"Okay...so where are we?" Riolu asked as they were walking through an old worn away garden of sorts.

"An indoor garden. It's for patients to unwind after a stressful day." Double D said.

"It's a shame this place is so worn down. I bet those plants looked amazing while it was still up." Ramona said.

"Yeah...but it's old and run down now. Not much chance of a garden revival here." Perfuma said sadly. "Huh?" she questioned as she looked to the ground to see a trail of bloody bandages of the ground.

"I dont suppose that belongs to a dead patient, right?" Bow asked.

"Possibly...but...the blood almost seems fresh." Tigre said as they saw what appeared to be an old man looking at a withered old tree.

"W-Who's that?" Ginseng asked.

"It must be a patient at this hospital." Necroapache said. "Perhaps the stories of those who came here never to return are not exactly true."

"Hey...listen old timer...we were wondering...if we...could…" Subaru said approaching the old man to see part of his head missing. "Ah!" he cried out in fear.

"I-Is he…" Ginseng trailed off in fear.

"A ghost? Definitely." SE said. "And depending on what rules this dungeon is going off of, the fact that it displays injuries may or may not mean that it's an angry spirit."

"But...it doesn't look like it's reacting to us." Tigre said.

"Huh?" Subaru said, waving a hand in front of the spirit. "Yeah, you're right."

"Well in that case, we should be fine around this guy, as long as we don't mess with that withered old tree." SE said. "It must've been important to him while he was still alive."

"Well...I guess I better head on in." the old man said as he headed back into the hospital.

"I wonder where he is going." Ramona said.

"I think we should follow him." Bow said.

"You seriously wanna follow a ghost through a hospital?" Subaru asked.

"Couldn't hurt." Bow said as they did so as they saw the ghost entering a nearby room.

"Hmm...213...ah...he was just going back to his hospital room." Tigre said.

"I wonder if this hospital is still treating patients even though they've passed on?" Bow asked.

"It's hard to say." Ginseng said.

"I'm not sure. I don't see any doctors." Riolu said.

Elsewhere…

"Whoa...this...is pretty tight." Akane said, looking over a number of machines.

"It's a gym...you know...for rehabilitation for patients?" Kazuma said.

"Well, they have to keep their bodies healthy and in shape somehow." Rayleigh said.

"Yes, even help those who were paralyzed from the waist down for a time, regain their ability to walk." Philia said.

"Yeah...doubt this guy will be doing much walking." Vector said looking at a skeleton lying behind a treadmill.

"Ouch...how do you think he…" Akane asked.

"Judging by the way he's grasping his chest...I'm gonna say it was a heart attack." Izuku said.

"That's horrible." Philia said.

"High blood pressure can be quite a killer if your body can't take it." Rayleigh said.

Kazuma soon turned after that before he saw a number of figures using the machines, each of them either missing a part of their body or just looking pale. "Uh...guys….we….we got ghosts!" Kazuma called out.

"If they're ghosts wouldn't they be transparent?" Emil asked. "Then again we've tended to fight spectral monsters from time to time."

"That is a common ghost stereotype." Rayleigh said. "Not all ghosts are transparent."

"That is true." Atro added. "But these spirits haven't been able to truly pass on yet."

"So it's a Haunted Hospital because of all the ghosts in here, huh?" Akane asked.

"Well, yes. But not all ghosts are scary." Rayleigh said.

"Besides, it doesn't even seem like they even notice us." Kazuma said.

"He's right. They just keep going about their business. It's like they don't even realize they're dead." Izuku said.

"Or maybe they're just that devoted to a good workout. Now that takes dedication." Rayleigh said.

"Yeah...somehow I doubt they can gain muscle since they don't have any." Eijiro said, sweatdropping.

Elsewhere in the hospital…

"So...you want me to help you deal with your fear of the paranormal, is that correct?" Dr. Lilac asked.

"Yeah...or at least make me a bit braver so I don't hinder the others in places like this." Kaito said.

"Hmm...I think I may be able to help with that." the good doctor said as she walked behind Kaito and put two hands on his head as he stiffened. "Now...focus on someone incredibly important to you."

"Okay…" Kaito said as he saw Maki in his mind. "Maki…"

"A lover I'll assume. Now...imagine her being put in a situation involving the paranormal." Lilac's voice called out as Kaito saw her surrounded by ghosts, vampires and other horrific monsters. "Are you just going to let your fears take the one you care for?"

"Like hell I will!" Kaito said as he started beating them from within his mind before he was soon together with Maki.

"And...we return to the world." Lilac said as Kaito snapped back to reality.

"Whoa...that was crazy. What was that?" Kaito asked.

"It was the Fear Conqueror Technique. One of the sacred techniques for eliminating fear temporarily." Lilac said. "It and many other techniques are talks to certain doctors of certain professions."

"Hey...this hospital has one too right? Think we could have it? It could really up our doctors." Kaito said.

"Hmm…" Lilac pondered. "I suppose. But...you must do something for me."

"Huh?" Kaito asked.

"In this hospital, there is someone who has been messing with the bodies of the deceased and performing all sorts of horrible things to them. I want you to chase them out of here." Lilac said.

