Jane was walking home from her last class of the day. Autumn was forming a mist which created some mysterious and somehow creepy scenery. Her long fingers fumbled with the zipper of her coat as she tried to pull the collar higher. Despite the dampness that was threatening to seep through her clothes and make her feel colder than she already was, she walked slowly.

This was due to her tiredness. Long hours at the burger joint to earn the money needed to keep her head above the water financial wise forced her to stay up long to do her homework. She couldn't remember when she had last slept more than three hours a night and sighed.

So far, she hadn't doubted her decision to go to BCU, but it definitely started to crumble now as she felt weak and exhausted. Her eyes watched a fancy Jaguar sports car appear down the street, making its way towards her. One of these rich kids who never had to worry about money or anything and probably spent most of their time partying she mused feeling angry.

This was the last thought and thing she remembered before waking up in the softest sheets her skin had ever been in contact with. She blinked once or maybe twice before her eyes were able to focus onto her surroundings. This wasn't her room, and this king size bed was definitely not hers.

What the hell had happened? She wondered. All sorts of things tumble through her mind. Maybe she had gotten drunk and…. She anxiously lifted the covers to find herself half-naked and groaned. "No, I wouldn't do that." She mumbled, hoping that she hadn't. she shot a scared glance towards the bedroom door which was closed.

Never in her life had she gotten so drunk that she had awoken half naked in a stranger's bed. she searched her memory but couldn't remember one thing that had led her here. Maybe she had gotten drugged she mused, again staring to the bedroom door, because she now heard the distinctive noises of someone moving around in the apartment.

Her body stiffened and she started frantically looking for her clothes. To her shock they were nowhere to be seen. And where the hell was her phone? An eerie feeling of having been drugged and abducted almost caused a panic attack in her. But she didn't allow herself to freeze. Its fight or flight she remembered the words of her psychology teacher and shuddered.

Seeing as to fleeing was seemingly impossible, she braced herself to fight. Her eyes wandered around the bright room to find a suitable weapon, but she couldn't find any. Except for maybe the lamp on the bedside table. Sitting up quickly when footsteps were approaching her room, she grabbed for the lamp and got ready to throw it.

She expected a tall guy, maybe muscular who wanted to harm her and was therefore more than surprised when a petite blonde with an angel face walked into the room. "OH hi." The blonde stuttered, clearly not expecting Jane to be awake. The brunette was ready to throw the lamp when she saw the petite flinch.

"Please don't! This lamp has cost me 3000 Dollars!" she shrieked, and Jane raised an eyebrow while her jaw dropped. But she recovered quickly and grunted. "Who are you? Why am I half naked?" she demanded to the petite who was now waking towards her. She was still pondering the question whether to throw the lamp or not when the blonde sat to the edge of the bed right next to her.

The petite cautiously took the lamp out of Janes hand and placed it to where it belonged, giving Jane a shy smile. "How are you feeling?" she asked in a soft tone. Jane grunted again, suddenly aware of the throbbing headache and the pain in her wrist. When she looked down, she saw that said body part was properly bandaged.

What the hell was this? The famous movie Misery suddenly came to her mind and she gave the blonde a suspicious glance. "Where is my phone? Where are my clothes?" she asked in a harsh tone. The petite gave her an apologetic smile which only reminded her more of Kathy Bates.

"Your clothes are not here." The petite pointed out the obvious. Jane tried to hide her shudder. "I can see that." She tried to sound annoyed but failed. Jane Rizzoli was very aware of the fact, that she was scared shitless.

The blonde studied her while biting her lips. "Do you remember what happened?" she asked sounding cautious. Jane now narrowed her eyes to slits. "No. and even if I could, I would tell no one if you let me go." She stated while keeping her eyes on the petite whose eyes widened. Wrong move she thought when seeing the blonde's reaction.

"You were walking down the pavement when you suddenly stumbled and fell in front of my car." The petite said, sounding scared. "I'm a doctor, I thought the best thing would be to bring you to my place and take care of you."

There were to things that stood out to Jane in this sentence. One, the woman wasn't much older than her, so how could she be a doctor already. And two, why not take her to a hospital. She began to remember that she had indeed been on the pavement, walking home and feeling exhausted.

But she didn't remember anything else. The fact that the blonde was her age and couldn't be a doctor made her suspicion grow, that this was indeed some kind of abduction. "Oh, that's a nice story, but why didn't you take me to the hospital?" Jane challenged the woman who remained calm, almost indifferent. She looked confused at the most if Jane was playing devil's advocate.

"Because you begged me not to do so. You said that your insurance wouldn't cover it. When I offered to pay you refused. Calling me some really ugly names by the way." The petite replied, sounding hurt. "I'm not a rich, spoiled brat – just to clear that up." The petite said and Jane thought that the girl sounded annoyed.

The fact that she was probably being held hostage didn't keep her from retorting: "hellooo? You're driving a jaguar sports car. If this isn't spoiled, I don't know what is."

The blondes' eyes expressed some anger now. "It's not my fault, that my parents decided to give me that car when I asked for one!" she spat in an offended tone. "Oh, your parents. I see. But you did ask them for a car!" Jane started yelling. Who was this girl trying to fool? It was time to teach her that she had grabbed the wrong person for whatever sick game she was playing.

"Yes, a simple student's car." The girl yelled back.

