They stood there, swaying for several minutes after their song ended.

"We never took that walk," Kurt said, breaking the silence.

Blaine laughed. "No, we didn't. Would you like to?"

"I'd love to," he replied. "Could we maybe catch some more fish for lunch? Then, I think I'd like to spend the afternoon with Dad."

"That sounds wonderful," Blaine said. "Let's grab the tackle and head out. I'll drive you over there after we eat, and then I'll head back here. I really do have to get some work done."

"Is there anywhere you can do it at his house?" Kurt asked. "I didn't really get too much of a tour, so there might not be a place."

"He has an office I've used before," Blaine said, settling the conversation without any more questions. Kurt wouldn't be asking if he didn't want him there.

The two gathered the things they needed in near silence. They both used the restroom, grabbed a few snacks, and then started walking. The colors of the trees and foliage were gorgeous and made Kurt think of O'a Nalore in the second season when the trees turned different shades of red and orange and yellow, and the animals were gathering up food for the cold.

There were downed branches here and there that were covered in a green moss, and the leaves that had already fallen to the ground looked like the pieces of torn paper his kin threw at celebrations sometimes. All in all, he felt he could get used to this place, and the similarities helped more than they made him miss his home.

Kurt could hear the creek flowing not far from where they were, and he could tell where they were from their previous trip the other night. Once they were in the right place, Blaine got the poles set up, and they took their spots along the bank.

"Let's catch some extra and take it to Burt's for supper tonight," Blaine suggested. "He has a smoker that gives it the best flavor. With most smoked meat, it needs to be on there for hours and hours. Trout, though, only takes around two hours. Plus, Burt's potato salad is the best you'll ever eat in your lifetime. His secret…? Dill pickle spears and pickle juice instead of relish and vinegar."

Kurt nodded his head in agreement. He guessed the smoker was something used to cook in. What potato salad and dill pickles were, though, he had no idea. He was sure he'd find out, and if he didn't enjoy whatever it was, they'd find something he would like.

The two stood there on the bank, silently catching a fish here and there and thinking over everything that had happened in the past couple of days. Blaine was thinking about how his ordinary day of chopping wood turned into meeting the person he felt he was destined to be with. Kurt was thinking about everything that had happened in his life and the events that led him to where he was. The startling thing about it all was that he wouldn't change a second of it because it all led him to where he was right now: standing on the bank of a picturesque creek with a gorgeous man.

"Maybe sometime I can cook for the two of you?" he asked. "Something from my home world. The problem will be finding the right ingredients or, I guess, close equivalents, if we can."

"I'd love that," Blaine said as he reeled in his fourth fish. They had a total of seven now, and that was likely sufficient. Kurt didn't eat a lot, and for a light lunch, they could both eat just one. "Burt is always up to try new foods, too, and he loves to learn new dishes."

The pair cleaned the fish and disposed of the skins and innards before packing up and walking back to the little cabin.

"Blaine?" Kurt asked.

"Yes?"

"What does courting look like here?"

"Well, I think that depends on a lot of things," Blaine answered. "Sometimes, it is going on dates to the movies or a restaurant. Sometimes, it's simply spending time together, doing puzzles or fishing or something else both people like. Sometimes, it's even one person introducing the other to new things they enjoy. It can vary drastically between couples. For me, this is perfect. Me being able to spend time with you, doing the things I love to do. Talking with you and getting to know about you. Getting to see you discover new things and teach you about this world. Our relationship is definitely going to look different from everyone else's, though it will be no less amazing or special. What does it look like in O'a Nalore?"

"Mostly just taking walks and talking," Kurt said. "Sometimes, there will be a group of traveling bards who put on a show that I would see couples attend together. Sometimes, couples find each other on a journey one place or another and then join the other. Do you think maybe… Goodness. I feel like I'm asking a lot right now, though I know you're likely to tell me I'm not."

"You'd be right," Blaine answered as they approached the cabin.

"Could we maybe find time to dance as often as it is appropriate?" Kurt asked. "It's something I never really got to do back home, and dancing with you earlier was wonderful."

Blaine smiled like he'd just won the lottery. "Kurt, we can dance whenever you want."

"Okay," Kurt whispered with a blush high on his cheeks, reaching to the tips of his slightly pointed ears.

The two prepared lunch together. It was a simple fried fish with air-fried potatoes and a small salad. They gobbled it up, listening to the radio play through the small cabin's surround sound. After they were finished eating, Blaine gathered up his work things and put them in a bag, along with anything else he might need for the rest of the day.

He was almost ready when he heard the guitar-led melody of a new song start to play. After placing the items he was carrying on the sofa, he walked up behind Kurt, who was looking at the books and photos on the bookshelf.

Only you can make all this world seem right

"Care to dance, Mr. Hummel?" Blaine asked with a cheeky smile.

Only you can make the darkness bright

"I'd love to," Kurt answered, blush creeping back up his cheeks and ears.

Only you and you alone
Can thrill me like you do
And fill my heart with love for only you

By the second verse, Kurt's heart was hammering in his chest. He was afraid that, if it beat any harder, it might come clean out of his body. The reassuring thing, though, was that Blaine's heart was beating just as hard.

Only you can make all this change in me
For it's true, you are my destiny
When you hold my hand
I understand the magic that you do
You're my dream come true
My one and only you

Only you can make all this change in me
For it's true, you are my destiny
When you hold my hand
I understand the magic that you do
You're my dream come true
My one and only you

One and only you

"Kurt," Blaine rasped.

"Kiss me," Kurt pleaded.

Blaine's lips were instantly on Kurt's, and the two kissed. They couldn't describe, if someone had asked them, how this kiss was different from any they'd shared before. All they knew was that something between them had changed with that song, and it was something that felt like forever.

A/N: The song used is "Only You" by The Platters.
