Welcome, all to another fic! I swear this would be the last one before I focus back on BIBO I promise XD
So yeah, new fic. The basic premise is that Quirkless Izuku learns martial arts and a little something more to keep things in his favor. You'll see it in a few more chapters. This is also a crossover with the Kengan series and Capcom, but just like Heroic Fate, you don't need to know anything to read it. Things are explained as you read it.
Anyways, on to the fic!

Chapter 1
Midoriya Izuku stood outside of the alleyway, his thin body nearly shaking from the sheer fright he was feeling at the moment.
Right before him, a woman was being accosted by a couple of guys in the alleyways. Judging by their leering gaze and wandering hands, they were planning to do something rather horrible to her.
"H-hey! Stop that! Leave me alone!" She cried out in fear.
"Oh come on sweet cheeks, we can show you a pretty good time if you let us."
"You probably want some more by the time we're done." One of the guys leered towards her.
Izuku stood at the edge of the alleyway with a shaky breath, his mind going through a couple of miles per hour as he considered his options.
He could call for a hero, that would be the safest bet. A Quirkless guy like him can't really do anything to help here. He would just be a nuisance at best, yes he should go find one now.
"P-Please, stop." The woman pleaded, stopping Izuku in his tracks.
"Tch, come on woman, it will be fun!"
"H-Hey, leave her alone!"
A shaky but demanding voice called out. Both the woman and the group of men looked towards the source, the group of men looked alarmed and the woman gained a ray of hope, however the alarmed look immediately turned lax and annoyed while the woman's hope was immediately crushed away at the sight.
Izuku stood there with a slight tremble in his body, his voice shaky as he stood before them.
What the hell is he doing? He should be calling for a hero! Not stand and confront them!
"Huh? What are you doing here kid?"
"Leave us alone and we might spare you."
Izuku gulped as he heard that, their eyes glaring holes into him as they try to dissuade him from doing something noble but ultimately still stupid. All they were seeing was this scrawny-looking kid that was trying to play hero, heck he was shaking in his boots.
It was enough to make them pity him.
"I can't do that," Izuku replied, his voice resolute.
The group of men seemed a bit irritated at that, however one of them, a blue-haired man, was looking at him rather closely. As if he had just remembered something.
"Hey, you're that Quirkless kid in my brother's school that he kept spouting about! You do look as pathetic as he said!" The guy laughed, making the rest of the guys look at him with some surprise while the woman seemed more resigned to her fate.
It kinda hurts to see.
Izuku however ignored that feeling and focused on the group of men before him with some surprise, who knew one of them got a brother that was going to Aldera High along with him.
"Seriously?"
"So that's the Quirkless kid? I thought they were all gone by now."
"Poor kid, ah well."
"How about this kid? You just leave us alone and we won't bother you or even speak about this. Heck, you can even join if you want, who knows it might be the only time you will ever get the chance!" The blue-haired man spoke, looking at him with some pity while smiling at him rather condescendingly.
The woman seemed to look alarmed at that, shaking her head frantically while looking at Izuku. Pleading him not to accept that offer. Izuku wasn't really planning to anyways but a part of him finds it rather redundant as she has other things to be more worried about. Like the guys surrounding her for example.
But still, he can't let them do whatever they want, even as memories of people ridiculing his dreams flash through his mind.
"You? A hero? Hah! Nice joke!"
"I'm sorry Izuku!"
"It's good to have dreams kid, but make sure it's realistic."
Even after All Might himself rejected his dream, a part of Midoriya Izuku would still act as a hero no matter what.
"No." He replied with determination in his tone, lifting up his arms as if he was preparing for a fight.
The guys looked towards each other, incredulity clear in their gaze.
"This kid's serious?"
"Ah, whatever! Some of you handle the kid while we deal with the missus here." One of them said before focusing on the woman.
Some of the guys looked at each other, seemingly having a mental conversation before two of them approached Izuku with a sigh.
"Let's get this over with."
"Come on kid, we don't get all day."
The two men stood before him, one of them turning their fingers into knives while the other had flames emitted from the palm of their hands.
Izuku gulped in slight fear but stood his ground. Raising his arms up and clenching his fist with a firm grip.
With a shout, the clawed man raised his arms and went for a swipe towards him. However, Izuku could see it from a mile away, allowing him to step back and immediately launch a punch straight towards his face.
"Grkh!" The man flinched back but recovered easily, grinning towards Izuku with a mocking grin as he was not even affected by the punch.
"You hit like a wimp!" He cackled before sending another series of swipes towards the verdette.
Izuku widens his eyes as he jumps back, his emerald eyes tracking the man's movement as his mind starts to move at a couple of miles per hour.
Left swipe, right swipe, uppercut, he dodged them as his eyes somehow managed to read the man's movement. It was something that he had always found peculiar, somehow he could 'see' attacks coming towards him from a mile away. It's not really limited to attacks but physical movements in general. It had helped him a lot when dealing with bullies. At first, he thought it was a Quirk but the lack of Quirk factors within his body had dashed that idea away. He was 100% Quirkless, there was nothing that could deny that fact.
Izuku took another step back before shearing heat filled his senses, burning fist meeting his back as he tumbled down to the ground with searing pain.
"Watch your surroundings, kid." The man with the flaming hands mocked, making him grit his teeth in pain.
He's right, he needs to watch his surroundings. He's fighting multiple people here, not watching his back would cause a lot more than just a burning fist to his back.
