Valentine's Day
Today was a special holiday in Harmonious Land; a day where love filled the air everywhere you went! The one time a year when Trolls go all-out with romance for that very special someone. In other words, it was...Valentine's Day!
Outside, Magic Musical Trolls were going around, handing out hand-written Valentine's day cards to one another. A male Magic Classical Troll was giving a female Magic Country Troll a heart-shaped box of chocolate truffles, making her blush in response. By a cafe, a pair of female Magic Rock Trolls were giving each other a bouquet of flowers.
Inside the condo, the Normal Trolls were also taking part in celebrating the fun holiday. All over the condo, everyone was hanging up red, white, and pink hearts everywhere, from the ceiling to the wall, and even on the furniture.
Dante and Minuet were placing vases full of colorful Valentine's Day flowers around the condo as well.
In the kitchen, Delta, Holly, Branch, and Poppy were working together to bake some Valentine's Day treats such as heart-shaped sugar cookies, and truffles with white chocolate inside.
Branch was mixing something up in a green mixing bowl when he felt Poppy come up towards him from behind and give him a kiss on the cheek, making the teal Pop Troll blush and become distracted a bit, that the mixing spoon touched her nose, covering it in batter.
Both Poppy and Branch broke into laughter a Branch used his finger to clean off the batter on her nose, and offered it to Poppy, who blushed from the cute/romantic gesture, and tasted the batter, replying, "It's sweet, but not as sweet as you are, my sweet Valentine's Day Branchifier."
Branch felt his face heat up into a deep shade of pink while he sheepishly smiled, saying in a nervous/in love voice, "Thanks, Poppy."
In the living room, everyone else was doing their own fun things to celebrate the holiday.
Aggie was putting the finishing touches on a very special card she was making for Trollex, humming herself a happy tune while doing so. she picked up a little tube of glitter and sprinkled it onto her card before saying, "Voila! It's done"!
With her card completed, Aggie proceeded to lift it up, revealing that the card was actually really, really big, and stand it up on the floor, admiring her handiwork.
Suddenly, she felt someone hug her from behind, saying, "Happy Valentine's Day, Aggie"!
Aggie giggled in response, turning her head and seeing that the hug came from her boyfriend, Trollex, who was wearing a neon green bowtie, a black top hat on his head, and was holding something in his hand for Aggie.
Trollex and Aggie separated from their hug as Trollex then pulled out the bouquet of colorful flowers, saying, "I handpicked these just for you, as a little treat for our first Valentine's Day together."
Aggie felt her cheeks blush pink from the generous gesture, saying, "Aww, Trollex, this is so sweet! I love these flowers"! She pulled the Techno king close to her and the pair locked into a special romantic kiss.
Aggie then remembered something, saying, "Oh, and before I forget, I got something for you too"!
She walked over to the card she made and pushed it over to him, saying, "I made this for you"!
Trollex was really impressed by how big the card was, but the bigger surprise was what was inside the card, as Aggie flew up and opened it, revealing two cardboard heads of Trollex and Aggie, nuzzling each other's noses, with the words Love You! Want to Kiss You! right at the top of the card. Both heads were moving back and forth, and Aggie's voice could be heard in the audio, saying the same message on the card.
Trollex stood there in amazement, his mouth agape, and his eyes glimmering in awe.
Aggie, seeing this, giggled while asking, "You like it"?
Trollex snapped out of it and answered, "Does this answer your question," and pulled Aggie into a spinning hug, holding her while he spun her in the air a few times before the pair kissed together again, both Trolls blushing brightly.
The two remained like this for a while, happy in each other's warm and loving embrace.
On the couch, Val was plucking her guitar strings when she saw her little cousin come up to her, the Pop/Rock Troll saying cheerfully, "Hey, Val! Happy "Val"entine's Day," and gave her a heart-shaped card with Val's face on it.
The Rock ambassador looked at the card, saying, "Thanks, Melly. Though, do you really have to use that pun"?
Melody chuckled and answered, "It was either that, or the other pun I had in mind involving your full name, and I didn't want to use that unless necessary, so "Val"entine's Day was the best I could come up with."
Val opened the card and was in for a treat when she saw little red, white, and pink fireworks go off from it, asking, "Be my Valentine," in a deep rock voice, with the little message in a pink puff of smoke letters.
Val smiled, saying, "Definitely my most favorite card. And sure, Melly, I'll be your Valentine," as the two cousins fist-bumped together.
Stereo was holding a card in her hand, looking for the Troll she wanted to give her Valentine's Day card too, but couldn't seem to find the Troll. Then, she heard something swing down behind her, making the glittery Techno turn around to see what it was.
It turned out to be a large red heart-shaped pinata, and there was a bat on the floor by her fins that said, "Hit me," on it with a sticky note.
Stereo placed the card in her hair and replied, "Ooh," in intrigue, as she picked up the bat, and was set to swing at the pinata with it, expecting it to spill out candy.
However, before she even could, Synth, wearing a white bow tie, white cuffs on his wrists, holding a white cane in his left hand, and a Valentine's Day card with a green glowstick taped to the back of the card in his right hand, popped out, saying, "Stereo, my love"!
Stereo was taken aback in surprise, but broke into a giggle fest, seeing that Synth wanted to do something fun for a Valentine's Day gesture.
Synth then got down on one knee and presented her the card, saying in a sing-song tone of voice, "Will you be my V-V-V-V-V-V-Valentine"?
Stereo was in awe, her eyes glimmering, as she replied, "Awwww, that is so *imitates airhorn noises*! Yes, Synthesizer," and gave him a kiss on the cheek, making the prince/Techno ambassador blush pink all over, from head to the tip of his tail fins.
Essence was handing out cards to everyone when she felt someone tap her on the shoulder and saw Quincy holding a bouwet of roses, saying, "Happy Valentine's Day, sweetheart."
Essence felt deeply touched by the gesture, saying, "Awww, Q, you shouldn't have."
Quincy smiled, saying while Essence accepted the roses, "Yeah, but I wanted to; just a little something to show how much I love you, Essence. You're the funky riff to my bass guitar."
"And you're the melodic air in my tuba," Essence replied as the two hugged together, wrapping their necks around, and holding each other close.
McJagger was wrapping a pink bow onto a special book he had in his paws and hid the book in his hair when he saw Laguna walking up to him. After hiding the book because it was gonna be a surprise for his girlfriend, McJagger smiled happily and said to Laguna while approaching her, "Hey, boo! Happy Valentine's Day"!
Laguna smiled, adjusting her jacket that she was wearing, and hugged McJagger, saying, "Happy Valentine's Day, McJagger"!
The two hugged for a while as McJagger asked while gently caressing Laguna's cheek, "How are you feeling, Laguna? Excited about celebrating Valentine's Day"?
Laguna nodded, smiling while saying, "You know, I am excited actually. Especially since I'm celebrating it with you."
The pair shared a kiss together, as Laguna felt her heart beating excitedly, noticing the color changing from green to purple again.
McJagger noticed this too, commenting, "Looks like your heart changed colors again."
Laguna commented, "Yeah, but when I told Trollex about it, he explained that the reason's because of an extremely rare genetic Techno trait called the dual-color chameleon gene. It means that sometimes, a Techno Troll's heart is susceptible to changing color, depending on how they might feel, or if an outside source is influencing a particular emotion. Since I've become emotionally attached to you since we've started dating, and you're a Funk Troll, and we know purple is the color associated with Funk music, that's why my heart changes to purple at times."
McJagger was impressed, saying, "Wow, I never even knew that was possible! How come I've never heard of it before"?
Laguna explained, "Well, like Trollex said, it's an extremely rare genetic trait, and it's still a mystery how some Techno Trolls get it, or if it'll change into other colors depending on any other emotions I might feel. But, on the plus side, at least I was able to find some answers as to why my heart changes color like this."
McJagger then commented, "And plus, it just makes you all the cuter," and gently booped Laguna on the nose, causing the Techno's face to flush a deep pink blush, as she smiled and kissed McJagger again.
Then, McJagger commented, "Oh, I almost forgot; I uh...got you a little something as a token of my appreciation," and pulled out the book, saying, "Suprise"!
Laguna looked at the book, replying excitedly, "The History and In-Depth Analysis of the Prehis-Troll-ic Era?! I've always wanted this book"!
McJagger blushed, saying, "Well, I had an extra copy of it in my bookcase and figured you'd like to have it, so-,"
He got interrupted when his girlfriend hugged him, making him smile and hug her back.
