"Wow...look at all this." Meowth said looking at the loot they were carrying. "Can't believe we get this just by winning fights. A fighter could be a millionaire just fighting here lots of times."
"Well, Kengan fighters do earn a lot of money for their sponsored companies, so I've heard."
"You're right on the money there." Spade said. "Each fight earns them quite a bit of money, especially if you wager on them. Same goes for Purgatory."
"Seriously? Man, oh man… Makes you wonder who the next guy is going to be." Aoesia said.
"It could be anyone from both ends of the spectrum, really." Belladonna said.
"Well, it's best we press on and see who's next for us." Koala said. "I'll go next."
Koala made her way to the ring as the spotlight was on her.
"Orphaned at a young age, this young lady was taken in by Fisher Tiger and the Sun Pirates! She now stands here before us as the Fishman Karate Instructor for the Revolutionary Army! Koala!" Chi Ta called out as the audience applauded her.
"So….Fishman Karate counts as a legal martial art?" Mermista asked.
"If she just sticks with physical attacks, she should be fine." Hope said.
"And her opponent! He's been a master of judo since his debut at 16. A winner of the All Japan Judo championships at least 3 times. A match record of 5+ wins, one loss! One of Purgatory's 2 kings! The Gentle King! Jurota Arashiyama!" Chi Ta called out as in walked a large man in a robe.
"Two Kings? It's obvious that this guy is one of Purgatory's strongest fighters." Vashyron said.
Koala and Jurota faced each other.
"I'm glad for this opportunity to compete. I hope I can give you a challenge." Koala said.
"You are not the one I seek but...I will make sure you don't fall too quickly." Arashiyama said.
"You may...begin!" Chi Ta called out.
Koala moved first, attacking hard and fast. Jurota tried to grab her to get her in position for a throw, but Koala spun around him in a quick motion to punch from behind only to be grabbed and tossed onto her back.
"Whoa...he just threw her. That's not okay." Bow said.
"Actually, it is. It's Judo." Tenko said.
"Judo is actually a well-known martial art. I mean, come on. It's even in the Olympics." David said.
"We're aware. You had a gold medal in that event." Fulgore said.
"I'm just saying, Judo is a very traditional martial art that dates back a very long time." David said.
"It mostly relies on throws. And from the looks of this man, he's definitely mastered the throwing part." Ranma said.
Koala kipped up as she regained her stance. She went back in to attack and landed some solid blows on Jurota, avoiding his reach so she wouldn't be thrown again. The Judo master registered the attacks and felt how the punches were reacting on his body.
"I see… the style of karate you practice is one that utilizes water in a person's body. Interesting. However…" Jurota said, grabbing Koala before tossing her once again. "I don't go down so easily."
Koala rolled on the ground to avoid being slammed as she looked at Jurota. "Well, you wouldn't be a 3-time championship winner and one of purgatory strongest competitors if you were easy to beat. If you're made of tough stuff like I think…." she said as Jurota got in close before she dodged and pulled back a fist. "I'll just have to hit as hard as I can! Shark Brick Fist!"
Koala struck Jurota dead center in the chest, the impact clearly affecting the man as he was pushed back.
"Alright! Go, Koala!" Frosta cheered.
"It's not over yet." Sabo said. "Look!"
Koala was about to jump back, only to find her clothes pinched between Jurota's fingers as he tossed her once more into the ground.
"He grabbed her clothes with just his fingers?!" Glimmer gawked.
"I've heard of this. A technique he's mastered through his years as a Judo practitioner. He doesn't even need to fully grab his opponent to toss them. It's called...The Swing." Ranma said. "He waited for her to get close, then grabbed her to make sure she wouldn't get away."
"Wow. He really is a Judo Master." Kaibara said.
"Yup, and his throw is so fast that even those with kinetic vision have a hard time seeing it at first glance." Spade added.
Koala recovered once more, breathing hard a bit.
"(He's on a level all his own. No wonder he's a King of Purgatory.)" Koala said. "(But I can't lose here, or else we won't complete the dungeon. Think Koala… there has to be some way to counter his throws.)"
"I'm sorry… but this ends now." Jurota said as he went for the final throw to put Koaka down.
Koala met him by getting in close to his range.
"Is she nuts?! She's gonna get tossed if she goes in like that!" Scorpia said.
Jurota aimed to grab Koala for a final throw, but she managed to parry his arm and hit him right across the face. Jurota wasn't done however, as he was swiftly going for the swing one more time, and just when it looked like Koala would be grabbed by her shirt….
"(Gotcha!) Sharkskin Palm Thrust!" Koala quickly hit Jurotas fingers away, tossing him off balance. "Jimbei, let me borrow this move! Fishman Karate Secret Technique!" Koala balled her fist and charged into Jurota's midsection. "Vagabond Drill!" she called, blasting Jurota even harder than before with a direct shot to the chest, blasting air out behind him as he was sent flying onto his back.
"And this match has reached its end! Winner is Koala!" Chi Ta said.
"Heck yeah!" Hope said. "That's my member!"
"Nice work." Sabo said.
"Thanks...did all I could." Koala said as the next door appeared.
"We're still gonna keep going. All the way to the end." Ethox said.
"Yeah...we've come this far...may as well win it all." Subaru said.
