And I know that this VERY SOON but I promise that the ELITE won't be narrowed down until at least eight or fifteen chapters depending on how the story flows, but I want you to start sending me suggestions on who you want to be the Elite. I at least want ONE girl from each of the people who sent in OC's for Payton's Selection.

The Elites already chosen:

1. Eirelyn Leger created by MichaelXClaire1996 (me)

2. Vera Martinez created by Anastasia the Goddess of Drama

3. Catherine Zussledorf created by Smiley111

4. Alexandra Redmond by Fairytoto1

These girls were chosen because they are the only girls created by their respective authors. The six remaining slots for the Elite are open game for any of the OC girls. Just message me or leave a review on who you think should be an Elite.

If there is a particular girl you like and you think she should be in the Elite just message me or leave a review. Remember, look over ALL the girls, not just the ones from the newest chapters so you can meet them all before deciding who you want in the Elite.

P.S- Of you already have boy selected that you want in Sara's Elite just review or PM me for them too, same requirements as the girls. All the creators must have an OC.

Chapter 20- Meet The Princess Pt. 2

Sara POV

Sara sighed as she practically collapsed into a chair. There was nothing she wanted to do more than go back to her room and sleep. She was so tired and she still had about fifteen boys to go through. Again. Why had she thought doing the Selection at the same time with Payton was a good idea? She wasn't in line to inherit the throne. She could have just married some royal or nobility; but of course, she had to make herself go through hell.

"Everything okay Sis?" Leandra asked from across the table from her, amusement in her chocolate brown eyes. She was sitting with Julia eating happily next to her.

"I'm tired and some of these guys are downright jerks," Sara said, meeting Leandra's eyes. "But some are really nice and struggling at home. I'd feel horrible if I sent them home with their situations."

Leandra frowned, "You have to. You can't keep all of them here Sara."

"I know," Sara snapped, sounding both annoyed and guilty at the same time. "But you should hear some of their stories. Some of these guys are struggling to put food on their table. Some are outcaste because of what they believe in or because of something their siblings are struggling through. If I can help them by having them stay at the palace then I want to."

"I want you to marry a Prince," Julia broke in, her hands' sticky thanks to an eclair that she had been eating. At least her honey blonde hair was pulled back from her face and her sugary brown eyes glowed with happiness so the mess was worth it.

Sara snorted, thinking of the one Prince she had ever dated, "Princes are overrated Julie, trust me on that."

Julia scrunched up her small face, as she tilted her head as she tried to think. "Even Payton and Liam?"

"Of course, they're the most overrated of all," Sara said with a heavy nod, even if she was smiling.

Leandra laughed and reached for her drink when Julia knocked into her as she reached for a cookie on the plate in front of her.

Sara watched as everything seemed to go in slow motion. She watched as the red drink in Leandra's hands tilted and spill all over Leandra's pretty mint green dress, causing a horrible stain to form. "Julie!" Leandra cried, staring at the stain in despair.

Leandra looked around wildly and her eyes finally landed on Payton who was talking to a pretty girl with dark hair and tanned skin. "Payton! Payton!" She called, panic in her voice.

"Lee, calm down," Sara said, glancing over Payton with worry when she saw that he was leaving the girl he had been talking to so that he could come over to help. Why did Leandra always turn to Payton when she needed help? Even when she was there? She took a handful of napkins and started to dab at the stain.

"What happened?" Payton asked, looking at the stain with a frown.

"Julia knocked into me," Leandra said, glaring at the six-year-old who was starting to get teary-eyed at the anger directed at her.

"Hey, it was an accident," Sara said, she took hold of Julia and pulled her to her feet, ignoring the sticky chocolate on her fingers. "Payton, help Leandra, I'll take Julie to Mom and Dad. Or Liam."

"Liam." Julia sniffed as they walked to find their second oldest brother. Like Payton was Leandra's hero, Liam was Julia's. Honestly, Sara couldn't help but feel like chopped liver sometimes, she was the odd one out. Was it because she was the oldest girl?

They found Liam and Evelyn easily enough and once Julia saw Liam she launched herself at him, sticky fingers and all.

"Hey there Jelly Bee," Liam said affectionately, calling her by his nickname for her while effectively dodging her chocolate fingers while still grabbing her hands. "What's wrong?"

