Chap 11: Ancient ruins
in the Everfree Forest
Ever since she left Ponyville and into this forest had been thirty minutes. if it's her before, she would surely be scared and tremble at the scary of the Everfree Forest. However, she's no longer Twilight Sparkle, faithful student of Princess Celestia, or Element Of Magic ... Now, she is Lord Of Death, who keep balances between life and death. Her existence is fear of those who threaten the balance.
'Huh ... I guess I went into the depths of forest ... But so far It haven't had any monsters in the forest appearing and threatening me ... Could it be ... They ... Scare me?' Twilight thought uncertainly. Because as far as she knows of Everfree Forest, it is home of creepy creatures like Manticore, Timber wolf, Creatures, Hydra ... And they will attack and eat any creature that invades territory of them. But ... Ever since she entered the Everfree Forest until now, there haven't any creatures appearing to attack her ... It was as if entire forest was scared of her presence.
'Of course, master. Although creatures in this forest do not know you are Lord Of Death, they can still feel overwhelming power from you. And because you have not been able to fully control your power, as well as how to hide your power, so other creatures can still sense and be threatened by that power.' says Death.
'Death? ... Can I ask you something?' Twilight asked.

'But anything has its price, and price of those ultimate powers is solitary and eternal emptiness, and things they have to do to protect balance of the universe. Like they have to destroy a world that has lost its balance, or they will have to kill anyone who threaten that balance ... Even if it is their family, or... Their lover. Those who possess our power will suffer such things as a curse ... Especially our Eternal Masters.' Death explained.
Twilight kept walking while listening to Death's explanation. 'I can understand that ... But, what do you mean they have to destroy unbalanced worlds? Why must we do so? Don't we just have to destroy those who are causing the imbalance? Why destroy it? 'Twilight asked.
'As I said before. Masters are tasked with keeping the universe balanced, and they must destroy anything or anyone who threatens that balance. And the reason they have to do it, is that if they don't, then the imbalance will create destructive black holes, they will swallow the whole universe and destroy it. When a world is out of balance, black holes will be created, they can be small at first, but if we do nothing, they will gradually swallow that world and get bigger. Until they eat all that world, they will roam to other parallel worlds and devour them until the whole universe is swallowed up and destroyed by it' Death explained.
Twilight fell silent and listened to Death's explanation, surrounded by no sound except her footsteps. Before she met Death and became Lord Of Death, she had never known existence of parallel worlds as well as those who defended the balance of the universe. All she knew was to make friends, rescue Equestria and please her mentor. However, now that she knows that not everything can be solved with friendship and Element Of Harmony, sometimes cruelty is needed to protect something biger. And now she understood why the power she possessed was called the "gift of the curse" and she also understood why owners of Crystals had lost their emotions, that was to Certainly, their feelings cannot affect their judgment.
'I want to ask one more thing. What do you mean Crystals Of Darkness mean? How many Crystal Of Balance?' Twilight asked.
'Yes my master, there are a total of five Crystal Of Balance created in the universe, that is I Crystal Of Death, the ultimate power of death, Crystal Of Life, the ultimate power of life, Crystal Of Reborn power the power of rebirth, Crystal Of Destroy the power of destruction, and finally Crystal Of Space-Time the power of Space-Time. Of which Crystal Of Death and Crystal Of Destroy belong to darkness, Crystal Of Life and Crystal Of Reborn are light systems and Crystal Of Space-Time is neutral, it is neither darkness nor light. '
'And of course darkness is always more suitable for destruction than light so owners of Light Crystals only need to look after life and regenerate it. owners of Dark Crystals will be responsible for destroying anythings that threaten the balance. owners of Crystal Of Space-Time only keep the balance between timeline and spaces, they must eliminate those who break the rules of Space-Time, but they do not have to destroy the unbalanced worlds. '
'But apart from the Crystal Of Balance, there are two other elements that exist longer than us, that is Dark and Light. And they are not the same Crystal as us, they are the souls of darkness and light, they existed since the creation of the universe, at that time there was no life, death, destruction, rebirths, time lines and Space, at which time the universe does not exist anything but darkness and light. Twilight was truly impressed with what she was told about those who defended balance of the universe.
'So have any of you met Spirit Of Light and Spirit Of Darkness?' Twilight asked. She wanted to know more about these two special spirit.

Now in front of her is an ancient pyramid-shaped relic, with a large door leading into the ancient ruins. Above the door are ancient letters, and vines cover the door of ancient pyramid.
