Reaching Out In Grief

It was early in the morning in Harmonious Land, the day after Aggies' really fun and eventful Friends' Night party, and while up on the surface above, the sun was starting to rise, as its early rays of sunshine shined onto the ground, seeping through the tiny holes of the land's ceiling, slowly illuminating all of Harmonious Land.

Inside the condo, all of the Main Trolls were asleep in their rooms.

In Val and Melody's room, Val was asleep in her bedroom, laid out on top of the bed, with her guitar laying on her stomach.

In Melody's bedroom, the Pop/Rock Troll was snuggled under the covers, hugging Trends, her toy Glitter Gator, close to her.

Suddenly, there was a buzzing, vibrating sound that came from her phone, making Melody weakly raise her arm up to grab it off her nightstand.

She brought it close to her and turned off her alarm before she grabbed her calendar and was set to mark off the day when she saw something written on the calendar in the box for the current date.

Melody looked at it in shock, gasping, as it read, "Dad Memorial Day event with mom" in the box that had today's date on it.

Melody placed her hand on it and sighed forlornly before placing the calendar on the bed face-down, feeling tears build up around her eyes.

She reached over to her Snuggle toy and hugged it, silently crying into the toy Glitter Gator.

A little while later, Melody finally stopped crying and mustered the strength to get out of bed, get changed, and head downstairs via the elevator. As she made it to the lobby, she was luckily the first Troll downstairs, and it gave her a chance to find a way to distract her mind.

She pulled out a blackboard that had a giant map of Harmonious Land and was writing some stuff on the board around it.

At that moment, Val and Demo had come down on the elevator and were coming towards the living room when they saw Melody and were surprised about what she was doing, especially Val.

In confusion, Val raised an eyebrow while asking, "Uh...you feelin' ok, Melly"?

Melody turned around, facing her older cousin and Demo, saying, "Morning, you two: I feel great! Today's gonna be a productive day of making fun memories here in Harmonious Land"!

When she leaned against the board, it fell down to the floor with a crash, making her sheepishly chuckle before saying, "Look," while tossing a paper scroll at them.

Val unraveled the scroll to read what looked like a checklist, saying as she and Demo read it, "Successfully build a strong bond with the Magic Musical Trolls? Learn about all types of magic? Figuring out new ways to make a stage dive after a Rock concert look epic"?

Melody then stated while some of the papers she had in her hands fell to the floor, "Look, I already learned how to do this brand new trick just this morning"!

Melody ushered Demo to stand back a bit, saying, "Excuse me, Demo," before she used her hair to project herself up into the air, where she did two front flips and posed before landing on one hand on the floor, adding, "I call it the double decker special"!

Demo chuckled in amusement, applauding while saying, "Ooh! That'll work great for our next concert! I bet the crowds would love that"!

Val, however, was still more curious as to why Melody seemed to be so...energetic this morning.

Melody then said, "And I'm already building a cool device that'll let us be able to experiment how to produce our own forms of magic as well," as, underneath a white tarp, there was something else underneath it that seemed to cave in, and fall into pieces when a little breeze blew by, making Melody sheepishly comment, "Uh, it's a work in progress."

Then, she quickly jumped back, saying, "But look at this," before pulling out Val's cellphone and scrolling through her Loveagram.

Val, seeing this, asked, "Melly, did you steal my Loveagram account"?

Melody scoffed while replying, "No, I borrowed it because I got a daily events insider getting info about all things MMT. Aggie gave me her cousin Tori's contact."

On Val's phone, it showed a message typed out, "So, what's rocking on? Anything new coming up"? And there was currently a message being typed up that said, "Don't talk to me, I'm busy," then an image of a puppy sleeping on top of a rock guitar showed up, then a new text that said, "sorry, wrong message," before another one showed up below it, saying, "Meant to send to a different person."

Val was still feeling very confused about what was going on, and it didn't help that she was developing a sneaking suspicion that there was something that Melody was keeping hidden from her. Speaking up, Val crossed her arms while saying, "You're hiding something. Spill it, Melly."

Melody first pretended to have no idea, saying, "I am not, Val"!

But then, her eyes lowered a bit in sadness as she said, "Maybe I am," before letting out a deep sad sigh and commenting while rubbing her right arm, "Okay I definitely am."

Val wrapped her favorite purple leather jacket over Melody while Melody explained to both Val and Demo, looking down sadly, "See...I didn't think we were gonna have to "celebrate" this day while we were here but...today's the anniversary of..."you know what," while showing them both the calendar.

Val and Demo both looked at the calendar and gasped in shock at what today's date was, as Demo commented, "Oh no! That's today? Oh man, I completely forgot. I'm sorry, Mel."

Melody replied while hugging the ends of the jacket close, "It's ok Demo...if anything, I was hoping if no one knew about...today, because if the others find out about this, especially Aggie, they're gonna shower me with so much sympathy, it'll be too much to bear, and...I don't know if my mentality will be able to take it."

Val could see tears starting to form around her cousin's eyes as she brought Melody into a hug, letting her cry gently into her shoulder while she said, "Hey, hey, it's ok, Melly. You know how much I miss him too. Uncle Bill was probably the first Pop Troll I actually kind of liked before befriending Popsqueak."

Melody sniffled and took a minute to try and catch her breath, wiping her tears away while saying, "I really miss him, Val. Guess today's gonna be a really hard day for us."

Demo then suggested, "You know what might help? What you need is a healthy distraction; something to take your mind off of today so it doesn't bother you as much. Like breakfast"!

Val and Melody couldn't help but chuckle a bit about how Demo usually liked to think about his stomach first thing in the morning, as Demo then quickly said, "But hey, we're both here for you if there's anything we can do to help you feel better, Mel."

Melody smiled in response, saying, "Thanks, Demo," before she let her thoughts roam, thinking that if her mind was distracted, she might be able to get through the day without anyone knowing, and without breaking into a full-blown sob, like last year. So, she then commented, "And yeah, sure, I could go for some pancakes," while giving both Demo and Val small hugs in return.

Val gently patted Melody on the back while saying, "Let us know if you need anything, Melly," as Melody nodded, saying, "Sure. Um...I'm gonna sit on the couch for a bit. I'll meet up with you guys in the kitchen later to help serve."

Val and Demo walked over to the kitchen to start prepping breakfast while Melody walked over to the living room, sitting down on the couch. she placed Val's leather jacket on one of the couch cushions before positioning herself so she was sitting upright, and took a minute to sigh, still feeling sad about today. The grief from when her dad died was not easy to deal with, and it never seemed like it would go away, so it always brought down her mood on this day in particular.

Suddenly, Melody heard the elevator door ding, and saw the rest of the Trolls starting to come out of it, meaning everyone else had woken up and was set for the day ahead.

One of those Trolls that Melody saw was Aggie, who flew up to her, saying, "Mel, I have a problem and it could distract us all day"!

Seeing this as the chance to have her mind distracted by something to take her mind off of today, Melody pulled out a smile and got up, replying excitedly, "Tell me all about it and don't spare a single detail"!

Aggie flew over to Melody and sat next to her, saying, "Well, see...it all started this morning."

Flashback to earlier today...

Aggie was looking at a flyer for a musical showcase that was being held in Cabatwand, when she heard a voice saying, "Well, well, well, if it isn't the weirdo."

Aggie groaned and looked up, spotting Scarlet and her bandmates behind the Magic Rock Troll, as Aggie retorted, "Scarlet, what in Troll blazes are you doing here"?

Scarlet held up a flyer that was just like the one Aggie was looking at, saying, "I heard about the big musical showcase that's going on today at Cabatwand and-,"

Aggie rolled her eyes, saying, "Let me guess: you had a feeling I was gonna compete and came to taunt me? Or say that you're gonna enter it and try to humiliate me on stage"?

Scarlet chuckled, saying, "You're not as dumb as you look, but actually, as much as I would love to compete, I can't. I'm saving my singing voice for my family's karaoke contest tomorrow, and I can't risk losing my voice to booing when I hear you squawking on stage."

Aggie growled in anger, saying, "You're the one squawking, Scarlet, if you think I'm gonna fall for your taunts. Besides, I'm not even competing it; I plan on watching the showcase this time."

Scarlet then said, "Good for you then, because Nadine will be competing in my place, and set to outshine any MMT performer in Cabatwand, including you, if you were competing. So, consider yourself lucky you're not competing, "Master of All Music," as Nadine stepped forward, chuckling smugly.

End of flashback...

Aggie was sitting on the couch with Melody, saying, "And now, Nadine's gonna be competing, and I just know that Scarlet's gonna do something to make that Magic Pop Troll cheat and win this showcase."

Melody understood, saying, "This does not surprise me; that no-good lava plume is as sneaky as a weasel, and I wouldn't trust her one bit."

Aggie then sighed while adding, "The worst part is that I'm more worried about the other MMTs who want to take part in the musical showcase too because I just know that Scarlet and her bandmates are gonna do something to sabotage their performances to make Nadine seem like the better singer and help her win each round. And as much as I do want to compete, if I do, even after saying I wasn't, Scarlet's gonna think that I know that I'm onto her and make her "Attempts" of cheating more secretive. Or accuse me of doing it."

Melody took note of this before suddenly getting an idea, saying, "Well, hey, I'm here to help. You participate in the musical showcase in secret."

When Aggie heard Melody's idea, she was stunned, asking, "What," as Melody retorted playfully, "Come on, you know I always go for the chaotic route. Remember that time we tried to get Sky Toronto to smile"?

