"What does that mean?"

"It means; peace. This is the only time I get to see you… why your book is still on my head. I don't even care about Melody anymore, it's been nearly a month, a month of thinking, and listening to you talk and mutter."

"What about it?"

"Some guys have cheesy pickup lines, where they say they could listen to a girl talk for hours, nobody truly wants that, how they say that… but I've done it and I think I understand it."

"Why is this the only time you get to see me, you know that's not true."

"It's the only time I get you to myself."

"You want me all to yourself," she flipped through a few pages.

"Is that a problem?"

"Depends on what you mean."

"I want what nobody else gets."

"Oh."

"Is it too late?"

"Is what too late… stop being so cryptic."

"Did I miss the chance to be yours?"

He sat up, her book slid from his head, to the ground with a thunk, she looked down at him.

"You haven't tried."

Linus rested a hand on her cheek, half expected her to pull away, but she didn't, he pulled her closer, she didn't resist, his lips touched hers, she didn't flinch, when the kiss finally ended, her eyes stayed closed until his touch went away.

"I want to be yours, I know I don't deserve you." He whispered.

"I want to be yours… I love you," she leaned in and kissed him again.

"I love you, too."

Charlie and Pay have been an official couple in the school, out and proud, Pat decided to try and help with the Linus and Sally situation, going with Charlie and Lucy, suggesting they get them out of the house. Pat had them to agree to meet them at the taco place.

"So what are we doing, giving them the 'ol tough love technique," Pat asked.

"No, we're just going to talk to them… get some answers," Charlie answered.

"Then try and find a compromise," Lucy added.

"Oh, okay, and if that doesn't work; then the tough love?"

"Good grief!"

"That's your boyfriend, Charlie Brown."

"Impulsive as always," he kissed Pat.

"Both of you love it!"

"Yes," Lucy sighed, "it's often a redeeming quality."

The three of them looked up when the door opened.

"After you, Sal," he held the door open.

"Thank you, sweetie," she walked in.

"What tha… hell…," Pat watched.

"Charlie, did you see that‽"

"Is your brother okay…?"

"Are you guys okay," Linus held Sally from behind.

"They look like they just saw a ghost."

Once the taco and burrito platter was there; Charlie and Linus got everybody's drinks, Sally started off the conversation.

"I get why you wanted to talk to us- you both were worried, and I was worried."

"The situation gave me a chance to see Sally for who she really was, without being blinded by what I thought the reality was. Charlie, I love your sister."

"So basically the both of you just got to know each other," Pat asked.

"There's so much about Sally I didn't realize. I was just hung up on that little kid, she used to be."

"This feels so one-sided," Lucy said.

"I always loved Linus, I knew he was my guy… he's often just as hard-headed as you," she smiled.

"So you're actually wanting to date my sister," Charlie looked concerned.

"She's a great girl, balances me out."

"He keeps me grounded."

"Do I have your blessing, Charlie?"

"My blessing," he raised an eyebrow.

"Do I get your blessing, Lucy?"

"Girls don't ask for blessings, stupi- yeah… you have my blessing."

"And my blessing as well, Mr. Van Pelt," Charlie agreed in a poor imitation of Mario Puzo in Godfather.

"I guess this makes it a double date, huh, Chuck?"

"I am not being a fifth wheel in this date," she huffed.

"We were worried, they resolved the issue themselves… in the best outcome, the least we can do is celebrate the new couple," Charlie explained.

"I guess you're right… I'm happy for you two."

"Of course he's right! This is going to knock everybody's socks off," Pat exclaimed.

Everybody was indeed surprised to see Sally and Linus were dating, the girls were happy Sally finally got her guy, when Linus announced it at lunch.

"You finally fell for her womanly wiles," Frieda laughed.

"I know… I know, and I haven't been happier."

"Same! Me and Chuck have gotten so close, I wish we had gotten together earlier."

"I do too, actually, now that we're actually dating… I was such a blockhead," Charlie agreed.

"I remember when Linus was a little kid, he actually had a crush on Sally," Lucy teased.

"Oh yeaaah… I remember that," Charlie laughed.

"I guess I had lost my way," Linus laughed.

"Or you were lying to yourself, this whole time," Lamar said.

"Has any new guy caught your eye, yet, Lucy," Schroder asked.

"No, not yet, and I don't even know what boy would put up with me," she dismissed the idea.

"You're not as bad as you used to be… and if you ever want to play for the other team," Frieda winked.

"Frieda! Are you…," Schroder gasped.

She nodded, "Sure I actually do have lgbt family, but I was trying to save myself from her. I don't think having a close queer friend is going to change anything."

"We'll have your back, believe it," Lamar said.

"Secrets safe with us," Marcie said.

Hours after school Linus and Sally are watching a movie at his house, she laid in his lap, while he played with her hair, with one hand, while she held the other one, Lucy watched the both of them, before walking out the door, getting a smile from both of them, before she left.

Schroder and Lamar are at Schroders house playing music, while typically he would be playing Beethoven, which Lamar plays with him, using a guitar, much like Charlie did years ago, he's managed to get him to play other genres along with him. Lucy walked past, catching them briefly in the window.

On the other side of town; Franklin and Marcie were reading manga together at his house, after Pat left their study group early. Marcie had cuddled up next to him, a radio played soft rock in the background, out of the corner of his eye, he saw Marcie watching, he turned to speak, and she quickly kissed him on the lips. After making out, Franklin pointed to the time on his phone.

At the big old tree in the park between the neighborhoods, Charlie and Pat lay at the bottom chatting, watching the sunset, as night creeps across the sky, enjoying how quiet it is. Pat was about to kiss him, until he noticed something streaking across the sky, sat up, pointed, Charlie's eyes followed the tail end of a meteor towards two people walking up; Marcie and Franklin plopped down, holding hands, nearby. Charlie smiled and pointed, Pat started to yell at the sight of Franklin and Marcie kissing, before he grabbed his face and kissed him, quickly silencing Pat.

Moments later; more meteors started to streak across the sky, catching the two couples by surprise. Quiet music then caught their attention, it grew slightly louder; Lamar and Schroder approached, Lamar was playing his guitar, they watched the sky, sat down nearby, Pat tossed a pebble at them, pointed to Marcie sitting in Franklins lap, getting two big smiles in return. Charlie wished he had brought his guitar.

It wasn't hard to miss Linus and Sally coming up; she was talking about the meteor shower, cheerfully waving at everybody else. Charlie and Linus exchanged glances, before the latter rolled his eyes, Charlie just chuckled. She whispered something to him, he leaned back, giving Marcie and Franklin a once over, giving her a big grin. Schroder gasped, and Lamar missed a few chords, when he looked up, catching everybody else's attention. Lucy walked up with Frieda, glanced at everybody, Schroder gave her a thumbs up, so did Pat. Frieda tugged at her hand, to get her to sit down, reassuring her it was okay, stroking her hair.

They were all grouped together, watching the meteor shower, there was so many of them, like a rainstorm. Schroder wrapped an arm around Lamar, rested his head on his shoulder. Sally sat in front of Linus, like Marcie, and he held her close. Lucy and Frieda just sat next to each other, with their hands entwined. Charlie and Pat are nuzzled together, before something tapped his leg, Lamar mouthed "your turn," handing him his guitar, quickly kissing Schroder, when Charlie grabbed it. They were all just lost in the moment.

"I feel like this is a good sign for things to come, aa long as we keep trying, and doing what we're doing; everything will be okay," Charlie said.

"That's the spirit, I love you," Pat kissed him.

"I love you, too."