Jane who had enough tried to stand up but immediately felt some vertigo which made her sit down again. "What do you think you're doing?" the blonde sounded still angry. Jane rubbed her temples. "Leaving!" she mumbled, and the petite shook her head.

"Maybe have some breakfast first. I already prepared a little something for you." She said, sounding cooler and worried now. The first thing that came to Jane's mind was, that this girl was going to poison her again. She wasn't going to let this happen.

"No, I'm totally fine. Trust me. Just give me my clothes and I'll leave. My mother and brother will be worried sick if I didn't come home last night."

"Oh, I talked to your mother on the phone and told her that you stayed with me. Besides, it wasn't yesterday but the day before yesterday." She corrected Jane wistfully.

Jane was ready to grab for the lamp again when another rush of vertigo tortured her. She groaned and let her upper body back onto the mattress. Just for a few minutes she thought feeling the need to relax.

As she closed her eyes, she felt the mattress shift – sign that the blonde had gotten up. "I'm going to take a shower. Please rest. Im going to bring you your breakfast afterwards." Jane lifted a tired eyelid to see the girl disappear into the bathroom. She felt sore as hell but saw her chance to flee.

When the bathroom door was closed and the spray of water audible she turned to her side to study the room. There were three doors: one leading out of the room, one leading into the bathroom and with luck…

Jane slowly stood, careful because of her earlier vertigo attack and then slowly walked to the third door. Her hopes were fulfilled when she saw that it led into a walk-in wardrobe. There wasn't much time to get annoyed about the fact that said wardrobe only contained elegant skirts, dresses and blouses.

She didn't really bother to choose and fetched whatever looked as if it could match her size or at least came closest to her size. Hearing the water being turned off she quickly snatched everything and ran out of the door into a long corridor. Despite her hurry she noticed that the entire apartment was elegantly furnished and decorated.

It only fed her anger about the kids of rich parents, and she decided to dwell over it later. Thankfully the key was in the lock and when she turned it, she was able to open the door and rush out of the apartment.

She could hear the girl calling her name: "Jane? Jane? Where are you?" How the hell did she know Jane's name? Then it occurred to the brunette that she hadn't only left her clothes but also her mobile and her backpack behind.

Not caring because running for her life she followed the signs to the staircase. But instead of running down she ran up. This crazy girl would never think to look there, and it would give her time to get dressed. Still half-naked with the strangers' clothes in hand she stopped abruptly when she heard a door open to the staircase. Then she held her breath as she heard the girls voice again: "Jane? You shouldn't leave. This is highly unreasonable. You could catch pneumonia or faint."

Jane stood in total silence as she heard footsteps going down the steps. When she heard another door open and close further downstairs, she waited a few more minutes to make sure that the girl had really left before slipping into a dress that barely covered her body. Feeling like a hooker in the tight dress she remembered watching Pretty woman recently.

This seemed to be a never-ending nightmare. At least that's what it felt for her. Unlike in the movie she was alone. There wouldn't be a Richard Gere riding up in a shiny limousine to save her. Not that she was particularly interested in Richard Gere. She wouldn't mind being saved by Meg Ryan though. Another breath caught in her lungs. Not a good thread to follow either she thought. No, she wasn't gay. She couldn't be… Anyways, this wasn't the time. She needed to get out somehow.

Making sure that the stairway was clear of this crazy person, she began to descend until she reached the ground floor. It took her a few more minutes to find the exit doors and opened them in a rush, finding herself on the pavement of a posh apartment complex.

The sun was shining bright and was blinding her. What if she had a concussion? Feeling dizzy and nauseous she stumbled down the pavement towards the sound of a busy street. The highlight of her day arrived when a man in a white Mercedes pulled down his windows and asked, "How much?"

What the hell was wrong with this world Jane wondered as she told him to fuck off, using exactly these words. She tried not to imagine what would have happened if she hadn't found the dress and walked around half-naked.

They would have probably brought her to a mental asylum or so. She rolled her eyes, glad to have finally found a bus stop with a direct line to her home district. Now she could only hope that she had stolen enough money for a ride home. She took the bills out of her bra, ignoring the looks from the other people waiting for the bus and counted. The money almost fell out of her hand, when she realized that what she had thought to be 1 Dollar bills were in reality 100 Doller bills. OMG! She had stolen almost 1000 Dollars!

The bus arrived and pulled her out of her thoughts, and she automatically boarded it, paying for her fare. Well, the girl had it coming, right? She tried to tame her racing heart. Going back and giving the money back was definitely out of question.

Maybe another day. She could place it into an envelope and throw it into the mailbox. But how would she know which mailbox. She didn't even have a clue as to the name of the stranger. Great, now im a thief too, and she has my name from the textbooks. This is going to land me a nice spot in jail she mumbled.

She could see in the eyes of the woman sitting on the opposite side of the corridor that she thought that Jane had lost her mind. Well, wouldn't be surprising as to her outfit and her talking to herself. Jane shook her head and tried to remain silent for the rest of the ride.

Not knowing what time, it was she glanced at the sun. Must be almost lunchtime she mused. That was good because this meant that her brothers were still at school and her parents still at work. She needed a shower and decent clothing. Then she needed to assess the state she was in and probably another nap.

A sudden tiredness overcame her when she made her way to her bedroom. So, instead of taking the planned shower she simply dropped onto the bed and closed her eyes, forgetting about the dress and everything.