Aggie couldn't help but snicker, saying, "Yeah, let's say that camping trip was more or less successful, and definitely a lot crazy."

Melody then added, "And if you win, then it'll be an added bonus, along with stopping Scarlet from trying to cheat at the musical showcase."

Trollex then floated over to the couch, saying, "Did someone say "Musical Showcase," and sat next to his girlfriend, sipping on a cup of coffee as he commented, "I love watching those things on TV; they're loads of fun. Plus, if you go to compete, I'd love to see my beautiful girlfriend sing on stage and have my ears blessed by her beautiful voice."

Aggie felt her cheeks flush red while blushing, as Trollex kissed her on the cheek, before she answered, "You know what? I'll give it a shot."

Suddenly, the trio saw Sid walking up to them, saying, "So, you're performing in secret to bust someone's cheating spree, huh? Count me in."

Aggie rolled her eyes while asking, "Why? Haven't you always said singing sounds like frogs croaking"?

The disguised Flexi-Troll rolled his eyes in response, saying, "Your sarcasm is as appetizing as Delta's flapjacks. But actually, I was referring to helping you guys."

Trollex raised his unibrow, asking, "Why do you want to help us"?

Sid retorted, "Well, as part of learning how to be more social, Poppy suggested that I'd offer my help in things, and well, this does seem like a "Helping" opportunity. So, why not? Besides, to stop a cheating sneak, one must think like one, and I think I can help be able to keep an eye on the wicked witch while you're up bellowing your pipes on stage."

Aggie felt a little unsure but was willing to give it a shot, saying, "If you're really sure you can keep an eye on Scarlet, then...ok, you can help us too. But she can't know that I'm gonna be in this showcase. not until at least after the showcase, or after we prevent her from cheating."

Melody then said, "No worries, Ags, we got ya girl."

Later on, in Cabatwand, all of the Normal Trolls came to watch the showcase and cheer on Aggie, even if she was gonna be performing in secret. At the same time, Trollex and Melody, with Sid in his Pop Troll disguise, was leading Aggie to an area a bit far from the stage, while Trollex was saying, "Ok, Aggie, we got two fellow Magic Musical Trolls to help you be able to dawn the perfect disguise so that you can be able to compete in the musical showcase undercover."

Aggie, curious, asked, "Really? Who'd you get to help"?

On cue, Noel and Agnes jumped out in front of Aggie, saying in unison, "Hey, little sister"!

Aggie crossed her arms and pouted cutely, as Trollex and Melody giggled, with Sid saying, "Oh, it's her older half-siblings. Smart."

Agnes playfully punched Aggie's shoulder while saying, "We're proud of you, sis," while Noel added, "You're becoming more of a rebellious Troll every day."

Agnes then commented, "Ok, Noel, hand over your scarf."

Noel scoffed while saying, "Like I'd need that thing-," before he saw Agnes trying to take a light blue scarf from his pocket, as he retorted, "Hey, give that back"!

Agne retorted while trying to keep her brother from taking it back, "Don't play games, Noel, besides, Aggie needs it"!

Noel shouted, "But why my scarf"?!

Aggie, Trollex, Sid, and Melody watched the two siblings argue back and forth for a while, with Aggie commenting, "This shouldn't take too long."

While currently stuck in a headlock, Noel commented, "Wait, what's that supposed to mean"?

Agnes, however, took it as a chance to nab the scarf, saying, "Gotcha," as Noel grumbled under his breath, saying, "You better take good care of that thing! I spent half of my allowance on it"!

Agnes gave Aggie the scarf while saying as she pulled out a dark blue, glittery dress, "And one of my old dresses for a little extra flair."

Aggie accepted both articles of clothing and flew behind a tree to slip into her disguise. Once she was changed, Aggie came out, wearing some brown boots that Silovay had lent her (before she ran away and had forgotten to give back), the dress, the scarf wrapped around her neck, and was wearing some big, fancy red sunglasses over her eyes, and was wearing a fancy dark blue sunhat with a light blue stripe on her head, making her disguise complete.

Aggie looked at her outfit and spun around, saying, "Hmmm, not bad," as Trollex excitedly picked up Aggie, hugging her, while saying, "So pretty"!

Aggie couldn't help but blush, keeping it secret since her siblings didn't know about her and Trollex's relationship, as Trollex kept the spinning hug short and brief, so her siblings wouldn't get suspicious, but that didn't stop Aggie from chuckling in awe.

Sid commented, "Well, on the plus side, no one's gonna recognize Aggie in that outfit."

Melody nodded, saying, "Yep, it's all gonna be worth it."

Sid suddenly turned his head around and saw Scarlet and her team approaching the stage, as Sid smirked, saying, "Time to get to work," as he ran off to follow Scarlet.

He walked up to the Magic Rock Troll, and said, "Boo," which made Scarlet jump a bit in fright before she saw Sid and scowled, saying, "Oh, it's one of you weird Normal Trolls."

Sid chuckled, saying while crossing his arms and leaning against a tree, "I'll take that as a compliment, thank you. And how have you been? Practicing your singing after you and your band got utterly beaten on stage by the Troll Harmony band"?

Scarlet growled in anger as Sid then commented while placing his hands, "Alright alright, chill out, hot head, I can still see that it's a sore subject. So, uh, just out of curiosity, what brings you here? I thought you weren't gonna compete since you don't want to wreck your precious vocal pipes."

Scarlet retorted, "If you must know, while I'm not competing, my friends and I are here supporting Nadine and we're gonna be cheering loudly for her when we get to see her win."

Sid smirked, saying, "That confident that your cotton candy cuckoo brained pal is gonna win, huh"?

Scarlet answered, "Oh, you bet. So, why don't you make like a chicken and walk away? Maybe across the road to get to the other side of it, away from here"?

Sid chuckled, saying, "Well, I can see where I'm not wanted: but I choose to stay, because I'm a fan of the art of music. So, I'm gonna make like honey and stick around. So, love it or hate it, I'm here all day."

Scarlet groaned while rolling her eyes as she paid attention to the stage, along with Sid, as he peered his eyes towards where Trollex and Melody were standing to root for Aggie.

Meanwhile, President Trollazon walked onto the stage, with a microphone in hand saying to the crowd, "Ladies and gentleTrolls, welcome to to the Cabatwand Musical Showcase"!

The crowd all cheered loudly in excitement, including the Normal Trolls, who had all gathered together in the audience and were cheering loudly too.

President Trollazon then announced, "You know the rules; performers will sing-battle one-on-one, either the same song, depending on genre, or different songs, trying to persuade the judges," and pointed at the judges, who were Governor Rodrigo, Congresswoman amelia, and Captain Raven, while adding, "That they are the better singers, not just for honor, not just for glory, but for fun, getting to share their musical talents with everyone! And the winner will receive this shiny 10ft trophy," while showing off a very tall trophy, before saying, "Now, let's get ready to rumble, music style"!

Hearing that made the crowd cheer happily, as Synth commented, "Yeah! I haven't been this excited since the Battle of the Bands contest, yo"!

Poppy added, "Woohoo, Aggie is gonna so nail this-," before Branch warned Poppy, "Easy, Poppy. Remember, we can't shout her name out loud, so Scarlet or her bandmates don't overhear by accident that she's performing undercover."

Essence then said, "Besides, while these events are fun, we should also remember to act civilized and poised. Some of us are royalty after all, and we need to set a prime example for every Troll to follow."

Back on stage, President Trollzaon then announced, "For our first round, we have Shimmer, the Sensational"!

Shimmer rode a wave that she conjured up onto the stage, flashing a smile at the audience, as they all cheered for her.

President Trollazon then announced, "And her performer competitor will be the Amazing Ags"!

Aggie used her newly controlled flower magic to make a flower staircase that she hopped down step by step and landed gracefully on the stage. She took a minute to turn her head and waved at her friends, then at Trollex, Melody and her siblings, who were cheering for her on the side, as Trollex was sending Aggie a lot of air kisses.

In the crowd, Sid was keeping an eye on Scarlet while with the rest of the main Trolls, they were cheering, while Essence declared, at the top of her lungs, with possibly the loudest voice ever heard, "COME ON, AMAZING AGS"!

The cheer itself was enough to shock all the Normal Trolls, but also impress them with the Funk queen's enthusiasm.

Both performers stared each other down, with Shimmer saying, "Let's put on a fun show for the crowd"!

Aggie nodded in agreement, not wanting to speak in case Shimmer recognized her voice and spoke her name out loud by accident.

President Trollazon raised her hand up high and declared, "Now, let the showcase begin"!

