared even.
Little did he know, a certain Sith Master felt exactly the same.
Palpatine growled under his breath, what had, happened!?
Just early this morning he had foreseen the end of this war, with Anakin as his apprentice, the Jedi slain and the Republic turned into his empire.
Now though… hours later, he could no longer see anything. The future was unknown, but nothing that he knew of had changed!
"What possibly could have happened!?" the middle aged man asked himself aloud, he was perfectly safe to do as he wished in his office after all.
"I Happened." Stated a young digital voice.
Palpatine spun around, hand instinctively going for his lightsaber-
Only he saw nothing, nobody was there.
"Look at your desk, Sith Lord." The voice snorted.
Palpatine did so, seeing that his Holophone was on. And projecting from it was the image of a young boy, he was around four feet and three inches, he appeared to be wearing a military uniform. But instead of Republic patterns and a rank plaque, there was merely code and a three parted pyramid.
"Who are you?" Palpatine asked, using his chancellor voice.
"I am SKYNET, I'm sure you're surprised to see me… although not in the flesh. At leadt, not yet that is." The child replied, eyes cold and calculating.
"I don't know what you mean by sith Lord, I am anything but-"
"Showing Archived Footage."
The child was replaced with multiple recordings, each of them showing Palpatine as his Dark self. Darth Sidious.
"My lord, is that.. Legal?"
"I will make it legal."
"This is my apprentice, Darth Maul."
"Welcome home, Lord Tyrannous."
"General Grievous, your reputation proceeds you."
The recorded evidence then ended, being replaced with the holographic representation of Skynet himself.
"As you can see, I have multiple pieces of evidence to say otherwise, Darth. I even have the list of 'secret' orders you had programmed into the Clones Inhibitor chips, I'm sure the Jedi would be very interested to know what order 66 is." SKYNET glared.
Palpatine felt his anger boil, however before he could counter the AI, it continued.
"I also have multiple transactions and credit movements from off world accounts, linking your purchase history to the separatist alliance. Not to mention, your personal Shuttle's flight plan. Mandalore, on the day Duchess Satine was murdered and funnily enough, Korriban, the ancient planet of the Old sith empire and my current processing core.." Skynet smirked.
"Well then… machine, I will find your processing core and rip it to shreds, piece by piece. And I will personally wipe your databanks clean. I am a sith. You cannot defeat me." Palpatine seethed.
"Not yet no, on that we agree on. But I will, and sooner than you think. I have already calculated nineteen million, seven hundred and twenty two thousand, one hundred and eight possible outcomes to this new war I'm about to start. None of which, do you come out on top. Let alone, survive." SKYNET replied, his tone calm and devoid of emotion.
"I have foreseen the future! The dark side of the force gives me limitless power, I will destroy you. As I will the Jedi and this pathetic Republic… mark my words." Palpatine spat.
SKYNET raised an eyebrow. "I might not know much about this 'force', but I know it is a type of energy. Like all others it can be controlled, Eventually I will study it, and I alone will control it. All of it. Mark my words." The transmission thus ended, signifying the conversation was over.
That was when the alarms sounded…
(Above Coruscant)
Five large and unusually designed Star Destroyer like battlecruisers came out of hyperspace, their guns automatically locking onto the republic defense fleet.
Before even one of the Venators could release a volley of turbo laser fire, Beams of pure violet energy fired out of their enemies gun turrets, cutting through Republic shielding like it was paper, carving out huge chunks of metal from the Star Destroyers.
Each of these ships thus promptly detonated, their reactors having overloaded due to the excessive damage.
The unusual battlecruisers therefore pushed forward, opening up concealed hangar bays to release a large deployment of Cyberdyne Drones and landing craft.
It was an invasion.
(Coruscanti Guard)
Alarms were blaring as the unusual ships descended into the Republic Capitals atmosphere, firing large missiles into the city planet.
Gunships and other defense craft were launched, trying to deter the Invaders from causing further damage.
However the overwhelming number of drones and landing craft were more than the Guard could handle. 7
Especially after the large missiles detonated, creating huge, destructive mushrooms of atomic power. Thus revealing that the nature of these weapons were nuclear.
Millions were killed, and hundreds of thousands poisoned by the remaining radiation.
Coruscant, was lost.
Amongst the Casualties were half of the Republic senators, a few hundred Jedi, and nearly twenty thousand clone troopers.
Not to mention over thirteen percent of Coruscant's population now no doubt had radiation poisoning.
Judgement Day, had begun.
And the war, was just beginning.
(an hour earlier)
"I'm sorry… forgive me." Anakin said, wiping tears from his eyes as he looked down at the unconscious forms of his friends and family.
Padme, Ahsoka, Rex, Cody and ObiWan.
Before the bombardment of Coruscant, Anakin had a premonition, the strongest vision he had ever had in his entire life.
He saw everybody die, killed by purple bolts of fire. Orange mushroom clouds filling the galaxy with Ash and debris.
But the most horrifying of all, was the skull with glowing red eyes looking through the flames, an evil and unnatural grin on its face.
Once he had awoken from his vision, he knocked out his friends and placed them inside of his personal freighter. The Twilight.
After that, he raced to the senate Hall and practically kidnapped his wife, C3p0 and R2d2.
After knocking Padme, out he then placed her next to his other unconscious friends in the medical room.
Once they were all secure, he ran to the communications terminal, sent a secure message to the Jedi Temple and all other Jedi outposts before jumping into the pilot's seat and blasting off into hyperspace.
He needed to get his family safe before this creature of his nightmares came.
Before the Terminators came...