Suddenly, what made them snap out of it was the sound of a low tapping noise, making them turn their heads to see what was making that noise.
It turned out to be Trollex, who was holding a microphone in his hand, as he said into the mic, "Hello, hello. Testing, testing, 1, 2, 3."
Everyone in the condo turned their heads and came over to see what was going on. With a small crowd gathering, Trollex spoke into the microphone, saying, "Hello, condo! This is a little love song for all you Valentine's Day lovers out there, and I dedicate it to my special Valentine's Day boo: Aggie, this one's for you."
Aggie blushed in response as the Snack Pack all said, "Awwww," from how cute the shoutout was.
Sid, disguised as a Pop Troll, groaned while saying, "Why does everyone have to be so lovey-dubby on this day? The sight of all this romance is making me dizzy."
Biggie commented, "Valentine's Day is a beautiful holiday, Sid. From what Aggie told us, this day is really amazing since we get to show a lot of love to our friends, our family, and especially the special Trolls we love as our partners."
Sid rolled his eyes, saying, "Still, it's all so sweet, I can feel cavities forming in my teeth."
You couldn't really blame Sid for not finding Valentine's Day an exciting holiday; he didn't get the whole concept of it, and the idea of love just made him feel queasy enough to almost throw up. Still, there was that part of him that did seem to find a subtle silver lining to the holiday; despite all the emphasis on love, it did seem...kind of nice. At least the holiday was a lot better than some of the things he had to celebrate back in his tribe; his "holidays" were a lot more bloody and violent.
Trollex gave the signal to Rhythm and Riff, with Rhythm on her keyboard and Riff on his drums, as the two started to play some music together, while the Techno king adjusted his bowtie and started to sing.

Nineteenth of Trollvember, the air gettin' colder. First few times that we hung out, but we fell in love somehow. First time that I met you, I didn't have a sure clue, but I loved everything about you. Now, I can't think of life without you!
Everyone in the condo was dancing to the beat of the song, especially Aggie, who watched her boyfriend dreamily perform in front of her, except Sid, who watched, but didn't dance.

Then, Trollex surprised her by offering his hand out to her, which Aggie happily accepted, as the Techno king pulled her up right beside him.
Trollex: No. Giving you everything I got 'cause I'm so.
The pair started to dance together in unison, often spinning hand-in-hand, simultaneously blushing.

While watching Trollex singing to Aggie and dancing with her, some of the Normal Trolls started to pull their partners close to them and danced with them.
Poppy took Branch by his wrist, with her hair, and the two started to swing dance to the beat of the music.
Synth and Stereo both took to the dance floor, floating around while doing rave motions together.
Quincy and Essence started to side-step together alongside the music, the two swaying to the song's harmonic melody.
McJagger offered his paw out to Laguna, who happily accepted, and the two began to boogie down on the dancefloor in unison.
By Trollex, Aggie spun Trollex, who continued to sing, before he caught her in a "fall pose" like in the tango, making him blush and sneak a kiss before he sang the next verse.
Trollex: I'll never go back, I'll never go. Now that I know that, now that I know. I'll never leave you by your own. When you call, baby, I'll be there, oh, oh.
Aggie then surprised Trollex by pulling out a microphone of her own and started to sing beside her boyfriend.

Feeling elated, the pair began to sing together, blushing while they did so, as they hovered together in the air above Rhythm and Riff, their tailfins making a heart shape together.

Near the end of the song, Buckaroo, who was square-dancing by her lonesome, remembered something and trotted to the elevator to head up to her room to get something.

Everyone happily clapped at the end of the song, with Beat tossing a rose up into the air and Trollex caught with his hair, giving it to Aggie, who giggled and wrapped the rose around Trollex's free wrist, saying, "I think it'd look even cuter on you. And thank you," as the two happily kissed together.
"Valentine's Day truly is a day of the heart," Minuet commented in delight.
"Yeah, we can all definitely feel those love vibes flowing, baby," Low-Note Jones replied with a chuckle.
Synth then remembered something, saying, "Ooh, Stereo! I made us reservations at Jollybee's for our little Valentine's Day outing."
"Awwww, Synth, you shouldn't have," Stereo replied, feeling very touched by the generous gesture.
"Shall me, m'lady," Synth offered his hand out to her.
Stereo excitedly grabbed it, saying, "We shall," and the pair walked hand in hand out of the condo, with Branch saying, "Synth definitely knows how to treat Stereo right."
"I think I can tell where he learned that," Riff commented, pointing at Trollex, who chuckled, replying, "Well, I did teach Synth a few things about how to be a proper boyfriend when he and Stereo started to date."
Hours later...
Delta then came out of the kitchen, holding a batch of heart-shaped cookies on a plate, saying, "Come ayn' get 'em, y'all"!
Everyone eagerly grabbed a cookie from the plate in response, making the mayor smile.
Gust saw the cookie he had in his hand and then noticed Holly, who was also waiting to grab a cookie, as an idea came through his mind, making him blush.
He broke his cookie in half and walked over to Holly, saying, "Uh, h-here ya go, Holly."
Holly saw the kind gesture Gust was doing and smiled, saying, "Awww, Gust, y'all are sharin' with me"?
Gust nodded, looking away shyly while replying, "Yep, 'cause ayy cookie's sweet, but gettin' ta share it with ayy close friend ov maane makes it even sweetuurr."
Holly could feel her face heat up with a massive blush, making her break out into nervous giggles while she said, "Uh..uh..t-thank, Gust. That was..maheety kaand of y'all," and accepted the cookie half he offered.
Smidge, who was watching this with Stereo, commented, "Ooh! Someone's falling for Gust"!
"Isn't the sight of love in bloom so sweet," Stereo commented.
"I know. Buckaroo, what do you think," before turning her head to talk to the detective, but found that she was not present at the moment.
"Huh? Where'd she go," Stereo asked.
"Is something wrong," Aggie asked as she flew over to the two girls.
"We can't find Buckaroo anywhere. Have you seen her," Smidge asked.
Aggie replied, "I did notice Buckaroo heading up to the elevator near the end of the song. Maybe she's up in her room. Let's go see."
With that, Aggie, Smidge, and Stereo all started to head to the elevator to go find the detective in her condo room.
In Buckaroo's condo room, currently in the bedroom, the detective was looking in the mirror, holding a hat in her hands, but this hat looked different from her normal cowgirl hat. The one she was holding had a purple rim, was black on the inside of the hat, including the inside rim, and above the purple rim, the hat hump had a white stripe and a yellow stripe on top of it. So, the color scheme in order was yellow, white, purple, and black.
Buckaroo placed the new hat on her head, saying to herself in the mirror, "Ok, ay ken do this here. Ay ken do this here. Ay just got ta go up ta 'em ayn' tell 'em laake it is. It ain't gonna be hard, right"?
Suddenly, she heard someone knock on her condo door, making the detective flinch nervously and take off the new hat, putting her regular one back on, and hiding it under her pillow, before she trotted to the door, saying, "Hold on, y'all, ay'm comin'."
When she opened the condo door, she saw Aggie, Stereo, and Smidge at the door, with smidge saying, "Hey, Buckaroo! Come on down and join the party with us! We're all getting into the spirit of Valentines Day"!
Buckaroo scratched the back of her neck while replying, "Uh, in ayy lil' bit y'all. Ay'm, uh..workin' on somethin'."
"Ooh! What is it? Is it a sweet surprise for someone special," Stereo asked excitedly.
"Uh, whel, not really. Mawe laake ayy...personal...thing," Buckaroo replied while looking away hesitantly.
Aggie caught wind of this, and in concern for the detective, she asked, "Buckaroo...are you sure you're ok"?
Buckaroo looked around the hallway to see if anyone was around before she whispered, "Can y'all keep ayy secret"?
The trio of Trolls nodded in reply while they walked into Buckaroo's condo room, with the detective closing the door behind them once they were inside, while smidge asked, "What's going on"?
Buckaroo took a deep breath in and out, before saying, "Ok, truth taame: ay...ay'm tryin' ta work on...comin' out about...somethin'."
"Coming out? Like...coming out of the room? Or out of your shell," Smidge asked in confusion.
"Naw, naw! Not laake that. Mawe laake...comin' out 'bout my...sexuality," Buckaroo answered nervously, fiddling with her fingers while her back hoof tapped rapidly in nervousness, adding, "See...ay'm...non-binary."
All three girls, especially Aggie, were stunned to hear this, as Stereo commented, "Woah! Really," while Smidge commented, "Oh my guh! Wait...what's non-binary mean," before asking that question, unsure of what it meant.