Shimmer pressed a button on her radio, so it was playing Techno Music, while whipping out a microphone to start singing, as Aggie knew well that she and Shimmer were about to have a Techno showdown.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~HandClap by Fitz and the Tantrums~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
(instrumental)
Both: Turn it up!
(instrumental)
Shimmer: Somebody save our souls 'cause there's been trouble in this city, I know! Too many problems, all these issues got us losin' control! I need my friends beside me, to aid me, help things shine like gold! We want the good life, and the calm nights, with our futures untold!
'Cause, we don't even know!
I can make your hands clap! Said, I can make your hands clap!
Aggie: Somebody save our souls 'cause there's been trouble in this city, I know! Too many problems, all these issues got us losin' control! I need my friends beside me, to aid me, help things shine like gold! When we're together, we can weather through the storms and unfolds!
'Cause, we don't even know!
I can make your hands clap! Said, I can make your hands clap!
Shimmer: Every night when the stars come out!
Aggie: Am I the only living soul around?
Shimmer: Used to believe nothing can hold us down!
Aggie: But now, we need some great teamwork right now!
Both: We can be playing till the sun comes out! And when the sun rises, it's the only sound!
Aggie: And then, we can party, bringing the roof down!
Both: 'Cause, I can make your hands clap!
While Aggie and Shimmer started to dance to the instrumental, Melody was watching, sitting on a rock, while in her mind, her thoughts were racing, thinking Wow, Aggie's got this in the bag! Nadine is gonna be beaten easily! Guess I, uh, don't need to do much.
While Melody continued to watch the show, Melody could feel her thoughts race a lot more, making her more nervous, as she thought I can just...sit back and...think about things.
Melody then saw the calendar she had peeking out from her pants pocket, pulling it out to look at today's date again, as Agnes peered over Melody's shoulder, saying, "Hey, Mel," while Noel commented, "Ooh, what's that"?
The Pop/Rock Troll squeaked in nervousness and rolled up the calendar, stuffing it back in her pocket, as Agnes, in concern, asked, "You ok"?
Melody smiled and nervously scratched the back of her head while saying, "Yeah! Uh, yeah, I'm fine"!
Melody let out a quiet nervous chuckle while adding, "'Cause...I just remembered the other part of the plan"!
Suddenly, Melody heard someone ask, "There's anothuurr part," and saw Buckaroo approaching her, making Melody ask, "Buckaroo, what are you doing here"?
Buckaroo replied, "Trollex asked me ta come by ayn' lend ayy hand in makin' sure Aggie's in tip-top shape ta be perfawmin' in this here showcase," while Trollex, who was riding on Buckaroo's back, added, "Figured since she and Aggie are detective partners, Buckaroo'd make a good coach for her."
Melody smiled, saying, "Great idea, Trollex," before Buckaroo asked, "So, about this here othurr part ov your plan"?
Melody replied, "Oh yeah, that! See, Aggie is totally gonna out-perform all the other contestants like, for sure, and is a shoe-in to beat Nadine, so long as Sid makes sure Scarlet doesn't cheat. But, if I was singing, too, we can both beat Nadine faster! So, I'm also gonna sign up for the showcase"!
While Melody proclaimed that, the song ended and the crowd was cheering for both competitors, as the judges held us signs with "Ags's" face on them, showing that they all voted for Aggie, as President Trollazon held Aggie's hand high while saying, "The Amazing Ags wins round 1"!
After receiving another round of applause, and walking down the stage to meet up with Trollex, Buckaroo (who gave her some water to drink), her siblings, and Melody, and was told about Melody going to take part in the showcase as well, Aggie asked, "Wait, how is this supposed to help me"?
Melody was doing some vocal exercises before she answered, "Think of it like a tag team tournament, but for singing. If I'm singing in this contest too, it doubles our chances to beat Nadine, you'll have less worries about Scarlet cheating to worry about, giving you more chances to win that trophy."
Aggie felt a little unsure about the idea, and also had a bit of concern for Melody, asking, "Mel, just asking, is everything ok? Val told me it's a special day for you."
Melody felt a bit taken aback hearing that Val hinted to her best friend about what today was, as she straightened up and replied nervously, "She did? I-It's nothing for you to worry about. not even worth talking about! Really, I-I just wanna help you. Besides, can't let you take all the fun, Galido," while playfully elbowing Aggie's ribs in a playing/teasing manner that best friends do sometimes.
Aggie chuckled and replied, nudging Melody's shoulder, "Easy on the last name or else you'll be seeing darkness. And if you're really sure, then ok, but just don't get hurt, or overdo it too much, ok"?
Melody chuckled, saying, "This is your best friend you're talking about. I got the nature of Pop, and the Rock-solid toughness. Buckaroo, do you know about vocal care"?
Buckaroo answered, "Just enough ta make suurr none ov y'all get laryngitis befawe the final round."
Agnes replied, "We'll help too; Noel and I can get some chamomile tea to help you two rest your throats," as she and Noel went to go get tea.
Meanwhile, after the siblings had left, Trollex added, "And I'll help too! As Aggie's girlfriend, I shall provide moral support," and kissed Aggie on the lips, making her blush while saying, "Trollex, careful, we don't want to get seen."
Trollex replied, "Don't worry, no one's looking, so it was the perfect moment."
Later on after a few more competitors went, President Trollazon re-emerged on stage, saying, "Let's keep the showcase going! On my left, we have the Noble Nadine"!
Nadine snapped her fingers as a flower grew from underneath her and brought her to the stage, as she smiled, and saw her friends (Scarlet and her bandmates) cheering for her in the front of her.
President Trollazon then said, "And on my right, a last minute entry..."
In the blink of an eye, the Magic Musical Trolls in the crowd saw a purple/pink highlighted hairball falling to the stage, before two ends of hair stuck out and made it bounce up, like springs, as it unfurled and revealed to be Melody, who had on some brand new attire as part of he costume for the showcase. Melody was wearing a dark red tutu dress with a side slit that hung around her upper thighs, black ripped jeans, so her real leg and her purple prosthetic was partially exposed, she still kept on her rainbow tie-dye glittered sneakers, over her dress, she wore a brand new leather jacket, with the left half of it white-and-orange tiger striped design, while the other half looked like it had tie-dye splotches, with purple, dark blue, green, and red coloring on it. And Melody had restyled her ponytail so instead of it being held by a scrunchy, it was held by a bit of her long hair, as the rest of it cascaded down nice and straight.
"Melody the Marvelous," exclaimed Trollazon.
All of the Normal Trolls in the audience were indeed surprised to see Melody not only competing but in this stunning new apparel as well.
Barb exclaimed, "Ok, what the heck," while Holly shouted, "What in the name ov my big beautiful hair did she do ta huurr...huurr hair"?!
Satin added, "And her clothing," while Chenille shouted as she covered her eyes, "The colors and designs all clash too much! too much, I tell you"!
Val muttered under her breath so Demo could hear her, but no one else, "Demo, when you said that she needed a healthy distraction, did you mean for her to do THIS," while referencing to her cousin up on stage.
Demo replied while shrugging, "I just thought she'd do an activity or a game, I didn't think she was gonna do this"!
Delta, in concern, asked, "What is that gerl doin'," while Poppy added, "Maybe she just wanted to give this showcase a try; I know we would if we had the chance."
Branch, however, had a feeling that there was something else going on, and he wasn't alone, since the rest of the leaders, and some of the fellow Trolls who weren't cheering for Melody in support, all felt a bit concerned as well.
On the sidelines, Aggie, Buckaroo, and Trollex were shocked by the change in Melody's apparel, as Agnes and Noel were cheering their friend on.
Scarlet was in downright disbelief to see Nadine facing Melody, as Sid, seeing the look on Scarlet's face, took a picture, before shouting, "Go, Melody! Beat that Magic Pop Troll"!
Nadine and Melody faced each other on stage, as Pesident Trollazon announced, "Let the next round commence"!
Nadine threw a CD into a radio, which started to play a Pop song.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Rain on Me by Lady Gaga ft Ariana Grande~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Nadine: I didn't ask for a free ride! I only asked you to show me a real good time! I never asked for the rainfall! At least I showed up, you showed me nothing at all!

It's coming down on me! Water like misery! It's coming down on me! I'm ready, rain on me!

I'd rather be dry, but at least I'm alive! Rain on me, rain, rain! Rain on me, rain, rain! I'd rather be dry, but at least I'm alive! Rain on me, rain, rain! Rain on me!

Melody felt the beat of the music as she then started to dance and sing, her vocals and moves not only surprising Nadine, but it seemed to really impress the audience as well, and shocked Scarlet and her friends to see a Normal Troll pairing toe on toe in musical skills with a Magic Musical Troll.

Melody: Rain on me! Mmh, oh yeah, baby! Rain on me!

Livin' in a world where no one's innocent! Oh, but at least we try, mmh! Gotta live my truth, not keep it bottled in! So I don't lose my mind, baby, yeah!

I can feel it on my skin!

Nadine: It's coming down on me!

Melody: Teardrops on my face!

Nadine: Water like misery!

Melody: Let it wash away the pain!

Nadine: It's coming down on me!

Melody: Let it wash awa-a-ay, yeah!

Both: I'd rather be dry, but at least I'm alive! Rain on me, rain, rain! Rain on me, rain, rain! I'd rather be dry, but at least I'm alive! Rain on me, rain, rain! Rain (Melody: Rain! On me!)on me!

Nadine and Melody were both giving it their all, as the crowd were all cheering and enjoying the show, but as hard as Nadine was trying, Melody was miraculously overpowering her not just vocally, but with her stellar dance moves as well.

Melody: Rain on me! Rain on me! Oh yeah, yeah! Rain on me, ooh yeah! Rain on me! Rain on me, ooh!

Both: Hands up to the sky, I'll be your galaxy! I'm about to fly; rain on me, tsunami!

Hands up to the sky, I'll be your galaxy! I'm about to fly! Rain on me (Nadine: Rain on me!)!

I'd rather be dry, but at least I'm alive (Melody: Rain on me!)! Rain on me, rain, rain! Rain on me, rain, rain (Nadine: Rain on me!)! I'd rather be dry, but at least I'm alive (Melody: At least I'm alive!)! Rain on me, rain, rain (Melody: Rain on me!)! Rain on me (Nadine: Rain on me!)!

