At the crystal cave below the canterlot
Twilight was staring at crystal wall in front of her.
A few hours ago she was abandoned by her friends, her brother, her mentor, then she was confined by Cadence to confine her under this crystal cave and then in a desperate attempt to find a way out, she heard a voice coming from the crystal wall in front of her. And that wall just told her that it was the Crystal Of Death.
After staring for a while she asked in an uncertain tone "so you're a Crystal Of Death, but you're just a talking crystal wall, I think you're not a monster and this cave is your body, right? "
"Hmph ... You're so special" exclaimed the Crystal Of Death.
"what do you mean?" Twilight was surprised at the compliment.
"No one has ever heard of this name without fear. I thought when I said my name to you, you would be scared and run away thinking that I would kill you or thinking that I was a dark weapon trying to seduce you. And yes I am not a monster nor a wall. And if you look closely inside this wall you can see me" explained the Crystal Of Death.
Upon hearing that, Twilight brought his face closer to crystal wall and narrowed her eyes to make it look more inside the wall. And she saw inside the wall was a dark gray rhomboid crystal with a symbol in the middle of a silver scythe.
"Alright, so you are not a talking wall, and you say you are the one of the crystals created by the universe and responsible for protecting the balance of the universe. And your name is Crystal Of Death, but do you really kill someone? " asked Twilight suspiciously.
"The answer is yes and no" Crystal Of Death answered.
That answer confused Twilight, she asked "so... That yes or no?"
"As I said my existence is to protect the balance between life and death of the universe and I must destroy anything or anyone who threatens that balance. And one more thing, that I cannot kill someone directly, after all I am just a power created by the universe" Crystal Of Death explained.
Twilight was bewildered "I don't understand, if you don't do it then who will?"
"Of course it's my master. Those who are chosen will become my masters, they will have ultimate power of death and become Lord Of Death. They are responsible for using that power to protect the balance as well as destroy any threat to that balance. But I have a question, why don't you afraid of me?" Crystal Of Death asked.
Twilight escaped from her thought when asked. She was surprised that she was able to calm down as she listened to all that Crystal Of Death had just explained. Perhaps it was because she had gone through many battles with evil records to protect Equestria ... Or maybe she had nothing to lose, because she lost all her friends, her family, her mentor, all the things she was afraid of losing most.
"Perhaps because I have lost everything I was afraid of losing most now I am no longer afraid of losing anything. Even if you want to kill me now, I guess I won't mind" said Twilight sadly, tears starting to form in corners of her eyes.
"As I said I am just a power created by the universe I have no ability to kill any creature. And even if possible, I won't take anyone's life unless that person jeopardizes balance of the universe. However in that case I still won't kill you because you are my orthodox master" Crystal Of Death said.
Twilight was shocked at what Crystal Of Death just said to her. 'Is it because of a problem with my ears or is it true that Crystal Of Death just said that I am master of Crystal Of Death?'
Scared that she heard wrong, so she asked again "oh, uhm ... Maybe it was me hearing wrong, but did you really just tell me that i'm your master?"
"You didn't hear wrong Twilight master, you're really my rightful owner ... I think you've heard me call you that since we first met, don't you?" Crystal Of Death said.
Now Twilight remembers when she first heard voice of Crystal Of Death, at that time it said welcome master but because at that time she was too scared and bewildered to think of a monster in this cave, so she didn't notice it.

"That's right, but that was before I found you here. And it wasn't just me but also were four remaining crystals, when we were made our destiny to be associated with our orthodox master. every crystal we have only one orthodox master" Crystal Of Death stopped to see if Twilight had any questions.

When the crystal of death explained that Twilight was still silent, she was trying to absorb all the information Crystal Of Death had just told her. She finally ask "So what happened to your temporary master?"
"Even when they eradicate chaos in their world, they still have to keep the balance in the universe because it is part of the contract. Even so, they are not immortal, they only live a little longer than those around them and when the time come they will also have to go to samsara like the other people" Crytal Of Death explained.
Twilight is still in her thoughts on everything. 'Crytal Of Death just said that I am orthodox master of Crystal Of Death and that means I have a responsibility to protect the balance between life and death and at the same time I will have to destroy anyone who threaten that balance. And having to kill someone is something I've never done or even thought of when fighting with the enemies like Nightmare Moon or Discord before. '
Seeing her need time to think, Crystal Of Death said, "I know this offer is too sudden and unexpected for you and moreover because you are my orthodox master so you will become immortal when receiving power from me and that means you have responsible for protecting the balance between life and death forever and destroy those who threaten it. Can say my power to you like a gift of curse. So please think carefully before choosing whether to receive my power or not" said Crystal Of Death with seriousness and coldness.