Buckaroo answered, "Whel, in simple terms, it means...ay don't identify myself by ayy gender label. Meaning, y'all know how y'all call a male a boy, aw ayy man? Ayn' how y'all call ayy female ayy gerl, aw ayy woman? Those terms...don't apply with me, because, ay don't identify myself with any ov them genduurr terms. Ay don't see myself as ayy boy aw gerl."
Stereo commented, "Woah! That's...*imitates airhorn noises, Buckaroo"!
Aggie asked, "Wow, I didn't even know you were non-binary, Buckaroo! How long have you known this"?
Buckaroo hesitantly answered, "Whel, ayy lil' while befawe ay first came ta Trollstopia, ayn' when ay arrived, ay told most of the Trolls livin' there, 'bout me...except ya guys, ayn' the rest of our friends downstairs in the lobby."
Smidge asked, "Really? Why didn't you tell us"?
Buckaroo tried not to form tears in her eyes while she answered, "'Cause...ay'm scared ta come out ta y'all as non-binary. Ay'm worried...y'all maheet not accept me as who ay am, ayn' y'all maheet think ay'm disgustin' aw freaky. Holly don't even know about my sexuality yet, not even Delta! If ay tell 'em, Holly maheet nawht want ta be my best friend naw mawe, ayn' Delta maheet fire me from bein' ayy detective 'cause she maheet think non-binary Trolls ain't fit faw ayy detective! Ay'm so scared...that's why ay nevuurr told y'all in the first place."
Buckaroo then took her hat off, saying, "Ay thought maybe since today was the holiday ov love, it could be the perfect chance ta finally come out ta y'all about this, but...ay'm so scared about what maheet happen if ay do." She sniffled, saying, "Ay understand if y'all think ay'm nothin' but ayy freak aftuurr telling y'all this."
Buckaroo then felt someone patting her on the back and looked over, seeing her detective partner Aggie, who offered her a reassuring smile while saying, "Buckaroo, it's ok; you should never have to hide who you are from us. We're your friends, and we care about you so much. We would never think of you any differently just because of your sexuality."
"Really," Buckaroo asked.
"Aggie nodded, saying, "Of course. I'm bisexual, and I'm still close friends with all of you guys because you all care about me for who I am as a Troll, and not for what I am, or if I have colors or not. You guys are real friends to me, and I couldn't ask for better Trolls to be friends with."
"Especially with your boyfriend, Trollex," Smidge playfully commented, which made Aggie blush while Smidge and Stereo giggle while Buckaroo couldn't help but snicker.
"I consider myself heterosexual, but I don't mind, because I'm still me either way, and everyone knows me and likes me for who I am, and not for what I am," Smidge replied happily.
"I'm pansexual, and the other Trolls don't mind because they don't see me for my sexuality, they see me for my raving personality and kind heart, especially Synth," answered Stereo, who blushed while mentioning her lover's name.
Aggie then stated, "What we're saying is that yes, coming to terms with what you feel you are is definitely a scary experience, and it's even scarier to share it with others you want to tell, but if the people you tell are Trolls who think you're an amazing Troll to hang out with, who's fun, brave, smart, strong, a little stubborn, honest, loyal, and sincere, then they won't mind if you tell them about you being non-binary. Because they care about being your friend, and being there for you, for who you are, rather than caring about what your sexuality is."
Buckaroo felt a little bit better, saying, "Thanks, guys. Ay...really needed ta hear that. Though, ay'm still feeling maheety shaky 'bout comin' out with it. Ay-Ay don't even know the first thing ta say ta them once ay feel ready ta tell 'em."
"We can help you out with that," replied Smidge.
"Yeah. You can practice your speech with us, and then we can help you be able to say it to everyone else," Stereo commented.
"Y'all would really do that faw me," Buckaroo asked, feeling touched.
"Of course, Buckaroo! Anything for a friend," Aggie happily answered.
Buckaroo wiped away a happy tear, saying, "Thanks, y'all. Though, befawe we begin, ay just have one thing ta menshun. Since ay'm non-binary, if y'all evurr use pronouns towards me, ay usually prefer ta be called they/them. Got it"?
All three Trolls nodded in agreement, with Aggie saying, "Completely understood, Buckaroo. We'll use those pronouns around you from here on out."
In Gust's room, Gust was fitting himself into a fancy tuxedo. His tuxedo was cyan, with a blue bowtie, and he had on matching blue pants as well.
Gust made sure his hat was on straight, as he said to himself, "Ok, Gust. Y'all ken do this."
He cleared his throat before saying in the mirror, "Hey there, Holly. Uh, y'all are looking maheety pretty- naw, too strong. Uh...y'all are looking real naace today. Um...y'all used ayy new hairspray aw- wait, naw, that ain't raheet eithuurr Askin' some Troll out's harduurr than askin' ayy Puffalo ta go vegan."
While he kept trying to monologue his words together, his speech was overheard by Guy Diamond, who was passing by and overheard the Fun Sheriff's words through the open door of his condo room, prompting him to come inside and listen in.
When Guy Diamond saw what Gust was doing, he smiled, saying, "Ooh, someone's looking dapper today."
Gust froze in nervousness, turning his head, and upon seeing it was only Guy Diamond, he sighed in relief, saying, "Phew, thank goodness it's just ya, Guy. Ay was worried y'all was Holly."
"Why did you think I was Holly," Guy Diamond asked.
Gust scratched the back of his head, answering, "Whel, see...since it's Valentine's Day, ay was thinking that today-,"
"Would be the day ay finally come clean ta him about how ay feel," Holly answered while brushing out her long cyan blue hair in her condo room, which she had let out of her ponytail, and was currently conversation with Rhythm, Val, and Minuet.
"Why are you so scared about it," Val asked curiously.
"Ay ain't scared about it; ay'm nervous. Ay really laake Gust with all my heart ayn, wheel, ay just want him ta see how much ay love him," Holly replied, her nerves shown by the sad/worried look in her eyes.
"Holly, it's completely normal to feel nervous when you're in love with someone at first. but if I know anything, if you just talk to Gust straight from the heart, he'll see that you care about him deeply," Rhythm replied reassuringly.
"Yes, plus, who knows? He might be feeling the same way about you, and might be nervous about telling you his own feelings as well," Minuet added on.
Holly looked up at her friends, saying, "Y'all really-,"
"Think so," asked Gust, to Guy Diamond.
"Of course. but, if you're worried about your words getting in the way, perhaps what might help is if you do a beautiful romantic gesture," Guy Diamond answered back.
Tiny Diamond peeked his head out of his father's hair, saying, "Yeah, listen to my daddy, Fun Sheriff man."
Gust looked confused as he asked, "How's doin' ayy gestuurr-,"
"Gonna help me talk ta him-," Holly asked Rhythm, Val, and Minuet.
"About how ay feel around him/huurr," Holly and Gust asked simultaneously.
Minuet proposed, "Because as they say, actions sometimes speak louder than words."
"And doing something big, but maybe not too big, to show how much you care for him, would be basically like your way of talking without saying anything," Val added on.
"Plus, Holly would be so moved by the gesture, she would-," Guy Diamond replied.
"Fall right in love with you-," Rhythm added on.
"Then and there," Guy Diamond finished.
Gust gave it some thought, saying, "If y'all think it maheet work, ay guess it couldn't hurt ta try."
"But what am ay even gonna do as my gestuurr," Holly asked.
"Just leave it to us to help you out," Guy Diamond, Rhythm, Val, and Minuet replied in unison.
Trollex was sitting on the couch in the lobby with a notepad in his hand, trying to think of something, tapping the eraser of the pencil he had on his bottom chin.
Melody saw the Techno king in thought and approached him, asking, "Trollex, what are you doing?
Trollex, not aware Melody was staring over his shoulder, turned his head, and was startled seeing her, letting out a shout before saying, "Geesh, Mel, you almost made my heart pop out of my chest for real"!
"Sorry," Melody apologized before saying. "So, what are you up to"?
Trollex answered, "I'm trying to think of something really special to do with Aggie to celebrate Valentine's Day, but I'm short of ideas. I want it to be extra special."
"Anything you do with Aggie is always special because you both love each other so much. And I'm sure Aggie would be more than happy to do anything with you, even if it's as simple as watching TV together," Melody answered.
Trollex replied while rubbing the back of his neck, "Yeah, but I really want it to truly be extra special, a moment just for me and her. It's our first Valentine's Day together, and I want to to be one of the most romantic days of our entire lives. Plus, it'd also be a way for me to make it up to Aggie for not telling her about when DJ and I were practicing our salsa dance for the opening of Vic's BBQ restaurant yesterday."