"Lee mad at me." Julia sniffed.

"What did you do?" Evelyn asked sweetly, bending down at her knees so that she was level with the girl.

Sara spoke up, "She accidentally made Leandra spill her drink on her dress, Payton's dealing with it."

Liam raised his brows, "Oh," He looked down at Julia and smiled, "It'll be okay Jelly Bee, let's go clean your hands up." He started to walk back to the palace but Evelyn stayed behind to talk to her.

"Go back to talking to your Selected Sara," Evelyn said, giving her a sweet smile. "I bet Colton will not stand a chance against these guys."

"Hopefully," Sara said, rolling her eyes at the British Princess, "What does your brother think about my Selection?"

Evelyn laughed, "He plans on winning you back when he gets here, so watch yourself."

"You don't need to tell me that," Sara said, before walking to the next boy she hadn't talked to. Colton couldn't win her back because he no longer had her heart.

Edward POV

Edward stood alone, waiting for the Princess to approach him, but the longer he waited, the more impatient he became. Didn't she realize that he was a two? And that he was the best out of all of these guys? There was no doubt in his mind that he would win Princess Sara's Selection. He would become the newest Prince of Illéa, no matter what. The only thing that would have made the situation better was if he was to become King, not just a Prince.

He was the most handsome, smart and best-dressed man here and he wanted to talk to the Princess. It was ridiculous that she was talking to other boys before him, and he could just tell from the look of them that they were not twos like him. They were probably fives or sixes, not worth his time and they should definitely not have been worth the Princess' time.

In his opinion, every single guy under the caste of two should have immediately been sent home. They wouldn't know how to lead or be a Prince, not like him. Especially the sixes and sevens, how could a former maid or worker who could barely afford to keep a roof above their head become Princess Sara's husband and more importantly a Prince? Impossible.

He took another drink of his wine and that's when he saw the Princess, she was making her way directly towards him and he smiled at her. "Princess, you look beautiful tonight." He said, flashing her his best smile.

He knew that he could win her over. His Mom had always said that he was the most handsome man there was in this Selection and he knew that she was right. However, his father had always been much sterner and pointed out his flaws.

"You look fairly nice yourself," The Princess said, clearly taken aback by his compliment when she hadn't even said anything yet. "How are you tonight Sir Edward?"

"The night just became perfect now that you're here," Edward said, offering her his arm and she took it after a moment of hesitation.

The two of them went towards the edge of the lawn and walked around before Princess Sara spoke, "Tell me a bit of yourself."

Edward smirked at her, "Well, I come from a family that has a long history of being twos and being models, actors, and politicians. We have never been slave-like workers like sixes and sevens and definitely not eights." He said proudly, he looked at her, expecting to see awe, and saw the complete opposite, she had a look of irritation and disgust on her face.

"Is that supposed to impress me?" Sara asked, her voice going cold as she glared up at him with icy blue eyes.

Edward blinked, "Of course, you wouldn't want a partner that's on the bottom of the food chain. The only people worth treating with respect are the royalty and other twos. Everyone else is a waste of time." He honestly wasn't getting what he was doing wrong.

"Food chain? Waste of time?" Sara asked, her anger quickly building as she looked at him. "Let me tell you something Sir Edward, I have talked to a number of the men here and many of them have been fives, sixes and even some sevens. And I can tell you right now that one of them is worth more than ten of you."

Edward felt his own anger start to rise, "How could you say that? You're a one, you're the best out of everyone. There's no need to mingle with the people that are below you."

"Here's something you should really try to remember," Sara said, pulling away from him, hands on her hips. "Without the people, the monarchy would fall, is falling because we still have rebels. You do realize that a good percent of them are from the lower caste right? If we could give them more benefits and money, then we could help them and the support the rebels have will fade. The people that seemed to have the least power actually have the most power." Without saying anything else, Princess Sara spun on her heels and walked away from him.

Edward stared after her, indigent, was she serious? She couldn't really believe that could she? The held should be treated with no respect. They didn't deserve it. He swore to himself then, that the Princess was the one who would learn the lesson. That people under them should stay under them and the ones above shouldn't help.