With a grunt, he stood back up on his feet. His eyes trained towards both of his opponents, his mind blocking out of the burning pain through experience dealing with bullies. His breath came out as labored but he forcibly calmed it down, controlling it properly while he raised his arms back up.
His eyes trailed around the ground, seeing a pipe laying around along the trash can, he could also see some pieces of glass beneath him that probably had broken off from the shattered alcohol bottle nearby.
He then looks back towards the two men in front of him. His mind was already coming up with a plan as he lowered his center of gravity. All of this happened merely under a second, his exceptional eyesight pairing with his talent in analysis allowing him to gain and process information far faster than normal.
The two guys seemed to sense what he was planning, the clawed man had even gotten impatient as he immediately lunged towards him, one of his hands aimed towards Izuku as he swiped towards him with his clawed hand.
Izuku immediately ducked low, stretching out one of his legs as he did so. He then spun around and swept his leg under the approaching man, letting him fall down onto the glasses below. He then grabbed the nearby pipe before lunging towards the second man.
The guy however didn't hesitate, immediately throwing another fiery jab towards Izuku. However as said before, the verdette could see attacks coming from a mile away. The only reason the attack landed previously was that he wasn't aware of it.
With a flick of his wrist, he used the pipe to bat away the jab. The man hissed in pain as blood could be seen spurting out from his injured hand, whether Izuku noticed it or not he didn't give any reaction as he entered the man's guard.
With a shout, he brought the pipe back up and gave a mighty swing towards the man's head. However, the man wasn't so easily brought down as he used his second hand to hold the pipe from coming down on his head, heating up the pipe as he did so.
Izuku didn't let that deter him, with a shout he lifted his leg and kicked the man's crotch. He might have hesitated in normal circumstances but the adrenaline pumping through his veins was making things rather blurry for him. His fight or flight instinct is in overdrive and it's resorting to fighting all the way.
The man whimpered in pain as he let go of the pipe, his Quirk deactivating as he held his crotch in pain. Izuku didn't even hesitate when he brought down the now heated pipe towards the man's head, knocking him out in the process.
A groan caught his attention, making him glance towards his back as he noticed the second clawed hand man struggling to lift himself, his shirt wet with blood as he had fallen on the broken glass beneath.
Izuku released a deep breath as he started to calm down, the sight of the injured man finally snapped him out of the 'zone' he was in. Guilt started to build up within him but he squashed it down in favor of focusing on his opponent.
"Fuck!" The man swore, making the rest of the group of men look towards the two. Their eyes widened in surprise as they saw the current state of things.
"Shit, the kid got Akuma and Tsurugi is bleeding badly there. I thought you said he was Quirkless?!"
"He is dammit!"
"Whatever, we'll just beat him up. It's us 5 against one of him. Quirk or no Quirk, he's done for."
Izuku widened his eyes as he heard that, seeing all the guys leaving the woman behind as they focused on him. He could see the woman was untouched so far, making him sigh in relief.
"Don't think you're safe now kid, we gave you a choice to back away and this is what you do? You're fucked now you hear me?!" One of them roared in anger, making him flinch slightly. He needs to buy time so that the woman can escape. He'll just fight them until she gets away, easy stuff.
Oh who was he kidding, he's fucked. He only managed to beat those two guys through sheer luck, he's not getting past this one.
But the small part of him that wanted to be a hero assured him that he was doing the right thing. It doesn't matter what happens to him now as long as she is safe.
"Come at me you pieces of shit!" He roared back, a savage grin clear on his face.
What followed was the most excruciating and bloody fight he had ever been in.
Everything turned red, he was gripping the pipe in his hands rather tightly as he used it as a weapon. His body racked with pain as he stormed through the hail of pain that rained down on him but he weathered through it.
Fist and metal meet flesh, his body racked with pain even as he tries his best to keep standing. His breath grew labored as he tanked through the attacks, he was pretty sure some of them took out something sharp and was using it. So far it seems like it was just minor slashes, he hoped it's minor cause the pain are starting to blend in together.
However, it didn't take long for him to finally fall back down to the ground. He breathed heavily as he let go of the pipe in his hand. A nearby broken mirror allowed him to see just how messed up he looked.
His body was covered in bruises, cuts littered his body and blood soaked his now tattered school uniform. Blood trailed down from the temple of his head while his left eye was sporting a giant bruise.
God his mom was going to lose her mind once she saw him.
However, the sound of groaning caught his attention. Slowly, he turned away from the mirror and to his surroundings. Around him, he could see one more body laying around him, including that guy along with the other two guys that he fought earlier, that makes three.
But he was pretty sure he was fighting five more guys after fighting those two, so where's the other four?
The sound of a body being slammed into the wall caught his attention.
Looking up, he could see another person standing in the middle of the alleyway. Around him stood the four guys he was looking for. One of them was unconscious as he leaned onto the wall while the rest was looking at him wearily, all three looking slightly worse than before meaning he did some damage to them at least.
The newcomer himself however was rather intimidating looking, he has messy curly black hair similar to seaweed. His body was rather buffed and muscled but it was clear they were not for show. He wore a grey sweater that snugly fitted him with a black shirt underneath. He could also see he wore black slacks along with black shoes. However, what caught Izuku's attention the most was the lax but slightly excited look that the man was sporting, his narrowed grey eyes exuding confidence and general indifference.
'Dad?' Izuku mentally thought to himself, seeing the similarities between the man and his late father. But he shook his head out of that thought, his father was dead from a villain attack a long time ago. This guy just looked similar to his father.
The man looked around him, his smile still there on his face as he looked around him.