"To be fair, the way you and DJ tried to keep it secret did make her worry you were cheating on her," Melody pointed out.
Trollex groaned, saying, "I know, and that's exactly why this needs to go so well. I want to show Aggie, through whatever i can think up for us to do together today, that no matter what, I will always be in love with her, and only her, and that she will be the only girl I ever need, want, and promise to have with me in my entire life. She's my goddess, my heart, my soul, my everything! Aggie is my rock, and I'll never leave her side, no matter what. We're together like peanut butter and chocolate."
Melody licked her lips, saying, "Yum, that analogy is making me hungry."
Suddenly, she got an idea, saying, "That's it! Why don't you just take her out to a fancy restaurant? A nice dinner date for two, candlelight, soft music playing in the background, two lovers, one table, love for eternity! Nothing speaks the language of Valentine's Day better than that"!
Trollex loved that idea, saying, "Yeah, that's perfect! But...I can't just take Aggie out to a restaurant, what if the other MMTs see us and they realize we're both in a relationship together? We still want to keep it a secret from them."
Melody then snapped her fingers, saying, "Well, maybe we won't need to go outside to find a restaurant," before walking away.
Trollex asked, "Wait, what do you mean"?
Melody smiled, simply giving a shrug, before disappearing.
Trollex replied, "Aggie sure knows how to find some unique best friends."
Nearby where Trollex was, McJagger and Laguna were both discussing what to do for Valentine's Day.
"So, I was thinking that today, we keep it classy: we stay in our room together and binge-read our favorite love stories. and, if we have time later, we can watch a romance movie together. What do you think," McJagger suggested.
"Note: I think that plan's perfect," Laguna replied happily.
McJagger smiled, saying, "Perfect. I'll go get the books all set up. Meet you upstairs in 10"?
Laguna kissed McJagger on the cheek, saying, "You know it."
Watching McJagger head upstairs on the elevator to go get all of the best books set up so the couple could sit, snuggle, and read together in their room, Laguna watched with a dreamy expression, her face blushing red, as her eyes glistened like diamonds, and her heart, which had turned back to purple again, was beating happily.
In almost an instant, Laguna felt a shiver course through her, making her rub her arms in reply while she closed her eyes and smiled...but she wasn't cold.
The sight of this was noticed by Essence, who, acting out of motherly instincts, wrapped a blanket around Laguna, making the Techno snap out of her trance while lifting her head up to see the Funk queen, who asked, "Are you feeling cold, Laguna"?
Laguna shook her head, saying while holding the ends of the blanket so it wouldn't fall off her, "Oh, no, your Funk majesty. I'm not cold, I just...felt a chill go down my spine."
Essence smiled, asking, "So, do you and McJagger have any fun plans tonight"?
Laguna replied, "So far, just doing some reading, maybe might watch a romantic movie or two, but not much really. But, I don't mind what we do together, because as long as I'm with him, to me, that's all I could really ask for on Valentine's Day, and..." and suddenly felt another excited shiver go down her spine, making her smile and close her eyes.
But this time, half-way through, Laguna froze, frowning a bit while opening her eyes and looking down, while her heart changed back to its original color, which Essence noticed and asked, "Is something wrong"?
Laguna adjusted her glasses while saying worryingly, "I don't know if this holiday is influencing me or something, but, I...feel kind of off. Every time I think about McJagger and how much I love him, I keep getting these chills down my spine, but I'm not feeling cold or anything."
Essence chuckled, saying, "Sounds like you're experiencing love chills."
"Love chills? What are they? And do they relate to anything...you know...," Laguna asked before nervously crossing her fins together, worrying what these "love chills" might be referring to.
Luckily, the Funk queen reassured her, saying, "Oh no, love chills have nothing to do with "that", I promise. A love chill is simply a normal, low-key response to when you think about someone you're deeply in love with. It happens to a lot of couples who start out dating, and since you and McJagger have been together for a little while, you're right on schedule with having this sort of reaction."
"I am? Is it really normal," Laguna asked.
Essence nodded, saying, "Yes. When Q and I started to date, I got a lot of love chills every time I thought about him. It's just a sign showing that you are truly in love in someone."
Laguna took note of this, saying, "A sign, huh? Do male Trolls often experience these "love chills" too, or is this something only the female Trolls experience"?
"Trolls of any gender experience love chills, it's not just ladies who feel them," Essence answered.
Laguna took a lot of thought into it, saying, "Hmmm, it does sound plausible. I-I don't know, though. Even though you say that these "love chills" are normal, I..I don't know. Maybe it's just me being paranoid but...is it really ok...to just...let myself feel these chills"?
Essence figured Laguna would be nervous about this since she knew well about Laguna's PTSD, and didn't want her to worry that experiencing love chills would lead her to any incidents where she might fall into the same situation her father put her through when he had hurt her the way he did.
To help her stay calm, Essence spoke reassuringly, saying, "It's completely ok to let yourself feel love chills, Laguna. Everyone gets them from time to time, and it's perfectly normal. What matters most is, with these chills, do you feel ok with them"?
Laguna thought about it, before nodding, saying, "I do. Because...I trust McJagger, and I love him a lot..so much...he gives me chills just thinking about him," before feeling another love chill, making her rub her arms again and smile.

The purple Techno suddenly felt a song beating in her mind as she felt her heart change from green to purple again, before she suddenly started to sing, still gripping onto the blanket by its ends over her shoulders as if it was a cape.
Laguna: Cold, but not fearing no more. Long Troll-bruary nights are what I am waitin' for. Feelin' our blushes heatin' like fire.

Laguna started to circle 'round the floor, spinning in time, in a trance-like dance, while Essence and some of the other Normal Trolls who were still in the lobby watched, hearing Laguna sing.

Upstairs, McJagger was grabbing some books for him and Laguna to read together, and he was also starting to sing the same song, feeling love chills whenever he thought of the love of his life: Laguna.

Sid, still in his Pop disguise, was trying to hide in the couch cushions of his room, muttering underneath the cushions, "I just want this day to be over."
After getting a full-front view of all the lovey-dubby emotions residing over the magic of Valentine's Day, he already wanted to just hide away from it, as he didn't know if his mentality could even take it.
However, fate had other plans for the disguised Flexi-Troll.
While under the cushions, he heard someone declare, "Hi, Sid"!
Sid peeked his head up and saw Cooper, who had opened the door and let himself in, standing there, as he bluntly remarked, "Anyone teach you how to knock, doofus"?
Cooper laughed, saying happily, "Yeah, but I came in because you forgot to lock the door, so, that's on you."
Sid groaned, saying, "Ok, but why are you here"?
Cooper gave Sid a Valentine's Day card, saying, "Happy Valentine's Day! Come join us downstairs; we're doing some Valentine's Day games"!
"Um, no thank you. I'd rather spend the day curled up somewhere where the love bug WON'T bite me," Sid answered while tossing the card behind him before adding, "Besides, don't you got somewhere to be with your "special someone" as well"?
"I'm a bachelor, I don't got anyone "special" to spend the holiday with, except my Valentine: my brother, Prince D," Cooper answered happily before answering.
"Seriously? You don't got a girlfriend," Sid asked, almost in an insulting voice.
Cooper didn't read off on that, chuckling again while saying, "Nope, but Aggie told us that having a Valentine can be someone we cherish most, whether it's a friend, family, or someone we love and care about. And I love my brother, and I care about him, so he's my Valentine! Do you have one too"?
Sid replied, "Nope, and I don't need one."
Cooper then said, "Well, we'll help you get one! Come on," and dragged Sid, who helplessly fought against Cooper's grip while saying, "Hey, let me go"!
Back in Buckaroo's room, Aggie was helping the detective run through her "coming out" speech, saying, "Ok, Buckaroo. All you need to do is just stay calm and speak from the heart. After all, since this revelation about you is coming from you, everyone will easily tell that you're being 100 honest with what you're saying."
"To be fair though, ay'm always honest with the things ay say; ay ken't lie," Buckaroo replied.
Smidge then answered back, "And remember, we're all your friends. We all want to be there for you through no matter what, and we wouldn't think of you any different if you weren't non-binary or not. so, feel free to just let it all out."
Buckaroo inhaled through her nose and out through her mouth, saying, "Ok, y'all, ay got this. Hit me."