I hear the thunder coming down! Won't you rain on me? Eh, eh, yeah (Nadine: Rain on, woo!)! I hear the thunder coming down! Won't you rain on me? Eh, eh, yeah!

Melody: Rain on me!

After their round ended, the crowd cheered while the judges made their decision. the judges all held three signs up with Melody's picture on it, which meant that she had won the round, as President Trollazon held Melody's hand up, saying, "Melody wins the round"!

The crowd cheered loudly as Nadine grumpily marched off the stage, with Scarlet and her friends in disbelief that Nadine lost! To a Normal Troll! Who joined at the last minute!

Sid saw this and cackled, saying, "Ha! Looks like you just got your butts handed to you by a Mixed Troll; guess that's the new "Normal"; OOOOOOHHHHHHHHHHH," while smirking to signify his burn.

Scarlet grimaced while saying, "Come on, guys," angrily as she and her bandmates left, with Nadine joining them, while Sid smiled, saying, "Guess someone isn't cheating today."

Meanwhile, with Scarlet and her bandmates, Nadine was saying, "Scarlet, I'm so sorry! I thought I'd win but that-,"

Scarlet interrupted her by saying, "Don't apologize, it wasn't your fault. That crowd just got temporarily amazed by that Normal Troll's "Weak" performance. You're ten times better than she is! And if they can't see your talent, we're just gonna have to make sure no one sees her talent for the rest of the contest. Zyrus, you still got your science kit"?

The male Magic Techno Troll pulled out his science kit, saying, "Yeah, but what are you gonna do with it"?

Scarlet then turned towards Opal, saying, "Think you can call a canary"?

Opal shrugged and answered, "I can try, but why"?

Scarlet rubbed her hands while saying, "You'll see."

As Scarlet and her friends began to plot, the musical showcase continued on, as performers gave it everything they had to demonstrate their talents and give the crowd the show of a lifetime.

At the moment, a Magic Rock Troll was singing, while by the sidelines, Buckaroo was giving Aggie some water while Trollex patted her on the back, with Noel and Agnes overseeing their little sister's well-being.

Melody, however, was stretching her legs, saying, "Woo, yeah! This is a workout! You doin' ok, Aggie"?

Aggie didn't answer her verbally but gave Melody a smile and a thumbs-up as her reply.

Melody then continued on, saying, "Reminds me of the time you tried to practice opera and accidentally broke a glass-,"

Buckaroo then interrupted Melody by saying, "Mel, maybe we could talk latuurr? Aggie needs ta rest huurr voice."

Melody took Buckaroo's advice, saying, "Oh, of course, of course. I'll just uh...sit here...with my thoughts."

Melody sat down on the ground, as her mind and thoughts began to race again, making her worry, as she thought I just need a healthy distraction...A healthy distraction...

Melody could feel the calendar she hid in her jacket flap around in the light breeze, as she got up, saying, "I'm gonna take a walk," and went to stroll down on a nearby path, with Aggie watching Melody in concern. She felt really worried about her best friend and was hoping Melody was ok.

When Melody was alone, she pulled out her calendar, saying to it, "Next time, I am dunking you in the toilet"!

However, she wasn't looking where she was going and ended up bumping into someone by accident, making Melody look up, quickly hiding the calendar in the back of her hair, and see who it was, which turned out to be Branch, the rest of the leaders (sans Trollex), Rhythm and Blues, Sid, Holly, and Laguna.

Melody looked at he friends, saying, "Oh, hey guys, what's up? Enjoying the show"?

Branch then broke the ice, saying, "Mel, we want to ask you...are you ok"?

Holly added, "We noticed today, y'all have been ayy bit mawe...how should ay put this here...enuurrgetic ayn'...peppy," while Laguna commented, "A little bit too peppy," while Poppy added, "Which is usually my thing, and when a Troll is extra peppy, it means something is wrong."

Essence then replied, "Is there something going on that we need to know about," while Delta added, "Aw are ya haadin' somethin' we need ta know about"?

Melody nervously gulped while saying, "What? N-No, nothing's wrong or nothing's being hidden. E-Everything's just fine and peachy is all," and nervously smiled, not wanting to admit what was really going on.

Rhythm then said, "Look, Mel, we get it; when you have something on your mind, you can feel like you don't want to talk about it," while Blues mentioned, "But once you do let it all out-," as Melody gulped, muttering, "Please don't say "Let it all out," while Blues added, "You'll feel so much better."

Sid stated, "Plus, we can tell something's up. so, you might as well tell us."

Trollzart added, "We're your friends, Ms. Song, and we care about you just as much as your family does," while Quincy mentioned, "And we're here to help if there's something wrong."

Melody could feel her hesitancy rising, making her say, "T-There's n-nothing to talk about. I-I'm fine...really."

Barb approached Melody while saying, "Hey, I can tell when something's up with one of my people, and while you're Pop and Rock, you're still one of my people, and I can sense there's something wrong with you, so, what's up"?

Melody then said, with a hint of snark, "I said I'm fine. I appreciate you all looking out for me, but there's nothing to talk about," and started to walk away.

Suddenly, Melody felt her ankles get bounded by Poppy and Branch's hair, as Poppy said, "Sorry, but we can see something is wrong. why won't you talk to us"?

Branch added, "And we won't let go until you start opening up."

Melody fought against the restraints, shouting, "No way, not talking, nothing to talk about," and pulled out her scissors, cutting the restraints and freeing her, before she scrambled to her feet, shouting, "Stay back"!

Barb chased after her and tackled Melody to the ground, catching her in a headlock while saying, "Admit what's wrong! You're obviously hiding something"!

Melody fought against the Rock Queen's hold as Sid added, "I'd just tell her what's going on, if I were you; none of this is gonna go away until you tell us."

Melody shouted, "No! Never," before she did something drastic: she bit Barb's arm, making the Rock Queen shout in pain and hold her arm as Melody quickly escaped before anyone else could catch her.

Barb held her hand over where the Pop/Rock Troll bit her, saying, "Ow, she bit me"!

Delta raised an eyebrow, asking, "What has gotten into that lil' Troll"?

Essence answered, "Let's follow her and see if we can find out," as the group went to go find Melody.

Meanwhile, Melody had hidden behind a rock to take refuge, waiting for the group to pass before she came out, sighing in relief, saying, "That was too close."

Melody could feel her tears close to re-emerging, but she held them in, not wanting to break into a sorrowful cry in front of everyone.

Suddenly, Melody heard Aggie, Agnes, and Trollex running towards her, with Aggie saying, "Mel! Are you ok"?

Melody quickly straightened up, pretending that nothing happened, as she replied, "Oh, hey Ags! Nothing to worry about, everything's all good here."

Buckaroo then asked, "Ya suurr? Ay thought ay heard someone scream."

Melody answered, "That was, uh...the wind! You know how the wind can play tricks like that."

Trollex then answered, "That's a relief. Though I thought I heard someone shout. "Melody bit me," but that was probably the wind too."

Melody nervously chuckled, saying, "Yep, j-just the wind and nothing more."

Noel then came flying in, saying, "It's time for the final round, guys! Ags, you're up"!

Melody smiled, saying, "Knock 'em dead with your harmony, Ags"!

Trollex added, "You got this"!

Aggie smiled in determination and approached the stage, facing her final showcase opponent, who was a female Magic K-Pop Troll.

Noel and Buckaroo joined up on the sidelines to cheer on Aggie.

President Trollazon raised her hand up, saying, "We are close to end, folks, it's time for the final round: The K-Styling Karissa, and the Amazing Ags! Let the round-,"

Suddenly, before the round could even start, there was a loud SQUAWK that shook all of Cabatwand.

All of the Trolls, both Normal and Magic Musical, looked up and saw a giant, almost monster-like canary bird soaring through the sky, squawking so loudly at them.

The Magic Musical Trolls started to run and scream in panic, ducking for cover while trying to hide from the bird. Agnes and Noel quickly ran to try and help some of the civilians that needed saving.

Aggie exclaimed, "How on Earth did a giant canary get in here"?!

Suddenly, Aggie, her siblings, Melody, Trollex, and Buckaroo saw Scarlet and her friends, with one of them (Zyrus) holding a science kit.

Zyrus shouted, "I told you that adding too much oxygen peroxide into the iron was a bad idea"!

Scarlet replied, "If I had known that canary would have turned out like this, I would not have suggested it"!

Buckaroo gritted her teeth while saying, "It's them! They must be responsible faw causin' this here bird ta be huge"!

Before they could even go over to Scarlet and question her about the canary, they heard someone shout, "There she is"!

They turned around and saw the Normal Troll leaders, with Barb's arm bandaged up, and the rest of the Normal Trolls, and Sid, while Delta exclaimed, "Found ya, Song"!

Melody gulped nervously as Trollex asked, "Woah, what's going on," while Aggie asked, "And what happened to your arm, Barb"?

Barb shouted, "Well, if you want to know, ask her," while pointing at Melody, who shot her hands up while saying, "Woah woah, you started it, not me"!

Quincy then stated, "It does not matter who started it," while Trollzart mentioned, "What matters is that we get this resolved."

Melody sighed while saying, "Yeah, you're right. There's no avoiding it...," before saying, "We have to stop that canary," and ran off to help stop the canary, while Aggie exclaimed, "Mel, wait," and ran after her.

Melody ran up to the canary and waved at it, saying, "Hey, giant chicken! You like chasing Trolls? Come and get me"!

The canary squawked loudly while flying after Melody, who ran to lure it away.

