Naruto seeing as he needed to gather his material for fire arrows quickly as the day was soon going to come to an end, went all around taking down Striders and picking up some wood in order to make the fire arrows, as the sun pointed high up in the sky as it was noon, Naruto walked on a rugged road as he then walked past a man that seemed bruised up. "Hello, friend please come help me." the man stated as Naruto just looked at him. "You want to talk to an outcast?" he asked.

"I'm desperate for help, whatever the consequences." the man replied. "What's your name then?" the blond asked. "It's Thok."

"Okay Thok what seems to be the problem then?"

"My leg is a bit bruised but forget about me, my daughter Arana. She's in danger, she went after a Scrapper near Mother's Cradle, and I fear for her life. I can't even stand, let alone go on after her. Will you help me find her?"

"As much as I'd like to help you do know if the Matriarchs hear about this they might cast you out for speaking to an outcast, you sure you want to be shunned?"

"I don't care. I tried looking myself and my leg gave out. Just find her, I'll accept any punishment if it means she's safe!" the man declared as Naruto felt touched by what he said. 'What a selfless act.' the blond thought. "Why would your daughter fight a Scrapper on her own?"

"It's all my fault, I went after it first and it tore up my leg. I barely got away and left a spear impaled in the machine. that spear was from Edena my mate, who died last year. It's everything to Arana. She went after the Scrapper to get it back."

"So you said she went to Mother's Cradle, where exactly?"

"Southeast of the village, I forbid her from going but since her mother died, she's become impossible! Just look at me, I'm a widower that's a cripple a father that can't find her daughter. Please help me set things right." he begged. "I'll help you out sir, you can just count on it, I'll bring your daughter back to you, I promise." the man just smiled in relief hearing that. "I thank you. But please make sure she's all right." the blond nodded.

Without wasting time Naruto sprinted straight for Mother's Cradle, going to the southeast side of the village, Naruto saw a figure standing on top of a post that was built on a tree. 'That must be the girl' the blond thought as he noticed the machines patrolling the base of the tree. "Just great." Naruto thought as he just walked into some tall grass as he turned on his focus. He counted four watchers and they all seemed to be in patrol mode. "Somebody please help me! I'm stuck up here!" Arana called out. As one of the watcher strolled close to the tall grass that occupied Naruto the blond silently stricked it down as he was noticed by a watcher. Quickly notching an arrow onto his bow Naruto shot down the watcher as the arrow embedded the yellow eye of the machine. "Yeah get rid of them, please!" Arana called out, Naruto looking up to the post noticed that the girl had seen him. "Just sit tight." Naruto called out as he shot down another watcher that was coming to investigate the execution of it's two allies.

The last watcher out of know where turned red as it had found Naruto's location his blond hair had stuck out like a sore thumb. 'Darn it! Move!' he thought as the machine channeled a ball of energy as it shot at him, quickly dodging the attack Naruto notched an arrow and before he could shoot the machine rushed at him and tried to tail whip him. Luckily Naruto rolled out of the way as he had to take the arrow and stick it into the eye of the machine. "Hew." Naruto muttered as the machine shut down. "It's safe to come down now." Naruto told the girl as he looted all the machines while she took her time to get down the post.

"Thanks for saving me from those machines." Arana thanked the blond who just smiled. "It was nothing." he replied. "Thank you I thought those Watchers were going to tear me apart."

"Well they wouldn't have torn you apart, maybe blast your face off your head or stomp you to death, but tear you apart they wouldn't do that." the girl looked horrified after hearing that. "Oh sorry did I scare you my bad, it's just something my dad told me. Speaking of dad, your father sent me to find you, he said I should tell you to come back to him."

"I figured. But I can't go back until I get my mother's spear from that Scrapper!" she protested. "I guess the spear means that much to you doesn't it?"

"My mother made it before she dies. I can't believe my father lost it!"

"You should cut your father a break, Arana. He's an old man that had to deal with a scrapper and might I add Scrappers a dangerous and quick. They can easily kill a huntress if they aren't careful and your father he's no longer in his youth so he was one of the lucky one's that survived an attack from a scrapper."

"I know that he's old, but I can't stand the fact the spear's gone forever!"

"Look your father's just worried for your safety."

"Safety? He get's worried if I go ten steps to relieve myself in the bushes!"

"Yeah I mean there are snakes around the Embrace." Naruto tried to defend the man. "We live in the snow region of the Embrace!" she back fired. "Oh, then I guess he just he doesn't want to lose you, Arana."

"I know but I wish he wouldn't yell at me so much!"

"Well that's just how father's are. Even my dad likes to do that to me but I guess that's just how they show their love you know. Like how a bird protects it's young from predators they don't want us to get hurt."

"I guess."

"Well can you explain to me how you winded up in the tree?"

"Well I tracked the Scrapper to Mither's Cradle. I caught a glimpse of it too, but then a Watcher saw me and it called his pack."