Trent POV

Trent let out a deep sigh as he started to lead Princess Sara away from the tents, finally, it was his turn to speak to her. "How are you, tonight Princess?"

"Fine." She said and Trent thought she sounded a bit put-out from the long day. How many guys had she met with already? He hadn't kept count like some of the other guys because he knew that she'd eventually get to him. He hadn't been worried. "Tell me a bit about yourself, Sir Trent."

Trent paused for a bit, trying to think about what was interesting about his family and what would make him stand out a bit. "Well, my Dad is a politician here in Illéa and my Mom is actually from New Asia, she's also one of the best novelists in Illéa in the topic of the most beautiful novels. Maybe you've heard about her, her name is Lifen Stevens."

Sara's eyes grew wide and excited. "I know her writing and I love it. She's very inspirational."

Trent smiled back. "Yeah, but I want to follow my Dad's work path more than my Mom, I want to be a politician too."

"That's hard work and politicians fight a lot. Some days, I can hear them in the halls." Sara noted, "Are you sure?"

Trent nodded seriously, "I want my parents to be proud of me and I think the best way for me to do that is to become a politician. They're already so proud of my brother Tanner, he's a professional snowboarder. I think he is even in the same circuits as Brody."

"Brody Silver right? I've talked to him. He seems very dedicated to his skiing career."

"Most people like him are," Trent confirmed, "I just don't see what's so amazing about it. Depending on the county you're in, you can't even ski or snowboard the whole year unless you move around."

The Princess shrugged, "At least they're doing what they love and as long as they have people who cheer them on, they probably think it's worth it." She looked at him with her blue eyes again. "And I asked you to tell me about yourself, not the people in your family. What does Trent Stevens like to do?"

Trent shrugged, "I like to play the piano, write and I pride myself as an inventor. I like trying to invent new things." He turned sheepish then, "And I do snowboard and ski but I only do it for sport, I'd never turn it into a profession."

Princess Sara laughed, "It's good to want to things for sport, and you have a lot of hobbies too. Is there anything else?"

"I know eight different languages. Including English, Spanish, French, Italian, Mandarin, Japanese, Korean and German." Trent said proudly, "Those are all the ones you should know if you want to get into the political scene."

"Why'd you join the Selection?" The Princess asked then, taking him slightly off guard.

"Because I want a shot to win your heart," Trent said smartly, there was no way that he'd simply say he wanted to beat his brother and be royalty. "I want to know you." It was partly true; if he had really thought he had no chance and that there was no way he could fall for the Princess he wouldn't have applied for the Selection.

"Thank you," The Princess said as they made their way back to the tents, "And please, call me Sara."

"As long as you call me Trent," He said.

She nodded and headed towards another guy, probably to continue trying to meet the perfect guy for her. He hoped that he ended up being her Prince, then he'd really beat his brother, and Sara wasn't too bad either.

Nathaniel POV

Nathaniel almost choked on his glass of wine when the Princess suddenly appeared in front of him. "Princess," He coughed, bowing to her as best as he could.

Princess Sara frowned, "Are you okay Sir Nathaniel?" She asked concern dancing in her blue eyes.

"I am," He gave her his most reassuring smile and she smiled back at him as she sat down at his table. He had been sitting alone to take a breather and that was probably why she had approached him. "You look lovely tonight Princess."

"You do too," She said, a slight blush on her cheeks. "You can call me Sara," She said after a pause.

"Sara," Nathaniel tried out her name on his tongue and smiled back at her, "If that's what you want. You can call me Nate, my friends, and family do."

Sara nodded, "Tell me about yourself, Nate."

"Well, I'm not this grand billionaire or anything, my family isn't even that rich, but we make do well enough. I'm just a humble dairy farmer at my family's plantation. We sell cheese, cream, milk, butter, ice cream, and eggs. I've worked there my entire life."

Sara smiled and nodded, "You make the essentials and it's family-owned?"

He nodded, "Yeah, but it's fun. I get to work with the most important people in my life every single day. It's also the best in the summer, I get to play with our dogs and frisbee with my brothers. Believe it or not, I also have a lot of time to spend with friends. I know a lot of the other guys wouldn't think so, but I lived a great life on the farm."

Sara looked at him, "Why are you using past tense?"

