Setting 1: Brox-Home 2 years later

[the beep of an alarm clock wakes Hailey]

[she groans and rolls over, holding a pillow over her head]

[Brox-Home knocks on her door and opens it]

Brox-Home: Good morning. Are you ready for school?

Hailey: Ugh…

Brox-Home: I made french toast.

[Hailey's antenna spring up before she answers]

Hailey: I'll be down in a minute.

Brox-Home: I'll let you get ready.

[he left and Hailey gets out of bed before stretching and getting on a t-shirt and shorts before playing with her watch, causing a disguise to pop up]

[she then goes downstairs and sits at the table and eating the meal]

Hailey: Mmm! Delicious as always!

Brox-Home: Thank you. I always make it the way you like it. [pause] Are you ready for the rest of senior year?

Hailey: Pfft. Of course! Why wouldn't I?

Brox-Home: Oh, no reason. Are you ready to go?

Hailey: [putting dishes into the dishwasher] Yep!

[they leave the house and get into the car]

Scene 2: High School

[the two get out of the car and Brox-Home messes with Hailey's disguise hair]

Brox-Home: Have a great day, kiddo.

Hailey: Brox-Hoooome!

Brox-Home: [chuckles] I'll see you in class.

[the two go their separate ways, Hailey going into the halls]

[Hailey sees Allee walking down the halls and blushes]

[she ducks through the crowd of other teens to make it to her literature class]

[she sits down and sighs in relief before the bell rings]

[students start shuffling in and Hailey notices that Allee just walks in]

[she chokes out a gasp and blushes harder, hiding her face with her textbook]

Brox-Home: Good morning class! Today we will be doing group discussions. So, get into groups of two.

[all the students quickly get into groups of two, Hailey frantically trying to get into a group]

[after all the shuffling is done, it seems like it's only Hailey and Allee left]

Allee: So… I guess we're a group then, huh?

Hailey: Y-Yeah.

[the two take a seat next to each other and start discussing the book they read this past week]

[soon, the bell rings]

Allee: Hey, do you want to have lunch with me? [blushing]

Hailey: [blushing more] Sure.

[they walk to the cafeteria, stealing glancing when the other is not looking]

[the two sit at a lunch table and are trying to avoid eye contact, blushing]

Setting 3: Brox-Home's office

[a knock at the door]

Brox-Home: Come in. [Hoolan in disguise walks in] Ah, Hoolan! How are you, my friend?

Hoolan: [sighs] Pretty good. The family is doing great.

Brox-Home: That's good. [pauses] May I get comfortable?

Hoolan: Of course! I was about to ask the same thing.

[the two of them remove their disguise's sighing]

Brox-Home: I'm glad I finally get my own office that I don't have to share.

Hoolan: Agreed. [the two pull out their lunches] So, how's Hailey adjusting to life on earth?

Brox-Home: She's actually doing pretty well here. Don't get me wrong, she still disappears to that trash planet in this solar system to find tinker materials. But, besides that, she stays here most of the time. She even has a crush now.

[Hoolan beams]

Hoolan: Oh really?

Brox-Home: Oops! I wasn't supposed to say that. Whatever you do, you didn't hear it from me.

Hoolan: [laughs] Don't worry, I won't interfere too much. Maybe push them in the right direction.

[the two chuckle over it like it's a joke]

[the bell that signals the end of lunch rings and Brox-Home sighs]

Brox-Home: Well, we can talk about this more tomorrow.

Hoolan: Agreed.

[the two make it back to their classroom as their next classes file into the classrooms]

Setting 4: Brox-Home's car

Brox-Home: So, how was your day?

Hailey: Oh, you know... the usual.

Brox-Home: What about that girl?

[Hailey's face bursts into a blush]

Hailey: W-well… I.. Uh… Was invited over for dinner.

Brox-Home: [excited] Really?! [Hailey nods, embarrassed] Oh, kiddo! I'm so proud of you! Do you need me to drop you off?

Hailey: Yes please.

Brox-Home: Alright! Where to?

[Hailey gives him directions and speaks up when she sees the house]

Hailey: That's the house.

[Brox-Home stops the car and Hailey gets out]

Brox-Home: Have fun kiddo!

[Hailey flashes him a nervous thumbs up before walking up and knocking on the door]

[Allee answers the door]

Allee: You came!

Hailey: Yep. I made it for dinner.

Allee: Come on in! [Hailey walks in and sees the parents sitting at the table already and gets more nervous. Just now realizing she's technically in a strangers house] Mom, Dad? This is Hailey. She's a friend from school.

Albert: Welcome.

June: Welcome! Have a seat, dear!

Hailey: Thank you.

[Hailey follows Allee to the table and sits]

Albert: So, how did you two meet?

Hailey: Oh, we met in literature class.

Setting 1: Brox-Home's base the next day.

[BH knocks on Hailey's room and opens the door]

Brox-Home: Hey, what are you doing tomorrow?

[Hailey lifts her goggles and stops working on her current project]

Haily: Hmmmm. Nothing much, why?

Brox-Home: Well, I was thinking of taking you on a trip to the zoo.

Hailey: [excited] Another opportunity to learn about this planet?! Yes please!

Brox-Home: Alright, we'll go tomorrow after noon when there aren't too many people so you can enjoy yourself.

