Dateline, October 21st, 1204.
A lot has happen this week. Following our actions in saving lives and stopping the ILF in the months we've encountered them, we were granted an audience with the emperor himself. But then we met the leaders of the factions that had divided the nation.
The heads of the Four Great Houses and I could see why there would be a lot of tension in the air with them around. The chancellor was present too and whilst most of them praised us for our efforts, they also criticized each other because of the recent crises, worse still, Crossbell is still pushing for independence. But aside from Crossbell. I still don't trust those Head of the great houses. I need to keep an eye on them, their factions. And eliminate them.
Somewhere in my heart. This is far from over. C, S, and V. The ship may have blow up but… are they really dead? Some things can be real. While others are a ruse.
With peace around Erebonia making a comeback, we were able to turn our attention to the school festival and especially our group's concert. Elliot and I worked hard and we decided that our class would perform three songs. One for me. One for Emma and then for Machias and Jusis.
To no one's surprise, Jusis, Machias and Emma protest, but I insisted to them that even if they can't sing quite well, it's the taking part and having fun that counts. However, our newfound peace and good times ahead came at a big price. Due to Angelica's involvement with the iron mine issue, her father presented a statement that forced her to leave the academy, but she asked Rean to look after her orbal bike. In addition. We also decided to take prince Olivert's proposal of going to Rean's hometown. I'm looking forward to it.
Today was an important day at the academy since the festival was not long to go now.
"Could I have your attention please?" Towa asked as we all stood near the academy front gate. "It's another great day, perfect weather to start bringing all your great festival ideas to life! Some of you have been preparing since last month, and some even longer. I know you're all itching to get started."
She was right... i'm feeling both excited and nervous at the same time. Whoa... is this my first time feeling nervous?

"So without further ado, I hereby declare the first day of festival preparation has begun. Time to start setting up. We have today and tomorrow, but try not to leave any work until tomorrow night unless you really have to. All right, everyone. Let's do this and try to stay safe out there."
We cheered and the first day of preparing for the festival was underway, every class group had something they were working on after all such as setting up the decorations. We were in our classroom and making some final checks on the details of our concert. I was standing next to Elliot while Crow is standing on the other side where Elliot is.
"I want to thank you for all the effort you've put in over these last two weeks, everyone." Elliot said.
"Heh. Well, at least things are really coming together now." Crow nodded
"Yep, it's all becoming a reality. And we have all of you to thank for it." I added.
Rean sighed. "It's been an exhausting two weeks, though."
"You said it...I don't think I realized how much work this would involve." Alisa replied.
"Elliot and Levi are real taskmasters when it comes to music." Fie added.
"While it was a good experience. I think the real taskmaster is Elliot. Even though it was a merciless one." I replied.
"S-Sorry. I just really want this performance to be the best it can be." Elliot apologized.
"Haha. Don't worry about it." Rean said.
"Given the short time we've had to prepare, I shudder to think what our band would sound like without your's and Elliot's guidance." Laura said.
"Yeah, I'm sure it'll sound great." Gaius added.
Elliot smiled, he felt proud for how far we worked on this and so was I.
"W-Well, the songs are coming together quite nicely, I admit." Machias trailed off.
"We aren't seriously going to do THAT, are we?" Jusis asked
"Now now. I understand you three are uncomfortable and nervous about this. But me and Elliot pour a lot of love and efforts into making these songs for you." I stated with a smile. "I'm sure you will do great. Are you really going to back out now?"
"Yeah, C'mon! Give it up already." Crow nodded
Alisa giggled. "Emma's song is really sounding great."
Laura nodded. " Agreed. I'm sure you'll be quite the sight on stage once you're in your outfit."
"The boys will all be under your spell." Fie added with a smirk.
"Guyyyyyyys, I don't need this pressure right now." Emma frown.
"I have to say, I'm pleasantly surprised at Machias and Jusis. Who knew they'd work so perfectly together?" Rean replied
"I know what you mean." I smirked. "Two boys who live in different worlds shove their rose thorns at each other's neck. And yet they band together, becoming a beautiful combination for peace, honor, and friendship."
"Yep. And now look at them, crooning together in perfect harmony." Elliot smiled.
"And that harmony brought forth a new beginning of a beautiful friendship."
"B-But that's the worst part!" Machias exclaimed. "And Levi, don't make it sound like a Saga!"
"Speak for yourself. I've never felt so humiliated in my life." Jusis muttered
"Oh, don't be like that. On the contrary, it's a great honor. I feel happy you know." I said with a smile. "I'm sure you all know my background, but I feel like I've finally become close to everyone. Sure, I've had my secret and all that, but I am moving on and growing stronger, and I have all of you to thank for that. I don't think I would've lasted this far if I didn't have you as my friends. So I'm happy to return the favor by being the lead vocalist."
"You should, though Rean and me should be given credit for the costumes." Crow said.
The girls frowned at him, of course the costumes hadn't been made yet, but they seemed worried. Come to think of it. What's my costume going to be?
Sara entered the classroom. "Hello there, my adorable class! Heehee. Sounds like you're all having such a gosh-darn good time, I almost hate to interupt."
"Hey there, Instructor Sara." I replied. "What's up?"
"Just wanted to let you know that the principal's given you permission to use the old schoolhouse. You're all free to use it for rehearsal or whatever you need all the way through the end of tomorrow."
Elliot's eyes lit up. "R-really?!"
"Phew, that's a weight off our shoulders." Rean added.
"Yeah, with that as our location, we can do a lot more with staging." I said. "All that's left is to make some last-minute adjustments and start rehearsing before the costumes arrive."
"True." Laura nodded. "There's only so much of our performance we can practice in the music room's limited space."
"Yeah, and Class I's been hogging the auditorium all to themselves." Alisa added
"Well, considering they're performing an operetta, I'm not sure where else they COULD practice." Emma replied
"The first floor of the old schoolhouse should be a fine makeshift auditorium, as far as our practice needs go." Crow nodded "It's even got that stage area. What more could we ask for?"
"Sounds like a great solution to me." Gaius nodded
Machias sighed. "Though every time I step through those doors, I'm always reminded of our first day of school..."
"Hmph. The first of many deceptions by a certain instructor." Jusis added.
"I'm afraid the statute of limitations has expired on that one." Sara rubbed her head.
"Y'know, a little bird told me two people who might be in this room RIGHT NOW had a rather... intimate experience that day." Crow smirked
Oh my gosh Crow, I'm covering my mouth because i'm trying not to laugh.
"Oooh, oooooh! Tell me!" Millium cheered
"Well..." Fie was going to spill the story but...
"I-It's nothing worth mentioning!" Alisa exclaimed in embarrassment.
Wait, so how did Crow find out about that?
Emma giggled. "Well, shall we get our separate ways for today, then?"
"Yeah." Machias nodded. "Our costumes should be coming in this evening. So I think we're fine spending today helping with the setup and decorations."
"Might as well pitch in while we can. I'm guessing tomorrow's schedule just has 'rehearsal' written in every black." Alisa added
"True." Laura nodded. "It only seems right to spend today helping out our club members."
"Guess we outta." Fie shrug.
"Were you planning on helping Towa with any last-minute Student Countil stuff, Rean?" Gaius asked
"Yeah. The Student Council's been totally swamped these last few days, so I figured I'd lend them a hand." Rean answered "I was thinking of looking in on the old schoolhouse while I was out making the rounds, too."
"That'd be helpful. Even though we'll just be using the first floor, we should make sure nothing has shifted around in there." Machais nodded.
"You're right. If you gonna sweep up the place, feel free to give me a call. I'm more then happy to tag along." I nodded
"Okay, thanks." Rean smiled
"Sounds like you've got a lot on your plates. All I can say is good luck." Sara said. "I'll probably be patrolling the campus, so just let me know if anything happens."
"I'll give you a guys a call when the costumes come in." Crow added. "I really want us to at least try those on today just to make sure they all fit."
With that, the discussion was over and we went our separate ways.
I begin to help out with the riding club set up for the fun activity. Oh, I'm gonna keep riding all day. Maybe… but I'm curious what they will have at the festival. So far things are going well. And Jusis is caring for the horses before his next station. Then my ARCUS ring. I begin to answer it.
"Hello?" I wonder who call me.
"Hey, it's Rean. I got a little favor to ask." Rean said on the other line.
"A favor? What is it?"
"Can you help me pick up the costumes in Heimdallr?"
"Oh sure. I don't mind."
"Great. Meet me in the Engineer's building."
"Will do. I'll be there." I nodded and then we hang up. I begin to went to Lambert and then I ask him if I can leave the preparation. I told him I need to pick up the costume with Rean. He gave me permission since we have enough help. And so I ran off and then headed to the Engineer building. Once I arrived. Rean told me that we will be using Angelica's Orbal Bike. I'm curious how this will work. So he told me to use the sidecar and so I did.

