"So Cretaceous, Gold, Chikasu and Ginova all met each other at the same school, and from there decided to travel the worlds together." Ichiro said.
"It looked more like Gold was on a journey and the other three were just dragged along for the ride." Rayleigh said.
"Yeah, but that's how these things usually end up going." David said. "I mean, it's the case for the V3 cast. When Danganronpa was shut down, they had nowhere else to go, so Jexi and I decided to take them with us."
"As far as we've known, that wasn't the only case either." Cheetah said.
"What would the other ones be?" Ace asked.
"You guys taking us in." Flamberge said.
"Oh yeah, when I combined Ifrit, Shiva, and Ramuh's powers with Kirby's Friendship Heart to give all three of you human forms, giving you guys a chance to join us." Ace said.
"Yeah, you guys opened our eyes to how Hyness was being corrupted by the Jamba Heart, and after we defeated him, we joined you." Flamberge said.
"Yeah, and that's when I split off from you guys for a bit until the Lyoko Redux. It's been so long since that happened." Ace said.
"Yeah. And there have been plenty of other examples of us bringing in characters with nowhere to go." Hope said.
"Yeah, you all tend to bring out the best in people." Mark noted.
"Oh, that's just part of our charm." David said.
"Yep...meetings of chance and coincidence." Jexi said. "That's just how we do it."
"Come to think of it, didn't Benimaru and his guys join Rimuru the same way?" Ethox asked.
"We had lost our village to the orcs. We had nowhere to go." Benimaru said. "There were only the 6 of us to survive out of a village of 300."
"Ah...I...I see." Ethox said. "Sorry for bringing that up."
"Okay...here's the next room." Theo said as they ended up in a large round room with a number of portraits.
"Is this a gallery of some sort?" Kohaku asked.
"Whoa...check this out." Hope said looking at a plaque where it read 1st Flux Family.
"I see. This is a family tree of all the families he made." Robin said.
"She's right. It lists the matriarch of that branch and their kids." Mirror Match said.
"Wow...he's kept incredibly detailed records on all his kids." Mark said, looking around.
"Yeah. different kids across every facet of the multiverse, in every universe he's been to." Hope said.
"He's certainly polyamorous." Ace said.
"Whoa...look at this…" Jexi said finding another picture as the group were soon viewing a scene from the past once more as the scene was changed to a bar.
"Huh...nice of you to take us out, Cretaceous." Chikasu said.
"Yeah...not often you treat us after so long." Ginova said.
"I'm going to be honest...this is not a special occasion." Cretaceous said.
"Really?" Gold asked.
"Well...remember when I went to visit Central City awhile back. Well...I met this woman there. And well...she sort of found me today...with her daughter." Cretaceous said.
"No way...you actually…." Ginova said.
"I've done a DNA test myself...it's mine." Cretaceous said.
"I had a feeling." Ginova said. "It's about the whole "legacy" you're trying to continue. It's crazy that you're starting all these families."
"When I said I wanted to leave a legacy, I meant with knowledge and money...not with multiple kids!" Cretaceous said.
"Big deal. I meet a lot of women and I still see Silver." Gold said.
"Cretacous, let me offer you some advice, as a husband myself." Ginova said.
"Yes...but you have slept with only one woman." Cretaceous said.
"I know you tend to get around Cretacous, and I know romance is a trial and error kind of thing, you'll have to do a little...experimentation, but…" Chikasu started. "Don't you think you're kind of setting off a few landmines with this kind of deal?"
"I've already triggered one." Cretaceous said, turning his head to show a large handprint. "This was from Nancy after I told her."
"Yeesh...what did your kids think?" Ginova said.
"Artemis could care less for the affairs of others. But...Amadeus...he seemed to enjoy the idea. This is silly...he had the idea of having more siblings and making a Fluxtopia." Cretaceous chuckled.
"Well, kids gotta dream big at some point, right?" Chikasu asked.