"Seriously? Ugh… Those kinds of people are the worst. Believe me, I've been there." Kaito said.

"If you cast them out of here, I shall leave you the techniques." Lilac said.

"You can count on me doc." Kaito said as he ran out.

"Godspeed." Lilac said.

Deep below the hospital, specifically in the morgue…

"Ugh...why did we pick down here?" Hope asked.

"Well Kaito could be anywhere. We gotta be thorough." Oshawott said.

"I know that, but this place kinda stirs up bad vibes for me." Hope said.

"It's a morgue. Pretty sure it's bad vibes for anyone here." Naofumi said.

"Though...these bodies...they seem...fresh." Connie said. "If this hospital was shut down long ago...then there shouldn't be power to these freezers."

"And a lot of them...they don't look like they're from this universe either." Theo said. "What's going on here?"

They saw a light up ahead as they slowly followed it as they heard diabolical laughter. Peeking behind a corner, they saw a figure that Hope knew too well.

"Oh...Maddiman." Hope said. "The same guy who brought Mukuro and Chiaki back for his own purposes."

"And who vowed revenge against you." Connie said.

"Hahahaha!" Maddiman laughed. "Well...it took a long time to do it...but my army is nearing completion." he said looking to a number of stitched up soldiers. "All for the one purpose...revenge against that boy who stole from me!"

"He's...using the bodies of people as soldiers?" Miriam asked.

"Yeah...he's a mad doctor. Though he's not totally insane. He did figure out how to revive Mukuro and Chiaki." Hope said.

"But we should still probably stop him right? Before he...you know...tries to get revenge?" Theo asked.

"Yes, definitely. It's bad enough that he messed with Mukuro and Chiaki. I don't want to think about what other corpses he dug up." Cheetah said.

"Hmm? I hear voices." Maddiman said, turning around to see the group. "Well well well...if it isn't my old arch nemeses...the Hero Alliance...and my prime arch nemesis...Hope the Stealer."

"You can't call him a stealer if they were never yours to begin with." Cheetah said.

"They were mine. I put them back together. Therefore, that makes them mine." Maddiman said.

"That logic is just wrong on so many levels…" Fulgore said.

"Mukuro and Chiaki are people with their own and thoughts and feelings, not puppets you can simply do with as you please." Miriam said. "The same goes for these people you're turning into soldiers."

"Before your plan ever takes off and your army awakens, we're going to stop you dead in your tracks!" Hope said.

"Well...then you're going to have to go back to about...5 seconds ago!" he said, flipping a switch as he laughed as power surged through the bodies as they all began to awaken.

"This is bad. He's reanimating them. This whole hospital is going to swarm with them in a matter of minutes." Cheetah said.

"Oh and don't think I've forgotten you. Yes...shouldn't you be stealing jewels and going home to your many cats?" Maddiman asked.

"Not THAT Catwoman." Cheetah said, shaking her head a bit.

"Ignore him. He's just trying to get a rise out of you." Fulgore said.

"Grrr….don't you dare belittle me!" Maddiman said as one soldier powered up their chainsaw arm.

"A chainsaw?" Hope asked.

"Okay...so I ran out of human body parts halfway through and had to improvise some inhuman parts." Maddiman said.

"Just how far are you willing to go desecrating the dead?" Miriam asked.

"What do I care? I'm not exactly alive myself. So it all works out." Maddiman said.

"...Not exactly alive?" Fulgore asked.

"He's a Yokai...a spirit." Hope said.

"Ah, that makes a whole lot more sense now." Fulgore said.

"That would explain the spiritual air around him." Miriam said.

"Anyway...get them! But leave those two just barely alive!" Maddiman said, pointing to Hope and Cheetah. "I want the pleasure of finishing them off myself." he said, taking up a scalpel.

"Stay sharp." Miriam said, as her ultimate shoes, Hell's Knells replaced her boots as they materialized.

The corpse soldiers all charged as Hope's group combated them.

"They're already dead, so we don't have to worry about killing them!" Hope said, setting one ablaze with his Spectral Fire.

"Ah...it hurts!" one of them cried out.

"What?" Hope said.

"You fool...I was able to bring Mukuro Ikusaba back to life with a beating heart...you think I wouldn't do the same to all these others?" Maddiman asked. "Each of them are living and breathing once again."

"That should've been obvious the moment he reanimated them. This is quite a sticky situation we're in." Cheetah said.

"Indeed it is!" Maddiman said. "Can't win without killing them. You are completely…" Maddiman said before they saw the door kicked open.

"Huh?" they all said.

"All right...don't you dare move, mad doctor!" Kaito said.

"Okay...who the heck is this guy?" Maddiman asked.

"Kaito! We're so glad you're alright." Fulgore said.

"Yeah… Sorry for making you guys worry about me." Kaito said.

"It's still a relief to know you're unharmed." Miriam said.

"Okay...seriously, who the hell is he?" Maddiman asked.

"I'm glad you asked. I'm the legend himself...Kaito Momota, Luminary of the Stars!" Kaito said posing. "And I'm here to help you check out."

"Check me out will you? I dare you to try!" Maddiman said as Kaito leapt at him.