"Who the fuck are you?! Why the hell are you here?!" One of the thugs asked frantically.
"Me?" He perked up, "You don't get to know my name yet. As for why? Well, you seem to have fun fighting so I thought why not join?" The man shrugged casually.
"Don't fuck with us dammit! It's just been one after another with these interruptions, I'm gonna gut you like a fish!" The thug that had pointed out his Quirkless status screamed out before lunging towards the newcomer, knife in hand at the ready.
The man however, didn't really react other than raising his hand. He grasped the thug's hand that held the knife as the thug thrust toward him, but instead of disarming him. The thug instead went flying after a mere bent on the wrist, sending him sprawling towards the wall.
The rest of the thugs look toward the man in surprise and slight fear.
"What the hell?!"
"Is that a Quirk?"
The thugs were confused, how can someone send a full person flying with just a bent on the wrist?
"No, that's not a Quirk…." The voice was low and rather raspy, but the thugs could identify that it came from Izuku. The verdette was still on his knees but he was observing the fight with a tired but still attentive gaze.
Out of all the people there, Izuku was the only one that managed to understand what was going on. His own talent in analysis and obsession with Quirks however, wasn't the main cause, no. The main cause was his exceptional eyesight. His gift of being able to 'see' attacks or physical movement allowed him to understand what had happened.
"Y-you...you changed his momentum -wait no, you changed his flow of power..." Izuku breathed out, looking toward the man with slight awe.
What the man did was basically take the flow of strength from within the body and redirect it, allowing him to send the thug flying easily. Such a move would need massive levels of delicate control. It had to be a product of a Quirk but he could 'see' that it was all naturally from the man himself.
"Oh? You managed to deduct that from just a single look? You got some good eyes there kid, but yeah it was no Quirk. I just give a little nudge there and off he goes." The man smirked, slightly impressed that the verdette was able to figure it out.
One of the thugs suddenly screamed in frustration, "I don't fucking care dammit! You're dead meat!"
With that, the final two thugs rushed towards the man. One enlarged its hands while the other started to turn into a beast-like creature.
But it was for naught, the man suddenly disappeared from their view, reappearing right between them.
"Too slow." The man said before chopping their necks, knocking both of them out.
Izuku knelt there, his eyes widening in surprise and awe as he saw how easily the man dispatched them. The visage of the man before him looked bigger than before as he realized just how powerful he was.
The man glanced toward him, his smirk still clear on his face.
"Oi, you wanna fight too?"
Izuku looked surprised at that, looking a little frightened before laughing a bit nervously. Though it more came out like a wheeze with how injured he was. "I-I don't think I'm in the right state for that…"
The man looked a bit confused at that, "And how so?"
Izuku looked a bit confused at that, "Because I'm injured?"
The man doesn't seem convinced of that, "And yet you still decide to fight against these chumps." He emphasizes while lightly kicking the unconscious man's leg beside him. "By the time I got here, you were already pretty injured and yet you're still fighting them with those injuries. I gotta say kid, you got some spunk. These chumps pissed you off or something?" He asked curiously.
"No, I was actually helping….The lady! That woman! Is she alright?!" Izuku asked frantically, looking around the alleyway for any sight of the woman from before.
The man raised an eyebrow at that, "A woman? Well, I did pass by one before I got here. She seems pretty scared. Must have gotten away, she didn't call for any help though."
Izuku however seemed relieved as he heard that, "She's safe then, that's good to hear."
The man however raised an eyebrow at that, "She practically abandoned you and yet you're more concerned about her safety? You're a weird kid, you know that?"
Izuku smiled mirthlessly at that, "I've been called worse so I guess that's par for the course."
The man shook his head at that with a chuckle, "You are really confusing me here, kid."
Izuku chuckled along as he leaned slowly to get back up from his kneeling position, his eyes alight with curiosity. "C-can I ask you something?"
"Go ahead kid." The man shrugged, not really seeing anything wrong with it.
"How did you do that? How did you beat them all so easily? Was it a Quirk or a byproduct of it?" He asked, his tone curious as he wondered what kind of Quirk the man has.
"A Quirk? I'm Quirkless, everything I did was all me." The man answered casually, not really finding it anything impressive.
Izuku widened his eyes in surprise as he heard that, for the first time meeting someone that was like him a burst of hope bubbled forth from deep within his soul.
"Wha– Then how?" He asked, slightly breathless.
"Humans aren't that weak to just rely on a single evolutionary feature, we still have other ways to keep up." The man informed him, his eyes narrowing slightly as he had a suspicion about where this might go.
"Then….Can you teach me?" Izuku asked, his eyes wide with hope and desperation clear in his eyes. This might be his only chance of being a hero.
"Teach you?" The man asked with a raised eyebrow.
"Teach me to be able to fight like you, to be strong like you."
"And why should I? What would you even do with these?"
"I…All my life, I just wanted to be a hero. But everyone never really gave me a chance no matter what I did. But if I can learn from you, then there's a chance that I could finally achieve my dream!"
The man looked thoughtful at first, he was about to reject the request first but after looking around them, a stray thought managed to reach his mind.
"I-I know this is a large request, you don't even know me but–"
"Sure," The man interrupted, making him look up in surprise.
"R-really?!" He asked, some hope and incredulity can be heard in his tone.
The man sighed as he heard that, "Honestly at first I was planning to reject it. Frankly kid, you're scrawny, your form is terrible and honestly, you're kinda pathetic." The man listed off, each point feeling like an arrow straight to his heart.