"So you decided to go up the tree for safety." Arana nodded. "By All-Mother I'm not a good enough hunter to get my spear back, am I?"

"Don't worry about it I was also in your shoes once, I was so bad at this that one time I accidentally threw my spear into the body of a Strider, the machine was still moving and when I got home, my father had me chase the machine all day long, I only retrieved it during the night and at that time I was only seven."

"Really?!"

"Yeah, but the more I practised the better I got and now I can throw a spear and have a chance to taking down a strider. You just need to continue training and you'll become a hell of a huntress."

"You really think so?"

"I know so," Naruto smiled as the girl had a tint of red. "Why thank you."

"It's nothing, I'll go look for your spear." out of nowhere the girl just rushed Naruto as she brought him into a hug. "You will? Why thank you!" she stated as she tightened her hands around his neck. "Oh it's nothing." Naruto replied as the hug broke. "Just go find your father, he ended up hurting his leg a bit too much while he went out searching for you. He's just south of Mother's Heart. Follow the path and you'll see him."

"Oh no! I should go right now before the machines find him. Thanks again..."

"Naruto." he told her his name. "Yes, thank you Naruto, be safe." like that the girl left. Naruto using his focus followed Arana trail which she left and when it ended the focus picked up some recent activity from a machine on the path. "The trail ends here but the Scrapper's tracks can be followed." Naruto muttered. Following the tracks, Naruto crossed a river, travelled into the snowy regions of the Embrace only to find the machine with it's own pack. it was a mixture of scrappers and watchers. With some serious stealth Naruto took down the machines one by one till only the scrapper with the spear remained.

"It's just you and me now." Naruto muttered to himself as the scrapper noticed him. With it's eyes turning red the scrapper lunged at the blond with it's claw raised as it tried to cut off his to the left, Naruto lunged his spear forward as it struck the scrapper's face, with another strike Naruto hit the hide of the scrapper as it took out it's cannon. "Uh oh." Naruto called out as he ran for cover. "The scrapper released it's shots as the blond ducked into cover behind a rock. "This is why I hate scrappers!" he shouted as the barrages of shots stopped imbrumbtly. Naruto peaking from cover was shocked to not see the scrapper. 'Where the hell did it go?' he thought as just then behind him he heard a rock being broken looking behind he saw the scrapper and it just lunged at him with it's mouth agape. Naruto with his spear just quickly held the scrapper back. The scrapper tried to maul Naruto face but the blond moved his face down into the snow that he just staired the scrapper straight in it's face, with a quick lock naruto saw a big rock just close by. Grabbing it Naruto hit the scrapper's head as he had enough room to stand up and run back to create some space.

The scrapper threw his spear by the side as it looked him in the eye. "Bring it on!" Naruto shouted as he notced an arrow. The scrapper purred as it rushed him, the moment it jumped into the air to attack him. Naruto hit it's power core on it's back as it just fell down with no more power. Sighing with relief Naruto just looked at the carcass of the scrapper. "I...hate...scrappers," Naruto muttered as he took out the spear, but not before he saw some blood coming from his arm.

'What the? Did I get hit?' quickly checking his right arm Naruto's attention was caught by the three deep claw cuts that were on his arm. When the adrenaline was all gone the blond began to feel the pain. "Aww! Damn it! This is why I hate these machines!" he complained as now he had to clean his wound. Taking out some a cloth, Naruto whipped the blood away, as he quickly took out some a piece of an aloe vera, rubbing the plant's gel around his wound. The blond had to shut his mouth as the excrutiating pain was felt. Wrapping himself with another cloth the blond just sighed.

"Just another day dealing with a scrapper." he continued to complain about the machine. After looting the machines and getting his spear back, the blond left the snowy region, as he returned to Arana and her father with her mother's spear. "Hey guys, I found your spear." Naruto stated as Thok looked happy. "First you send Arana back to me and now you've returned with the spear. When I first called you for help I didn't even know if you'd speak to me, I'm so glad you did." Thok thanked the blond.

"Me too, I can't believe you got the spear back." Arana added. "Well I gotta say your mother sure knew how to craft them, this spear's really exceptional." Naruto said. "I'll never be the crafter she was, but she did pass along a few tricks. I'd be happy to take a look at your spear."

"Really?"

"It's the least I could do, to repay you."

"Well thanks. I'm really sorry for your loss, your mother sounds like a great person that was deaply special to the both of you."

"She was." Thok added. "Well atleast because of you Naruto, I still have the spear to remember her by. You didn't have to help us, but you did. She would have admired it. Thank you Naruto. For everything." the blond just smiled as he rubbed the back of his head. "Aww, you're making me feel all fuzzy inside." Naruto said as the father and daugher just laughed. Spending a couple minutes, Thok did his thing and when he was done he gave Naruto the spear back. "Well I hope you both get home safe. Farewell." the blond called out as the father and daughter bid him well.