However, Nadine, who still felt sore about Melody beating her earlier, used her plant magic to make a vine root trap, which caused Melody to trip and fall.

Melody winced in pain, trying to get up, when she saw the canary dive towards her, and gasped in fright, bracing to be eaten.

But just before it could eat her, Aggie pushed Melody out of the way in time, both girls tumbling to the ground.

Aggie looked at Melody, asking, "Are you ok"?

Melody nodded, saying, "Yeah, I'm alright."

Suddenly, both girls heard the canary squawk and prepared to come at them.

However, Aggie quickly used her plant magic to trap the giant bird with vines that dragged it towards the ground, pinning it, no matter how hard it tried to fight.

With the canary pinned, Rodrigo quickly ran to the front of the bird and poured a sleeping potion on it, making it fall asleep.

Once the canary was snoring away, Captain Raven dialed her phone, saying, "Hello, Animal Control? We need some help with a giant bird."

Meanwhile, Scarlet and her friends looked around to see if anyone was around before they tried to tiptoe away. However, they were stopped by Congresswoman Amelia, who had found Zyrus's science kit lying around and picked it up, asking, "Would any of you like to explain how this might be related to the bird incident"?

Scarlet and her band mates all looked at one another, nervous that they were gonna be in serious trouble.

While this went on, Aggie had found a tree to quietly sit under, far away from her friends, her siblings, the other Magic Musical Trolls, and was alone with her thoughts.

Melody had approached her, asking, "Can I, uh, sit here"?

Aggie didn't say anything, but gave a small sigh, which was interpreted as a yes, as Melody sat down beside her best friend.

Aggie then commented, "I've really been looking forward to taking part of the musical showcase. I thought it would be fun to sing for everyone, and I thought that it'd be nice to win. But then you joined the competition. And then you tried to mess with that canary on your own. You've been acting strange all day."

Melody had been looking away the whole time, feeling guilty about causing a lot of trouble today, but what got her to look at Aggie again was when she felt Aggie place a comforting hand on her shoulder and ask, "Does it have something to do with the special day Val referred to"?

Melody looked at Aggie before taking a deep breath and saying, "Okay, okay, I'll tell you. I don't talk about this 'cause it happened, like, a long time ago, and it's, like, totally not an issue anymore, but, uh..."

Melody pulled the calendar out of her hair and showed it to Aggie, who looked at the date for today while Melody continued with, "Today's the anniversary of my dad passing away. That's not an excuse for what I did. Like I said it happened a while ago, so I..."

When Melody saw the stunned/speechless/concerned look on Aggie's face, Melody bit her lip while adding, "Didn't want to bring it up."

Melody then pulled out some pictures of her and her dad when she was little, saying, "He always brought us flowers on our birthdays, so after he passed away, we started picking flowers for each other," while showing some other pictures from when Melody got a little older and was holding flowers with her mom.

Aggie looked at these pictures while Melody continued with, "And then we'd visit his grave, and me and my mom would spend the day together."

Melody brought her legs close to her chest, hugging her knees while saying, "It's nice. But this anniversary, since I'm in Harmonious Land for the month, I-I'm not with her, and I don't have any flowers. And when you told me about the problem with the showcase and Scarlet...I don't know."

Melody felt hot tears building up around her eyes as she added, "Maybe I was jealous or just needed a distraction. I was dumb. I'm sorry," and buried her face into her legs, crying softly.

Aggie gently rubbed her best friend's back, trying to soothe Melody, when she heard Trollex call for her.

Aggie got and started to run back, with Melody trying to follow, but felt her leg and prosthetic give out, making her drop to her knees.

Aggie saw this, as Melody chuckled and said, "Whoops. Got a case of the ole jelly legs. I'll catch up."

Aggie didn't want to let her best friend suffer through this alone, but she also didn't want her boyfriend to worry about her. So, she quickly turned around and said to Melody in determination, "I don't know what family traditions you have in the Hard Rock Tribe, but I'll help you pick some flowers, and we'll do something here"!

Melody felt emotionally touched that her best friend wanted to do something to help her with this rough period of time, as she watched Aggie rush back to their friends.

However, seeing Aggie run off made the grief Melody was feeling come back, strongly. Melody couldn't help but feel so helplessly alone while she grieved. As much as she did want to tell the others what was really going on, the last thing she wanted to get from them was sympathy, because she was scared the overwhelming feeling of sympathy would make her feel worse.

Melody could feel her tears returning, streaming down her face, as she tried to get rid of them. She didn't want anyone to see her cry.

Melody got up, ridding the last bit of tears she had, and saying in a teary-eyed voice, "I just...need to go somewhere and clear my head."

While thinking of where she wanted to go, Melody looked back at the path Aggie ran down to get to their friends, and whispered, "I'm sorry, guys," before running off, trying to find somewhere quiet to get her thoughts straight.

With Aggie, Aggie had ran back to where the stage was, she saw the rest of the Normal Trolls and said, "Hey, guys"!

Trollex ran to Aggie, saying, "Aggie, thank goodness you're safe! We were worried that canary got you both"!

Val ran up to Aggie, asking in concern, "Have you seen Melly, I can't find her anywhere"!

Aggie answered, "She's just sitting by a tree not too far from here, but she'll catch up in a bit."

Barb then commented, "Good, because I have some choice words for her when she comes back"!

Poppy tried to calm the frustrated Rock Queen down, saying, "Easy, Barb. I'm sure Melody did not mean to bite you, though-,"

Aggie suddenly gasped and commented, "Wait, timeout, she BIT you"?!

Trollzart explained, "Earlier, before the bird attack, we had approached Ms. Song in hopes of having her open up to us on something that seemed to be bothering her."

Essence then added, "But she did not seem like she wanted to share, and then, Barb ended up getting in a little quarrel with her when Melody tried to run, and that resulted in her biting Barb's arm before she ran off."

Holly then commented, "Ay still don't get why she's been actin' so odd. This ain't laake huurr at all, y'all."

Synth commented, "Yeah, she's usually friendly and sweet and fun, not distant and aggressive, yo."

Minuet then pondered, "Perhaps maybe she woke up on the wrong side of the bed"?

Tiny then commented, "Or maybe she just needs a good ol' group hug"!

McJagger mentioned, "Maybe she's hurt, and needs medical attention," while Prince D added, "Or her prosthetic needs fixing."

Biggie suggested, "Perhaps she is just hungry. I can offer her some "Cheer up" cupcakes."

Sid then said, "Guys, she is obviously hiding something, and doesn't want to tell us. Maybe it's a dark secret, like a secret ancestor."

Laguna questioned, "I doubt that," as Smidge added, "Besides, she doesn't keep secrets," before Delta stated, "Except this one, ayn' we are gonna faand out what it is. Aggie, ken ya lead us to the tree ya both were at"?

Aggie nodded, saying, "Sure, follow me, guys."

As Aggie led the way to the tree, Sid then commented to her, "Ooh, Aggie! You got to hear about what happened with Scarlet and her bandmates!

Over in the Music Areas, Melody had changed back into her normal attire and hairstyle, and was riding down the escalator into Funk Bar.

Melody was still caught in her deep feelings of grief, saying, "A little walk might help me think straight."

As Melody walked around, there were things she saw that just made her emotions worsen.

She saw a Magic Country Troll father that was giving his son, who was grey, a piggyback ride. Melody whimpered in fear, feeling her grief hit hard, saying, "Dad loved to give me piggyback rides," and quickly ran off to try and avoid breaking down into tears.

When Melody thought that she was safe, nearby a souvenir shop, a Magic Classical Troll father was giving his little Magic Pop Troll daughter a stuffed teddy bear, making her giggle. Melody hugged her arms, saying while shutting her eyes to avoid making tears build up, "Just like when my dad first gave me Grenda," and scurried off again.

Melody soon stopped a few yards away, looking around before saying, "Ok, I think I'm-," before she saw two Magic Techno Trolls, one light-skinned male and one blue female, as the female said to the male while holding a plain white egg in her arms, "You're gonna be a terrific father."

Melody screamed in fear, luckily not loud enough for the couple to hear, not wanting to break down into tears publicly, and ran inside a building, slamming the door shut behind her, as she took a minute to catch her breath before she saw where she was.

It turned out that she had run right into the bar.

Melody looked around, saying, "Woah, it's even more bar-like when you're in here by yourself."

She noticed an empty chair up by the front booth and then looked up at the menu, saying, "Maybe a drink will be the thing I need to rid myself of this misery. Though, what if I drink too much and get all hazy, like Trollex did"?

However, Melody felt close to crying again, feeling the strong emotions of grief hitting her hard.

It took a lot of mental strength to keep it all in, before she said, "Maybe...just one...what Val doesn't know won't hurt her, right? And maybe if I do feel dizzy, it might help me forget about my grief."

Melody took a seat at the front booth, as a male Magic Funk Troll approached her, saying, "Welcome. What can I get-," and stopped when he saw Melody, commenting, "Say, aren't you one of them Normal Trolls"?

Melody answered, "Yeah. Why? You think I'm weird too"?

Jerry replied, "No, no, I think you guys are pretty cool! It's just, well...don't you seem to be a bit...young, to be in a place like this"?

Melody sighed, saying, "Look, I've been having a really tough day, and I appreciate your concern, but can you please just bring me, I don't know, a cherry punch? Because I really need something to drown my sorrows."

Jerry seemed to understand and replied, "Sure, just give me a sec," and went to fetch her the drink. Within 15 seconds, he returned, giving her a cup of cherry punch.