'How cruel.' Izuku thought to himself but part of him can't help but agree. The fact he's even standing right now was still a miracle.
"But," The man continued, making him perk up. "You got guts. Even with all the injuries and the clear losing odds, you still keep fighting. I can respect that."
The man's words caused him to smile a bit sheepishly, though he did flinch a bit from the act as his face was still a giant bruise.
"Still, you look like you haven't even worked out once in your life. You say you want to be a hero? Then did you even work towards it?" His words caused his smile to deflate.
"I….I didn't. I thought just honing my analysis would be enough." He admitted, slightly shameful.
The man sighed as he heard that, "Just analysis won't be enough. There's a lot of strong people out there, you gotta learn how to fight."
"You can help me with that right?" Izuku asked.
"Sure, I can help train you. But know this, you'll be walking into hell." The man spoke ominously as a strange aura filled the alleyway, this was no hyperbole or something to intimidate him with.
He was being serious.
Izuku gulped at that, but he can't back down now. This was his only chance, if he trained hard under this man's tutelage, he could be a hero.
"Of course, I can handle this." Izuku nodded.
The man seemed satisfied at that, dispelling the aura as he smiled down at the verdette.
"We'll see if you can keep that up, the name's Ohma, Ohma Tokita. What about you kid?"
'Like the Witching Hour?' Izuku thought to himself after hearing the name before shaking his head. "My name is Izuku, Izuku Midoriya."
Ohma smiled as he heard that, "It's nice to meet you, Izuku Midoriya."
Izuku returned the smile brightly.
By the time Izuku managed to get home after this, his mother was panicking as she saw his state but he didn't mind her. Someone had given him a chance, a chance to prove himself.
Throughout the night, a small but happy smile could be seen on his face.
[-]
Izuku ran towards the beach, his breath a bit labored as he wore some exercise outfits. A simple black shirt along with green shorts. Across his back was a sling bag, filled with some clothes that he might need considering that he might get rather sweaty. Bruises are still visible around his body which did cause some weird looks and should be causing him some pain, but a few painkillers helped him deal with it.
After that fateful day, he exchanged his contact number with Ohma. The man himself had told him to come by Dagobah Beach to start their training. He wasn't really sure what they would be doing there as the beach itself had turned into a dump but he wasn't going to complain. He was sure the man had his reasons.
Running down the stairs, he could see the familiar mop of seaweed hair right by it. Ohma crossed his arms as he stared at the rising sun before him.
He perked up as he heard the approaching footsteps, looking back as he saw the form of Izuku rushing towards him.
"Sensei!" Izuku waved.
Ohma raised an eyebrow at that, "No need for the formal stuff, just call me Ohma."
Izuku seemed surprised at that before shaking his head, "Then it's fair if you also call me Izuku."
Ohma shrugged uncaringly, "Suit yourself. Now tell me, do you know any martial arts?"
Izuku shook his head, "No, I tried learning it myself but went against it after realizing I could injure myself if I do it wrong."
Ohma nodded at that, "A wise move, well then this would make things a bit easier then. Because what I'll be teaching you won't exactly be counted as a regular martial art that you always see. I'll be teaching you something called The Niko Style." Ohma said while crouching down, picking up a nearby stick, and writing the kanji down.
'The Two Tigers Style.' Izuku translated, crouching down across from Ohma as he looked on curiously.
"Unlike other martial arts that have set patterns, this style instead has sets of basic principles that can be applied in any situation. These principles are referred to as katas and there are four of them." Ohma revealed.
"Just four?" Izuku asked curiously.
"Yep, thanks to how variable the nature of the Niko Style is, just these four katas are enough. I'll explain in a minute." Ohma elaborated, making Izuku nod in acceptance.
He then drew a kanji down on another side of the sand, "The first one is called the Adamantine Kata. This kata involves the tightening of the muscles and joints for both defensive and offensive purposes. If you trained it enough, your muscle control would be off the charts."
He then drew another but this time a bit more upper than the previous one, "The second one is called the Flame Kata, this kata is centered around movement and positioning to give the user greater speed and agility. I think you saw that the other day."
Izuku nodded, remembering how Ohma had just disappeared and reappeared right in between those two thugs.
"The third kata is called The Redirection Kata." Ohma continued, writing the next one down right beside the Flame kata but a bit lower, positioning it across the Adamantine. "The Redirection involves seeing and manipulating 'The Flow Of Power', using minimal motions to turn the opponent's attacks against them. But this kata requires incredible kinetic vision and delicate physical control. I think you have at least one of those down pat." He smirked at Izuku, making him smile sheepishly.
"Was that how you sent that guy flying into the wall the other day?" Izuku asked as he remembered how Ohma had sent one of the thugs flying by merely bending the thug's wrist.
"You'd be right on that." Ohma nodded in confirmation before drawing down the last Kanji right below Flame Kata, "And now the final one is The Water Kata. It's a grappling-based kata that focuses on fluidity and flexibility of motion. It basically involves you learning how to 'soften' your body to be more flexible or to absorb attacks better."
Izuku nodded as he heard that, taking note of all four katas.
"But this is not the core aspect of the style, I'm sure if you master one of these you would be quite the monster but in order to be a proper master of the Niko Style, you must master all four and learn how to combine them." Ohma revealed.
"Combine them?" Izuku asked.
Ohma then drew a diamond, each corner connecting to each Kata, representing how each Kata can be connected with one another. "Yes, combine them. These four katas can complement each other very well, if you're smart about it you could even make some crazy moves with them. But I'm getting ahead of myself, all you need to know for now is that you need to master each of these Kata before you can even attempt to master The Niko Style as a whole." He finished.