"Well, I'll be a three right? So while I should have inherited the farm from my parents, I won't anymore because I'll become a three. My younger brother, Milo will inherit it instead." Nathaniel said, trying to keep the disappointment out of his voice.

"But you can still farm." Sara said, "Just because you're a three doesn't mean you can't do what you used to do. Caste shouldn't matter." She paused, "Why'd you join the Selection Nathaniel?"

Nathaniel looked at his glass of wine, "I want to help my family, my Mom is ill now because she's worked on the farm so long, so she's retiring soon. The money I get from the Selection will help my family's financial situation," He told her with honesty and sincerity. "But I also applied because I want to be able to find love. I want to give this a chance because I thought I could have a chance with you."

"You're willing to take a chance on me loving you?" Sara asked, looking him over again and he wondered what she thought of his dirty blonde hair and dark blue eyes. "Isn't that a big chance?"

"You're taking a chance on us too." Nathaniel pointed out, "We just have to hope we didn't take the leap for nothing."

Sara beamed at him genuine happiness in her eyes, "Your right, have a good night Nathaniel."

She was about to stand up and leave when Nathaniel saw the Prince sit down beside her a pretty redhead practically clinging to his arm. "What are you doing Payton?" Sara asked, looking stunned.

"Nothing," Prince Payton said, looking like he was trying to stay calm, but even Nathaniel could tell that he looked extremely uncomfortable. "Sara, this is Lady Leslie."

"Princess," The redhead or Leslie said a bit too loudly, "It's so nice to meet my future sister-in-law," She said excitedly.

Nathaniel saw Sara's eyes widen in shock and Payton frantically shake his head at her, but the redhead didn't seem to notice, she was too engrossed in looking at Payton.

"It's love at first sight. I just knew that we'd end up together." Leslie said a large smile on her face and Nathaniel was completely convinced that Leslie honestly believed what she was saying. "I love you so much, Payton."

"...Okay," Payton said nervously, clearly trying to pry Leslie's fingers off his arm but failing. Finally, he looked over at Sara and mouthed the words: HELP ME.

Sara laughed, loving the situation her older brother was in. "You love Payton?" She asked Leslie, trying to stifle her laughter.

Leslie nodded enthusiastically, "Of course I do, my heart is beating so fast just by having him near me and his heart is beating fast too." Without warning, she pressed her hand against the Prince's chest and Nathaniel almost choked again. He was certain that the redhead was breaking every single protocol there was.

"I can already imagine what our children will look like," Leslie added, a dreamy look in her eye.

Nathaniel watched as Prince Payton finally wrenched himself away from the clearly crazy girl. "I'm sure Lady Leslie, but if you'll excuse me, our time together is over. But I loved to be in your company."

"Not as much as I loved to be in yours Pay-pay. I'll see you tomorrow for our date." Leslie said before literally skipping away from them.

"You have a date?" Sara asked, barely keeping her giggles in check.

"Of course I don't," Payton said standing and straightening his suit. "That girl is gone after breakfast."

"That's a horrible way to treat your new wife." Sara teased and even Nathaniel chuckled a bit.

Payton glared at his sister, "Go back to courting, Sis. We'll talk more about this later." He walked away without saying anything else.

When Payton was gone Sara turned back to Nathaniel and grinned, "I wish he'd keep her. I'd love to see that again."

"Have you had any guys like that?" Nathaniel asked, chuckling still. What kind of people were let in these Selections?

"Maybe one," Sara confessed, getting up to leave for real this time, "Have a good night Nate."

"You too Sara," He said, smiling as he watched her walk away. He knew that he could really fall in love with her. The only question was if she could fall in love with him.

Travis POV

Travis smirked when he saw the Princess approach him. It was about time that she approach someone who was equal to her. "Princess," He greeted bowing slightly to her.

"Sir Travis," The Princess said, giving him a slight smile. "Tell me a little about yourself." She said, taking his arm and leading him away from the rest of the party.

Travis smirked, liking that she wanted to be alone with him. "Well, I'm a two and I'm a professional swimmer and model." He said immediately.

"That's all?" Princess Sara asked and it took everything Travis had to not show that he was offended.