Aggie, Smidge, and Stereo all sat in front of the detective and pulled out masks that looked like some of their friends. Aggie was wearing a mask that looked like Delta, Smidge was wearing a mask that looked like Branch, and Stereo was wearing a mask that looked like Holly.
"Howdy there, Buckaroo," Aggie replied in her southern accent, imitating Delta's voice while adding, "Y'all wanted ta speak with us"?
"You seem like you have something on your mind," Smidge added, trying to sound like Branch.
"Yeah, yo-, uh, I mean, y'all," Stereo replied, trying to imitate Holly's voice, saying, "And we are here ta hear you out and listen to you."
Buckaroo, however, froze when she saw the masks and gulped, stammering, "Uh...Uh...Uh...," feeling completely unable to say anything.
Aggie took her mask off, saying, "I don't think this is working, girls."
While Smidge and Stereo took their masks off as well, Buckaroo sighed, saying, "Ay appreciate the effort y'all, but let's face it: ay'm just ayy big chicken when it comes ta talkin' 'bout my sexuality. There's naw way ay'm gonna be able ta face ever'one ayn' tell 'em this here without fearin' they're all not gonna laake me any mawe, just 'cause ay'm non-binary."
Smidge walked up to Buckaroo, "Come on, Buckaroo, don't give up. I'm sure there's a way we can get you confident enough to say it."
Suddenly, there was a sheet of paper that was slid under the door, which Stereo saw and asked, "Hey, what's that, yo"?
Aggie flew over to the sheet of paper and picked it up, reading, "To: Aggie. From, Trollex."
"Ooh," Smidge and Stereo said in awe together. while Aggie blushed happily, opening the note to see what it said, reading, "Roses are red, and you know I'm blue. Meet me in the dining room at 2...pm. Signed, Trollex."
Aggie smiled happily, saying, "Ooh! I bet Trollex's got something planned for Valentine's Day! I can't wait to see what it-,"
Then, she remembered that she was in the middle of helping Buckaroo, turning around to face the detective.
However, Buckaroo was chuckling, saying, "It's ok, y'all. Y'all should get ta spend Valentine's Day with y'all boy toy. Ay'll be ok, ay promise."
"Are you sure, Buckaroo," Aggie asked.
Buckaroo gave a nod in reply while Smidge said, "We'll stay with her and do our best to help get her ready ta tell the others."
"You can count on us, future sis-in-law," Stereo added on.
Aggie replied, "Thanks, you two, and Buckaroo, not to worry, I still have your back. Don't be afraid to give me a shout if you need anything," before she flew out of the condo room and up to her room so she could get ready for the big surprise.
Meanwhile, Gust was finalizing everything, saying while holding two pieces of paper in his hands, "Are y'all sure this is gonna work"?
Guy Diamond nodded saying, "Indeed it will, Gust. Trust me, after this, you both are gonna be galloping off together in the heart-shaped sunset filled sky in no time flat. Just trust in yourself, and you'll be just fine."
In Holly's room...
"Are y'all sure this is the best idea," Holly asked, holding a picnic basket in her hands.
"This is by far the bets plan yet, Holly. This truly will helo your hearts become tender enough to produce a musical streak strong enough for you to confess your feelings to him."
"You'll be absofunkalutely funktastic, Holly! Just stay calm, speak from the heart, and boom," Rhythm replied.
"Yeah, what they said. Just wing it," Val mentioned.
Simultaneously Holly and Gust both nodded in agreement and proceeded out of their rooms, heading to go meet with one another. However, since their rooms were nearby, in hilarious fashion, they ended up running into one another, and with a slight bump, they saw they had bumped into each other.
Holly and Gust were both startled by the small bump, but seeing who they bumped into made the blushes on their faces grow red and hot, with both Country Trolls nervously stammering and awkwardly looking away from each other with nervous smiles, trying to play it off.
"A-A-Ay'm sawry, Holly. Ay..uh..didn't see ya there," Gust stated with a nervous chuckle while hiding his hands behind his back to hide the papers he had.
Holly answered back, hiding the picnic basket behind her back while saying, "Naw, naw, it's ok, Gust. Ay-," before she saw how fancy Gust looked in his tuxedo, and as much as she wanted to just jump around and squeal excitedly from the thought of how cute Gust looked, she kept her calm, saying, "Wow, y'all look maheety naace all dressed up."
Gust tugged at the collar of his tuxedo, saying, "Oh, this ol' thing? Just something ay had faw the occashun."
He then started to ask nervously, "Uh, s-s-say, Holly, are y'all...busy at the moment"?
Holly stammered back, "Uh, n-n-nawht that ay know ov. W-W-Why do y'all ask"?
Then, in unison, both Country Trolls pulled out the items they had hidden behind their backs, saying together, "Do y'all wanna go-," before they saw what they were doing and blushed, seeing how they almost reacted the same way.
Both Country Trolls chuckled nervously, with holly saying, "Uh, y-y'all ken go first if ya want."
"Naw, naw, y'all go first, Holly. Ldies first," Gust replied nervously while fiddling with his hat.
Holly held onto her picnic basket, saying, "W-Whel, ay baked some Valentine's Day goodies, ayn' ay was wonduurrin' if ya maybe...wanna go on ayy lil' picnic with me"?
Gust smiled, saying, "A-Ay'd love ta, Holly. But, y'all know what maheet make it mawe fun? If we have the picnic...in the air," and gave her one of the two papers he had in his hands.
Holly accepted it and looked at what the paper said, which revealed to be a ticket for a blimp ride across Magikina City, making her gasp and say, "Tickets faw ayy free blimp ride 'round Magikina City"?!
Gust shuffled his hoof, saying, "Whel...what do y'all say"?
Holly smiled, saying, "Yes! Ay'd love ta, but...do ay need ta get dressed up as well"?
Gust smiled and shook his head,d saying, "Y'all don't need ta dress up, y'all are as gorgeous as y'all always are," before he blushed, adding nervously, "A-Ay mean, as y'all are always lookin' maheety naace ever'day, from your beautiful hair ta your sweet smile, ayn'," before he felt his blush increase, saying in response, "Ay'll stop talkin' now."
Holly felt her own blush coming back, saying, "Thank ya kaandly faw the compliment, Gust, ayn' ok. Shall we"?
With that, the two Country Trolls made their way down to the elevator to head out, while Guy, his son Tiny, Rhythm, Val, and Minuet watched, cheering in success.
In the living room, Cooper had dragged Sid over to where Legsley, Biggie, DJ Suki, Satin, Chenille, and Prince D were sitting, with a bottle in the middle, a stack of red cut-out hearts, and a bowl full of heart-shaped candies right next to it.
"What kind of game is this," Sid asked in an uninterested tone of voice.
"Oh, hello, Sid. So glad you could join us," Biggie greeted him happily.
"We're playing Guess the Valentine," DJ Suki added on.
"Guess the Valentine," Sid asked in confusion.
Prince D explained, "A Troll spins the bottle to select a Troll who will guess, while you read from these Valentine's Day cards, which have riddles on them, describing a Troll who is the deemed "Valentine" and we have to try and guess. If you guess right, you get a heart-shaped candy, and then you get to spin the bottle to pick the next Troll who tries to guess."
Sid wanted to immediately leave, but Cooperinsistingly pushed him into sitting by Biggie, saying, "Oh, we are so in my Valentine's Day brother," before he went to sit by Prince D.
Legsley then exclaimed, "My turn," and spun the bottle, which landed on DJ Suki, who cheered, saying, "Oh yeah! My turn to guess"!
Legsley picked up a card, reading, "I love to rock out, and I'm tough as nails. But deep down, I can be sweet, though I overpower it with guitar wails."
DJ Suki gave it some thought, saying, "Guitar wails, huh? Well, I'm thinking it must be a Rock Troll, but who? Um...Val"?
"Close," Legsley replied.
DJ Suki then snapped her fingers, saying, "Queen Barb"!
Legsley nodded and cheered, "That's right"!
Everyone else, except Sid, cheered alongside her, as DJ Suki plopped a heart candy into her mouth before spinning the bottle, selecting Cooper next.
She then picked up a card, reading, "I'm known for being fancy, and I live to compose. But I'd love it if we were Valentine's, don't you suppose"?
Prince D gave it some thought, asking, "That language sounds familiar, man. Is that from a Classical Troll"?
DJ Suki nodded, saying, "Yeah, but who"?
Prince d tried to think it through before he said, "Well, i wanna guess Trollzart, but my gut's telling me it's Dante. So...I'm gonna guess Dante."