Izuku gulped as he heard that, even if he did master one of them it would still not be enough. It sounds daunting but he never really expected it to be easy in the first place. But something was bugging him.
"I see, I can see these katas being useful for low-level villains but what would happen if I encounter any powerful villains?" He asked with some concern in his tone, after all sometimes skill and technique can't really fight against raw power.
Ohma hummed at that while getting up from his crouching position. "Usually I would say run away, sometimes you can't win every fight but…"
"But?" Izuku tilted his head in curiosity.
Ohma walked towards a nearby broken fridge, with a low exhale he suddenly kicked it.
BOOM
The fridge went flying, the metal denting under the force before it crashed into one of the piles of trash.
Izuku looked on in shock, looking at his master with some incredulity in his eyes. Didn't he say he was Quirkless?!
"Humanity didn't just evolve one way. In order to be able to handle these Quirks, the human body had to become more resilient and stronger. Frankly, the term Peak Human is no longer the same as it did 200 years ago. If you trained yourself enough, your strength could rival anyone with a Quirk." Ohma explained casually as if he hadn't just destroyed his pupil's worldview.
"B-but how?! How come no one has ever heard of this?! I mean someone must have known about this right?" Izuku asked frantically. He had never heard of anything like this before, there was just no discussion or research that was done on human physicality unless it involved Quirks.
Wait a minute–
"I see you figured it out," Ohma smirked as he saw the realization in the verdette's eyes.
"They were too focused on Quirks." Izuku realized, "I had heard somewhere that if it wasn't for Quirks, humanity would have reached the Space Age. That's the problem, everyone was so fascinated by Quirks that no one had realized other changes Humanity had gone through."
Ohma nodded, "Exactly, humanity was so blinded by a single gift that they never even realized other gifts that they have received. It's like being focused on a single toy, that you have forgotten about the rest of the other toys."
"Can't really blame them though, Quirks still have their mysteries that need to be uncovered. At best it could be a great convenience for daily lives and at worst it could destroy the laws of physics." Izuku chuckled mirthlessly, something that was followed by his master. "But this also means my chance was better than I thought…" Izuku smiled, tears starting to sprout from his eyes as a feeling of hope bloomed within him.
Ohma raised an eyebrow at the tears but didn't bother with it, he's probably experiencing some strong emotions. It's probably not that frequent.
Future Ohma would remember this memory and curse himself for thinking that.
"Which university you're planning to go here?" Ohma asked curiously.
"UA University, they produced the greatest heroes Japan has ever seen with one of them being All Might himself." Izuku answered while he wiped away the tears, resolution and admiration clear in his tone.
Ohma whistled as he heard that, "Quite the prestigious place there. But those kinds of places are going to offer the greatest challenge, some of them would doubt you and others might even actively try to stop you. Think you're up for that?" Ohma asked with a challenging smirk.
Izuku nodded as he gave a resolute smile of his own. "Of course, I never expected my path to be simple. Compared to everyone, I need to work even harder to catch up. I already wasted years of my life that could have been used for training, I'm not wasting anymore. I have three years before I can enter UA's university exam and my High School years are just starting, I need to make sure I use my time wisely."
Ohma seemed amused at that, "Such determination, why do you want to be a hero so much? Is it for inspiring Quirkless people? Personal vendetta?"
Izuku shook his head at that, "The Quirkless are dwindling by the day, the fact that I'm even Quirkless in my generation is already a miracle. Guess that should have been an indication of how crappy my luck is." He laughed with some bitterness. "As for personal vendetta, I admit that does sound tempting but that doesn't really matter much to me. All I want is to help people, but my Quirkless status would make that harder. That's why if I can master The Niko Style within these three years, then I will be able to achieve my dream."
Ohma laughed as he heard that, making Izuku look a bit embarrassed.
"You really are a weird kid!" Ohma laughed, making his embarrassment worse.
"W-what? What's wrong with that?!"
His laugh slowly devolves into chuckles as he waved away the concern, "It's nothing. Then go ahead then, use The Niko Style however you want. I could care less. Just make sure you keep it alive and pass it on to whoever you think is worthy. That much I would ask."
Izuku rubbed the back of his head in confusion but understood his master's words. "Yes, Ohma-sensei!"
"Oi, what did I tell you about formal stuff?"
"Ah! Sorry sensei!"
Ohma sighed as he heard that, for some reason he felt like it's gonna be a long but interesting three years.
[-]
2 months had passed since Izuku was introduced to The Niko Style, after setting up some schedule to balance his school life and training, he had started training The Niko Style on the beach with Ohma teaching him.
At first, the days were filled with nothing more than just conditioning. Lifting up some trash on the beach and getting his body used to the regime. Throughout the two months, his body had also hit a growth spurt, getting him a bit taller while his body became a bit more toned and muscled thanks to the new diet that his master had recommended. It became a slight problem for the budget after telling his mother about it, but she assured him it was fine. Turns out his late father had left a lot of money in case of emergencies before he died. Helps that his mother also has quite a prestigious job. So money wasn't that much of an issue these days.
But after a month of it, Ohma had started sparring and showing him how to utilize The Niko Style. The first few days were torture for him as he felt every single inch of his body screaming in pain. But he could also feel there was an improvement, he could feel it. Every time he utilized one of the Katas, his analysis talent helped him spot any inconsistencies and correct them since he had a point of reference in the form of his master. Helped even more with Ohma keeping a close eye on him and spotting any mistakes Izuku missed.
