"Okay...from what it looks like, the monsters only stay within certain parts of the coral garden. Specifically, staying to specific coral colors." Erza said.
"So...if we find the right patch of coral...we find whatever they're protecting." Naofumi said.
"Which is gonna be difficult seeing as how this whole place has an endless rainbow of coral." Gankoomon said.
"Hmm?" Selena said as she approached a strange looking patch of coral that had small reflective glints on it. "Strange, this patch of coral is coated in ice, yet it's barely affected by this cavern's temperature."
"So? It's a vast ocean. I'm sure lots of things are coated in ice like...icefish." Jet said.
"Are those even a thing?" Aoesia asked.
"Actually, yes they are. However those kinds usually reside in very cold waters like the Antarctic." Sojiro said.
"This is the ocean universe, after all. There's likely all kinds of coral here from all over." Kendo reminded.
"Uh...yes...I suppose that is true." Selena said.
"Hmm...through the way the coral is planted…" Mermista said, looking it over. "Can someone get an overhead view?"
"Of course." Gabiru said taking flight. "What is this? The coral...it's planted in the shape of an arrow!"
"I see...so the unique coral of this universe...is made to be like trail markers to something incredible." Mermista said. "Meaning...we follow the coral...we find our treasure."
"Nice job Mermista, Selena." SE said. "Now we know the right way to go."
"Heh. Another Mer-Mystery solved." Mermisa smirked. "Cmon, let's tell the others so we can regroup and follow the trail."
The other groups were contacted, and after meeting up, followed the coral trail markers in correct order.
The group soon reached the center as there was a large amount of coral colored in all different colors.
"Merde...Rainbow coral…" Le Kraken said.
"Yes, it's quite the magnificent sight." Sectonia said as a few people started taking pictures of the sight.
"No...you don't understand. Rainbow coral was thought to have been extinct for a long time now. But...here it is. Meaning...this coral...it must be the treasure." Sheer said. "A breed brought back from the brink of extinction."
"All she did was compliment it. Sheesh…" David said.
"David's right. I think we all understand why this coral is here." Hope said.
"I'm sorry….I was just caught up in seeing this coral. I just sort of lost my senses. It was thought to be a myth but here it is. Sitting here...alone….something's not right here." Sheer said.
"Yeah...the last couple of gardens had monsters hiding in them." Kazuma said.
"Meaning it's safe to assume that there's a big one here as well." Leopardmon said.
"Hmm… I do see your point. Usually a sight like this comes with a sense of dread." Jade C said.
"We should be on guard. We don't really know what will jump out to attack." Hope said.
Just then a fin was seen moving around in the water before jumping out of it was a giant white and blue dragon like fish that spun in midair, forming icicles as it soon dove back into the water as the icicles then fell down.
"Watch out!" Ace said, pushing Hope out of the way of one of the falling icicles.
"What the heck was that?" David asked.
"I thought it was only a legend, but it really does exist...Rahab." Nesma said.
"The sea dragon Rahab?!" Theo said.
"The very same, it looks like." David said.
"The demonic angel of the sea." Shanoa said.
"It looks pretty tough. But we're tough ourselves." Adora said.
"Plus...it may be a dragon...but…" Jexi said as lightning surged through his arm before blasting the dragon with a bolt of it. "It's still weak to electricity!"
"Oh, I'm going to enjoy this." Sectonia said.
"I shall assist." Philia said as she began readying a spell. "O bequest of the Lord, feel judgment now! Indignation!" she called as she raised Clemente with a glyph forming above Rahab, striking it multiple times and damaging it. "Lady Sectonia!"
Sectonia draws both of her blades as they charged with lightning. "This ends now." she said as she charged at Rahab and zipped at him from every direction. "My blades shall bring you down to your knees. Breath of Thunder, Sixth Form: Shockwave Blitz!" Sectonia called out as Rahab was dealt multiple scratches from her blade strikes, lightning spilling out from the wounds.
"Thunderbolt!" Pikachu called out as lightning struck the large dragon.
The dragon teetered a bit before collapsing onto the ground.
"One final strike. "Ultimate Color….Lightning Shot Gun!" Jexi said, hitting the ground as multiple lightning bolts rained down on the dragon, finishing the beast for good.
"That was fun." Hope said. "I'm glad the rainbow coral wasn't damaged either."
"Indeed...this really is a magnificent sight." Le Kraken said. "Though...can't say the same for the glass dome surrounding the garden." he said as they looked up to see the glass started to crack.
"What the… Do you think we went a little too rough? The dome is about to shatter!" Sectonia said.
"Stop talking and run. We're all gonna drown when it cracks!" Ajna said as they ran back towards the entrance and ran up the passage before reaching the exit just as the cave collapsed.
"Oh man… do you think the coral is okay?" Kaibara asked.
"The water wouldn't have harmed it, so it should be fine." Sheer said.
"Yeah. I think it's safe down there. Still, it was a pretty fun place to explore." Hope said.
"You know, this way the Rainbow Coral will remain protected from poachers." Ace said. "Something thought lost to the depths of time must continue to flourish so that its life can continue on through to the future and beyond."
"C'est très vrai. That is the way the ocean works. It conceals the beauty that is forever unattainable by those who live on the surface." Le Kraken said.
"With that...only 8 dungeons are left to clear now." Hope said.
"Right...Future, Magical Girl, Adventure, Shinto, Idol, Psychic, Fight and Elemental." Theo said.
"In that case...how about we try the Psychic Universe next? Haven't been there before." Ethox asked.
"We have, though." David motioned to some of his team from the Ultra Hero Battle. "It was only a small part, but it felt like a mesh of several different worlds. That's where we met Shyvana. Not sure where her world is officially, though."
"Ah...you're talking about the Dreamscape. It's a unique dimension where the dreams of psychics come alive." Mirror Match said. "If someone wanted to put a dungeon in there...it's likely where they put it. Truth is, the Anarchy Kings tried to recruit from the Psychic Universe. But...we kept ending up in the Dreamscape. Apparently, it's a protective barrier that keeps nonpsychics out of the universe."
"That's the same description people were giving for the Psychic Universe dungeon. That means…" Theo said.
"They're the same place." most of them said.
"Oh boy oh boy… I wonder what kind of people we'll see when we get there. Anything is possible in that place." David said.
"Exactly, which is why we'll need to be on our toes." Mirror Match said as they saw the ship arriving with Nemo.
"Oh guys, you're back. Come on, we need to go go go!" Nemo said.
"Something wrong, Nemo?" Molotok asked.
"Oh Nemo…" a mermaid called. "Don't tell me you plan to leave your wife now."
"Wait, wife? Good gods, Nemo, what the hell did you do?" David asked.
"Well...it started innocently, me flirting with mermaids...then one thing led to another...next thing I know, we're hitched." Nemo said.
"...We're coming back after this is over, I hope you realize that." Ethox said seriously.
"Yes, sir." Nemo sighed.
"Until then, we'll make sure to take very good care of him, I promise." David said, holding her hand. "Unless of course… You want to come along too."
"Hmm… I'm not so sure I'll be much help on your adventures. Mermaids don't really do well on dry land." the mermaid pondered.
"Relax, I was joking. Just trying to lighten the mood...and to mess with Nemo a little bit." David said as she sighed in relief.
"Not cool!" Nemo said.
As the group boarded the ship, the mermaid looked to the skies as the Galaxy king took off.
"What a nice group. I wonder if my beloveds group will come back? Not just so i can marry.. But also so that they'll take care of the dreaded city underwater…." she said before diving back into the sea.