Melody took the cup and looked at it, saying, "Bottoms up," and drank the entire drink in one shot.

It startled her at first with how it tasted: sweet, a bit acidic, but...really good. And it seemed to numb some of the emotional pain she was feeling from her grieving.

Melody looked at the empty cup before saying, "Another one, please."

Jerry went to get her another cup, as Melody fiddled with the empty one she had.

Then, Melody heard the door open and someone saying, "I can't believe we are stuck doing community service for the next 3 days"!

Melody grumbled, muttering, "Oh no, not now! Why now"?!

It turned out to be Scarlet and her friends, with Scarlet venting, "All because of a little "accident" that was literally no big deal"!

Ethel added, "I know, right? Totally not fair."

Zyrus added, "And Amelia confiscated my science kit! It's gonna take forever for me to buy a new one"!

Scarlet then crossed her arms, saying, "It's all Aggie's fault for being in that musical showcase undercover! No, wait, it's all that Normal Troll's fault! The one who joined in at the last minute! Melissa, I think her name was"?

Melody held in a frustrated growl, saying in response, "It's Melody, and that canary attack was your fault! You guys were the one who gave it those weird chemicals"!

Scarlet scoffed and replied, "I bet to differ. And what are you doing here, Song? Last I checked, the bar doesn't tend to weirdos."

Melody scoffed, saying, "Really? Then, I guess they don't serve you then, so that makes two of us, prick."

Scarlet chuckled, saying, "You think you're so funny, aren't you"?

Melody smirked, saying, "I am, I have a bachelor's degree to prove it."

Opal retorted, "Ha, you're too young to even be in college"!

Melody seemed undeterred, saying, "Not the one I go to: Manners and Comebacks University. You should try it, you might learn something there."

Scarlet then said, "Enough chitchat, Song. This is all your fault. If you hadn't taken part in that musical showcase, you wouldn't have crushed Nadine's chance at winning it. Look how sad she is"!

Nadine feigned being upset, saying, "How could you do this to me? Especially since I am more talented than you are"?

Melody gulped down another cup of lunch, signaling for another while she said, "Ha! A dog would have more talent than you. And more class. Plus, I only took part to make sure you guys wouldn't cheat during the contest."

Scarlet scoffed, saying, "So, what if we did end up choosing to cheat? We still can out perform you any time we want, the same way I can out rock you any day if the week."

Melody rolled her eyes, retorting, "You? Out rock me? Ha! I'll believe that when pigs fly"!

Scarlet then said, "Care to prove it? Oh wait, you're half Rock, right? That means you'd only do half the job."

Melody growled in anger, not liking how Scarlet was dissing her heritage.

Scarlet then commented, "And with that little robot leg you have, does that mean you have half a pair of working legs"?

Scarlet's friends were laughing from how funny these comebacks were, while it only made Melody angrier, and the cups of punch she was drinking, currently on her third one, was not helping.

Scarlet then snapped her fingers, saying, "Oh wait, I got a good one! What about your half of a family"?

That seemed to make Melody snap, as she calmly got up, glared at Scarlet, and asked, "What...did you just say"?

Scarlet simply replied, "I said, do you miss, your half of a family, since I overheard your conversation with Aggie and found out that you're missing a dad and only have your mom left. So, that means you have half a family."

Melody gritted her teeth and balled up her fist before swinging her arm back and punching Scarlet right in the face, on her eye.

Scarlet fell to the floor, shouting in pain, as her friends tended to her.

Melody then warned Scarlet, saying, "I can take a lot of sugar, but you NEVER talk about my family! You hear me?! And if you don't want me to knock the other eye out, then I suggest you take your giant ego out and leave"!

Scarlet stood up, glaring at Melody, while saying, "This is far from over, Song," and ran out of the bar, with her bandmates following her.

Melody could care less if anyone had seen her punch Scarlet, because when it came to the topic of family, that was a line you never want to cross with her.

After Scarlet was gone, Melody sat back down and ordered up another cup of punch.

Back at Cabatwand, Aggie had led everyone to the tree where she was with Melody earlier, saying, "We were right ov-," but then gasped when she saw Melody was gone.

"She's gone," Aggie said, looking around in concern.

"She was here before," Quincy asked.

"Yeah, and while we were here, she told me why she's been acting so strange today. We have to find her before something bad happens," Aggie stated.

"Or worse: Melly does something that gets her hurt or worse," Val added on, feeling worried for her little cousin.

Branch then said, "I think our best bet is to split up and search around Harmonious Land as best we can. Look in the places we're familiar with so far, and hope she didn't wander into unknown territory."

"And let's meet back at the condo in an hour if nothing turns up on either side," Trollzart added.

With that, everyone nodded and began to split up, searching for the missing Troll.

A half hour later, a very drunk, dizzy, and hazy Melody had downed her 31st cup of punch, and groggily asked, "A...Another...there...one."

Jerry had picked up the empty cup, saying, "Um, I think you might've had enough."

Melody banged her fist on the table, saying, "I..I. said another, man! I..I..Isn't there s-s-some rule that says...says...the customer...is always right"?

Jerry answered while pouring out another cup, "Yeah, but this is excessive, I mean, are you literally trying to drown your sorrows or drown your stomach"?

Melody accepted the cup, saying, "I...I..I'm grieving, and I'm mis...miserable, you see?! I...I just want to...to forget it all and...just not think about my misery"!

Melody gulped down the cup while saying, "Did...d-d-did I ever tell you...how much...I love pie"?

Jerry scratched his head, saying, "Ok, you are definitely the most drunk Troll I have ever seen in my life, and I have seen a few who come a close second. Are you ok"?

Melody hazily smiled, saying, "I..I am...great! Like...air! And...uh...uh...um, are your walls supposed to twirl"?

Jerry looked at the walls of the bar while saying, "Um, no, why"?

Melody stood up from her seat and said, "They're all...twirling, spinning like...mini ballerinas...and clouds...and...and..."

Suddenly, she didn't seem to feel well as she groaned in pain while holding her head, saying, "Why is everything spinning so fast? And is the ceiling always black"?

Suddenly, Melody just let out a faint squeak and fell over, collapsing.

Jerry rushed to her side, saying, "Oh my god, ma'am! Ma'am! Are you ok"?!

He quickly felt for her pulse before pointing to a male Magic Rock Troll, shouting, "Dial for help! Call an ambulance"!

The Magic Rock Troll started to pull out his cellphone and quickly dialed the emergency number while Jerry kept trying to wake up Melody, saying, "Stay with me, ok, you're gonna be alright"!

Soon, the ambulance arrived as two Magic Classical Trolls, who were ambulance EMTs, flew into the bar, holding a stretcher, and brought Melody onto the stretcher, with one of the workers placing an oxygen mask over her mouth and nose so she could still breathe.

After strapping her in safely, the workers brought her onto the ambulance, while the crowd of Magic Musical Trolls nearby watched this in concern as the ambulance soon drove off towards the hospital.

Inside, Melody was coming in and out of it, whimpering in pain, as the male Magic Classical Troll worker reassured her, saying, "It's all gonna be ok, we're gonna make sure you get better."

A little while later, the ambulance stopped by the front of the Smile-o Smile-o Mission Hospital, as the workers brought Melody inside, shouting, "Out of the way, everyone! It's an emergency"!

The doctors saw who the EMTs were bringing in, as a Magic Techno Troll hovered towards them, saying while they ran to the nearest hospital room, "What do we got"?

The male Magic Classical EMT replied, "One of those Normal Trolls: we think she might've had too many drinks at the bar in Funk Bar. The waiter said he had about like 32 cups, and then she fell over and passed out."

The doctor grimaced, saying, "This is not good. This kind of thing is dangerous enough for Magic Musical Trolls, it might be worse for the Normal Trolls! We have to act fast to save her"!

Once Melody's unconscious body was brought into a hospital room, as the doctor immediately laid her on the hospital bed and, while the EMTs took off her leather jacket and rolled up Melody's sleeves, started to connect her to an IV system, giving her some anti-saline/anti-biotic solution, before one of the EMTs gave the doctor a syringe full of sugar detoxication medicine.

The doctor administered it into Melody's arm, saying, "Now, all we have to do is wait and see if it'll work, and pray that we were able to give it to her in time."

The doctor and the EMTs looked at Melody, who remained unconscious while they hoped that the medicine they gave her was gonna help.

Everyone was looking around Harmonious Land, trying to find some clue of where Melody could be.

"Melody," shouted Poppy, who was looking around Trollnila with Branch and the Snack Pack, who added, "Where are you"?!

"Mel! Ya here," shouted Gust, who was galloping by the school, with Delta and Holly helping him look.

Buckaroo was looking for footprints through her magnifying glass on the sidewalk while Dante flew above her, shouting, "Ms. Song," and Minuet added, "Come out wherever you are"!

"Mel, give us a sign," shouted Trollex, who was looking by Magickina with the other Techno Trolls helping him.

"Melly, where are you," declared Val, as she and the Rock Trolls were looking through Chairmaasen.

"Mel! Please show us where you are," shouted Aggie, who was searching through the air.

Val was feeling more worried by the minute, commenting to herself, "Oh, where could she be"?

Meanwhile, back at the hospital, a few hours later, Melody soon woke up, groaning in tiredness, and when she tried to sit up, she felt a surge of pain, making her lay back down and ask, "W-What happened"?