Currently, both Izuku and Ohma were sparring on the beach, they both stood in a clearing while what used to be mountains of trash around them looked more like piles of trash. Thanks to Izuku cleaning up the beach as part of his training, the beach is starting to get even better and maybe even cleared out of trash in a few more months.
Izuku breathed deeply as he stood across his master, both of them stood across each other with their arms raised. Izuku's body was matted with sweat while Ohma looked as calm as ever.
Izuku had removed his shirt long before the training even started, after realizing how much he had sweated during training and how stuffy his shirt felt, he had decided to go shirtless whenever he trained with Ohma. So here he stood, clad only in his black track pants.
With a low exhale, Izuku rushed toward his master. His right hand was already raised as he tightened the muscles within it.
Adamantine Kata, Ironbreaker
The punch rushed towards Ohma, the punch could be seen and predicted by Ohma rather easily. Proven by Ohma forwarding his hand like a palm and catching the fist.
Redirection Kata, Weeping Willow
Twisting the flow of power via his fist, Izuku's body twisted and was sent into midair, his fist still trapped within Ohma's palm.
Izuku widened his eyes in surprise but calmed himself down. He had predicted that Ohma could take on his punch, it was a rather straightforward punch after all. That's why he was prepared for it.
Water Kata, Streaming River
Izuku's body turned lax and soft, flowing into the motion as he extended his leg.
Streaming River was an original technique that Izuku had created all on his own. It was still incomplete thanks to his partial mastery of The Water Kata. The technique involves relaxing his body when taking an attack and flowing into a reversal.
With a twist of his body, he sent a twisting kick towards Ohma's head while still airborne.
Ohma immediately raised his other arm to block the kick, letting go of Izuku's fist as his body slid back a little from the sheer force of the kick.
Izuku landed on the sand with a huff, sweat trailed down the side of his temple as he grinned at his master.
"How's that?!" Izuku asked with an excited grin.
Ohma returned the grin, "Pretty good, but let's see if you can keep it up." With that, the man rushed towards him.
Flame Kata, Flashfire
Izuku widened his eyes as he saw multiple after images flickering around Ohma as he rushed towards him.
He can't really be sure which is which. Even with his eyes, he couldn't be sure if he could even hit him.
He couldn't think anymore as immediately Ohma appeared before him.
The man punched him but he avoided it by sidestepping, however he didn't take into account the sudden sweep right outside of his vision. Unbalancing him and making him fall to the ground.
He would have to get back up but the fist before his eyes stopped him.
"You still need to be aware of your surroundings." Ohma advised as he relaxed his body, opening his fist into a lending hand.
"Damn," Izuku sighed as he grabbed Ohma's hand, letting the man lift him back up.
"You might have the Kengan, but you can't rely on it. A true fighter would be able to feel the attack coming and react properly, just seeing it won't be enough." Ohma reminds him.
The Kengan, that's what Ohma had called his eyes. Apparently, it's the name of the type of gift he has. His eyes allow him to have a very high kinetic vision which explains how he could 'see' and understand physical movements easily.
"I only know of two people that have similar eyes like yours and only one of them is a fighter. But even then he barely even needs it to fight. It could be useful figuring out the opponent's techniques and movement but by the end of the day you still need the skills to be able to fight them back."
"I know," Izuku sighed, "It's a bit hard though, all my life I've been relying on it whenever I'm in trouble. Breaking out of that habit is going to take some time getting used to." He had always used it to avoid getting hit by his bullies so it would be a while before he could remove his reliability on it.
Ohma smiled as he patted his pupil's back comfortingly, "Relax Izuku, it will take a while but you'll get used to it. Nothing worthwhile is ever easy."
Izuku smiled as he heard that, throughout the two months, Ohma had been nothing but supportive to him. Sure he has some rough edges but bit by bit Ohma was slowly replacing the broken pedestal that All Might used to fill.
Grrrrrrr
Both men blink in surprise as they look at each other, both of them slowly look down towards Izuku's stomach.
"Well someone's hungry," Ohma smiled, making Izuku smile in embarrassment. "Come on, get yourself dry up and put on a shirt, we're gonna get something to eat, my treat."
Izuku looked unsure at that even as he walked towards his bag to get some towels and deodorant to hide away the smell. "Are you sure about that? I can pay for my own food."
Ohma however waved it away, "No need, I got so much money that I don't even know what to do with it. Might as well spend it on you."
Izuku wiped away his body as he raised an eyebrow at that, "That reminds me, what do you do for a living? I've been meaning to ask but I've always forgotten about it." Izuku asked curiously.
"Oh me? I'm just an underground fighter, nothing much really." He answered much to Izuku's shock.
"An underground fighter?! Isn't that…..illegal?" Izuku hesitantly pointed out as he finished changing.
Ohma however shrugged, "Trust me kid, the type of underground practice that has existed long before quirks even existed. But it's best that I don't tell you too much, I don't really plan to introduce you to that side of the world anytime soon."
Izuku gulped a bit as he heard that, "Does that mean you plan to do so in the future?"
Ohma shrugged, "Who knows, maybe not. That place won't even affect you in the future. Though if you ever dig deep enough when you become a hero you might be able to find it. But in the end, it won't really matter to your training anyways."
Izuku calmed down a bit at that but his mind was still curious about the underground fights that his master had participated in. Just what kind of underground practice had survived for so long?
