Chapter 13 Back to the Dance Studio
Jake's POV
it was Monday and Izzy Cubby and I were heading to the dance studio this morning.
"Okay, so Cubby remember what I said about Stormy." I said to him.
"Yes, do not Visit her." Cubby said to me.
"Good boy, see you later!" Izzy said to him as we both went into our dance Studios.
So as Izzy and I went inside dance studio A, Lisa came running to hug us.
"Hi, Lisa, did you miss me?" Izzy asked her.
"Yes!" Lisa said to her.
"Wow, hey guys, no handcuffs?" Austin said us.
"Nope." I said to him.
"That's great, now, you guys can do your dance separately." Luke said to us.
" Oh, no we are still going to dance together Luke." I said to him.
"Sorry, I didn't mean to say that." Luke said to me.
"That's okay Luke you were just wondering." Izzy said to him.
"Um yeah." Luke said while blushing.
"Oh brother." I said while filling my eyes.
"Anyway, ready to start to dance?" In Asked them.
"Yeah!" Everyone said, except Izzy.
"Izzy, is everything okay?" I asked her.
"Huh, yeah everything's fine I'm just going to sit down, I don't feel like dancing right now." Izzy said to me as I know what was going on.
Anyway, for the rest of us we started to dance.
Izzy's POV
As I saw everyone, dancing, I started to take a nap on the bench.
Jake's POV
As the gang and I were dancing, i went to Izzy, she wasn't breathing.
So I walked up to the radio, and turned it off.
"Hey, Jake, why did you turn the radio off?" Austin asked me as I was shaking.
" Jake, what's wrong?" Lisa asked me as I started to cry.
"Izzy's...not... breathing." I said to all of them.
"What!" They all said in shocked.
"Okay, nobody panic, especially you Jake okay." Austin said to me.
"I...am...trying." I said to him.
"After 15 seconds were up, Izzy started to breath again as we all sigh."
"Oh thank God, I said to myself.
"Uh, why are you guys, staring at me?" Izzy asked us.
" Izzy, you stopped breathing, I thought you were going to die." I said to her crying.
"Aww, Jake, I'm not going anywhere." Izzy said to me.
"Aww!" Everyone said in aww.
"Izzy, are you scared about your surgery next week?" Lisa asked her.
"A little bit, but I'll get over it hopefully." Izzy said to her.
Even though, Izzy was scared about her surgery, I really hope her surgery goes well.
"Wait hold up, your getting surgery done?" Everyone, but Lisa, asked in shocked.
Even though, Izzy already, told Lisa, I guess Lisa didn't tell them.
"Well, I guess you guys are shocked, about Izzy having surgery done.
"Yeah, I am having surgery done next week to get my tonsils and adenoids taking out." Izzy said to them.
"What?" Once again, everyone but Lisa, asked shocked.
" Well, we hope your surgery goes well Izzy." Luke said to her.
" Thank you, but I'm still scared and nervous. What if it doesn't go well, what if I die during the surgery?" Izzy asked all of us while panicking.
" Izzy oh, you're not going to die I promise you that, and to be honest, you're too pretty to die. So please don't say that I word die in front of me, because I'm also scared that we might lose you, that I might lose you." I said to her as a tear came down my cheeks does everyone came in for a hug to calm both of us down.
"Thanks guys we really needed, that hug." Both Izzy and I said to them.
As the boys, Lisa oh, and I were about to continue our dancing, Cubby came running in.
"Jake, Izzy, I'm having a big problem!" Cubby said to us.
"What's your, big problem? I'm busy at the moment." I asked him.
"My big big big big big problem, is that I really really want to see Stormy!" Cubby sent to us as we rolled our eyes
" Why do you want to see her so badly are you about to propose to her or something?" I asked as I him as laughed a little bit.
"What no I'm not going to propose to her until I'm a little bit older to do that." Cubby said to me.
" Look at the reason why I want to see her, is because I miss her." Cubby said to us.
"Aww!" Everyone said except me.
As I sighed, I start to think about this for a little bit, until I spoke.
"Okay, okay, okay, stop your crying, you can go see her God. Now can you please leave our group? Before I change my mind." I asked him.
"Oh sorry yeah I'll be going now, thank you Jake." Cubby said to me as he left.
"Now, that he's gone, we can continue our dance." I said to them as I started the music again.
"Actually, Jake, I was thinking that we should go eat lunch I the cafeteria?" Izzy asked me.
" I, sure why not." I said to her as I hesitated to say anything else.
So we all went to the cafeteria, and I have an early lunch for some reason.
"Izzy, why do you want to eat an early lunch all of a sudden?" Austin asked her.
" I just want to know they have Jell-O." Izzy said to him as she looked into the fridge and by her surprised, she found Jell-O.
"Oh sweet what luck, I found Jell-O!" Izzy said as she took a seat in the chair and ate the Jell-O.
"Jake, remind me again why she's eating Jell-O." Luke asked me.
" Apparently it's the only place she can eat right now until next week because by next week, he won't be able to eat anything due to her surgery happening.
"Oh that's kind of freaky but, okay." Luke said a bit disturbed.
"Tell me about it I am freaked out more than you are." Austin said to him.
"Hey I'm not freaked out, she's my girlfriend!" I said to them.
" How old are you guys?" Lukr asked me as he was curious.
" Who are 11 years old why?" I asked him.
" You think it's weird that you two are dating as 11 year olds?" Luke asked me.
" No I don't think so besides we've been dating since as long as I can remember." I said to them.
"Wow, hey, if the two of you ever get married in the future you mind if I be your best man?" Luke asked me.
