I'm a what?

Harry was confused. You see ever since the end of third year when he learned his dad had been an Animagus, he'd been learning and studying how to be one. He's in his sixth year now and after almost three years of practicing and reading books on it he thought he could finally turn into and animal but then when he felt like he did when he looked in the mirror he saw nothing but what was behind him.

He was so confused. Where was his body? He looked like he was under his invisibility cloak but he knew he was there he could hear himself. He couldn't talk only purr and growl. He needed to research what animal he was because he couldn't do this. "HARRY! IT'S TIME FOR BREAKFAST!" He heard a loud voice say. That was Ron. He took one more look in the mirror and saw nothing. He turned back into a human, put on his glasses and went to common room.

He walked out of his dorm and saw Ron waiting impatiently for him and Hermione reading a book. "What have you been doing up there mate? Everytime me and the others leave you stay up there for an extra 10 minutes doing Merlin knows what. What's going on." Ron asked to him as soon as he saw him. "Let him tell us when he's ready Ronald. Which better be soon because I also wanna know" Hermione said not looking up from the book she was reading. Harry had been planning to tell them when he knew what he was but it seems as he hasn't figured you it that part out yet. "Yeah I'll tell you soon" He said as the trio all walked out to the Great Hall.

When they were at the table, Harry just put some toast, eggs and bacon on his plate while the other two put loads of food on their plate and starting eating quickly. "Do we have potions today?" He heard Ron suddenly ask. "Uhh let me check" He answered and took out his time table. Double potions at the end of the day. "Shit" He said and Hermione glared at him and was about to say something when Ron inturupted. "What is it do we?" He asked. "Double potions at the end of the day" He said rubbing his eyes and Ron groaned loudly.

"Come in class quickly! Today you'll be making Pepper-up Potion, the ingredients are on that table. You may begin." Snape said with his usually cold voice and the class scrambled to the table and took the ingredients they needed. Snape sat at his desk glaring at his students one specifically. Potter. The insufferable brat. He could see him making jokes with Weasley from here and they were at the back of the class. He debated on confronting them but refrained from it. When it was almost the end of the lesson he stood up and starting checking the classes progress.

Harry was having trouble with his potion. About now it was supposed to be a kind of love light orange colour. But now it was a sort of dark red. He looked at the ingredients at the board and cursed. It said to 2 pinches of crushed Bicorn Horn but he added six pinches of it because he was being distracted by Hermione's soft whispers and Ron's groans. But even Ron's one looked better than his. His was dark orange and Hermione's was a light orange.

Shit. He thought. Snape was coming his way. He watched him until he was behind him and his cold and raspy voice spoke loud behind him. "Potter! What is this abomination? It's is supposed to be light orange not red. This is unacceptable. Ten points from Gryffindor for failure to listen to instructions" He said very smoothly. The Slytherins were giggling loudly at him and he felt very embarrassed and mad. "But professor it's not even done yet you can't just judge!" He shouted in defense. "Even if it was done it would still be the wrong colour. It is not transitioning to black Potter."

Harry watched furiously as his potion slowly turned black. "But professor it wasn't my fault!" He yelled at him. "Then who's fault was it then? Is an invisible person making the potion for you? Five points from Gryffindor for talking back to a teacher." Snape said. "But-" Harry tried. "Do you want a detention with your fifteen points?" Snape asked teasingly. Harry shook his head defeated. "Good now class dismissed" Snape said and the whole class starting heading out as the Slytherins were still giggling at him and Ron and Hermione gave him sympathetic looks.

Harry an out of the class angerly and got to his common room quite quickly. He said the password and went to his dorm room. He was mad. He was livid. Why did Snape have to treat him like some dirt on the road all the time. Crabbe and Goyle's one was white for Merlin's sake. He paced around the room angerly and decided to turn into his Animagus form to calm down. That didn't work. He seemed more mad now. Stomped his foot angerly and he saw black fur. Black fur! He could see his large paws and a little bit of his nose. He ran to the mirror to see what he was and what he saw shocked him.

He was a Chaos. A Chaos Howler! He'd read about them a while back and he'd been invested in them. He couldn't believe his eyes. He had black fur and bright green eyes. And he was very fluffy. And big. Like huge. As big a common wolf. And he could summon his claws at will. And he had fangs. He was so excited he almost howled but refrained from it. No wonder he couldn't see himself in the mirror. Chaos's turn invisible when they're scared or confused. They could of course turn invisible at will.

He could do anything as the animal and no one would know it was him. He definitely wasn't gonna tell Ron and Hermione. They'd look at him differently and he couldn't handle that. But he could do some other things while his at his form. Remember he still hasn't forgotten about his anger with Snape. His blood was still boiling with anger and he wanted to rip him apart with his claws.

He smirked. It was time to get revenge on Snape.

Definitions:
Chaos Howler- Mythical creature. A Chaos Howler is a mix of a cat and a wolf. It is more powerful than your average wolf and as powerful as a werewolf on the full moon. It has the abilities of a camelion, so it can blend in with it's environment and it'll look like it's invisible and like a cat it always lands on it's feet. It is considered one of the most dangerous animals in the magical world, they are very rare and ancient and one has not been seen in over 50 years so they are believed to be extinct.