Another part of him also caught his word, he said when you become a hero. Not if, the way he spoke as if he was sure that he could be one. That level of faith in him could no never be found in anyone, not even his own mother.
Parts of his views towards Ohma might have changed slightly from the knowledge but part of him couldn't really care that much. Despite his indifferent look and attitude, Ohma was still a good person and he was the first to actually believe in him. That's already enough in his eyes.
Both master and student walked beside each other. Izuku merely followed Ohma along as they headed towards their destination.
"So where are we going?" Izuku asked curiously.
"Someplace I've been frequenting to. They got some good barbeques, you'd interested?"
"Hmmm, never really a fan of it but I guess I can try."
"You gonna need some more meat if you want to be strong, who knows maybe you could even get as big as me." Ohma joked.
"I don't think I could be as big as you," Izuku chuckled sheepishly.
"Not with that attitude."
Both of them make some small talk as they walk towards the establishment, just enjoying each other's presence as they talk and joke around with each other.
"Oh yeah, there's also a person I want you to meet. We'll be meeting her at the restaurant." Ohma suddenly remembered.
Izuku looked curious and asked, "Who will we be meeting sensei?"
"Someone special, she has a quirk that can help us speed up your training."
Izuku looked alarmed at that, "Is there something wrong?"
Ohma shook his head at that, "Nothing's wrong Izuku, but it's just something natural. Tell me, do you know what's conditioning for?"
Izuku looked confused at the question but answered it anyway, "It's to make my body stronger and tougher right?"
Ohma nodded at that, "If we wanna go with the simplest answer then yes, it's to make your body stronger. By constantly injuring and letting your body heal, it will start to get stronger naturally. Of course, such a process takes time and can't be bulldozed through. That's why I have you rest on weekends to let your body heal and rest." Ohma explained, making Izuku nod.
"So you're planning to speed up that process somehow?" Izuku asked, connecting the dots between the question and their earlier discussion.
Ohma nodded with a satisfied smile, "Yep. This person got some really good healing quirk that could make your body heal faster and in turn, stronger faster too. She saved my ass more times than I could count. We're meeting up with her to set up a schedule so we maximize your training properly."
Izuku nodded at that as he smiled, looking forward to meeting his master's friend. He wonders if she would be as strong as Ohma.
Both of them talked to each other as they made their way towards the restaurant, joking around with each other as they walked.
It didn't take long for them to reach the restaurant, both of them entering with a smile on their faces. The restaurant itself seemed rather simple, with wooden planks covering the walls with lamps hanging from the walls to brighten the place. Tables and chairs were placed neatly beside each other with enough space to walk around between them.
"Welcome!" One of the waitresses welcomed them as they entered, her eyes however widened when she saw Ohma entering along with Izuku. "Oh, Ohma! Welcome back! And I see you brought someone along with you." She said while smiling towards Izuku, who gave her a polite wave.
"Hey Aisha, can I have the same room as last time?" Ohma asked, drawing a curious look from Izuku.
The waitress, Aisha apparently, smiled sheepishly at that. "Sorry Ohma, I would give you that room but someone has already taken it."
Ohma looked surprised at that before realizing something, "Is it a blond woman? She wore glasses and probably wore a business suit. She's about this tall." He gestured with his hand reaching around his chest.
Aisha blinked at the description before nodding, "Yeah that's the one! Don't tell me you're the other person she was waiting for?"
Ohma nodded, "Yep, I called her here."
Aisha seemed to smile at that, "Well, I'll just give you the room then."
After some pleasantries between the two, both of them started catching up with each other while Izuku stood at the back while following them. He's not really sure if he's just seeing things but it seemed like Aisha was getting pretty close to his sensei.
'Is she hitting on him?!' He wondered as he listened closely.
"Say Ohma, what do you say about going to the theme park today after my shift? Could be fun?"
"I would love to, Aisha but I have things to do today, got a meeting with an old friend of mine."
"Then what about a reschedule? You tell me when you're free and I'll see if I can take some time off."
'She is!' Izuku realized in shock.
Izuku followed the two as they stepped up the stairs that lead to the second floor, watching his master…well masterfully evaded her invitations without offending her until he decided to vaguely promise he would consider going out with her.
"Well here's the room, you two have fun now, and don't be afraid to call when you're ready to order." Aisha smiled at them as they stood before a door. "Ohma, feel free to give me a call when you want to hang out."
"Thank Aisha, we'll see you around." Ohma smiled before opening the door slightly, letting her leave while Izuku followed him.
"You know it's not nice to lead her around like that." Izuku spoke up from behind.
"My love life is too complicated, I'm not even sure how to let her down properly honestly." Ohma sighed as they saw her walk down the stairs.
"It's not bad is it?" Izuku asked hesitantly.
"The first time I met my wife, she wanted to make babies with me." Ohma revealed as he opened the door, making him sputter in surprise.
"You're married?!" Izuku asked, shock can be heard clearly in his voice.
"Surprising, I know, right?" Another voice interrupted, this time coming from inside the room.
Izuku looked inside, seeing a rather beautiful woman sitting on the ground with a table right in front of her. The television at the front of the room was playing, signaling that it was used by the woman to pass the time.
The woman herself was rather beautiful, she wore a simple pink business suit with a white blouse underneath that barely contained her massive assets. She has blond hair that was put in a neat bun along with brown eyes and she also wore some glasses. If Izuku was being honest she looked like the embodiment of a secretary fetish.