"Yes...I suppose that is true." Cretaceous said. "But...I can't help but find some meaning in those words. I want to leave a legacy behind...but what would I actually leave? Maybe it should be something more unique than just inventions and money." he said.
"That a guy. Meet as many women as possible." Gold said.
"I shall." Cretaceous said as he spotted a young mage entering. "Starting now." he said, walking over. "Also, if Nancy kills me for this, raise my future kids as if they were your own."
"Don't worry. I'll see about raising them by not being involved." Gold said.
"Uh...I think I'm gonna rely on either of you." Cretaceous said, looking to Chikasu and Ginova as he walked off.
"Okay...so how do we…" Ginova said before seeing Chikasu touching his nose. "Damn it!"
The scene soon ended as the group returned to the present.
"So it all started from one man's moment of weakness...sounds about right." Ivy said.
"Everyone has their vices, young witch." Cheetah said. "His just happens to be women."
"Whoa….and there's the mage he slept with." Jexi said seeing it under the 3rd Flux Family.
"So that mage was Diamond, er, Diana's mom." Rarity said.
"I wonder…" David said as he looked at the 23rd Flux Family. "Theodore Flux…" he muttered before looking to the side. "And he had siblings too."
"Yeah...it's hard to even think about…" Hope said.
"Hey, I found Barry's family! And the guy next to him...gotta be his brother. But...this one's different." Eddy said.
"Different?" Steven asked.
"Yeah, it's all dimmed and has a black frame." Eddy said.
"I get it...Barry said his brother died a while back. So this tree is a way to keep track of who is alive and who is dead." Ibuki said.
"Yeah, and his brother's death was the whole reason Barry wanted to kill Cretaceous during the Inheritance War." Mark remembered. "He felt like Cretaceous didn't care about his children."
"I remember that." Double D said. "It is fortunate Zexi stopped Barry from going through with it. If Barry succeeded… I doubt he could have lived with himself when he learned the truth."
"Wait...if this keeps track of...what about Theodore's picture?" Cheetah asked.
"It's...still pretty brightly colored. And the borders are gold like the others." Jessica said.
"Could this mean that he's probably still alive somewhere?" Sachiko asked.
"I'm not so sure, Sachiko. He fell pretty deep when David sent that uppercut. Even if he is, I doubt he'd even look the same as we remember him." Crusadermon said.
"Personally, I don't really want for him to return." Hope said. "He was crazy, after all."
"Not to mention a monster." Alphamon seethed.
"Alphamon is right, he pretty much screwed over everyone he came across just to maintain his own status." Leopardmon said. "...Including us, to a certain extent."
"Yeah. Me, Mayumi, Sachiko, the Royal Knights, and even Corona and Tsuki all had beef against him for one reason or another." David said.
"That's something I could never forget when he planned to have Corona and Tsuki's data integrated into those Robot Masters." Ace said.
"No...that was Amadeus. He sent those bots." Hope said.
"But Theodore still tortured Corona. That's more than enough reason for them." Poison Ivy said.
"Right." Ace said as he looked at his Digimon Partners with a smile.
"All the same, I'm just glad he's gone." Hope said.
"You and pretty much everyone else here, Hope." Alphamon said. "Even King Drasil showed great relief when we returned to him with the news."
"If I can ask a question," Double D said. "If Theodore Flux is alive, and if we somehow encounter him, or wherever he is now… what if…"
"Dude, don't jinx it, please." David said.
"Sorry...getting ahead of myself." Double D said.
"Well...we should keep going." Meowth said. "We gotta be getting close to some real juicy family treasure or something."
"Is treasure all he thinks about?" Zacian whispered.
"Well as a rescue/exploration team, we do sometimes find treasure. And he does handle the finances." Totodile said.
"Plus he's pretty nice when you get to know him." Riolu said.
"We can see that. But at least he's eager." Kokoro said.
"Well Meowth do like going after shiny things." Starlight said.
"That makes more sense. Come on. Let's go before he ends up destroying something." Adora said as they continued on.