Setting 2: Allie's House

[ (Albert) and June walk into the living room, where Allee is working along with a yoga video]

June: Allee, sweety. Do you have a minute?

[Allee pauses the video and stands up]

Allee: Yeah, what's up?

June: Well, your father and I were discussing tomorrow and we figured while your father is out on a business trip with Membrane this weekend, we could take a trip to the zoo. Just you and me. What do you say, sweety?

Allee: [genuinely excited] Seriously?! We can go to the zoo again?!

[June nodded, smiling and Alle fist pumped]

Setting 3: Zoo

[The two Hethcoats walked through the entrance]

Allee: I can't believe I'm here again! It's been years since we've been to the zoo! Thank you mom! You're the best!

June: You're welcome sweety. I'm glad you're already having a good time. What do you want to see first?

Allee: I want to see if the penguins are still here!

[Allee hops off in excitement with her mother following]

[Brox-Home and Hailey then walk through the entrance]

Brox-Home: Well, we're here. Where do you want to go first?

Hailey: I don't know. What's here?

Brox-Home: Well, [pulls out a map of the zoo] there are a lot of animals housed here.

[Hailey's eyes light up and she points at a point on the map]

Hailey: I want to go see the rhinos!

Brox-Home: [chuckles at her excitement] Alright, we'll go there first.

[As they're looking at the rhinos, Allee and her mom pass by in the background]

[They continue passing each other throughout the day]

Brox-Home: It looks like the only thing left is the petting zoo.

[Haily's head snaps around and she looks like she might explode of excitement]

Hailey: You can pet some of the animals?!

Brox-Home: [chuckles] Well, they're just farm animals, but yes, you're allowed to pet them.

Hailey: I want to go there! Let's go!

[Hailey sprints off, Brox-Home casually walking after her]

[Hailey stares at the animals behind the fence, gawking at how cute they were]

Brox-Home: [talking to the person at the entrance of the fence, handing them money] A bucket of feed please.

[Brox-Home hold the small bucket out to Hailey]

Hailey: I can feed them too?!

Brox-Home: Of course. That's part of the petting zoo.

[Hailey excitedly takes the bucket and hops over to one of the sheep, holding out a handful of feed]

[Allee excitedly gasped at the petting zoo]

Allee: They still have the petting zoo! Can we?!

June: Of course! [hands money to the person at the gate and gets two buckets of feed]

[Allee giggles as a duck takes some feed from her hand]

[Hailey, looks up at the laugh and gasps, blushing]

[Brox-Home notices and smiles]

[Hailey's attention was pulled away by a baby goat bumping her hand for a pet]

[She gushed over the little animal, petting it]

[Allee looked up at the other voice, blushing]

June: What are you staring at, honey?

[Allee blushed more, resuming feeding the animals]

Allee: N-nothing!

[June looked in the direction and sees Hailey and begins to smile]

June: Alright, sweety.

[after they're buckets are empty, they start heading towards the gift shop]

[throughout the store they're trying to sneakily look at the other, blushing]

[Brox-Home comes up with a plush rhino]

Brox-Home: Hey, Hailey. Look what I found.

Haily: [looks over and gasps, squealing in excitement] Oh my Wisest!

Brox-Home: [chuckles] Since you're so enamored with it, how about I get it for you?

[Haily looks like she's about to cry out of pure joy]

Hailey: Really? [he nods] Oh, thank you!

[Allee gushes at a plush penguin, then looks at the price tag, getting sad]

[June walks up to her]

June: What's wrong, sweety? [she sees the price tag] Oh, I'm sorry sweety. Here. [she looks through her purse for her wallet then checks how much money she has] Oh dear… Looks like I don't have enough either. [she puts a hand on her shoulder] I'm sorry, sweety.

Allee: Aw, that's ok mom. I'm just glad I got to have a day with you again after so long.

[they both smile and hug, starting to leave the gift shop]

[Hailey notices that they're leaving and looks at the plush she wanted and smiled in thought]

[the two go to the register and buy the rhino plush before heading home]

Setting 4: Brox-Home's Car

[Hailey is snuggling the plush, smiling]

Brox-Home: So, what did you think about the zoo?

Hailey: It was amazing! I didn't know Earth had so many species!

Brox-Home: Well, it is quite a large planet. Lots of flora, fauna, and people.

Hailey: It's fascinating.

Brox-Home: Speaking of people, I saw that that human caught your eye.

Hailey: [blushes madly] I-I don't know what you're talking about!

Brox-Home: Y'know, she goes to your highschool.

Hailey: Really?!

Brox-Home: Yep, she's even in one of the literature classes I teach.

Hailey: No way!

Brox-Home: Yeah. On Monday, you should talk to her.

Hailey: What are you talking about?! I can't do that!

Brox-Home: Why not?

Hailey: B-Because, I can't just go up to random humans and talk to them.

Brox-Home: Well, who knows. Maybe if you talk to her, you could become close.

[Hailey choked and shoved her face into her plush, blushing madly]

Hailey: Daaaaaad! Don't say stuff like that!

Brox-Home: [laughing] Did you just call me dad?

Hailey: [more embarrassed] Shut uuuuuup!

Brox-Home: [laughing harder]

Setting 5: Brox-Home's Abode

[Hailey zips up the stairs and starts working on something]

[after a while she steps back, admiring her handiwork]

[it is a large stuffed animal penguin]

Hailey: Perfect.