"Kaede, sorry to keep you waiting." Ohma apologized as he sat down beside her. Izuku followed along as he sat across from them. "Also, what do you mean it's that surprising?" He asked somewhat offended.
"Be honest Ohma, even you don't see yourself getting married years ago but here we are." Kaede Akiyama flatly countered, making Ohma freeze in surprise before sighing in resignation.
"Can't say you're wrong."
Izuku looked between them in curiosity, a bit surprised with how close the two are.
"Is this the friend you wanted me to meet Ohma-sensei?" Izuku asked curiously, making both looks at him curiously.
"A friend?" Kaede asked while looking at Ohma pointedly, the man himself however seemed confused.
"Who says she was a friend?" Ohma asked.
Izuku looked surprised at that, "Eh, she's not?"
"Yeah, she's my wife."
"Eh?!" Izuku exclaimed while looking at Kaede in shock, "You mean she's the one that asked you for babies the first time you met?!"
Kaede looked confused at first before shaking her hands in denial, "No no no! You've got it all wrong!"
However the damage was already done, Izuku was already looking at her weirdly.
"You've got it all wrong! I'm telling you!"
After some more attempts to clear up the air, Ohma finally explained things properly.
"I have multiple wives."
The words confused Izuku, the verdette looking at his master in a new light as he heard that. "And they were all ok with this?" He asked while glancing towards Kaede, with the woman herself giving a wry smile.
"It took some time but we've made it work." Kaede assured him while holding Ohma's hand, both of them gripping each other's hands tightly.
"Honestly if it wasn't for Karla things might have gone for the worst." Ohma chuckled while remembering one of his other wives.
"She was always the most open-minded among us." Kaede chuckled along.
"I see." Izuku nodded, it seems like both of them had some troubles but they were able to make it work in the end. Some part of him was relieved to know his master wasn't some sort of womanizer.
Kaede on other hand was examining Izuku with subtle but critical eyes, she had seen many fighters, some of them of her husband's caliber and a few very small groups of people being even stronger than him. She could see that the boy before her was built very well and on his way to becoming another powerful fighter. Whether he would be able to stay that way or not would be the main question. Ohma's method of training was quite spartan in a few places but it does produce results.
But what captured her attention the most was how similar Izuku looked to Ohma. It's not like they're completely identical, but remove the green on the hair, the freckles, and some baby fat and he would look exactly like Ohma. The boy could pass off as his son and no one would bat an eye.
"So, she's the one with the healing quirk?" Izuku's question snapped Kaede from her musing.
"Ah, right. Kaede here has some really useful healing quirk. If it wasn't for her I would have been in a lot of trouble." Ohma admitted with a small smile.
Kaede sighed as she remembered how much trouble the man had caused. "I sincerely hope you don't pass on your ability to find trouble to the boy, just one of you is already enough to handle."
"Can't promise anything." Ohma countered with a shit-eating grin, making her sigh in defeat.
"So how would this work?" Izuku asked curiously.
"To make it simple, we'll be meeting up around the weekend. Friday or Monday if you can't make it. But during that time, Kaede will just spend her time healing you. Your body will get conditioned faster and the results gained will also be faster as well." Ohma explained.
Izuku however seemed a bit confused, "Why not do it every day? Won't that just make it easier for me?"
Kaede shook her head at that, "I can't do that, I have a lot of matters to deal with and I'm only free around the weekends. You don't really expect me to drop everything for you do you?"
Izuku widened his eyes at that and smiled sheepishly, "Ah that does make sense, sorry for assuming." Kaede merely waved it away with a small smile.
"Plus I get to spend time with her right after I finish dealing with you. The weekend is your rest day anyway so it's perfect for us." Ohma revealed, making Kaede look at him in surprise. "What's with the look? You did say you wanted to spend more time together." His words caused her to blush a bit.
"Ah you remembered, I thought you would be busy with Midoriya here instead so I didn't bother you about it," Kaede admitted, making Ohma shake his head.
"Of course not, plus the kid won't mind right?" Ohma asked Izuku, making him nod fervently.
"Of course not! Spending time with family is important after all! Besides, I can practice a few of the Katas myself if needed. I understood the basics, I just have trouble applying them." Izuku laughed sheepishly.
Kaede seemed surprised by his words, "That fast?" She asked Ohma.
The man nodded, "Kid is a quick learner that much I can give. He's quicker than me at his age anyway, he still sucked at Adamantine though." He snickered.
"Oh come on! Tightening the muscles and joints? Do you know how hard that is? It took me a couple of weeks to even tighten the muscles on my fist!" Izuku defended himself.
"Just shows how much you need to learn, it took me a week to figure it out when I was learning it." Ohma gave him a shit-eating grin.
"Didn't you just say I learned faster than you?!"
"In a few places, yeah, but you suck at Adamantine. Worse than me even." Ohma snickered, making Izuku whine in embarrassment.
Kaede looked between the two in a slight surprise before giggling to herself, it seemed like both of them were getting along just fine.

And done! Not much happened honestly but it was enough to at least settle down the difference between this fic and canon. The difference won't be as obvious but it will be as time goes on. This is a University AU and I'm planning to let that really show. So expect canon to be thrown into the blender. Some things might still happen but the context around the situation changed in other ways.
So Izuku is learning The Niko Style, it's pretty nifty in the Kengan series, and pairing it with MHA's Peak human performance would be pretty devastating. But as said before, there's still some extra stuff I haven't revealed yet.
The pairing of course would be multi, it's pretty much my go-to right now unless the series really doesn't allow it to be possible XD
Anyways, comment and review! See ya!