And then we begin to take off. Whoa. The speed is sort of like horseback riding. But a little different. I can hear the engine of this thing.
"Whoa. I never expected this kind of transportation to be similar to Horseback riding. The wind feels nice and it isn't so bad. Still, I prefer riding a horse instead." I replied as the wind is blowing my hair.
"Haha. You do love horseback riding so I won't blame you. Speaking of Horses, are you sure it's okay for you to come out with me?" Rean asked. "You were in the middle of helping out the riding club, aren't you?"
"Oh don't worry about it. We got plenty of help. And Jusis is helping out much as well. I'm sure everyone will do just fine. Plus I am rather curious about the designs you and Crow had been discussing."
"Makes sense, especially since you'll be in the spotlight, too."
"I'm honestly still NERVOUS!" I gulp. "I haven't performed in a large audience before. Even in practice. Just thinking about it just makes me want to quit but I can't. Not when everyone is counting on me. It would be horrible of me to let them down like that. Plus it would be… good experience to say the least."
"Yeah. Don't worry Levi. I believe in you. I know you'll do great. After all, your singing is beautiful like the angel you are."
"Now you're teasing me. I can feel my cheeks blushing already. Although I am wondering about something…"
"And that would be?"
"My costume. What will the boys and Mine will be?"
"You'll find out. Trust me, you'll love it."
"Why do I get the bad feeling about it?"
Soon after that nice ride. We begin to arrive in Helmdallr at sunset. And then we begin to stop at Vainqueur street and enter the Le Sage Head Store.
"Sorry to make you guys pick these up." The owner apologize. "I think you'll be pretty happy with the way they turned out, though."
"Fantastic! I can't wait to see them." Rean smiled. "We really appreciate you making these for us so quickly."
"Yeah, we're very grateful too." I smiled
"Haha, this was no sweat compared to what Crow put me through last year." The owner chuckled. "He had me working like a madman. Last year's concert was great, though, so you can bet that I'll be there to see if you kids can top that." Then he turn to me. "And by Aidio's grace. You're the main vocal lead, aren't you? With that handsome face and smile, you definitely going to shine in the outfit. Girls want to be with you and men want to be you."
"You really think so? …Hold on…" I then turn to Rean. "Reaaaaan." I look at him with a flat face. "What KIND of outfits did you and Crow set me with?"
"I-It'll look great on you, I swear." Rean nervous smile.
"Now I'm even MORE curious."
"Okay, here's the first suitcase." Then the owner hand over the first one to Rean. "Let me go get the second one." Then we went to get the second one.
"I'll head outside first. Can you wait for the other one?" Rean asked
"Yep." I nodded
And then Rean waited outside and then the guy bring the second suitcase and then begin he give it to me and then we said our goodbyes… Hold on… Why do I sense a magical presence out by that door?
I exit the store and then see Rean was distracted
"Rean? What's up?" I eyebrow. "You look like something caught your attention. What's up?"
"Oh, um… I just got distracted by a strange bird on that lamppost, that's all" Rean said as he look at the Lamppost."
"How strange exactly?" I asked.
"I've just never seen a bird with feathers that color before. It was a really deep blue, almost like lapis lazuli."
"Really? Hmm..." I said as I think with my eyes close.
How curious. Wait… did this rare bird was the one with the magical presence just move all of the sudden?
"Levi? What's up?"
"Oh, sorry, just got curious about what's a rare bird doing here in Heimdallr."
"Who knows."
"Oooh, what do we have here?" A familiar voice called out as we turn and then see it's Vita in her Misty disguise.
"Oh, it's you."
"Vit- I mean Misty!" Rean look surprised. He almost spills the bean there.
"It's been a while hasn't it, you two?" Misty asked. "And thanks for not using my real name. If people here in the capital were to overhear you, I'd be drowning in fans in no time flat."
"Haha…. sure. Mum's the word. Fancy meeting you here, though. I assume you're here to shop?"
"You guessed it! This store does have a branch in Trista, but this one has a much better selection. What about you? What are you doing with those suitcases?" And then she smiled. "Heh. Two buddies going off on an exciting adventure together, huh? Ah, to be a teenager again."
"Hehe." I couldn't help but chuckled. "Well much as I love to say that we are, but..."
"We're here on business, actually…" Rean said
Then he explains to Misty about the school concert we're doing.
"Wow! A concert, huh?" Misty look excited. "That sounds like a blast! I'd love to drop by the festival and see it myself. Hmm… I might be able to go if I can free up a bit of space in my schedule."
"Haha. It'd be great to have you. Although, I can't imagine a professional like you would be terribly impressed."
"Oh don't be silly. Great music comes from the heart. And I can't wait to see you sing Mr. pretty boy. Whoops. Lost track of the time. I better get going! Well, bye for now! Be sure to tune in tomorrow!"
"Of course! I always do." Rean nodded
And then Misty enter the shop.
"It was nice seeing her again." I said. But then notice something. "Wait… what does she mean by tomorrow? Tomorrow is Friday. And Abend time is Sunday, right?"
"Oh yeah, you're right."
"But I also wanted to ask what does she by give her regard to those two." I wondered. 'Hmm… something doesn't feel right. Something big gonna happen.'
"Well, it doesn't matter. We should head back to Trista. I'm sure everyone's waiting for us."
"Yeah. That's true. We have to try our outfits after all. But I'm also curious about the outfits you and Crow decided. It's not flashy, is it?"
"Well… no? I'm sure you'll like it, though."