When her vision returned, Melody noticed that she was in an entirely new place, and it was one she seemed to identify: a hospital room. She saw she was laying in a hospital bed, and upon seeing her clothes folded on a chair next to her, she looked under the covers and saw she was wearing a patient's nightgown scrubs.

Melody noticed a wire and saw an IV attached to her arm, and gasped, saying, "W-What am I doing here"?

Suddenly, a door opened as a female Magic Techno doctor walked in, saying, "Hi there; glad to see you're finally awake. You were out cold for a very long time."

Melody held her head, saying, "What happened to me? What am I doing here"?

The doctor explained, "Well, you were brought in after passing out at Funk Bar upon consuming 32 cups of cherry punch, resulting in a sugar overdose."

"Sugar...overdose," Melody asked, feeling worried.

"Yeah, and if we hadn't acted quickly, it would've been really fatal."

"Fatal?! s in...I'm gonna die," Melody asked all panicked-like.

"Hey, hey, hey, it's ok. We gave you some special medicine that was able to lower the amount of sugar in your bloodstream, so we were able to save you. you just need to rest here overnight, but you should be able to go back home tomorrow. Though, I got to say, why did you drink so much anyway"?

Melody looked away sadly, saying, "I thought...it would help relieve me of my pain."

The doctor looked at Melody in concern as she wrote something on a clipboard before saying, "Here's what I'm gonna do. It sounds like you definitely have a lot on your mind, so, I'm gonna have our hospital psychiatrist come in to talk to you. Perhaps a one on one session with Dr. Barker will help you be able to mentally heal while you physically heal," before she went to go give the results of Melody's recovery to the doctor she worked for.

Alone in her hospital room again, Melody laid there, looking up at the ceiling, as the memories of everything before she passed out replayed in her head, and now, unable to just hold it in anymore, Melody broke down into a hard sob, crying uncontrollably.

At the condo, later on, Aggie and the Normal Trolls have gathered back there, with no results of their search.

We've looked everywhere and we still couldn't find her," Val shouted, hugging her knees as she felt close to crying. She sniffled, saying, "Where's my little cousin"?

"We can't give up! Surely, she's got to be somewhere," Minuet commented.

Poppy saw how worried Val looked and sat next to the Rock ambassador, trying to reassure her, saying, "I'm sure we'll find Melody, Val."

Val then allowed her tears to fall, showing everyone her rare vulnerable side, as she said, "It's not even just about finding her anymore. It's because...I should've been there for her today. She's been so upset today, and I should've been there for her more to help her."

"Help hurr? Through what," Holly asked.

Val looked at everyone before she sighed, saying, "Today's the anniversary date that Melly's dad, my uncle, passed away in that stage accident that claimed his life."

Everyone gasped in shock and disbelief upon hearing the news.

"It's that day, today," Trollex asked.

Aggie then spoke up, saying, "Yeah, and Melody's really sad about it. She misses her dad so much, and acted so strange because she was trying to distract herself from grieving."

"That explains everything," Sid commented.

"And it does explain why Melody's behavior was different from normal," Laguna stated.

Suddenly, Aggie felt a vision coming through as her mind played what the vision was about. In her mind, she saw Melody crying in the hospital bed, hugging her knees, saying over and over again, "I'm so sorry"!

When the vision ended, Aggie's face went from a look of shock to a look of horror, shouting, "Melody's at the hospital"!

"The hospital," everyone shouted.

Val was now extra worried, saying, "Melly must've gotten hurt or worse! We have to go there now! Aggie, where's the nearest hospital"?!

McJagger then chimed in, saying, "Way ahead of you, Val. As a EMT, I'm always researching the hospitals in every place we go, and the nearest hospital here is the Smile-o Smile-o Mission Hospital."

"Come on, then! The sooner we get there, the sooner we can see if Melly's ok," Val shouted and nearly ran out of the condo before anyone could even process the Rock ambassador's behavior. Then, they saw Val walk back inside, asking, "Question: which way is that"?

Back at the hospital, Melody soon saw the door open as a male Magic Classical Troll walked into her room.

Melody felt a bit nervous and held the covers up to her chest.

However, the psychiatrist was really nice, saying, "Greetings. At ease, miss; I just want to help you out. My name is Dr. Barker."

Melody gave a shy wave, saying, "Hi, Dr. Barker."

He sat down on a stool he brought and asked while pulling out a clipboard, "So, tell me what's on your mind right now? How are you feeling"?

Melody answered, "I feel completely drained of any strength and energy, my head is like a throbbing mosh pit, and on top of it all...I feel lousy, both physically...and mentally."

"What would you say may be the root of this," Dr. Barker asked.

"Of what? My feelings or why I feel like a dirtbag," Melody asked snarkily.

"In terms of why you are feeling like this? Or why you chose to drink as a solution for your mental pain," Dr. Barker clarified.

Melody thought about it, replying with, "I don't know how to qord it exactly, but I guess I can simplify it to just...i thought it could help remove the pain of grieving."

"Ah, so, you kiss someone dearly who's departed," Dr. Barker asked.

"Yeah...my dad. I...miss him terribly and...even now, I just can't stop...missing him," Melody answered, feeling her sad feelings return, before adding, "But what's worse is that, I feel so...alone when I grieve like this."

"Oh? What makes you think that," Dr. Barker asked.

"Cause...I try to be alone when this day comes because...if I grieve in front of other people, except for my older cousin, I fear I'll get showered with so much sympathy and...i get scared...it's all gonna be too much to handle."

Dr. Barker then asked, "Can you expand on that"?

"I don't know if I can really word it out like that," Melody answered.

Dr. Barker then suggested, "Well then, if you can't say it...maybe...sing it then"?