DJ Suki chuckled, saying, "You're right"!
Sid then said, "Ok, this game doesn't;t seem as bad as I thought. Is it ok if I give it a go"?
"Hold on, Prince D needs to spin the bot-," Satin started to say.
However, Prince D politely interrupted her by saying, "Hey, it's ok. Let's make an exception this once and let Sid have a try at guessing. After all, he did volunteer. Biggie, would you like to read him a riddle card"?
Biggie nodded and picked up a riddle card, reading it while he said, "I've grown up on a farm, and I'm as strong as steel. But my heart;s just as tender, as my words are real."
Sid immediately knew who it was, saying, "Isn't that the farm Troll, Buckaroo"?
"Yes! You're right," Biggie cheered, with the other Trolls cheering with him.
Sid then said, "But honestly, that riddle isn't even an accurate description of her."
"What do you mean," Chenille asked, while Satin added, "she is really strong and she did grow up on a farm."
"Plus, she's super honest and nice," Cooper added.
Sid answered, "Yeah, but it's not highlighting who she really is. Why, if I wrote a riddle describing her, I'd say something like," before he stood up, surprising everyone, while he said in a shockingly charming voice, "My strength is my weapon, but my tongue is thy sword, as I swear thy by honesty, in tense of every word. For I expel beauty in bravery, and grace in labor, but yet my most notable trait is the perseverance in aiding others, for no favors."
Sid saw how everyone was looking at him in shock and surprise, making him ask in confusion, "What"?
"Woah. Mind...blown," DJ Suki commented as she and Legsley both mimiced their minds exploding while making explosion sounds with their mouths.
"That was beautiful, Sid," Biggie said, wiping a stray tear from his eye while hugging Mr. Dinkles.
"You're like a poet, man," Prince D commented.
Sid, however, shook his hands while saying, "Woah, no, no, no, no, no. I'm not a poet, I'm just speaking the turht of what these cards should really say if we are describing "certain" Trolls," as he sat back down and plopped a bunch of heart candies into his mouth, asking quickly to try and move on before anyone started to assume something, "Ok, who's next"?
In the dining room, Dante was placing a golden candle holder in the middle of the table, saying, "There, it's all set, Ms. Song."
Melody, who was wearing a chef's outfit, and had a chef's hat on, was stirring something in a pot, saying, "Perfect! Are the couple of the hour almost here"?
Dante checked his Hug Watch, saying, "Tis almost 2pm on the dot."
Not too far away, Aggie came down the elevator and saw Trollex, who had come down from the other elevator, greeting her, as he said, "Hey, Aggie! I got the sweet note you sent me."
Aggie, confused, asked, "Uh, what note"?
Trollex then showed Aggie the note that he got, which was the same that Aggie got, except addressed to him, while the Techno king said, "You wrote to me saying to meet you at the dining room at 2pm."
Aggie looked at the note, saying, "Uh, I didn't send you this."
Trollex was now confused, asking, "Huh? But why is your name signed on this then"?
Aggie answered with a chuckle, "No idea, but I got a note just like you, and I guessed you wrote it."
"I didn't write you a note either, though if i did, I would hand deliver it to you in person," and kissed Aggie, who happily reciprocated the kiss.
Once they separated, Aggie then said, "Well, I don't know what's going on, but I guess we are gonna find out now. Come on," as she and Trollex walked hand in hand towards the dining room, and what they saw made them both really amazed.
The dining room was all decorated to look just like a real restaurant, with a fancy table cloth over the table, a fancy candlelight in the middle, a little vase next to the candle with fresh, warm breadsticks, two chairs set for the couple to sit in together, with the utensils all nicely organized, with beautiful napkin folds in the shape of the Techno hearts.
Above then was a large banner that said "La Ristorante de Aggex", and right below the banner, Trollzart was playing his violin beautifully, adding lovely mood music to the setting.
"Woah," both Trollex and Aggie said in unison, amazed by the scenery.
Dante, coming out and wearing a fancy waiter's outfit, which was a simple white long sleeve shirt with a red vest, dark blue bowtie, greeted them, saying, "Greetings, you Technoness, and the Master of All Music. welcome to our fine dinging establishment. Please allow me to guide you to your seats."
Dante lead Aggie and Trollex over to the chairs, where Trollex offered to pull out Aggie's chair for her, and helped her into her seat, before taking his own seat.
Dante offered two hand-written menus to them both, saying, "feel free to look over our menus so you may choose what you wish to order for today's meal, you sweet lovebirds."
Trollex and Aggie looked at their menus, with Aggie saying, "Wow, Trollex, did you set all of this up for us"?
Trollex smiled sheepishly, saying, "You could think of it like that, but I did have a little help," before he gave a thumbs up at Dante, who smiled and gave a thumbs up in reply, before he signaled Melody with a thumbs up, who thumbs up'd Dante in reply.
"This is possibly one of the sweetest things you've ever did, Trollex," Aggie said, feeling very touched by the romantic gesture, adding with a blush, "Thank you."
Trollex smiled, blushing in reply, saying, "Well, you know I would do anything for you, my sweet and lovely Agatha. To me, you're my sun and moon, my diamond to my ring, and i wouldn't want to replace you with anything in the world. To me, we could be the only Trolls on Earth, and I'd still be the happiest man alive, because i have you here with me."
Aggie smiled, saying, "Same here, Trollex. Same here," and the two shared another romantic kiss, with Trollex tucking a strand of hair behind Aggie's ear while Aggie wrapped her arms around Trollex's neck.
Aggie then looked up at Dante, saying, "And as for our orders, Dante, I think we'll take one spaghetti special to share."
Trollex added, "Yeah, one spaghetti special, please."
Dante wrote it down, saying, "Right, and we shall have your dish out in a matter of minutes," before he flew into the kitchen.
Melody was already three steps ahead, serving a large plate of spaghetti onto a big plate, placing some meatballs on top, before saying, "Order up! One spaghetti special for our pair of lovebirds out there"!
Dante picked up the plate, saying, "You got it," and flew back out to the dining room, placing the dish in front of the two Trolls.
As Dante served the dish to them, Trollex and Aggie both saw how delicious it looked, smelling it very mouth-watering scent.
"That smells really good," Trollex spoke up, saying.
Aggie then raised her fork, saying, "Shall we dine in"?
Trollex nodded and responded by lifting up his own fork, and the two began to eat together, slurping up the spaghetti noodles.
Trollzart then flew down and hovered beside Dante, who summoned a gold mandolin, saying, "And of course, what would a lovely dinner date be without the right mood music"?
Melody then came out, holding a giant green accordion that Smidge left in the kitchen earlier, and was playing it alongside with the beautiful music, while Trollzart sang beautifully.

Suddenly, while the two were slurping on what they both thought was a long noodle they each had, it turned one to be the ends of the same noodle, making them end up slurping it all the way...towards each other, into a kiss.
Aggie smiled and blushed, pretending to look away shyly, but was very touched, especially when Trollex used his fork to offer her a meatball.
Trollzart: The night will weave its magic spell when the one you love is near.
Trollzart and Dante: Oh, this is the night, and the heavens are right, on this lovely Belle Notte.
Upstairs, in their room, McJagger and Laguna were both sitting together on the couch, reading one of the many books in the large pile of love stories picked out to read together.
Laguna was sitting right next to McJagger, holding one side of the book open, while McJagger was holding the other side of the book open, and wrapped his free arm gently and carefully around Laguna's shoulders.
"I love this part, where the prince and princess serenade together under the moonlight of chances," McJagger commented.
"A figurative yet surreal expression that gazes upon the depths of one's soul in the essence of love, where the idea of soulmate, seems to just burst in quite the more logical standard," Laguna mentioned.
While the two were reading, Laguna slowly leaned her body towards McJagger, so it was like she was resting on him, and McJagger was more than happy to let her lean on him, as he kept his arm around her as support so she wouldn't fall.
Suddenly, McJagger heard what sounded like a low vibrating sound, making him perk his head up from reading to look around, wondering where the sound was coming from. It almost sounded like...purring?
He looked around a bit before giving himself a mental shrug and returned to reading again. But then, he heard the sound again, and this time, he asked Laguna, "Hey, boo? Do you..hear something"?
Laguna perked her head up and looked around, saying in response, "Not any sound that I'm aware of. Why"?
McJagger replied, "I keep hearing this low vibrating sound, like if there's a Kitty Critter purring around here. we didn't let any animals in here, did we"?