And so we begin to place in the luggage in the sidecar and then Rean begin to hop onto the bike and then I hope on the bike behind him and then wrap my arm around his waist… I don't know why but… I was blushing and my heart skip a beat and ride our way back to the Academy. By the time we arrived. It was nightfall.
It was the start of the evening by the time everyone else arrived at the schoolhouse. We guys had to change in the room with elevator whilst the girls changed on the stage in the main hall room. We heard the call from Sharon that it was okay to come back to the hall.
The outfits we had were quite impressive. We were dressed in white with red ties, I, however, had a different costume. Crow said it was because I'm the lead vocalist that I should look the part in being front and center.
As I look in the mirror. I look… I don't know how to describe it. I don't know if it's flashy. No… that isn't the right word… royalty? The outfit was a coat of white, black on the center with silver epaulet attach with a white cape. White gloves, Black trousers, black riding boots, and the inside of the cape was purple. The bottom was darker while going up is lighter. I even have a black choker on.
"Um… guys…" I walk out with my outfit and I look embarrassed as I blush. "Do I look… I don't know… flashy? Or something?"
My classmates even Sharon look surprised.
"H-Hey, say something!"
"Holy- Levi you look amazing!" Alisa exclaimed
"Yeah, you're seriously hot." Fie nodded
"You definitely have the mystique amount. I almost mistook you for a prince!"
"See, what did I tell ya?" Crow smirked. "To be the part, you gotta look the part. Although now that I think about it. I think I might have given my dear Levi here much credit. The girls will be all over him. And who would look at me?"
"THAT is what concerns you about?!" I frown.
"While I agree with Crow reasoning is downright ill. But seeing you in that attire truly is impressive. It suits you." Jusis said.
"Yeah, you'll definitely get anyone's attention! Heck, I wouldn't be surprised that anyone from the music industry woud want to recruit you." Elliot smiled. "Right Rean?"
Rean was blushing and speechless.
"Rean?"
"Huh? Oh um, yeah. You completely look amazing."
"Thanks guys…" I blushed as a frowned. "I just hope I don't get stage fright."
"Okay, that's enough." Crow said as he stood between us groups. "All right, are you ready to practice the night away?"
"We've only got a day and a half left and that's if you include today. No time to waste." Elliot added. "And that's why none of us are leaving this building until we can do a perfect run-through of our whole set."
"Yeah, practice makes perfect." I nodded.
"That's the spirit, Levi! Shall we?"
"And there they go..." Jusis sighed.
"Levi I understand that he's positive. But you're like a drill sergeant when it comes to music." Alisa sighed. "I hope you're not starting to take after Nethhardt."
Fie sighed. "We're not sleeping tonight, are we?"
Sharon giggled. "I'll be sure to bring you all a nourishing dinner later this evening."
"That's not the problem here..." Machias muttered.
"Well, I suppose there's not much more we can do than buckle down and give it our best shot." Gaius said.
"Fine... I suppose I'll just have to cast my shame to the wind and go through with it. Emma frowned and then she grumbled and cause us to sweatdrop. I think we broke her somehow. Or that it was Rean and Crow who did.
Our rehearsals finally began. I better not screw up. And later on. Crow came to me and discuss something else with me as well. About a surprised and the audience an encore. So he and I begin to think for another song. I don't mind but the others. I think they'll groaned. But Emma will be even more.
Dateline, October 23rd, 1204.
After a few days of rehearsal and Crow tells everyone we got more hard work. It was leading to the point as I predicted. But even so. Things are even more excited now. Today was the day and there was an announcement outside the school gates.
"Students and visitors. Thank you very much for your patience." Towa announced from the speakers somewhere. "Without further ado, I hereby declares the 127th Thors Military Academy Festival open! Enjoy yourselves today and have a wonderful time!"

The gates were opened by two students and the festival had begun. I hadn't been to one before, so this would be new to me.
"Our big moment isn't until tomorrow afternoon." Machias said. "So the best thing we can do today is simply enjoying the festivities and try not to think about the concert."
"That's exactly what I'm gonna do right now." I replied. "There's a lot of fun to be had here and I'm gonna engage in all of them!"
"I wish I have your positivity, Levi..." Emma groaned. "Well, I'm sure some of us have club obligations to attend to today. So perhaps we should each just do our own thing. Though it would be a good idea to meet in the auditorium at the end of the day to check all of our equipment for tomorrow."
Elliot agreed. "Yeah, I need to find out when our orbal instruments are going to be taken in."
"And we'll need to do a little bit of tuning, at the very least." Crow said.
Alisa nodded. "That sounds fine."
"A musician has to keep her instrument in top condition, just like a warrior does her weapon." Laura added.
Millium hummed. "Huh, I'm surprised everyone's so calm."
"Probably because I'm the one who has the biggest role and responsibility." I said. "I am the one who's gonna be at the center of it all."
"Yeah, but I was talking about the big news from Crossbell yesterday."
"Their declaration of independence?" Fie asked.
I frowned. "Millium, you have a habit of saying things at the wrong time."
"It's certainly grounds for concern, but at this point, I don't think the reality of it has sunk in for me yet." Machias added. "Honestly, I can't see the new Crossbell Defense Force as much of a force to be reckoned with, either."
"I say let them talk. Talk is cheap after all. Pride and independence are things one acquires through hard work." Jusis said. "A verbal deceleration holds little weight on its own, especially if they end up reneging on it soon after."
Laura hummed. "That's certainly true."
"Crossbell will still be there in two days, but right now, we've got a festival to focus on." Rean said. "We've got people here from all over the country and we owe it to them to show them a good time."
"With all the uncertainty in the world lately, that's all the more reason to try and help people forget their troubles." Elliot said. "Especially since our families will be coming to visit tomorrow."
Well aren't those with family lucky... Oh wait. Fie is the same with me... well... sort of... I really envy my classmates.
Then we all went our seperate ways. And then Towa gave me tickets. And I know what to do. Then I got a call from Rean and ask if I wanted to go horseback riding. Of course I say yes! And so I met him in the Super Stallion. Lambert is the one in charge of this festival activity. I was planning on coming here anyway. As I arrived. Rean is there.
"I'm kind of amazed that your club was able to set up a real racecourse like this on the academy field." Rean remarked.
"Well it was a heavy task, but the other clubs member help us." I replied.
"This event is a time attack that takes you through our specially-prepared racecourse." Lambert said. "Your mission is to complete a specified number of laps as quickly as possible, avoiding obstacles all the white. Beat the target and you'll find yourself the proud owner of a fabulous prize! Now then, which one of you will take this exciting challenge?"
"Will it be okay if I take the challenge on Lambert? I want to surpass the time I see during our practice runs."
"Haha! You don't need to ask, Levi. If anyone can, it's you, my fellow horse lover. Ride until your heart is full and spirit satisfied."
"You wanna cheer me on, Rean?"
"Of course, I know that you'll do your best." Rean answered, smiling.
I smiled and I gave Lamber the ticket.
"If you will, please make your way over to the starting line." Lambert instructed
I nodded and then head to the starting line. There was the brown horse. I got on the horse and stopped at the starting line.
"On your mark...get set...GO!"

The race began and I raced around the track on the horse, galloping as accurate as I could. I'm a skill rider so riding at this accurate is child's play to me. I crossed through the first and second lap at a good pace before making a last sprint on the final lap and I finished the race. I got off the horse and Lambert seemed impressed.

"Bravo! Splendid! Simply splendid! You managed to beat the course within the time limit! I expect no less from a fellow riding club member!" He praised.
"Hehe. I'm glad I live up to the challenge as a fellow skilled rider." I smiled.
"That was amazing, Levi. You truly are a skilled rider as you claimed." Rean said, smiling.
"What a marvelous performance." Lambert smiled. " Only one whose mind has become one with that of their horse's could manage such a feat. It is my honor to present you with this prize for your valiant efforts."
Lambert handed me a super stallion shield.
"Nice, this look wonderful!" I cheered
"Is it alright if I go too?" Rean asked
"But of course." Lambert nodded
"Cheer for me Levi?"
"Obviously. Good luck Rean!" I smiled.
Rean gave his ticket to Lambert and then he went to the starting line, got on the horse, and stopped at the starting line.
"On your mark...get set...GO!"

