A/N: In honor of Buggle's bday and bc I love this fam so much.
Nathaniel John Benson-Stabler was a lot of things.
Baby of the family.
Little brother extraordinaire.
Chocolate chip connoisseur.
Most recently, however? Newly minted escape artist, much to his parents dismay and his brother's delight.
And that's what he was doing on Saturday at 7am while his parents watched with their breathes held as he hauled himself over the side of his crib and toddled to the door.
On the monitor, El clicked one of the arrows that made the camera move, and they both laughed softly as he struggled to open the door.
When he finally got it, he proudly huffed at himself and briefly returned to his crib for his Teddy and blanket before making his way to the hallway.
Elliot had put a baby-proof gate between the hallway to their bedrooms and the kitchen, so the little boy looked intently between his two options: mom & dad or brothers.
Switching cameras, El and Liv carefully studied the one that was pointed at his door, laughing at the obvious sight of his mind spinning with options.
They saw him walk left, and broke out into soft giggles when they heard his little hands at their door.
"Mama…. Dada…" he called, patiently waiting for someone to let him in.
El couldn't stop his laughter as he got out of bed and opened the door, scooping up his little man in one swoop.
He snuggle in tightly to him and smiled. "I dada."
"Hi buddy," he whispered, kissing his head as he reached for Liv with a smile.
"I mama," he smiled, snuggling close into her and gently rubbing her face.
"You remember what today is?" She asked him softly, and he nodded. "No day"
"Noah's birthday that's right, sweet boy."
He pulled back with a smile, sitting on his knees in her lap to look at her. "Mama… auples an pips? No?"
"You wanna make Noah waffles for breakfast for his birthday?"
He nodded quickly and grinned, playing with her fingers as his tiny hands held hers and cuddling back in.
"Oh I think we can do that… why don't we wake your Eli up?"
"Mhm," he smiled nodding but remaining tucked into Liv's arms.
"You want mommy to come?"
"Mhm," he smiled against her chest and she nodded. "Alright come on," she grinned, putting him on her hip and sneaking down to the boys room.
She set him down and he quietly crept up to his brother's bed, pulling himself up on the loft and gently rubbing his face.
"Eyi," he whispered, stirring him awake and making him squint and then startle. A hand wrapped protectively around his little back so he didn't fall off the loft.
Liv laughed quietly from the door, and when Eli caught sight of her he fell back with a relaxed sigh. "Jeez," he whispered as Nate crawled under the covers and snuggled into him.
"Whatcha doing up buddy," he whispered to him, and Nate pointed to Noah. "No day… auples an pips!" He loudly whispered back as Eli shushed him.
"Okay we can do that," he smiled, brushing his curls back and kissing his nose. "Gimme 5 more minutes," he yawned, resting his chin on the top of his brother's head as he snuggled in. "Noah won't be up for another three hours," he whispered.
"Mama?" Nate asked, rolling to look at Liv.
"Such a mamas boy lately," she teased quietly as she made her way over to him and watched him pat the spot beside him.
"Baby there isn't enough room in here… why don't you guys come in our bed?"
"Eyi, mama and dada," he nodded sliding Into his moms arms and looking at his oldest brother expectantly.
"I'm coming, I'm coming," he groaned quietly, dragging himself out of his bed and slipping on a sweatshirt before following them.
"Thought we were getting waffles?" El asked with a laugh when Liv came back with their oldest and youngest in tow.
"We are, but first we are gonna sleep a little longer," Eli yawned, crawling in the middle of the bed and laughing as Nate crawled on top of him.
"Dada, mama, Eyi, Nate," he grinned, pointing at everyone and making them laugh. "Good job buddy," Eli smiled up at the little boy who was now straddling his chest and playing with his face.
"Not gonna let me go back to sleep huh?"
He shook his head, doing a little happy dance from within his own little world.
"Figured," he laughed. "Well let mom and dad sleep okay? We'll go make waffles."
"Mama?" He asked and Eli shook his head, giving him his signature "big bro" look. "Nah buddy they're gonna sleep a little longer.
He sighed dramatically but nodded. "Taaaay."
"C'mon," he said, standing and taking him with them, waving at his parents and locking the door on his way out.
El and Liv looked at each other, bursting into giggles and curling close to one another.
"I love being their mom," Liv sighed happily and El smiled. "I love watching you be their mom… real turn on," he winked.
She burst into laughter. "Stiff breeze turns you on."
"Yeah well, cause I'm always thinking about my hot wife," he winked, disappearing from view under the covers.
"Alright… how does Noah do this?" Eli asked Nate who's little legs were swinging on the edge of the counter.
"Pips," he nodded smiling.
"Yeah I know that," he said, tickling his belly and making him crack up, "but there's more to it than pips. Dang it, chocolate chips," he corrected laughing.
Nate shrugged and reached for the bag of chocolate chips that lived on their counter.
"You get 3 and then after you eat your fruit, you get more okay? What fruit do you want?"
"Asps." "Raspberries?"
They said together, causing them both to laugh as Eli turned to grab some from the fridge. He set them beside him and opened the container.