Laguna couldn't help but giggle in response before saying, "No, unless you count you and me as the scientific term "animals" per see. But...I might know a possible theory towards this "purring" you're hearing," before blushing a bit in embarrassment.
McJagger saw Laguna blushing and, upon putting two and two together, he couldn't help but giggle too, asking, "Did it come from you, Laguna"?
Laguna sheepishly nodded, saying, "Sometimes, I purr like that when I feel really relaxed and content. It's a little personal thing I developed when I was little."
McJagger raised her paw up and caressed Laguna's cheek, saying, "Well, I think it's really cute; you have a very magnificent purr."
Feeling McJagger's paw on her cheek, Laguna's blush increased while she smiled happily, resulting in her purring again, but a little louder, so it was more bearable.
Laguna then commented, "You know, McJagger, I have to say: I'm really enjoying spending this Valentine's Day with you. I'll be honest...I was feeling a little nervous about it when Aggie brought up what this holiday was earlier."
"You were nervous about it," McJagger asked, commenting, "How come"?
Laguna looked down and fiddled with her thumbs while saying, "Well...since it's called the Holiday of Love, I was worried about...you know..." and looked away, wanting to say it, but didn't have the heart to admit it.
McJagger, however, could tell what she meant, saying, "You were worried...that we would do anything...that might...trigger your PTSD"?
Laguna gave a solemn nod, worried she'd made her boyfriend upset, but before she could start trying to think up of an apology, she felt McJagger place his paw under her chin and raise her head up so she could look at him, and saw the caring smile he had as McJagger said, "Hey, hey, it's ok, boo. You don't have to feel bad about telling me this. You have every right to inform me if something's making you worried, and I know very well how the idea of a holiday all about romance can make you feel a little jumpy, especially in your case considering what you went through. But I promise that you never have to worry about that because I'd never put you in a situation where you would feel like we would ever need to do "That" just to honor a tradition, especially if you're far from ready to have an experience like that. Valentine's Day is just about celebrating how much we love the people close to us, and there are all sorts of ways to honor that without having to do anything like "that." We could do what we're doing right now, watch a movie, go out to eat, go for a walk, all these things and more, we can do, just to show our appreciation for one another, and that's the best thing we could ever do. Even if we just sit together, that's a way we can show how much we love another, because well, you're my everything, boo. i love you, and I always will. nothing can ever tear me apart from the woman I love; no standards, or high opinions, or anything like that, because as long as you're here...I'm a happy Troll."
Laguna smiled happily, hearing her boyfriend's encouraging words, as she felt her heart change from teal to purple again as the two shared a hug together, nuzzling noses while their faces blushed simultaneously.
Then, Laguna did something that surprised McJagger: she gently grabbed his paw, and brought it up towards her slowly, letting him place his paw on her heart.
McJagger was surprised Laguna was willingly letting him get to feel her heart: it was warm, the light was soothing, and it made a THUMP THUMP THUMP sound so calmly, in a perfect rhythm, and done so beautifully. Stunned, he asked, "You're..letting me feel your heart"?
Laguna nodded, saying, "Not only because I love you so much, but because I trust you, McJagger. You've shown me how much you truly do care, and, if I can trust myself to be around you, and not worry about you hurting me like my father did, I can trust you to let you feel my heart."
McJagger was amazed, saying, "It's...so warm. I never thought a Techno's heart would be warm like this. And your heartbeat is like a gentle beat I can sway my head to," while gently swaying his head side to side on cue with Laguna's heartbeat."
Laguna giggled, saying, "Well, it beats like this, especially for you, McJagger."
"And my heart beats for you too," McJagger commented, the two leaning forward and sharing a romantic kiss together.
Back over with Sid, after playing a lot of rounds of "Guess the Valentine," and almost growing sick of eating too many heart candies, Sid decided to retreat back upstairs.
As he exited the elevator upon reaching his floor, he was about to enter his condo room when he noticed there was something leaning against the door. It was a red heart box tied with a gold ribbon, where under the ribbon, there was a note attached.
Sid, curious, looked around to see if anyone was nearby so he could ask if they gave it to him. Seeing no one, he picked up the box, first taking out the note, asking himself, "Wonder who sent me this."
He unfolded the paper and read it, reading, "Dear Sid, we may not be alike, but I have to say, you're a pretty unique guy, in your own way. I know we just started being friends, and that's ok, but I just wanted to say "Happy Valentine's Day." Signed, your secret admirer."
Sid was stunned, saying, "I...have a secret admirer"?
He then looked inside the box, lifted the lid, and saw that there were chocolate truffles for him resting inside. However, Sid didn't just immediately dig into them, because he was still processing the fact that someone, who he had no idea who, decided to do something nice and send him a nice little gift for Valentine's Day, and it wasn't even for love or any mushy stuff, but just because they wanted to. And strangely...despite it being so mushy...he...liked it.
Sid couldn't help but...smile a bit, saying, "Huh...well, whoever you may be "secret admirer," I...well...appreciate the thought and...your gift is not totally lame. so...eh, thank you, I guess"?
Suddenly, he heard someone ask, "Who are y'all talkin' ta"?
Sid flinched and closed the box, turning around to see who was behind him and saw Buckaroo, making him say, "Oh, h-hey, Detective Troll."
"Y'all know ay gots ayy name," Buckaroo retorted playfully, crossing her arms and raising an eyebrow.
Sid groaned, saying, "I know, I know, Buckaroo, but "Detective Lady" is easier for me to remember."
Buckaroo noticed Sid's little gift and asked, "Ooh, did y'all get ayy gift from someone special"?
Sid gulped nervously, saying, "Uh, n-no! T-This is...uh...for me! I, uh, sent it to myself," and his the box and note in his hair.
Buckaroo didn't seem deterred as she simply smiled, saying, "Raheet, ay get ya. So anyways, what are y'all doin' up here anyways"?
"I could ask the same for you. I thought you'd be hanging out with the others, telling them about your non-binary-ness, or whatever that means," Sid replied.
Buckaroo gasped, realizing Sid had found out, asking in shock, "How did y'all even know about that"?!
Sid replied, "Eh, I got a good sense of hearing. Also, I heard Smidge and Stereo talking about it when they were leaving after trying to "Help you" if I remember? how come you didn't tell anyone yet"?
Buckaroo sighed sadly, saying, "Ay'm just too plummed nervous ta tell ever'one this. Ay'm just worried 'bout what they're all gonna say aw think."
Sid, seeing the detective look worried, softened up on his little inquisitive look and, acting out of character, he sighed, saying, "Ok, look, let me give you a piece of advice: Sometimes, you just have to be blunt and say it as it is. Even if you get bad reactions out of it, you need to just let it out at them, and have them hear you. After all, isn't this non-binary thing your thing? So, even if they have opinions about it, not like they can do anything to change it because well, it's your thing."
Buckaroo was definitely surprised to say the least to hear SID, of all Trolls, offering her advice, but this time, the advice he gave...seemed to just...connect. Thinking it over, she said, "You're right."
"Come on, it didn't sound that stu- wait what," Sid asked, confused to hear that he was called that his advice was "right."
Buckaroo replied, "Y'all are raheet! A-Ay just got ta tell 'em straight up, ayn' nawht worry what they have ta say aw think of it, because it's my decishun, my choice, my laafe. Ay chose ta label myself as non-binary ayn' it's the choice ay wear proudly, ayn' want ta wear proudly! It's who ay ay, ayn' naw one ken evuurr change that, naw mattuurr what"!
She then surprised Sid with a big hug, saying, "Thank ya, Sid," before she galloped off excitedly.
Sid stood there, stunned, saying, "I was right for once...I was right...and my advice...worked...woah," before he fell over, fainting in surprise.
On a large blue blimp that hovered over Magikina City, Holly and Gust were both flying over the city, looking at the many sights below.
Inside the blimp, Holly had set up the picnic blanket for her and Gust to sit on as they enjoyed their sky outing.
Sitting together, side by side, Holly opened up the basket and pulled out a tray of heart-shaped cookies, some heart-shaped cupcakes with red and pink icing on them, berry kabobs, and a pitcher of pink lemonade.
Holly was current;ly pouring a cup of lemonade out and gave it to Gust, who said, "Ayy toast ta us, out here, spendin' Valentine's Day togthuurr laake close friends."
"Couldn't agree with ya mawe there, Gust," Holly added as she and Gust clinked their cups before drinking from them.
However, deep down, both of them were nervous wrecks; they may have said they were spednignt he day together as "Friends" but deep down, their love for one another was just itching to burst out like a crazy frenzy.