The race began and Rean raced around the track on the horse, galloping as accurate. I shouldn't expect nothing less from him. After all we did ride on Nord Highland. And he's a skill rider too. He crossed through the first and second lap at a good pace before making a last sprint on the final lap and he finished the race. Rean got off the horse and Lambert is also impressive and got the same thing I did. And so we begin to enjoy the rest of the festival has to offer.

As time flies and I had the best time of my life. Me and my classmates got underway with rehearsing the three performances one last time until it was around sunset time, so we wrapped it up, convinced that we were more than ready for tomorrow's concert.
"Ahhhh, that was so much fun." Millium said. "I wish we could have a festival every week."
"That might make things a bit lively around here... but it'd better than classes and homework." Fie stated.
"Personally, I was surprised by the variety of different attractions." Machias said. "There was so much to take in."
"Yeah, the other classes have really put together some impressive events." Alisa added. "We're going to have to make EXTRA sure we measure up with our concert."
Laura nodded. "Indeed. Nothing less than our best will cut it tomorrow."
Rean suddenly glanced around.
"Rean, is something wrong?" I asked.
"Nothing...I think." Rean answered. " But I could swear I heard someone calling me just now. Must've been my imagination."
That's odd. I didn't hear anyone calling his name. If it were a supernatural Force. I would had sense it... come to think of it. That feeling just now just went away. What was that all about?
Anyway, what do you think about one last meeting after dinner tonight? I'd like to discuss the details of our third song a little more."
"Sounds good to me."
Huh… is it me or… did I feel upset for some reason?

It was now evening and we had finished with our dinner, Sharon was taking care of Celine. We were all in agreement and excited about our concert. The Third song is perfect. Now we just had to rely on our luck and keep the crowd going for when the moment arrives. And then the discussion like Laura father, Alisa's mother, Jusis's brother, and Machias father are actually visiting since they are busy. Even Gaius' little brother.
"You can save yourself some chronic hand-wringing- I've just been informed that all of them will be able to make it." Instructor Sara said as she enter the room with us.
"Instructor?" Rean asked
"Is that true?" Alisa asked
"Sure is. They all called the academy about it earlier today, in fact." Instructor Sara answered. "The situation in Crossbell isn't so fire that it's going to have an immediate impact here in the Empire. So they've decided that the best thing to do is just attend as planned, to show everyone it's still business as usual."
Well that's good news for Laurs, Machias and anyone else.
"Anyway, never mind that. You've got your big day tomorrow, so I hope you're ready to teat it up on stage. Class I's got that operetta they're doing, right? I snuck a peek at their rehearsal earlier, and the amount of effort they're putting into the whole production is almost scary."
"So they're releasing as well?" I asked
"Yep. It looks like they went straight to the principal to ask for permission and he made a special exception for them. I figured they'd just coast along on their family pedigrees, but they're putting their hearts and souls into this. Whatever you guys said, you must've really lit a fire under them."
Hmph. If you ask me. Let them. I have full coincidence that we will win. Still, I mustn't be too coincidence. Besides, panicking about this isn't good. So our best objection is just let them and rest up our strength for tomorrow.
"Heehee. I'm impressed. You guys are a lot calmer than I thought you'd be." Instructor Sara said. "And here I was, all ready to lecture you if you seriously suggested rehearsing at this time of night."
"Uh, Instructor..." Rean sweatdrop.
"We wouldn't have even thought to do it if you hadn't come barging in here trying to scare us by telling us about Class I." Alisa sighed.
"She's just sulking 'cause she feels left out." Fie stated
"Yeah, I can definitely see that." I nodded
"Th-That's a dirty lie and you know it." Instructor Sara pouted.
Then suddenly, we heard a familiar bell. Wait... that bell.
"Hey... what's that sound?"
"Why are they ringing the bell this late?" Elliot asked
"Hold on." Crow called out. "It's not the school's bell. Can't remember ever hearing one like this around here before."
"Now that you mentioned it, it does sound different from the bell we normally hear." Machias nodded
"That bell... it can't be!" I exclaimed because that bell is the same as Lohengrin Castle.

"This is like the bell we heard in Lohengrin Castle, isn't it?" Rean asked
"Yeah, no doubt about it. That's the same bell back in Legram." I nodded
"That's impossible. And yet..." Jusis trailed off.
"What? What's going on, you guys?!" Millium asked.
"Lohengrin is that old castle in Legram, isn't it?" Alisa asked.
"Yeah. The one you told us that ghost story about." Fie added
"Yeah. Judging from the bell distance... it's nearby as we speak. Could it be...?" I said as the only thing that can is the Old Schoolhouse.
"It seems like things just took a turn for the strange." Instructor Sara said as she step out the door. "If Levi and I have a feeling of where this lonesome bell is tolling from. Come with me if you're curious."

We left the dormitory with Sara and walked all the way past the main building and over to the old schoolhouse where we had quite the surprise. The whole building was covered in a force field. Instructor Thomas, Towa, George and the principal were there too.
"So, you've come." The principal said.
"What's going on here?" Sara asked.
"I'm sure you've heard the tolling of the bell earlier. Apparently, as soon as that started, this barrier appeared. We've had several students testify that was the case, at any rate."
"It looks like it's covering the entire building." Towa said.
"I tried the direct approach and hit it with a hammer, but it just absorbed the impact." George added.
"Wow…" Rean look surprised
"So it's some sort of field that negates any physical force applied to it?" Alisa asked in surprise.
"I guess it's denying access to anyone who isn't worthy enough to travel through." I pondered as I noticed Celine arrive beside Emma. "But I may have a theory on this."
"Oh, then could you please explain?" The principal asked.
"It's okay, Rean. I've got this."
Rean nodded. "Alright."
"Since the first day when we started exploring the schoolhouse as part of our investigation, we have had to learn and adept the twists and turns that the building had provided us. Many times we've had to solve puzzles and many times we've had to overcome monsters, each one getting stronger than the last. However, it seems that our work at this place is not yet done, and whatever is behind it, there is likely a scenario that we'll be coming face to face with a foe that is responsible for all this happening. May I suggest that this should be left in the hands of Class VII? Because I have a strong belief that we're the only ones deemed worthy of entering its realm!"
Everyone was surprised at me, I nodded at Rean who then took over.