"Well, there's nothing else that really matters," Travis said, a frown starting to pull on his face. "But if you want to know, my Dad used to be a guard in the palace, he actually still acts as a guard in Zuni. My Mom used to be a maid but now she models. She's actually really famous, I'm betting she's even more famous than Celeste Newsome."

Sara still didn't look impressed, but her eyes did light up when he mentioned that his Dad was a guard. "I doubt that. Celeste Newsome has been the top model for the past ten years and even had a lot of fame in her youth."

Travis grounded his teeth together. He didn't care that she was a Princess, she should be treating him with a bit more respect. "Well, she has fame and money and wonderful looks. Those are the most important things in life." Travis gestured to himself as he spoke and he hoped that she was taking in his fair but slightly tanned skin, golden hair and aqua eyes with the green around the pupil. He was practically a real-life breathing Greek Adonis.

"You think power and money are all that matter in the world?" Sara asked sounding extremely disgusted by him.

Travis nodded proudly. He wasn't going to hide who he truly was. No matter what. "While I may find love, all I want is to climb up in the world so that no one can bully me or laugh at me as my Mom told me people used to laugh at her while she was a maid. I won't live in shame."

"There are worse ways to live in shame," Sara said sternly pulling away from him. "From what you've told me, your parents come from humble beginnings. You should learn something from them."

"My Mom taught me everything I know. My Dad is too busy guarding people." Travis said he couldn't hide the bitter note to his voice though. He had wished his Dad had been home more.

Sara shook her head, "Then maybe you should be more like your Dad. Clearly, he's the heart of your family if he's still willing to protect people." She turned and left without saying anything else and Travis glared after her.

Maybe she didn't realize it, because she was a Princess, but to him, the only way to gain loyalty and to ensure people were around was through money and power. He learned at a fairly young age that most people were willing to stick around if a person had those two things. So he'd never stop trying to gain as much money and power as he could. That was the only way to ensure people would never leave him.

Payton POV

"That wasn't as bad as I thought it would be," Payton said, they were all in his room, the Selected files of both his and Sara's Selection spread out across the floor.

"Says you," Sara huffed from her place across from him. Besides the two of them, Liam, Leandra, and Evelyn had gathered in his room to talk about the Selected that they had met that day. "My guys ranged from being completely horrible to annoyingly sweet and clingy."

"Mine too," Payton confessed, but he was already separating his selected into four piles; the first pile was made of the girls he really thought he had a chance with, the second pile was for the girls he connected with, but on a lower level, the third pile consisted of maybes, the girls he needed to know more and the fourth pile were of the girls he'd be sending home tomorrow.

At the moment, he had nine girls that he was definitely going to send home: Leslie Buttons of Zuni, Giselle Marques of Yukon, Willa Frances from Paloma, Hannah Blayney from Midston, Rowan Carpenter from Lakedon, Madeline Wong from Hudson, Aprilyn Murrue from Honduragua, Allison McLean from Dominica, and Patricia Holland from Baffin. Nine girls all in all.

"I'm glad that I narrowed it down a bit, Payton sighed, looking at the files of the girls he'd be eliminating tomorrow. Nine down and twenty-five to go."

"Don't you think you're eliminating too many? Nine is a big number." Sara said, looking up from her own files.

"It's better to get rid of the ones you didn't feel the spark with," Liam said in defense of Payton's actions. "How many are you getting rid of?"

"Five." Sara said crossing her arms over her chest defensively, "It's a perfectly good number."

"But you said these guys were complete jerks. Why are you keeping them?" Leandra asked, looking over the files of Travis Cooper and Edward Collins.

"I think there's something more to them. I'm curious." Sara said, snatching the files back. "The ones I'm sending home, I have no hope in."

"Of course you don't," Payton said, looking over the piles of the girls who'd be staying. He had twenty-six girls to date. And he knew exactly who he was going to be his first.

Please leave a review, guys! Next chapter we finally get into the dates! Finally!

I made randomizers online that will help me chose which girl POV's I want to do, along with the ones I already have planned for the whole story.

I'm planning to have each girl have at least one other POV before they get eliminated and it's nothing against the authors if their OCs do end up eliminated. I also have extra plans for a few of them. Thanks again!

Oh and make sure to tell me who you want in both Payton and Sara's Elite! I'm tallying up what you're telling me and when it's time for the Elite, the characters with the most votes are in.
