"Here we go. Arena number 3." Hope said.

"I wonder how many arenas we're going to pass through before we reach the center?" Jexi pondered.

"Hmm...it's possibly only 7...maybe 8. That is how it works in most arcade fighting games." Sunset said.

"If that's the case, we should probably save our strongest fighters for the later half of the arenas." Sabo said.

"That's a good call. When it comes to arcade modes in fighting games, the enemies get more tougher to beat as you progress. So saving our big guns like Goku for later would be the best plan." Chiaki added.

"Alright. With that in mind, who should go next?" Chi Ta asked.

"I'll take the next fight." Ranma said.

"Okay…" Chi Ta said as the lights dimmed. "A fighter cursed between the lines of both man and woman. This has not stopped them from their quest to gain new techniques in order to keep up with his friends in the alliance. The Bi-Gender Martial Artist! Ranma Saotome!"

The audience roared in applause.

"Wow, Ranma's pretty popular here." Kaibara noticed.

"Pretty sure they do it for everyone." Theo said.

"And now...his opponent!" Chi Ta said. "From the far east of Taiwan. This fighter has mastered five different styles of Chinese martial arts to get to this point. The Serpent of the Three Demon Fists! From Purgatory...Liu Dongcheng!"

The audience cheered as emerging was a chinese man with no shoes on as he entered the ring.

"Serpent of the Three Demon Fists? Who are the demon fists?" Hope asked.

"They're the top three strongest Chinese Martial Artists in Purgatory." Spade said. "The Centipede, the Serpent and the Toad."

"Purgatory is the other underground fighting ring featured in this world, as Ranma told us." Koala said. "What the rich and powerful do for fun in this world is so barbaric."

"You may...begin!" Chi Ta called out.

"Here we go! Fire Punch!" Ranma said punching only for Dongcheng to dodge.

"Double Kick!" he called out as he dealt two quick kicks to Ranma's stomach in succession. "Earthquake Foot." he said, quickly stomping the ground as the earth itself shook as he dealt quick blows to Ranma.

"Whoa! How in the world did he do that, I thought using magic and stuff was illegal!" G. Aqua said.

"It is." Ethox said. "Which would be a problem if he was actually using it. That's all him, I can tell."

"But how? I mean…" G. Aqua said.

"Fa Jin…" Jexi said.

"Fa Jin…? Wait, are you saying he's actually…" Tsumugi started.

"Without a doubt. He is definitely a practitioner of that technique." Jexi said.

"I'm confused, what's Fa Jin?" Leanne asked.

"Fa Jin is a form of Chinese Martial Art that utilizes the alignment and coordination of the body to unleash powerful kinetic energy." Cheetah said.

"Basically it allows the user to hit opponents above their weight class." Spade added.

"Ranma and Liu are about the same weight...but if we're gauging power...the stronger one would definitely be the latter." Jexi said.

"And the most stunning part about Fa Jin… Is that because the techniques utilized vary depending on the part of the body being used for the attack… Anyone is capable of using it, making it one of the most variable and diverse fighting styles." Cheetah said.

Ranma was on the defensive as Liu continued to strike at him.

"I can't stay on the defense forever. I gotta get the upper hand." Ranma said to himself. He then breathed out before grabbing Liu's arm. "Vital Throw!" he said, sending Liu into the ground.

As Liu was getting up, Ranma switched to the offensive as he started to fight back ferociously against the martial artist. "Had enough?" Ranma asked before being uppercutted.

"Yes...enough of you." Liu said, pushing his fist into Ranma. "One Inch Punch!" he said as the punch sent Ranma flying across the arena.

"There it is! The legendary One Inch Punch!" Chi Ta said. "Utilizing Fa Jin, this short distance fist delivers quite an amount of power to the victim!"

"Crap, that got him dead center!" Zephyr said.

"Get up, Ranma!" Kendo called.

"You really are...one of the demon fists." Ranma groaned.

"That's just what the audience calls me. I'm just a martial arts prodigy." Liu said.

"Really? So am I…" Ranma said. "Dynamic Punch!" he said, striking Liu.

"What? How did…You...you know Hua Jin?!" Liu realized.

"I've learned a lot from this universe. Even those that disperse the power of attacks. Now...it's time." Ranma said, running at him. "The Final Gambit!" he said repeatedly striking at Liu before the chinese martial artists hit the ground.

"And it is done! Winner: Ranma Saotome!" Chi Ta said.

"Yes…" Ranma said as he collapsed.

"Whoa...did he always know all those techniques?" Hope asked.

"He's constantly learning new fighting styles just to keep up with all of us." Jexi said. "He works harder than any of us."

"I see. And since there's so many of us, it's hard for him to find chances to fight." Hope said. "I admire his determination to always improve though."

"He's a lot like you in a way, Goku." Krillin mentioned. "Maybe you and him should spar sometime."

"We definitely should." Goku agreed. "He may not be the most powerful opponent I've faced, but he'd definitely be someone I'd enjoy fighting."

"It just goes to show that with constant training and hard work, even the normal guys can keep up with the superpowered." Vashyron said.

The doors soon appeared as they opened up.

"You are free to continue." Chi Ta said.

"Let's see what else is in store for us." Hope said as they advanced.