"He's right. Over the past month, we've poured everything we have into getting ready for this festival. Maybe we wanted to prove we could put on just as good a show as the other classes. Maybe we wanted to impress our families. Maybe it's just that being with friends and working to make something great is its own reward." Rean said. "But that's all just secondary right now. What's really important is our chance to leave a legacy here. To do something new classes might look at and aspire to. Winning or losing? That doesn't matter in the end. And it doesn't ultimately matter whether our show is a smash hit or totally tanks. Because what we worked for isn't fame or bragging right. We worked to put on the best damn festival we could. So all we're asking for is a chance to see that through. That's not too much to ask, is it?!"
"He's right you know!" Elliot nodded
"I'm with Rean and Levi on this too." Gaius nodded
"Perhaps the best we can put forth will amount to nothing, in the end…" Jusis said.
"But even if it does, as long as we have a chance to do something about it, we won't just take this lying down." Machias added
"Yeah. We spend way too long practicing to just throw it all away." Fie nodded
"'Sides, it'd be suuuper lame if we missed a chance to strut our stuff!" Millium added
"Since the beginning of the year, it's been our class' responsibility to investigate the old schoolhouse." Laura nodded
"That's right. And it just so happens that we haven't made our monthly visit yet." Alisa added
"You're really serious about this…" Sara look surprised
George sighed. "Sure looks that way."
"Man, hearing you guys so fired up brings a little tear to my eye." Crow smiled
"Well, I certainly admire your spirit, but spirit alone won't be enough to gate you past this barrier." Thomas said. "Oh...Rean, what's that light?"
We then noticed a light coming from Rean's ARCUS, then mine started to shine before everyone else's in our group. We took them out and we saw our master quartz shining together. The light is more or less the same as the one the barrier was showing.
THE TIME HAS COME… NOW REVEAL…
I heard that voice… the one from the Schoolhouse with Elise… But it wasn't just me. Rean then went over to the barrier and placed his hand on it with the ARCUS. Just as I thought.
"It looks like I was right all along." I said as I look at Rean seriously.
"Yeah." Rean nodded. "It's an invitation. Like I and the rest of Class Vll are being called in."
When we confirmed this, we turned to the others for the principal had something to say.
"It's currently 1940 hours. I'll permit you until 0000 hours to conduct your investigation." He said. "Any later and you won't get enough sleep to put on a rousing concert after all."
"Sir..." Rean replied as our group smiled in relief.
"You deserve the chance to earn that legacy you were talking about." Sara said. "To leave a light for those who'll come after. Go on. I'm not gonna chide you for being rash. Not this time, anyway."
"And may the goddess guide your steps." Thomas added. "Don't forget, too, that discretion is the better part of valor. Retreating isn't always a cowardly option."
I nodded "Alright, Let's do this!"
"Be careful in there, everyone!" Towa said. "We'll do whatever we can out here to back you up!"
"I'll leave the engineering building open for the night, so come on over if you need to use the facilities there." George added. "I'll go ask the shops and the cafeteria to keep the lights on for you, too."
"Thank you...all of you." Rean replied.
"We're counting on ya." Crow replied
"All right, let's go!" Elliot nodded

No more needed to be said, we walked through the barrier with no issue and walked inside to see the main hall had brightened up. We went to the elevator room and we could see an aura around the circle symbol. We all stepped on the elevator and the console had changed too, there was now a seventh floor available.
"So there IS the seventh floor!" Alisa exclaimed.
"I knew that sixth floor couldn't possibly be the last." Jusis added.
"Yeah, just as I thought. I just had this feeling that we would be back here." I reminded. "I remember saying it last month as well."
"My guess is that the seventh floor holds the key to answering all the questions we have about this place." Rean said. "Well, shall we see what lies beyond?"
"Obviously!" I responded.
Rean pushed the button and we journeyed down to the seventh floor to find an unusual large door at the end.
"This door looks familiar to the one we saw on the fourth floor." I said.
"Wh-What is this?" Machias asked in concern.
"Glowing cogs?" Fie asked
"We've seen some strange stuff in this schoolhouse since we started coming here, but I think this takes the cake." Alisa remark.
CONFIRMING RELEASE OF THE SIXTH LOCK...POTENTIAL AWAKENER DETECTED...THE TIME HAS COME...COMMENCING THE SECOND TRIAL.
The large door suddenly opened to reveal a portal, but that voice...Was that one of the Divine Knights just now?
"This looks the same as the red door on the forth floor. But…" Crow trailed off.
It seems like there's an even bigger surprise behind this one." Fie said.
"I'm very curious about this sixth lock and second trail business." Machias said. "Do you think the locks refer to each of the floors we've cleared so far?"
"What's a potential awakener?" Millium asked. "Is it talking to one of us?"
'Did it claim me as an Potential Awakener?' I thought.
"I can scarcely venture a guess." Laura answered. "But what seems certain is that we're here tonight because we were meant to be here."
"Yeah." Rean agreed before he clutched his chest. Looks like his powers from within are being affected by this.
"A-are you okay?" Alisa asked with worry.
I turning to Rean. "It's the mark on your chest, isn't it?"
"Yeah, it is..." Rean answered. "...but how do you know?"
"Call it intuition." I answered then stood in front of them. "I think it should be quite apparent, but we're heading somewhere no living soul has ever seen. Are you sure you're all prepared?"
"Well, well. You certainly seem to be in the know all about this." Jusis responded.
Emma look at me with a serious look as my eyes glimpse onto her and her familiar. Looks like she notice my staring at her and her cat.
Elliot notice with Emma and Celina. "Hold on. How long has Celine been here?" Elliot asked.
Celine just meowed. But I could already tell what her answer was.

"Back at the start of the year, I know we all had our doubts. But we've made it this far, because we've accepted each other for who we are. And I think being part of Class VII is a big part of that." Rean said. "Even if the world were to stand against us, we'd have each other. The challenges we face, we face together."
"Rean..." Emma said.
"He's right...whatever we have to face, no matter how weak or strong the obstacle is, there is no need to face it alone. We will always have each other...because Class VII is the best damn class there is!" I declared.
Alisa giggled. "Couldn't said it better myself."
"On my first day with Class Vll, I was sitting in a room full of strangers. Now, I know I'm standing among friends." Laura smiled
"That's Laura." Fie said with a smile. "Cutting right to the heart of it."
"Hmph. I don't recall ever accepting HIM," Jusis look at Machias.
"I-I could say the same about you!" Machias growled.
Oh boy.
Elliot chuckled. "Some things never change, do they?"
"Honestly, If they ever stopped bickering. I'd probably miss it. It's just one of those things that makes what we are." Gaius nodded
"Aww..." Millium frown. "You guys have a good thing going. Wish I was a part of it."
"You said it, short stack." Crow nodded as he place his hands over his head. "Dunno that there's much of a place for a lackadaisical second year, either."
"What kind of talk is that?" Rean asked. "You two belong here just as much as the rest of us. And I think you'll have to agree, Levi. As you said. Class Vll is the best there is."
"Hehe. Of course." I smiled. "What about you, Emma?" I turn to her.
Emma look surprised then smiled. "I may not not always show much in the way of class spirit, but I'm confident Class VII is the finest Erebonia has to offer."
"Then what are we waiting for?" Rean asked."No one might ever know what we do here tonight, but we're not doing this to prove to others how great we are. We're doing it to prove it to ourselves. To face down our fears, conquer it, and earn the answers we deserve."
"That's the spirit." I smiled as I step aside. "I not even going try to dissuade you all. Let's go earn our chance to leave our mark on this academy!"
"Yeah!" Rean nodded
(Trails of Cold Steel ost - To Grasp Tomorrow)
We walked through the portal and we found ourselves at a massive wide area. A separate plane of temples, gears… the trial of an Awakener. The Realm of the Great Shadow.
"Wooaaaaaahhh!" Millium said.
"I'd expected to see something that defied explanation, but this is beyond imagination." Machias added.
Laura folded her arms. "Still, this trial is ours to overcome, and overcome it we shall."
"Yeah, you're right." Alisa nodded. "So how about it, Rean? Any words of wisdom from our fearless leader?"
"Huh? What do you want me to say?" Rean asked.
"Pretty much you want, Rean." I smirked "After all, we gotta have a little pep talk before we begin the mission."
"Yep. Just think of it as another of our old schoolhouse adventures." Elliot nodded.
"Let's do this, bossman!" Crow nodded as he fist bump his hand.
"Heh." Jusis smirked. "Just don't say anything you might regret later."
"You guys aren't making this any easier." Rean sighed. Then he step forward and turn to us. "All right, Class Vll. Our mission is to explore the seventh floor of the old schoolhouse and find a way to return the building to normal. Are you ready to give this everything you've got!?"
"Right!"
Emma insisted to come along, probably because it's her role as a witch. Rean then picked Alisa, me, Jusis, Laura and Elliot. We started our exploration of what could well be the longest and the last floor of this entire schoolhouse. The puzzle of this floor respond to the types of weapons we all have. After overcoming the first area, we entered the second part of the floor which was more indoors and had unique switches around. The monsters is just like how I was during my training with Master Makarov.
The exploration of the second area took longer due to the mechanisms behind the switches and how each one reacted to the required weapon attack type. Ones that needed trust attacks were ideal for me due to my Glaive.
We soon cleared the way to the third area which was more like the first one, but the coloring and the presence of the magic around was more gold and orange. There was only one very long straight line to travel on. As we got closer, I sense something powerful getting closer.
We made a quick dash across the very long and narrow path until we reached the other side and the giant door opened. We entered a small hallway with nothing but darkness on the other side as well as an orbal portal that we had seen across the other floors of the schoolhouse.
NOW...REVEAL...UNTO ME THE COLOR OF THY SOULS...
"What was that?" Alisa asked.
"I'm not sure whether I heard it or my mind simply understood." Jusis replied
"You heard it, too?" Rean asked.
"It seems as though we're linked even more closely through our ARCUS units now." Emma answered. "I imagine we're getting close now. That area ahead is probably the last."
Yeah. We're almost there.
We walked through the darkness and then noticed a large door with a red sphere in the middle.
"A door?" Fie asked.
"It's a got a jewel in the center." Alisa said. "No wait, maybe an orb?"
"It seems familiar, somehow..."Laura replied.
"It looks like the orb back in Lohengrin Castle that summoned Nosferatu." I replied.
The orb suddenly glowed that booming voice spoke again.
THOU WHO WOULDST BE AN AWAKENER...HERE EXISTS A FRAGMENT OF THE GREAT POWER...IF THOU SEEKEST TO CLAIM IT, PROVE THY WORTH. COMMENCING THE FINAL TRIAL...
"Wait, what is this great power?" Rean asked. "And what final trial?"
Celine hissed.
"Be careful! It's drawing us in!" Emma exclaimed.
The area we were in suddenly became disturbed and the light blinded us. Our bodies felt like we are being push forward. A few later, light then faded away and we opened our eyes to find our surroundings tuned on its head. All around us was a colorless field of sand with countless amounts of swords stuck into the ground. I touch my chest. I feel hurt… what is this? Those Swords… are they…
I sense a powerful presence coming towards us.
Celine suddenly meowed.
"Be careful! It's coming!" Emma warned.

