Goku's love
Yet another one of Bulma's valentine parties and already I want to leave. I didn't even get two steps into the main room before the sight of the decorations make me want to turn away. Like every year I go to a corner by the food table and just watch my friends and family interact. Even Vegeta seems to enjoy the festivities.
I was down my 3rd cupcake when Bulma decided to stand next to me. "So how are things with the misses?"
I swallow the last of the cupcake before I spoke. "The usual. We recently had a picnic near a volcano. Not to mention, we even had a little spar before coming here."
The face of disappointment was not missed on her as she looked back to my wife. "You two are so boring. Especially you." Without missing a beat, I asked her how come. "I don't know. You had always been the odd ball of the group." At that we both let out a chuckle. "I would had expected you to at least talk about how interesting your love life is with Chichi."
And there was the true reason I hated coming on valentine. What was her business with what me and my wife do in our marriage? I don't question her relationships with Dente knows how many people. "I told you before, I'm simple. At that, we do what most couples do and communicate." From the corner of my eye, I could see Chichi and Kookie laughing and hugging, and couldn't help smile.
"I still don't get how you let your wife have a girlfriend?"
"I told you. We communicate. It's just like me and Vegeta." She looked at me in shock. "What? We hang out, are very open with each other. And if things lead to other things, he knows where I stand and I know his boundaries. Plus, I don't get why you're always surprised that your husband is Bi. You already knew we were dating."
"That's not what surprises me."
"Then what does?"
"What surprises me is how you slept around with almost—" At that I covered her mouth with a finger.
"I don't sleep around, like somebody I know. At most, our relations are very platonic and I love everyone and everything. For someone who knew me since I was 12, I thought you would have known I have a big heart."
After I removed my finger, she shook her head and walked away. I didn't get a chance to grab another cupcake before Vegeta showed up. "She did it again?" I simply nodded and grabbed a cup of punch instead. "I still don't get why that woman likes being in people's business."
"I don't know either."
"So…" I looked down to Vegeta and he was inching closer to me. "How did Chichi like the picnic?"
"She said thanks for creating a nice view. And that next time we should all go." I heard a light chuckle and I couldn't help join in.
"Does that mean family day out or for couples?"
"Unless you're willing to help Chichi, Kook, and Gohan cook for the picnic it could be a family thing. If not, we should look into a nice planet to go camping."
"We could always—" I kissed his forehead and watched how he went from sweet to angry. "Damn you Kakarot! I'm trying to have a—" And there's that smile. He quickly looked to the rest of the room and pointed at Chichi. "I'm stealing your husband for a bit."
"Thank you."
