Hello there Losties. Today I am going to write about my own version of Season 7 Episode 2. It will be titled A New Life. Let us begin with our episode. Previously on Lost. Libby was revealed to be Jacob's daughter and Ilana's sister. Her husband was Dave. She was tasked with keeping an eye on Hurley in the mental hospital as he was most likely the replacement of Jacob. Meanwhile, Hurley and the others buried Jack's body. Hurley and Desmond also learnt that Libby was the one that gave Desmond the boat and Desmond was on his way back home on the Elizabeth.
The Episode begins with Hurley,Ben,Rose,Bernard and Vincent looking at Desmond sailing away. Hurley then asked Ben what should he do next which Ben advised him to gather the remaining members of the others. Rise and Bernard then urged Hurley to send them back to their cabin which gave Hurley a better idea. He said "During the time when the freighter came, some of us moved into the barracks and it's quite comfortable. You should live there Rose and Bernard." Ben then told Hurley that the barracks are in a bad shape which Hurley replied with"Well let is clean the barracks then,but first let's send Rose and Bernard back to their cabin." The four survivors and the dog soon boarded the van as Hurley drove them back to Rose and Bernard's cabin.
A flashback was shown. Rose,Bernard and Vincent were escaping from the flaming arrows. Some survivors could be seen being shot and burned alive. The couple and the dog soon ran deep into the jungle to hide from the attackers. The three were exhausted and decides to rest. Bernard asked Rose if they should check on the other survivors. Rose replied that it's too risky to search for the survivors now and that they could search for the survivors when it's safer during the next time flashes. After a few time flashes they still failed to search for the other survivors.
We are then brought back to the present. Hurley have just dropped Rose,Bernard and Vincent off at their cabin. Hurley and Ben wondered how to gather the remaining members of the others as Jacob's ghost appeared to Hurley. He told Hurley to head to the barracks and find some fireworks and launched them into the sky to gather the members of the others. Hurley then asked Ben for help with the fireworks which he knows where they are. The two soon headed to the barracks on the van.
A flashback was soon showed. Rose,Bernard and Vincent were moving across the jungle when they saw a light lid up from the hatch into the nigh sky. They wondered when they were so they decided to check the beach. They were supposed to see the camp and all the survivors. Rose was shocked to see her past self while hiding in the bushes. They then decided to move into the jungle far away from the beach camp as they want to avoid contact with the past self of the survivors. They waited for the time flashes to stop which of course did. After that,they gathered some fruits to eat. Rose suddenly had an idea. She said" Someone once told me the best thing is when you retired,you should build a cabin on an island and enjoy the rest of your days. Why don't we do that?" Bernard agreed and the two began collecting some wood to build their cabin.
We are brought back to the present. Hurley and Ben have arrived at the barracks. Ben then entered his house and found the fireworks he's been hiding. He then launced them into the sky to gather the remaining members of the others. Hurley and Ben then started to clean the started with Ben's house. Hurley was in charge with mopping the floor while Ben was in charge with cleaning the walls. After cleaning for some time,the two heard movements coming from outside the barracks. Members of the others have just showed up. Cindy,the kids, Harper, Isabel and even more members of the others showed up. Ben was glad that there are still a handful of survivors. The others then asked for Richard's whereabouts. Ben said that Richard have left the island with the others after the death of the MIB and Hurley have become the guardian of the island to replace Jacob and he is now playing Richard's role as the advisor for Hurley. Most of the others doubted his words but Hurley confirmed it and he told them that there won't be any secrets left and everyone will be treated as equal. He then told the others to clean up and manage the barracks which they did. The group started cleaning all the barracks so that it will be a comfortable place for the others to live.
A flashback was once again shown. Rose and Bernard were building their cabin when Vincent started barking. They turned their heads to see Richard. They were scared but Richard calmed them down. He said that Sawyer and the others are with the Dharma Initiative and he asked him to help look for some surviving time travellers and bring them to him. Rose and Bernard told him that they chose to live a peaceful life and don't want to be involved in any more dramas which made Richard think of him and Isabella. He felt touched and decided to keep their whereabouts a secret. He told the couple that they are in the territory of the others and if they encounter any trouble,they can just call for him. He then asked the couple of they know the future leader of the others,John Locke which the couple replied with yes. They said that he killed a woman in cold blood which they are wary about. They told him that Locke will be a cripple when he arrived to the island in the future. They said he will be a great man, a man of faith. Rose even said that he will be healed and gain his ability to walk once more on the island as the island will heal him just like how it healed her of her cancer. Richard acknowledged it and told them that if they need any food they can just go to the Dharma drop point and that he would provide them with more materials to build their cabin and he soon left.
We are soon brought back to the present. It is evening time and the others have finished cleaning and reorganizing the barracks. Hurley then drove to bring Rose,Bernard and Vincent over. He gave them one of the barracks for them to live a better life with electricity and water and the other facilities. Ben then sent the members of the others to their respective barracks. The others are impresses that Ben have turned into a better man and they are happy that Ben have changed. Suddenly, Alex's ghost appeared to Hurley and she told him to tell Ben that "You did great that. You have changed towards the better. I am sorry for all those mean words I yelled at you. I love you father." Hurley told Ben the exact words and pointed him towards the direction of Alex's ghost. Ben was touched and he cried,saying I love you too my dear Alex. To be continued.