In the center of the sand...a massive pool of black mist appeared and then a giant monster rose from below the mist, revealing itself as a giant black beast with several mists around it...almost like a shadow monster of sorts. I know what that is… Loa Erebonius, the Ashen Power.
The giant shadow roared at us and we drew our weapons out. I hear Elliot panicked
"Is this it for us?" Alisa asked.
"There's no way out but victory." Jusis respond.
"Stand tall! We're stronger than our fear!" Laura said, proudly.
"Target confirmed. Commencing assault!" Fie replied.
"Rean, anything to say?" I asked.
"This is it, the final trail." Rean said. "We stand before a great darkness, but remember, darkness can't exist where light is. Let's be that light!"
The great shadow roared again and the final battle began. We had to bring anything and everything we had. As Rean, Jusis, Alisa and I buff the team. We begin to charge. The Smaller shadows begin to laucned their laser beam at us as the great shadow roaed and launch it's own attack as we dodge. Emma use her Scraft on the little shadows. Then Laura follow up with her S craft. Soon we begin to deal with the little shadow with ease. We soon begin to deal with the big shadow. I cast my Arts on it along with Emma while the rest launched their attacks. Thanks to the buffs. We were able to deal some damaged onto it. The Great shadow roared and then suck one of us. Unfortunately. it suck me and i was trap. Then Alisa launched her S craft onto it and then I was freed. I buff everyone again and Jusis buff us too. Soon we begin to strike all over. The shadow strike and claw everywhere as we strike. Fie shot from the distance with Alisa and Elliot. And then I use Wave of Aquarius at it and dealt strong damage. The great shadow summoned more minions. Elliot use his S craft on them and dealt with them. Then Rean, Laura and I dealt strong attack and we all follow up attack. I begin to unleash my own strong attack. Jusis jab, slash and strike then buff us and then Emma use her crafts as the great shadow let out some slash but Laura let a strong attack from behind. I follow up with Rean with powerful strikes ourselves. While the great shadow roar, its overwhelming presence. But we would never give up, not even against such a foe that was this powerful and formidable. I saw my opportunity to deliver the final blow...Sirius Storm...even a monster this intimidating was engulfed in my special craft. The giant shadow stood back and began to falter on one knee before roaring to the black sky.

TERMINATING THE FINAL TRIAL...TAKE HEED, AWAKENER...HERE EXISTS A FRAGMENT OF THE GREAT POWER...THE FLAME AND THE JAWS THAT DEVOUR THE WORLD...
We were then surrounded by a massive flamed circle before we were blinded by the light.
"Emma! You have to see this through to the end!" Celine's voice exclaimed
Several moments passed and I opened my eyes, sitting up to see that we were back inside the depths of the seventh floor. I shook my head and stood up. I saw the others that were still down.

"We're... back where we were?" Alisa asked
"Was it all some kind of dream?" Jusis asked
"No, it wasn't a dream." I said as I got up. "It was real."
Millium giggled. "Welp, doesn't look like anyone's missing an arm or anything like that."
"Coming in to see you all spread out on the ground wasn't exactly the kind of surprise I wanted." Gaius added
"We rushed in and just saw you lying here, and my heart practically jumped out of my chest." Elliot added.
Everyone else began to stir and we noticed the others that had arrived, along with Towa, George and Sara.
"You're all here too." Rean said.
After taking a moment to dust ourselves down, we took a moment to explain.
So that was how awakener's did their trial… Fascinating.
"So… what WAS that, Emma, Levi?" Rean asked.
"I believe what we experienced was some sort of vision. Which would mean what we saw wasn't, strictly speaking, real." Emma answered. "But it does seem like in overcoming it, we managed to pass the trial that was mentioned earlier."
"Not only that. But the Barrier have vanished too." I added as I look around.
"The bell stopped ringing and that field of energy around the building is gone." Towa answered.
"We won't know for sure without a more thorough investigation." George added. "But it looks like the building's gone back to normal, too."
"Well, that's the best news I've heard all night." Rean replied. "So now we can go ahead and have the festival tomorrow, just like it should be, right?"
"That would depend on the time right now." I said. "We were in here for a long while, I wouldn't be surprised if it was 11:00 pm by now."
"Close but not close enough, it's actually 11:40 pm." Instructor Sara corrected. "You achieved your goal with twenty minutes to spare. And considering the principal only gave you until midnight, I think you all should be marching straight to bed. After all, you've got your big show coming up this in the afternoon."
Rean chuckled. "You bet we do."
"All right." Alisa clap her hands. "Let's head back to the dorm, take a quick shower, then go-"

Then suddenly she was interrupted by a click behind us. That red jewel that was there disappeared. And the door itself began to open. And what's beyond the door was an extraordinary sight. It was a large room that contained a mechanical armored knight…
"That's…" My eye widen in shock. That's the Divine Knight… the Ashen Knight. Valimar.

"So. They arrived where the Ashen Knight. All according to plan." I said while I was riding my horse familiar in the sky by the academy. "And it seems dear Rean is the Awakener. As the tales foretold. If it were 'him'. I would have to change it. But I'm glad things are going well… however, I still have to make sure to keep that parasite from observing him. No matter the cloak and distance.
(Levi POV.)
Dateline, October 24th, 1204.