After spending about 20 minutes looking at recipes and letting his baby brother to eat at least 20 more chocolate chips that he was usually allowed, he looked at him.
"Wanna go for a walk and order some waffles from Johnny's?" He asked.
"Mmmmhm," he said holding his arms out to be picked up.
Eli carried him into his room, laying him on his changing table while he grabbed some clothes for him.
In their room, Liv was bent over the bed while El took her from behind when they heard their sons chatting on the monitor.
Grabbing the device from the middle of the bed, Liv turned on the screen as El's thrusts slowed a bit and they listened.
"Mom and dad if you're listening, and I know you are, we gave up on making waffles," he said, pulling sweat pants on Nate and a sweatshirt that matched his own.
"And I know exactly what you guys are doing in there so I'm going to just take your credit card dad and we'll be back."
Both El and Liv laughed, embarrassed, and tossed the monitor across the bed as El sped up again.
Taking a fist full of her hair, he pulled her flush to his body and wrapped his hand around her waist to tweak her clit.
"Harder…." She gasped, allowing herself to be a little louder once they heard the boys leave.
He obliged as their eyes met in the mirror in front of them that was hung above Liv's dresser.
"So good… so good El," she gasped, clenching around him and allowing herself to release with a silent scream that started to get a little louder.
Letting go of her, he laid her down on the bed and took her even harder until he was spilling inside of her and she was rocked to a third orgasm.
"Shit I love you," he mumbled and she breathed out a laugh. "I love you… I love this life."
"Don't start being sweet again I won't be able to stop," he laughed.
She giggled. "Let's get cleaned up and fix our bed. We'll do breakfast in here."
"Sounds good beautiful," he smiled and kissed her sweetly as they got cleaned up and redressed.
They made coffee, and then made out a little more in the kitchen before going in to see their middle boy.
He was still sprawled out and asleep, his hair and limbs everywhere.
"Morning…." El smiled, climbing into his bed.
"Happy birthday, sweet boy," Liv smiled, curling up on his other side.
Noah stirred slightly and rolled to face his mom. "Morning," he yawned with a sleepy smile. "Where's the guys?" He asked with a yawn
"Getting you a surprise… wanna go wait for it on our bed?"
Rolling towards his dad, Noah smiled and nodded. "Yeah…"
Hugging him close, El smiled. "Happy birthday buddy."
"Thanks daddy," he yawned and smiled.
El picked him up and the three snuggled up in bed together.
"11…. That's crazy," Liv smiled and he nodded, smiling.
"I'm like almost a teenager," Noah giggled and El laughed, shaking his head. "Slow down buddy, you got a ways to go."
Noah grinned and hugged his dad as they heard the door open and Eli and Nate come back.
"Sh, buddy, Noah is sleeping."
"Auples?" Nate asked, concerned and pointing at the bag.
"I know we'll have to see if he's awake and if not we gotta wake him up."
"Mama dada?"
"Yeah let's go see them c'mon," he said, starting to put him down only to have him whine and pout. "No no no no no Eyi."
"Dramatic okay I'll carry you," he laughed and the little one giggled.
Quietly, they crept to the hallway where their bedrooms were, and peaked into the room he shared with Noah, finding it empty.
"No?" Nate whisper asked and Eli nodded. "Probably in with mommy and daddy… shhh," he said and Nate nodded, shushing too.
They snuck down the hallway and poked their heads in their parents room, finding Noah all snuggled between them.
"Happy Birthday!!!" Eli cried and Nate clapped, lunging for the bed. "Day no!!!!" He grinned, running up to him and crashing into his arms.
Noah was beaming and hugged him tightly, kissing his head. "Thanks buddy!!!"
Eli reached over Liv to hug his baby brothers. "Happy birthday buddy," he smiled and Noah grinned up at his very best friend. "Thanks Eli!"
"Listen we tried to make you waffles, but you don't have a recipe written down so we picked some up," he smiled and Noah grinned. "Dude that's perfect , thank you!!"
"Anything for you baby bro. Let me go get it," he smiled and headed off to the kitchen to make plates.
"Good birthday surprise?" Liv asked as Nate cuddled into Noah and he smiled. "The best! My brothers are the best," he grinned up to his mom.
"You are one lucky boy," she smiled, kissing his head.
"Gifts later at Mo's okay?" El smiled and Noah nodded. "Okay!"
Eli returned with several take out containers and forks for everyone to eat and they all eyed Nate suspiciously.
"Lemme get a towel," El said and they all laughed.
They ate and chatted, and when they were done, Eli kissed his brother's head. "Sorry we had to do take out waffles," he laughed a bit.
"You kidding me? This is the best birthday ever and that was the nicest!" He grinned up at Eli who smiled. "I love you, bro. Happy Birthday."
"Love you more bro," he smiled, leaning into him and turning their attention back to the movie they'd picked.
Nate was rested between, starting to fade off, and Liv stole a glance from Elliot over their boy's heads.
He winked at her, and she smiled.
Brothers were really something else.