Gust himself felt a little nervous as he picked up a berry kabob, saying, "Y'all know, ay don't remembuurr the last taame we really hung out by ourselves laake this."
holly added while taking a kabob for herself, "Yeah. Ay think the last taame ay really remembuurr was when we were helpin' ta fix that there broken Puffalo Ranch fence. Though, ay will say y'all are pretty handy with that there set of tools."
Gust blushed, saying, "U-Um, thanks, Holly. Ayn' y'all have been ayy maheety faane ambassador faw the Country Western Tribe. Delta's proud she selected ya, ya know? Ay know ay'm proud too."
Holly felt her face heat up, making her break into nervous giggles, saying, "Oh, Gust, y'alla re makin' my face redduurr than ayy Cheery Glomato."
Both Country Trolls sat together in ana awkward silence, unsure of what to say next, because one wrong word, they feared, was gonna get them saying the wrong thing by accident, and blow this whole thing off.
Finally, Gust couldn't seem to take the silence, as he said, "Oh, Holly, ay ken't hold it in naw longuurr; ay gots ta tell y'all somethin'"!
Holly then shouted back, "Ay know, but befawe ya do, at least let me tell ya first! ay've been twitching laake an antsy firework rocket, ayn' if ay have ta go one mawe minute without sayin' it, ay'm gonna burst"!
Then, in unison, both Country Trolls shouted, "I love you"!
Holly and Gust stood there in shock, with Holly saying, "Gust...y'all...love me"?
Gust pulled out a card he had in his hat, saying, "Whel...y-yeah...ay do. Y'all are the kaandest Country Troll ay've evuurr met. Y'all are sweet, bold, carin' driven, ayn' so many things ay ken't list raheet now aw else we're gonna be on this here blimp forevuurr. Y'all are super nice ayn' loe ta give gifts, but the greatest gift you always give...is the special time ya ayn' ay share because...y'all mean so much ta me. Y'all are exceptionally pretty, with the most gorgeous hair, most beautiful smile, ayn' most importantly, the most compassion ay've evuurr seen in any Troll. Ay've wanted ta tell y'all how ay felt faw so long, but ay was always nervous 'cause-,"
"Y'all was scared...of how ay maheet react," holly asked.
Gust nodded, looking down in case Holly was gonna reject him, but then, he heard Holly sniffle, and daw her letting out tears.
Worried, he asked, "Holly, are y'all...ok"?
"Ay'm mawe than ok, Gust...ay'm...so happy," and gave the fun sheriff a huge hug, much to his surprise, as he hugged her back.
Holly then said, "Y'all have no idea how long ay've waited ta hear that 'cause...ay've been in love with ya too"!
"Y'all have," gust asked while smiling.
"Yeah, sugar. You're the sweetest, fairest, and most handsome Fun Sheriff ay've evuurr known, but underneath all that work exterior, your interior is the best of y'all ay love the most. Y'all are just as compassionate about making sure Trolls play fair as ay am about makin' sure Trolls are happy. Y'all always know just what ta say ta make thing raheet ayn'...whel...that sugar southern charm ov yours just warms my heart. Ay've been crushin' on y'all faw ayy while too, ayn' was always too scared ta come forward ta tell y'all. but now, ay ken say it with all my heart: Gust Tumbleweed, ay love ya"!
"Ayn' Holly Darlin', y'all do me great honors in sayin': Holly Darlin', ay love ya too," Gust Tumbleweed replied.
The two Country Trolls, driven by the explosion of their love, lunged forward and shared a romantic kiss together while on the blimp, their love soarig as high as the blimp was.
After their really fun date in the air, Holly and Gust trotted back to the condo, where they saw everyone in the lobby, intermingling and having a blast.
"Howdy, y'all, we're back," Holly shouted.
a lot of heads turned and gasped happily when they saw Gust and holly holding hands together, especially Poppy, who squealed and said, "Wow, did you guys actually.."?!
"Indeed we did, Ms. Poppy. Holly ayn' ay...we're officially ayy couple," Gust announced, resulting in cheers all over the place.
"Atta boy, Gust," Guy Diamond cheered.
"Way to go, Holly," Rhythm, Val, and Minuet cheered.
Buckaroo trotted over to Holly, giving her best friend a big hug, saying, "Ay knew y'all could do it! Ayn' about taame too"!
McJagger gave Gust a high five, saying, "Welcome to the club, Gust"!
"This is truly the day of love, baby," Low-Note Jones commented, adding, "Oh, what a world"!
Buckaroo then gave a shrill whistle, saying, "Y'all, ken ay have ever'one's attenshun please"?
Everyone turned around and faced the detective, while Holly and Gust went to join the crowd.
The detective took a deep breath in and out before saying, "Ay...have somethin' very important ay need ta tell y'all. Ay been real nervous 'bout coming out with this, but..ay just ken't hold it in any longuurr. Y'all..."
Buckaroo gulped, but held her ground as she declared, "Ay'm...non-binary."
The condo grew silent with surprised facial expressions, jaws dropped in shock, and a few confused looks, mostly from the little kids, and Beat, who asked, "What does that mean"?
Buckaroo explained as she took off her regular hat and placed on the custom-made hat that showed the non-binary colors, "It means...ay don't label myself as ayy boy aw ayy girl. Ayn' ay prefer they/them pronouns, meaning ay don't like being called "her" aw "she." Ay've been keepin' this insaade ov me faw ayy while now, especially from y'all, because ay was worried 'bout how y'all were gonna react. But, naw matturr what y'all want ta say aw do, go raheet ahead, but ay ain't changin' my maand, because being non-binary is who ay am. It's what feels raheet faw me, ayn' it makes me be able toa express my identity best. Ay don't know if y'all laake it aw nawht, but i don't care, 'cause ay'm done tryin' ta be something ay ain't. Ay wanna be me...ayn' this is my first big step ta bein' who ay truly am."
Buckaroo awaited in silence, worried about how everyone was gonna react, but then, Dante was the first to speak up, saying, "Oh my...why did you never come to us about this sooner"?
Buckaroo was surprised, saying, "Huh? Y'all are...ok with it"?
"More than ok, we're happy for you," Demo exclaimed, with everyone also nodding and chattering in agreement.
"We never even knew you were non-binary, and we've been using the wrong pronouns around you this whole time, we're so sorry," Legsley stated.
"Naw, naw, y'all don't need ta apologize faw anythin'. Ay'm sawry ay nevuurr came ta y'all soonuurr 'bout it. Ay was worried what y'all maheet think ov me if ay told y'all," Buckaroo replied.
"Buckaroo, we could never think of you any differently, just because you're non-binary," Blues commented.
"Plus, it's so cool! My dad was non-binary too, so you and him have something in common," Melody added on.
"What your sexuality is couldn't evuurr change our thoughts ov what we think 'bout ya, Bucky," Delta replied.
"Yeah, we all love you for who you are as a Troll," Branch added on.
"You're the bravest, strongest, most honest detective we know, and the most loyal of friends we know. those are the only things we think about you as all the time, and nothing can ever change that," Quincy commented, with everyone else nodding in agreement.
Buckaroo smiled, saying, "Oh y'all...y'all have naw idea how happy ay am ta hear that."
"Plus, I definitely got to commend you for being real brave to tell us this. You got guts there cowgirl-uh, I mean, cow-there, um...what should I call you," Barb asked.
Buckaroo chuckled, saying, "How about just by my name faw now"?
"Yeah, that'll make it easier till I get used to using they/them around you," Barb replied.
"And I got to say, they definitely are very proud of their decision, and I'm in full support all the way," Aggie replied.
"Me too, y'all," Holly declared.
"Me too," Cooper added.
Everyone else agreed easily, before uniting for a big group hug.
Then, Synth shouted, "Hey, yo! We still got Valentine's Day daylight out there. Let's party, yo"!
Everyone cheered happily before they saw Poppy pull out her cowbell and hit a beat with it while Riff accompanied her on the drums, with Branch sliding in with a microphone in his hand.

Poppy gestured Aggie, Holly, and Laguna to join in alongside her.

Trollex then borrowed the microphone to sing the next part.
Trollex: I got me a car; it's big as a Whale Critter (Poppy, Holly, Aggie, and Laguna: Love getaway)! And we're headin' on down to the love shack (Poppy, Holly, Aggie, and Laguna: Love getaway)!
I got me a Dune Huggy, it seats about twenty (Poppy, Holly, Aggie, and Laguna: Love getaway)! So hurry up and bring your jukebox money!

McJagger hopped in and sang with Gust.