The second day of the school festival had arrived and we just couldn't get over what we had seen last night. The mystery behind the old schoolhouse seemed to had been temporarily solved
We were standing on stage inside the auditorium and how empty it was...but won't be, later.
"Good, good. This shouldn't feel any different than our rehearsals." Elliot said. "The only difference is that all of that space out there will be filled with a crowd of people."
"But that's the worst part." Emma whimpered.
"Oh, nonono. You're not getting out of this one." Alisa said to Emma.
"A girl's gotta be brave." Fie added.
"Same for us guys." I sighed.
"Hoo-rah! Time to go out there and knock those boys dead with a sexy wink!"
'You're not even close to being sexy!' I thought
"Jusis, Machias, how're you guys feeling?" Gaius asked
"I'm fine... about everything except this pairing." Machias answered
"Well, at least we agree on something." Jusis muttered
"Heh. If you've got the energy to bicker, we've got the energy to do this show." Rean nervous smile
"Looking at us now, we'd never guess at the ordeal we went through last night." Laura replied
"You're tellin' me." Crow sighed
Ah yes. Last Knight where we discovered the Divine Knight. The Ashen Knight Valimar. So the Old Schoolhouse is actually a building crafted by the Gnomes where Valimar is rest. The group would love to investigate further but no. We got more important things to deal with.
"Well, for now, you just stay focused on the concert. Your families should be here pretty soon, right?" Crow asked.
"O-Oh, is it that time already?" Alisa asked.
"Yeah, I guess it IS almost time for my dad to show up." Machias answered.
Gaius hummed. "I guess I'd better go out to meet my brother."
"I guess I should excuse myself as well." Laura said.
"Okay, see you all for the main event." Elliot added.
Rean nodded. "All right. Give my best to all your families."
Most of our friends left us to be with their relatives, Crow, Millium, Fie and I then left to spend the second day of the festival before our concert show. I begin to head to my dorm room and then cast a sound barrier.
"Hamsuke, Luka." I summoned my familiars and then they appeared. "I assume you know what transpired last night?"
"Yes. We were surprised as you are." Luka nodded. "So the Divine Knight Valimar. And the Old Schoolhouse is a building crafted by the Gnomes."
"It certainly took a surprise. But I believe that is the reason why Emma is here. To perform the potential Awakener to the Divine Knight." Hamsuke nodded.
"Considering her Clan's duty. It's add up. But who is the awakened I have no idea. I would love to find out but i can't George and Crow are there investigating. I will find out later."
"Right. You should head to your friends. It's going to begin." Luka nodded
"Right." I nodded and then my familiar return to my shadow and then I dispel the sound barrier and then head to my friends.
It was around the afternoon and our group were all dressed up, we watched as Class I's opera performance came to an end. Even though we had our issues with them in the past, they were pretty darn impressive and the crowd cheered when the show was over.

"That was incredible." Rean commented.
"Not bad I suppose." I said.
"Well... I'm impressed. I had no idea how much work they'd put into this." Alisa nodded
"Hmph. Well, I have to confess, it's better than I'd anticipated." Jusis comment.
"That's going to be one touch act to follow. Can we really measure up?" Machias asked
"Now i'm not so sure." Emma frown. "Are people really going to be into our song after seeing a performance like that?"
I sighed. "You two are being so negative. I'll admit. It's impressive how much effort they put into their performance. But we can do this. If you keep being negative. You'll only hurt yourself and drag us with it. Believe in yourself. And let's stay positive and give a smile for them to see."
"Listen to your Class President." Instructor Sara comment. "Don't start gettin' all wishy-washy on us now. If your rehearsal are anything to go by, you're gonna bring down the house."
"You really think so?" Alisa asked.
Sounds like we're gonna have to go one better than them." I added. "No pressure though, all we saw was opera, we have varied music on our side."
"She's right. We'll be fine." Elliot nodded
"Our concert packs more than enough impact. Don't overthink this too much." Crow nodded. "As Class Pred said, you just gotta believe!"
Gaius chuckled "This is no time to start doubting ourselves."
"What more can we give them our best?" Laura asked with a smile
"Well, hopefully, all those practice sessions help us get it right when we're in the spotlight." Rean replied "As soon as Class I clears out their set and props, we need to start setting everything up!"
"Roger." Fie nodded
"I'm so excited, I could explode!" Millium exclaimed.
We saw the class leave the stage and then we made our way down the stairs behind the stage where our musical instruments would be.
"We're coming in, okay?" Towa asked as she came in through the side door behind us.
"Towa, George?" Rean asked
"Here to give a little comfort to the weary soldiers fighting the good fight?" Crow asked.
"I'll let you be the judge of that." George answered.
Towa giggled. "Actually, we have a special guest who insisted on seeing you."
"Oh, a special guest, who?" I asked.
"Comin' in" A familiar voice said.
We then saw a familiar person arrive in a long purple dress.
"Angelica?!" Alisa exclaimed.
"Looks like I made it just in time for the main event!" She replied. "Kinda disappointed I missed the operetta though. Heard Class I was really on fire."
The three came up towards us to speak with us.
"You made it." Rean said.
"Just barely." Fie added.
"But man...when did you get to be such a babe?" Crow asked.
"Heh. Well a good suit and tie are more to my taste, but this was part of the deal I made with my dad to let me come." Angelica answered. "He said I could visit the festival if I agreed to meet a few prospective candidates for an arranged marriage. So... here i am, dress and all. You'd better get a good look now- who knows when I'll wear something like this again?"
"Well, if that's your aim, you're certainly well dressed for victory." Laura said.
"Yeah, I but I think it might draw out your charm a little TOO well." Alisa added. Most normal people would take one look at you and think you're completely out of their league."
Emma giggled. "You do look lovely though."
"Thanks, but honestly, I've got nothing on the rest of you fair maidens." Angelica said then turned to me. "I also hear that you will be front and center from start to finish."
"Yep. I just hope I don't screw up though." I replied with a nervous laugh. "But I'm ready for it."
"Good to know, when it starts, knock 'em dead!" Angelica then hugged Alisa and Emma. "Ahhh... Nothin' like the pure fresh scent of a woman~ All I've had to look at since going back home is my dad's grumpy old face. I'm in heaven now."
'And there she goes..' I thought.
"Good grief." Jusis frowned.
"Well, I suppose some things never change." Machias added.
"Come on, Angie." Towa said.
"All right, I got my fix. Time to move on to my little aldies!" Angelica said then moved away and then did the same thing with Fie and Millium before pulling away. "Ahh... So warm. So soft~"
Millium giggled. "That tickles!"
"I should've seen this coming." Fie sighed
"Angie, don't get too carried away now." George sighed
"You DO know they could file a sexual harassment claim, right?" Crow muttered
It was almost time to start, so we grabbed the instruments we needed and placed them on stage. The curtains had been kept closed so we could set up in peace. Once everything was ready, I stood in front of the mic and the lights went out.
"Thank you for your patience everyone." Towa's voice announced from the speakers. "Next, our academy's very first Class VII is proud to present a concert."
A light then shined on me, this was my cue to start the first song.
"Thank you everyone for coming to our class's concert. My name is Levi and we're looking forward to give you a performance you will never forget." I spoke. "We're gonna get things started with our first song that we learned, so get ready to rock along with us!"

With that, we began the first song. Our arrangement for this one was that Gaius was on the drums, Crow is the Saxophone, Jusis is the Trumpet, Machias was on bass guitar, Elliot is the Piano, Rean is the guitar and I was leading the way as the vocalist.

