A battle raged inside the treasure room of the kings, the group was engaged in a fierce battle against Tutankhamun and his familiars as they raged against the heroes.
"Ready, everyone? Battle stations!" David said before Tutankhamun rushed past them again, disrupting any sort of formation.
"A battle formation strategy...classic but not all that effective." Tutankhamun said.
"Hmm… Quite. I can see you're not the type to mess around." David said.
"You all are my enemies...I do not intend to give any of you the time to plan." Tutankhamun said.
"In that case, I think it's about time we get serious as well." David said as he underwent Sapphire God: Armament.
"Fly forth, Celestial Heart!" Ace called, invoking Celestial Force.
"Enhancements...I see…" Tutankhamun said as his eyes glowed as the power flowing from him increased.
"Watch out… This guy's power has just risen a lot." David said.
"Don't worry. We said we wouldn't hold back, didn't we?" Leopardmon said as he invoked his X-Antibody form.
"Very well...do not disappoint!" Tutankhamun said as the four charged at each other only to be pushed back into the walls very quickly.
"He's on even terms with their powered up forms?!" Theo said in surprise.
"It would appear so. This pharaoh...he certainly is powerful for a mere human. However…" Ainz said as Tutankhamun continued to fight back the incoming heroes.
"This...is the thrill I've missed for so long…" Tutankhamun said as he held back both Ace and Leopardmon. "Do not even think of boring me!" he said, pushing both of them back.
"Believe me, we have no intention to." Leopardmon said.
"Good…" the pharaoh said with confidence as he continued to fight hard against the heroes and the three powered up ones without much effort.
"Even at full power, this guy isn't breaking a sweat." Dynasmon said.
"Well...this guy does have incredible magic and is able to hold back those three...it's no wonder this guy is so powerful." Ethox said.
"I think it's time we increased the odds. Lightning Storm of Destruction!" Tutankhamun called out as lightning ravaged the entire room, defeating a number of the heroes.
"Don't worry about us. We'll take care of the familiars, just focus on him." Sectonia said as she invoked Lavender God: The Angelic.
"Alright. Thanks, Sectonia." David said as he slams his claw on the ground, sending a trail of ice his way.
"Ha!" Tutankhamun called out, waving his staff as the ice shattered. "Yes...more!" he said as he charged into David.
"Careful. This claw tends to sting…" David said as he attempted to slash at him with his claw.
"Really…" Tutankhamun said as he slashed David with a claw of lightning. "So does mine!"
"Your power… It feels so similar to mine." David said.
"The Eye of Horus is my ability. Any technique I see that relies on magic, aura or energy...I can learn it and use it in mere seconds. However, I cannot replicate the elements used for it nor can I learn physical techniques." Tutankhamun said.
"Is that so?" Leopardmon asked.
"It is indeed. It is with this ability and my own thirst for battles...I have earned my way to being king of this tomb." Tutankhamun said as lightning surged. "So...before this life is allowed to reach its end...I will exhaust every last bit of it!" he said as the lightning was unleashed, causing mass destruction.
"Oh cripes!" David said as he activated Ice Wall to create a barrier that stretched several feet around him.
"I'll pour everything I have into this one shot." Ace said, pulling out Breidablik while maintaining a barrier to defend against the lightning as the lines on Breidablik began glowing with the 6 elements. "Aether...STORM!" he called, firing a powerful prismatic beam as silhouettes of the Six Heroes and their Eidolon Forms charged forward.
Tutankhamun looked towards the incoming attack. "Incredible…" he said as he took the attack head on. "Yes...now this is what I crave!" he said before breaking it apart.
"Not even a scratch on him. This guy… He's really good. He clearly knows his stuff." David said.
"David...we can't continue." Theo said showing a large number of the group either defeated or exhausted.
"This battle is clearly a battle of attrition… Our objective is not to defeat him." Leopardmon said.
"Not defeat me? What sort of spirit is that?" Tutankhamun said, unleashing another wave of lightning as it ravaged the room.
"You said you wanted to make this the best fight of your life, right? So, we'll take everything you can throw at us." David said.
"Yes...I did say that...however...this battle is nearly over." Tutankhamun said as the powered up four slowly reverted back.
"Our energies are spent… We can barely pull off any more powerful moves." David said. "I would be lying if I said we weren't pushed to our limits."
"It showed. However...this will end it." Tutankhamun said, raising a hand as the group prepared for the incoming attack. However, after a few moments, the man did not make a single move.
"Hey...finish it. Do it if you think you can." Ajna shouted.
"Your words cannot reach him." Ainz said. "That man….is already dead."
"I'm afraid it's true. He has already used up the last of his energy." Cheetah said.
"I could tell from the very beginning, all the magic energy he kept pent up was what extended his life. He possibly lived for centuries before this point. However, the moment he used all of that power...he was already marching towards his grave." Ainz said. "And I suspect he knew that all too well."
"Well… At least he went out having the time of his life." Sectonia said.
"I'm glad you guys could give him a great fight." Hope said. "It must've felt great to take on one of the most famous rulers in history."
"Yeah, but honestly, I don't think I want to fight someone like him again anytime soon." Ace said.
"Yeah, I think I'm going to take a backseat for a while." David said.
"In the end...his undefeated record still stood." Jexi said. "You have our respect, king of the golden tomb."
"Yeah, just being able to survive against him is a feat." Mayumi said.
"Speaking of survival, do you think that other group made it out alright?" David asked.
"They likely did...the moment this guy died, all of his familiars faded as well." Rista said.
"Which makes sense, when the mage dies, the familiars that served them usually tend to go with them." Ivy said.
"Well...let's grab this and…" Meowth said.
"Leave the gold." Jexi said.
"Huh?" Meowth said.
"Yeah...it'll be our tribute to him." Theo said.
"Yeah, just the experience of this place is more than enough." David said.
"Yes… We have been truly blessed to come here." Nesma said.
"Indeed. This is something we won't forget." Ace added.
"Plus it just doesn't seem right to take property from a respected young king like Tut." Zephyr said.
"Yeah…" they all said.
They soon ascended up to the entrance where the nine warriors stood with Ross and the Pokemon.
"So...what happened? Was there any treasure?" Isis asked.
"Well...truth is...the treasure room...had nothing of value inside. Only a few statues of past rulers." Jexi said.
"Yeah. Plus, we didn't really need any treasure from this place anyway." David said.
"The experience we've all had in this place was more than enough." Ace added.
"I see...if that is the case, we shall seal off this temple as a place of worship and nothing to be explored." Osiris said.
"It was truly an honor to have met all of you." Nesma said.
"Same for us." Hathor said.
It wasn't long before they got into the Galaxy King.
"So what was the deal with those Pokemon who ran in that started this?" Hope asked.
"Apparently, they heard it was some sort of place to play so they went in without thinking of the danger." Pikachu said. "After some talking, we allowed the four of them to join our team to better learn the difference between play and danger."
"Still, all things considered, this trip turned out really well." Leopardmon said.
"We didn't get anything out of it...but we made a lot of good memories here." Subaru said.
"We can all agree to that point." Ethox said. "So, where do we wanna go to make more memories next?"
"I say...we follow time on this one." Sheer said, holding a watch as it spun backwards.
"Past Universe, huh?" Leonora said.
"Let's see what going back in time gets us." Theo said.
