"Whoa...freaky." Setsuna said as the Galaxy King flew through the strange cloudy mass that was the Dreamscape.
"Yep...just as strange as last time." Sunset said.
"Hard to believe all of this was dreamed up by psychics." Naofumi said.
"Yep. Quite the kind of place that boggles your mind, isn't it?" David asked.
"Ow…" Litty said as she held her head.
"This is quite a lot to take in." Yoko said.
"No...it's not that. It's just I'm getting a lot of thoughts screaming into my mind." Litty said.
"Yeah, I'm getting that feeling too. So many voices in my head, no wonder the Dreamscape is shaped like this." Yoko said.
"What's wrong with them?" Luffy asked.
"Psychic feedback. They're picking up the scattered thoughts of the psychics who are currently sleeping via their telepathy." Sheer said.
"Will you two be alright?" Marta asked.
"Well...it's like a thousand chalkboards scratching on the inside of my brain...but I think if I just try to ignore it, I can manage." Yoko said.
"Same here." Litty said. "This place makes the Astral Plane look tame."
"So David. You've fought here during the Ultra Hero Battles first round. What was it like being here for a time?" Hope asked.
"Well, how can I describe it? It was like we were in several worlds that were melded together." David said.
"Sunset and I can attest to him in that remark. We were here with him." Cheetah said. "From the air I was picking up at the time, it felt as though the psychics in their slumber connected various worlds together."
"It makes sense. A number of psychics can view into other worlds through their psychic powers. They rarely ever need to leave their universe at all." Sheer said.
"I wonder if Professor X, Jean Grey, and Emma Frost would fit into that category." Ajna said.
"I somehow doubt it. Most psychic powers require conscious thought." Himeno said. "But considering what this place is about, we're not exactly sure if said thought applies here."
"Unfortunately it does not. This place is born from unconscious thought. No control. Like Ishihara said...anything can happen here." Mirror Match said pointing to a makeshift city where giant monsters were fighting. "But some just copy off what they see on TV or read in books or play in games."
"It's as the old saying goes, the mind is the most dangerous weapon of all." Leopardmon said.
"Exactly. When we tried to break through, we almost got killed by rampant thoughts." Ethox said. "So we just gave up on recruiting a king from here at the time."
"So, maybe if we clear this dungeon, we'll gain access to the universe in its entirety?" Frosta asked.
"That is a lot to ask for. For one, this isn't really a dungeon." Theo said. "It's a lot more dangerous than a dungeon."
"Yeah. This is a living amalgamation of the unconscious mind. So...word of advice, tread carefully." David said.
"Gotcha." Kor said.
They carefully treaded through this strange new land as they looked around carefully for anything that seemed out of the ordinary. However...that is difficult considering the nature of the land they stood in.
"Hmm… Nothing strange here. Well, stranger than things could be with this place." David said. "It's like this whole world is a haystack and we're the ones trying to find the needle."
"Well, where there are dreams, there are usually also…" Sectonia said as they saw a familiar red-armored woman with dragon features facing a multitude of black blobs. "...Nightmares."
"Wait, isn't that…" Miriam said.
"Look out, Shyvana!" David said as he fired at the blobs.
"What the heck? Why does she look so different?" Starlight asked.
"The one who dreamed Shyvana into existence the first time must have been a League of Legends fan. And it looks like they're having a nightmare." Sunset said.
"Hm? You guys?" Shyvana asked.
"We'll talk later. We're here to back you up." David said.
"Uh...I...appreciate it?" Shyvana said as she fought back. "Honestly, didn't think you all would come back to this place."
"Well, it's a lot to explain. Let's just say that circumstances drew us here again." Cheetah said.
"I can relate. After that strange battle, I found myself back here fighting against these horrid nightmares." Shyvana said.
"Nightmares? So Sectonia was right. There is something plaguing this realm." David said. "And I have a feeling these blobs are only a small taste."
"We should probably focus on wiping them out before they form together into something bigger." Sectonia said.
"Not to worry, we're about to gain help." Shyvana said as a young woman approached, hitting each of the blobs with a blast of light as they faded.
"Shyvana, are you okay?" she asked.
"I'm fine, Lux." Shyvana said.
"Whoa, nice backup." Mayumi said.
"She is from the same kingdom as I. She and a few others started to slowly appear after my return to this place." Shyvana said.
"And I get the feeling it's not just from your world either. Given the nature of this place, warriors from other worlds could also be drawn in." UlforceVeedramon said.
"More like dreamt up." Mirror Match said.
"Technically, yes, but… You get what I mean." UlforceVeedramon said.
The group then helped Lux and Shyvana to battle the Nightmares.
"So, when did these nightmares start showing up?" Hope asked.
"A strange visitor arrived in this land one day. A girl about your age. She looked around this place for a bit. She said…"This place is perfect for a dungeon." she spoke before she did something with this strange book and all of these creatures started appearing. Onto one, she hid a strange jewel before vanishing. Least, that's what a friend of mine said." Lux said.
"A strange girl with a spellbook of some sort. Hmm… This might be worth keeping in mind." Cheetah said.
"Yeah...I think I know who this stranger was. When we defeated the oracle...she gave this name...Canaan. She said that person was the one who rebuilt the door to her temple." Theo said.
"So this Canaan is the dungeon maker?" Riku asked.
"Or at the very least, she's making some places appear as dungeons. But...what I don't get is why? What does she get out of this?" Theo said.
"That might be something we'll have to confront her about ourselves." Fulgore said.
"So she's the one that one of the Demon Kings mentioned." Mark said.
"Least now we know what we're aiming for. So...any idea where the nightmare with the jewel is?" Theo asked.
"Uh...there." Lux said, pointing to a large black crystal. "After it devoured several of its kind, it turned into that crystalline structure."
"And it sure seems like a pretty long way there too." Agito said.
"Which is why we're mounting a force to combat it. Hopefully now, we have enough to face the threat that dwells within." Shyvana said.
"I sure hope so as well." Yoko said. "We might as well get trekking, then."
The group, with Shyvana and Lux, headed towards the structure in the distance.
"I would watch what you think of in this world." Shyvana said. "This place will take your greatest dreams and manifest them into reality."
"The same will probably apply to our greatest fears as well." Cheetah said.
"In other words, we should watch what we think about in our heads. Got it." Hope said.
"Yeah…" Sunset said driving in a small car.
"Where did you…" Theo said.
"You guys do know you can think of anything to your advantage right? Heck, that's how the blue team got their fort." Sunset said.
"But didn't you fail your-" David began.
"Before you finish that sentence, I passed on the second try." Sunset said.
"N-nevermind, then. At least we can bring in our vehicles in some way." David said.
"So, just think of anything that's not bad, right?" Ethox asked. "I think I can get behind that."
Ethox thought hard before something manifested right in front of him. A hoverboard that looked similar to Ventus's glider.
"Alright, this should work great!" Ethox said, getting on and flying around. "Whoo-hoo! C'mon guys, you've gotta try this!"
"Someone's enjoying this...but…" Theo said, imagining a large bus. "Least this way, we don't have to hoof it."
"Um… Not sure if we'd all fit. Might need at least three." Sectonia said as two more buses popped up. "Well, how do you like that?"
"Okay...off we go." Sunset said as they drove off towards the crystal.