We finished the first song and everyone in attendance cheered with Angelica who was wooing a lot. I couldn't believe it. They love it. I was overwhelmed with joy. I couldn't help but unleash a smile that the audience feels charmed by it.
"Thank you everyone for joining in!" I spoke before taking a quick drink of bottled water and throwing it to Crow who caught it. One down, two to go. And then the second song with Jusis and Machias. After the second song was over and everyone applauded with smiles. I could see our Instructor in the back who was shedding a few tears. Two down, one more to go and everyone of us had a part for the last one. The encore the audience wanted The feeling of performing this one altogether was an amazing buzz and the lyrics we had to learn was quite a treat.
(?'s POV)
I was at the left side of the auditorium. There I was listening to 'him' singing his song before Machias and Jusis then Emma. Along with his team. It was truly beautiful. I couldn't help but feel so proud.
"He really has grown… beyond my expectation." I turn to Makarov who face is covered by his hand.
"Yes… I couldn't be more proud." Makarov sniffed.
"Crying are we? I can't blame you." I smiled and look at the stage.
(Levi's POV)

The concert was then finished and we exited the stage before being told that the instruments and props would be taken care of. We then changed back into our uniforms and left the auditorium and delivered a group high five
We were in the classroom by sunset and we were exhausted. We put a lot of work into it. So I can't blame them. Still. I'm so happy. I will never forget this.
"Bah. A sorry sight you lot are." Patrick muttered as he barge into our classroom.
"Patrick?" Rean asked
"What business do you have here Patrick." I ask in a stern tone and giving him a glare.
"Please compose yourself, Levi. I'm not here to pick a fight." Patrick sighed. "I know you're tired. We're ALL tired. But that doesn't excuse this level of indolence!"
"Hmph. What concern is it of yours?"
"Heh. At least you can let us bask in the afterglow of our performance before the moment fades." Laura replied.
"Still, I have to hand it to you guys. You really pulled out all the stops for that operetta." Rean comment.
"It was really something. You could take that act to the theater and perform to a sold-out crowd." Elliot smiled
"Great casting, too. Ferris fit her role to a T." Alisa smiled
"I wasn't sure what to expect, but I really enjoyed it." Gaius nodded
"Y-You did?" Patrick asked as he smiled
"Why of course we did." I comment. "We can see the hardship you and your class performed. It was truly magnificent. You and your class put a lot of your heart and soul into it. A truly praiseworthy performance if I do say so myself."
"Why I'm honored to hear such words from you. I can't say I'm surprised, though. Given the raw level of talent on display, who'd expect anything less than perfection- Wait. Are you mocking me?"
"Patrick. Do not mistake our compliments for insults."
"Oh, right. My apologize. Wait. That isn't what I meant!"
"And what do you mean by that? Enlighten us."
"Well if you're all languid and moping around, how do you think WE feel!?"
"Aha... we did it, didn't we?" Crow smirked
Patrick frown. "Pulling that third song out of nowhere is hardly what I'd call fair play. Especially with Levi performance and his singing! You even had ME singing along. I... cant even consider our little wager still valid after that! G-Good day!" And then he ran off but stop. "Oh and Levi. Good luck." And then he left our classroom.
Okay that was strange of him. And what does he mean by good luck? Though he doesn't seem to mock us or anything.
"Congrats, everyone! You did it!" Towa's voice said on the other side of the door and them she enter with Instructor Sara, George and Angelica.
"What do you mean by that, Towa?" I asked. Then click. The vote. "Wait... does this mean!?"
"That's right. But for the rest of you don't know. Remember a certain poll where festival attendees get to vote on their favorite attraction?" George asked. "Well, the results are in."
"We won, didn't we?" I asked as my eye widen.
"Good numbers all around, but Classes l and Vll were the clear favorites." Angelica replied
"And this year's winner, with 1512 votes... Is Class Vll's concert!" Towa cheered.
I can't believe it yet I can. Our class won the poll for favorite festivity with Class I coming second. Next up was the after party with some bonfire out in the academy field.

When it was the start of the evening, we watched as the fires in the woods lit up in the middle. There was music playing in the background and nearly all of the students were dancing around the field in pairs.
"Hey there Levi." Rean said as he approached me.
"Oh hey, Rean, what brings you here?" I asked
"Just decided to have a chat with you. You seems to be lonely, So I thought I should keep you company."
"Hehe. You're too kind, Rean. Is this your way of paying me back?" I ask with a smirk.
"Not really. Still, I had to admit. Your song and your performance was so captivating that I almost lose myself there."
"I don't blame you. Honestly. even I surprise myself. Not only that. I understand what Patrick meant by good luck. When I step outside. I was swarming with fangirls. Nobles, and commoners. It was too much for me to handle."
"That explain the screaming fans. You okay?" Rean asked
"Yeah. But barely." I sighed. "That reminds me. Weren't you going to dance with your sister?"
"Well, I asked her to dance with me, but she turned me down in no uncertain terms." Rean nervous laugh as he scratch his hair. "Anyway, want to go sit down somewhere? I'm totally wiped out after today. All I want to do is get a drink and some rest."
"Same here. Shall we?" I nodded with a smile. "After what I've been through. I needed a break."
"Let's do it."

Me and Rean begin to head towards the cliff where we can use to sitdown and watch the students dancing.
"I had to admit. I never thought school life or this life would be fascinating. Or fun at least." I said
"What were you expecting then?" Rean asked
"I was expecting like since this is a military school… well… a military school. I only travel a small part of the Empire, but this is the first time I got to travel to places in Erebonia because of Prince Olivert. I didn't expect him to be the Head of the school. Not to mention his ideals as Class Vll. But… I really owe that prince…. And my adopted Grandfather. I made many good friends. But you Rean… You're somewhat special." I smiled
"Special Huh?" Rean asked. "I can say the same thing about you. We both seem to have a heavy burden we care about. And yet. You were able to… make me feel like I'm not alone to carry such a burden. What you said back at the Viscount estate. It really help. I can feel a part of mine is relief of someone who understands. And that's you. Thanks Levi. I couldn't have made it this far without you. Thanks for being by my side the entire time." Rean smiled.
I was speechless and as I can feel my cheeks red. "Oh man, Rean. You really shut me through the heart. Seriously, how are you good at this cheesy thing?"
"Cheesy? I guess it did sound like that, doesn't it?" Rean chuckled.
"Oh yeah, if you keep that up, I will fall In love with you." I chuckled.
"Wha-?" Rean look surprised
"But still. Thank you Rean. I'm really glad we became friends… You're the first friend who taught me a lot. That Erebonia is true nobles like you. A true friend… You're the first Erebonia friend I know. And always will be. I will always treasure our friendship. And I hope we continue finding who we are." I smiled
"I'm looking forward to it. Thanks Levi." Rean smiled
"And you know…" I said looking at the sky. "I think it maybe time I reveal my burden."
"You will?"
"Yeah. You and everyone now deserve it… after all… you show me your burden… and now… I will show you mine. It would be fare since there are many mysterious I have."
"Yeah. I'm looking forward to that."
Rean and I continue to watch the fire go. One memory I will hold in my heart. I hope I can get more... Someday...somewhere.
Phew! Finally! You had no idea how long it was! I had to start all over from scratch! I was so angry! But finally! Here we are! Anyway. Look at all that transpired. Oh and I use one of my favorite songs. It suits this, don't you think? I feel like I had Levi steal Emma's moment...And this is one good bonding moment for Rean and Levi. I hope their friendship blossom more. I wonder what I could be missing. Oh yes. Who is that person Makarov, the master is with. He seems to know something. And what is this plan? Something is mysterious about him.