Melody looked over to the small stand that was beside her IV, and saw that a radio was currently on, and feeling the motivation of the music playing, Melody decided to try and sing, thinking...singing about her emotions, could help word it better.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~See You Again by Charlie Puth ft Wiz Khalifa~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Melody: It's been a long day without you, dad, and I can't help but keep askin' when I'll see you again. I've come a long way from when things began, but I just can't stop wishing for when I'll see you again. When I'll see you again
It hurts, who knew? How long I'd be missing ya since I was two. I struggle wakin' each day without seein' you, and feelin' all alone, fighting this mental battle on my own.
I feel like I'm standing on my leg, no matter how hard I beg, or tweak my prosthetic peg. I count the days, but the sadness stays, and I wish this grieving pain could just go away, hey.
How can I not talk about family when family's on my mind? Everything I went through, without him by my side. And wishin' dad was here to watch the last ride.
It's been a long day without you, dad, and I can't help but keep askin' when I'll see you again. I've come a long way from when things began, but I just can't stop wishing for when I'll see you again. When I'll see you again
Oh, oh, oh! Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh! Ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh-ho-ooh, ho-ooh, ho-ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh, ho-ooh, ho-ooh!
First, the bad things, you deny, as the anger starts to fly. Try to bargain for the good, when the sadness 'ffects the mood. But when the time comes to accept, I do everything 'cept that.
Sadness lingers in thy soul, and it takes a heavy toll. Hard to let go of the past, and the feeling stays and lasts. Looms with a gloomy tone, and it makes me feel alone.
How can I not talk about family when family's on my mind? Everything I went through, without him by my side. And wishin' dad was here to watch the last ride.
Suddenly, moved by the song she was singing, Melody felt the urge to stand up.
Dr. Barker was worried, saying, "Ms. Song, you're still ill! I don't think standing up right now is a good idea"!
Melody, however, didn't seem to hear, because she just couldn't hold it in any longer. she had to express all of her emotions, just how she was feeling from the deepest souls of her heart. She had to show not only the psychiatrist how she felt...but her friends...wherever they were...how she felt.
Melody: I feel all alone on this day, and when my dad's memories play, my tears flow. No matter where I am, I keep wishing he was home, home.
It's been a long day without you, dad, and I can't help but keep askin' when I'll see you again. I've come a long way from when things began, but I just can't stop wishing for when I'll see you again. When I'll see you again
Then, Melody let out a whole new note, unlike anything she had ever sung before, as all the MMTs in, and out, of the hospital heard her sing.
While singing this note, Melody herself found herself stunned, because this was an entirely new note she was singing. It was bold, it was strong, it was emotional, but most importantly, it felt so...powerful, when she was singing it.
Outside the hospital, Aggie and all of the Normal Trolls were running to the entrance of the hospital when they heard someone singing.
"Hey, that's Melody's voice," Demo recognized.
"That's her singing," Sid asked.
"She is inside! Come on," Aggie commented as they went through the doors of the hospital.
Melody: Oh, oh, oh! Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, (Yeah, uh!)! oh, oh! Ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh-ho-ooh, ho-ooh, ho-ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh, ho-ooh, ho-ooh (When I see you again!)
See you (Oh, oh, oh! Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh! Ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh-ho-ooh, ho-ooh, ho-ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh, ho-ooh, ho-ooh!) again! Yeah, yeah, yeah!
When I see you again!
After Melody had concluded singing, she flopped backward and was lying on the bed, feeling dizzy and really, really tired. But, she could care less, because now, all she was really feeling was...regret, utter regret, for not only trying to avoid telling her friends about today but making a stupid choice that nearly had her killed. She didn't even know if she could face her friends after this or even her own older cousin.
Dr. Barker had been taking notes during the entire song duration before he soon finished, saying, "Well, after that little "performance" you gave, I think I finally have it all figured out."
"Figured out what? Why I look sick," Melody asked snarkily.
"Well, you aren't sick. I mean, physically, the doctor has said you are in recovery after the sugar overload, but other than that, you aren't "sick" per see; you're hurting. From what you sang, it sounds like you're dealing with a lot of grief, right," Dr. Barker asked.
Melody nodded, saying, "Yeah, I am. See...my dad assed away today, 14 years ago, and even now...his death still hurts me and...I just miss him so much. Growing up without a dad in your life...it just hurts you in that special place, you know? And that's something that's always hard to get over. I can't easily accept it like other Trolls do."
Dr. Barker wrote this down before asking, "So, if you are feeling like this, why haven't you confided your friends about this"?
Melody hugged the blanket, saying, "I...I'm scared...the sympathy will just be too much."
"Sympathy," Dr. Barker asked.
Melody replied, "My friends are really nice and caring Trolls who love to help others in need, and...I was scared, if I told them about today...they'd shower me with so many hugs and shoulders to cry on and sympathy flowers and stuff and all that stuff that...it'd just be too much for me and...I'd just...lose it. They're really good friends, but, sometimes, I find it hard to think some of them truly understand some of the things I've gone through, including this, and well...I guess I was worried...how they would react or even take the news."
Dr. Barker wrote this down while listening to Melody, who added, "It's not that I don't want to tell them, but...it's just...hard to know how to tell them."
Dr. Barker then spoke up, saying, "I understand that you feel worried or fear about telling your friends about this, especially considering this is something very personal to you, but, you shouldn't have to feel like you need to keep this to yourself. Grief is a powerful emotion that can play with your mind, and when exposed to deep negative emotions, it can result in one feeling deep depression, even if they do not feel depressed."
"Depressed? But...I've never felt...any signs of depression," Melody replied.
"Have you ever felt a deep sense of sadness? Even when you didn't have any feelings of sadness? Have you had any personal triggers that cause you to react poorly or harshly due to its deeply-embedded traits that link to your deepest memories," Dr. Barker asked.
Melody gave it some thought before she gasped, admitting, "I guess...the grief I've felt with missing my father...has left me a bit...depressed."
Dr. Barker smiled, nodding while saying, "I think we finally reached the point we needed to find. See, because you've let this deep feeling of grief cloud your mind for years, it's left you feeling depressed, even if you haven't realized it. and it's because of this that perhaps you've felt reclusive in telling your closest companions about the things that hurt or upset you like this. If you want to start healing, truly healing, from this, you have to learn to open up to those you trust. Whether they react the way you fear or not, you trust the Trolls who care about you because you care about them as well. Don't be scared to voice if you're unwell. It's ok to say, "I'm not k. I'm not happy." Because your friends will be there to help you through it."
Melody took the advice Dr. Barker gave her to thought, thinking about it.
Dr. Barker then got up, saying, "I'll let you process everything and take some time to rest. The doctors are here if you need anything," before he took his leave, leaving Melody lying in her room to rest.
Looking up at the ceiling, Melody muttered to herself, "Open up...to those I trust. But...would my friends even want to listen to what I have to say now? After everything"?
"Of course we would, Mel," a voice chimed in.
Melody gasped and looked over at the door, where she saw Aggie and all the Normal Trolls waiting by the door, coming in one by one.
"Oh, Melly," Val shouted as she ran to the end and hugged her cousin tightly.
Melody curled up in her cousin's hug, hugging her knees and crying softly, saying repeatedly, "I'm so sorry"!
Aggie bit her lip, knowing this was what played in her vision, as she waited for Val to finish trying to comfort her cousin, before she flew over and gave her best friend a huge hug, saying, "We were so worried"!
One by one, every Normal Troll gave the crying Pop/Rock Troll a hug, with Branch saying, "What happened to you"?
"Did you get hurt badly," Dante asked in concern?
"Did someone do this," Val asked, hoping no one was responsible for this.
"Yeah, someone did hurt me...I did," Melody choked back sadly, adding, "I...went to Funk Bar and...drank myself into a stooper and...had a sugar overdose."
"A sugar overdose," the Snack Pack said in unison, very worried.
"At least now you know why I warned you about having too many of these drinks," Aggie commented before asking, "But why did you drink so much"?
Melody sniffled, saying, "I thought...it'd be a way to relieve my emotional pain."
"Ayn' y'all thought drinkin' would stop it," Delta asked, patting Melody on the back.
The Pop/Rock Troll hung her head low sadly and nodded, adding, "I couldn't think straight. I just felt too scared to tell you guys what was really wrong because...I felt too scared to break if I got too much sympathy."
While Val tried to reassure her cousin, Essence spoke up, asking, "You were worried we were gonna give you too much sympathy"?
Melody nodded before she saw Branch approach her, saying, "Mel, if there's one thing I've learned, its that you should never have to feel like you can't tell anyone about what's bothering you. Don't recluse yourself with your emotions."
Melody sniffled before saying with snark, "Why would you say that? Didn't you do the same after your grandma die," before she whimpered, saying, "Sorry, I know that was too personal."
Branch, luckily, didn't take offense to it, saying, "No, no, it's ok. I know what you're referring to, and that's why I'm telling you this. I don't want you to make the same mistake I did."
"Mel, we're your friends, we care about you so much. I know handling grief is a hard thing to do, but you never have to do it alone," Poppy reassured her.
"Yeah, we've all have handled grief, ayn' yeah, it ain't ayy naace feelin' but we know that it's bettuurr ta cope with when we're with friends who care faw us," Gust added on.
"Yeah, yo. We ain't just friends, we're like a family," Synth commented.
"And family sticks with one another, through good times and bad," McJagger replied.
Melody sniffled, showing a small smile, before Barb said, "It's not gonna be easy, but we are here for you, to help you heal, and help you grieve the right way. You'll never have to face this alone ever again."
Melody felt her friends gather around her with a group hug, as Melody smiled, and said while closing her eyes, "With my friends...I'm never alone."
The next day, after Melody was discharged from the hospital and was allowed to go home, Val, Barb, Demo, and Riff came to pick her up and bring her home back to the condo.
"How ya feeling, Mel," Barb asked.
"Definitely a lot better, Barb. I'm just relieved I'm able to return home with you guys again. I'm still really sorry about...you know...," Melody replied, looking down in shame.
"Hey, Melly, it's ok. What matters most is that you're ok now, and that you're safe and back with us. That's all we could ever ask for," Val reassured her cousin, giving her a side-hug with one arm, making the Pop/Rock Troll smile.
Once they reached the condo, Melody was greeted to the sight of seeing everyone out in the front to greet her and welcome her back, with the Classical Trolls holding up a banner the Pop Trolls made, saying, "Welcome home, Melody," on it.
"Welcome back, Mel," Aggie greeted her best friend with a big hug, before everyone gathered around and enveloped the Pop/Rock Troll in a big group hug.
"Oh, Mel, we've missed ya so much," Holly commented.
"We were so worried, yo," Synth added.
"We're so glad you're all better," Smidge mentioned.
Melody smiled, saying, "Thanks, guys. I'm so happy to be here with you guys again; what happened really gave me a huge scare. And after everything that's happened, I now realize that I never have to worry about feeling like I'm ever alone, even in grief. Because I have you guys by my side to help me through the sad times. Because you're all not just my friends, you're like family to me."
"And like family, we've got your back," Val added, patting Melody on the back.
"Yeah, we're always gonna be here for you through every step of life," Poppy added on.
"And if you ever feel like we don't understand, a lot of the time, we do, because sometimes, we've gone through the same thing ourselves, and we can relate to the same feelings you're feeling. So, you can always talk to us if you ever feel like there's no one you can talk to," Essence mentioned.
Melody smiled, saying, "Thank you, guys. That means so much to me."
Aggie then said, "There's one other thing we've all prepared for you too, in honor of your return. Dante"?
Dante flew over to the Pop/Rock Troll, holding a bunch of flowers in his hand that was tied up into a lovely bunch with a red ribbon. He gave it to Melody, who looked at the flowers in stunned surprise.
"You did say that you loved to give flowers to your mom when you honor the day your father passed away, so, we all chipped in and made this lovely flower bunch for you," Dante explained.
"Some of the flowers, I grew myself to practice my fauna power," Aggie stated.
"And the rest, we all hand-picked ourselves," Rhythm added.
"I picked that marigold one," Val pointed to one of the flowers in the bunch, saying, "Since I know you share the same love for marigolds Uncle Bill did."
Melody could feel her tears re-emerging again, but this time, they were tears of happiness, as she said, "Guys..."
Then, everyone gathered around her and Val in a big circle and bowed their heads in memorial of Melody's father, and while the Trolls with hats took their hats off in respect, everyone else held their hands close together.
"Glitter to glitter, hugs to hugs. We all, together, give tribute to a Troll who, while many may not know as well, but are grateful to have brought a unique Troll into this world who we are lucky to call our friend," Branch announced.
Melody held the flower bunch in her hands and looked at Val, who nodded, feeling her own tears start to develop as she let them fall.
Emitting one last tear in grief, Melody tied the balloon to the flower bunch and tossed it up, with everyone watching as the balloon carried the flower bunch up to the ceiling of Harmonious Land, floating far, far away.
"Do you think it'll make it," Cooper asked.
"Probably not, but it was a really nice gesture though," Melody replied with a smile.
Everyone gathered close together to watch the flower bunch float away, with perhaps the slight chance that maybe it will be able to reach its location.
Back up in the Troll Kingdom, Evie was taking a nap in her crib while Mal was prepping a bottle of milk, looking above at the daytime sky, holding a bunch of flowers in her hand, and smiling.
