"Okay...so what are we looking for this time?" Theo asked.
"According to a few reports, some strange building that appeared in the wastelands. Right about...there." Jet said, pointing to a large marble building that stood there.
"A museum?" Philia asked.
"Uh...yeah. Looks like it." Ethox said as they touched down.
"Well...we may as well show ourselves in." Jexi said as they headed into the building. Inside the museum was a vast array of doorways with one massive one standing in the center of all of them.
"So many eras connected to this place…" Cheetah said, looking at all of the doorways.
"And I have a feeling they're all connected to that large door in the center." Shanoa said as she observed it and noticed multiple keyholes.
"Well...shouldn't be too hard. We just go find some keys and…" Subaru said opening one door where inside was a vast jungle. "The heck?"
"Huh...what a strange little jungle." Cobalt said as they heard thunderous footsteps before looking in the direction they were coming from. "Oh...I see." he said as they saw a large T-Rex approaching.
"Oh Sugar Honey Ice Tea! Close the door, Subaru!" Al said.
"I'm trying, but it won't close!" Subaru said.
"In that case…!" Kendo said, leaping into the air and bashing the T-Rex on the jaw with her enlarged hands, sending it back. "Quick, someone immobilize it!"
"All right." Rem said drawing her mace before tossing it, ripping apart the T-Rex's head.
"Whoa...she said immobilize, not kill." Subaru said.
"Sorry but it was going to eat you and it needed to be dealt with." Rem said.
"Creatures of that era can only thrive on pure instinct." Cheetah said.
"Hey…" Dan said, going over to the T-Rex's body as he pulled out a primitive looking key from the remains.
"That is just disgusting…" Luke said.
"Wait… That key… Do you think it could fit in one of those holes?" Cheetah asked.
"Only one way to find out." Pit said as they attempted to do so, finding the key fitting inside one of the key slots. "Hey, it fits!"
"So if we find more of the keys from the different eras, we'll be able to unlock it." Garr said.
"And to get them, we'll need to take them from beings in the different eras." Sir Saiyan said. "A quest across time."
"Yes...but...there appear to be only five key slots." Roku said.
"Roku, you and Aka have had more time here. You have to know something." Jexi said.
"Indeed. The doors here definitely represent ages in mankind's history. The Past Universe is divided into multiple sectors. The one Subaru opened was from the Prehistoric Era. Meaning the doors here represent five major eras: Prehistoric, Middle Ages, Feudal Japan, Ancient Arabia and the Old West." Roku said. "Though...that's only through assumption."
"Well we've already cleared one...so four more to go." Theo said.
"Say, Hope, didn't you and the others…." Ace began before they heard gunfire.
"The hell?" Hope said as they saw soldiers at the entrance.
"Don't move!" one of them said.
"Run!" Hope said as the groups divided up.
"Ugh...why do they always run when I say that? I should just say go." the soldier sighed.
"Okay, now that they've seen this place, we have a lot of explaining to do." Sectonia said.
"They aren't going to listen." Roku said. "Those are soldiers from a foreign country. They're likely here to seize this place and what lies within."
"So how do you propose we keep them quiet, then?" Cheetah asked.
"We can't. This little expedition just turned into a race for who will claim the treasure first." Meowth said.
"Besides, it's possible they have reinforcements outside. If we just silence them, they'll just attack en masse." Iida said.
"Our only option is to open up the gateways to each of the eras, and place the keys in the slots amidst the confusion." David said.
"Not you, My Lord. You're still recovering from your previous bout against the pharaoh." Kabuki said.
"She's right. You, Ace, Cheetah and Leopardmon are still too wiped from that battle. Just leave it to the rest of us." Cobalt said.
"Alright then. We'll leave this to you then." David said.
"We won't let you down." Mark assured.
"We know you won't." Ace said.
"So, do you guys wanna tackle all of the remaining four Era Rooms at once by splitting up?" Hope asked. "We can cover more ground that way and we can probably beat the soldiers to the keys."
"Good idea. Me and Mark's Team will head to the Middle Ages." Theo said.
"I'll take my group along with Ethox's and Ace's to the Old West." Hope said.
"I'll be taking on Ancient Arabia with Reformed Society." Jexi said.
"Meaning the rest of us get Feudal Japan." Sectonia said.
"Let's go!" they all declared as they entered through the chosen doors quickly.
"Damn it. After them!" the commander said.
"Yes sir!" all of the soldiers said as they gave chase.