"Sorry Luke, but I already have Cubby as my future best man." I said to him.
"I'm sorry I meant to say we're 11 years old." I corrected them.
" Oh so you guys are 11 that makes sense." Austin said to me as I just ignore him and went to Izzy.
"How's the Jell-O?" I asked her.
"It's good, thanks Jake!" Izzy said to me as she was still eating the Jell-O.
As everyone walked towards me and Izzy, they were suspicious.
"Can we help you guys?" I asked them in a weird way.
"It's just, that you two are so cute together." Luke said to us as Izzy and I blushed at Luke's comment.
"Aww, thanks Luke and I think you and Jessie make a good couple." I said to him as a teased.
"Yeah I had a big crush on her, but I'm over that." Luke said to us.
"Anyway, since you're all hovering around us, how about you guys get something to eat, and we can all chat." I suggested to them as they went straight into the buffet.
"As everyone including Lisa came back with their food, they all sat down together as Izzy and I literally just sat next to each other like we always do.
"So, Izzy, are you nervous about your surgery next week?" Austin asked her while taking a bit out of his Mac and cheese.
"Yes Austin I'm very very very scared, and nervous at the same time." Izzy said to him.
"Don't worry you're going to be okay!" Luke said to her.
"Yeah we'll be praying for you." Lisa said to her.
"And we will make sure that when you come back, you'll be able to dance again with us." Lisa said to her.
"Thanks guys, I really appreciate the motivation you guys are giving me today." Izzy said to them.
"Well, that's what best friends do, they help other best friends out." Lisa and I said at the same time as we all laughed.
"but still, I can't believe that next week I'm getting my tonsils out including my adenoids." Izzy said to all of us.
" Yeah I can't believe it either and I'm scared too." I said to her.
" Yeah Jake, we all know why you're scared. You're scared, tell me loss me." Izzy said to me.
" but like I told you before, I am not going anywhere I'm going to be okay like you said.
"That's my brave Izzy." I said to her giving her a kiss on the cheek.
"Jake, will you and Cubby, be there for me?" Izzy asked me.
" Of course we will. Izzy, you are my lightning rod, my princess, my honorary mermaid, basically you're my everything but you're also going to be my future wife. I will never let anything happen to you." I said to her which brought tears in her eyes.
" Oh, Jake, that is the most beautiful thing you ever said to me thank you!" Izzy said to me.
" And do you promise me that you won't eat anything next week?" I asked her seriously.
"Yes Jake I promise!" Izzy said to me as we shared a hug, and a kiss.
Izzy's POV
After what Jake said to me, I still felt worried about my surgery next week. But all in all, I know that my two best friends are going to be there for me they care about me I know they do."
"Wait a second Jake, I can eat but not the night before the surgery remember?" I asked him.
" Oh yeah I forgot, sorry." Jake said to me as he giggled a little bit.
"It's okay!" I said to him.
"So is everyone done eating, so we can go back to our regular routine?" I asked them.
" Yeah, let's go!" Austin said as we all got up, and through our plates in the garbage we went back to the studio a to continue our dance routine.
"Actually Jake do you mind if we go home? Because I'm too tired, and my tonsils are starting to hurt again." I asked him.
" Sure I'll take you home." Jake said to me as we waved goodbye to the gang, and left.Once we got home, I went straight to my bed and went to take a nap on my bed.
"Sweet dreams Izzy!" Jake said to me as he placed a kiss on my forehead and left in the room.
Cubby's POV
As I got home I was wondering why Jake and Izzy, came home so early. so I went over to Jake who was watching TV in the living room and asked him.
"Jake is Izzy, okay?" I asked him.
"No she still worried about her surgery, and earlier she stopped breathing again." Jake said to me.
"Oh my God again?" I asked him.
" Yes again, this is the fourth time it happen Cubby! I'm really really worried about her now." Jake said to me.
" I know you are, I'm aware we too." I said to him as I sat down on the couch next to him.
"Cubby, what am I going to do? What if she dies?" Jake asked me.
" Jake, she's going to be fine okay she did have trouble breathing four times already, but that doesn't matter what matters is that we are going to support her during her surgery next week." I said to him.
"When did you become so mature?" Jake asked me curiosity.
" I have two wonderful teachers." I said to him asking you that I was talking about himself and Izzy.
I went into our room, I immediately turned on the baby monitor, and brought it with me to the living room. That way, we can listen to her sleeping.
"Smart idea, I totally forgot about the baby monitor." Jake said to me as he chuckled a little bit.
" Hey, you're not the only one that forgot. I actually remember right away." I said to him.
"By the way, what are you watching on TV?" I asked him.
"Just some CSI show." Jake said to me.
"Cool!" I said to him.
As we want listening carefully to the baby monitor, Izzy was sound asleep.
"You know Cubby, Izzy is so cute when she's sleeping." Jake said to me.
" Who do you thinks cuter, Izzy or Stormy?" I asked him.
" I can't choose all three of you are cute." Jake said to me ax we laughed
" But, if I did choose, it would have to be Izzy."
"Aww, you think I'm cute Jake?" I asked him.
"Cubby you were cute then when you are baby, and you're still cute now do I have to say anything else?" Jake asked me.
"Point taken!" I said to him.
"Hey, but I won't be cute when I turn into a teenager!" I said to him.
"Cubby that doesn't matter, you're still going to be cute, and you're still going to be our little brother." Jake said to me.
As the hallways of our Hideout was silent, we didn't hear nothing. We went closer to the baby monitor and we didn't hear Izzy snoring.
"Jake, I think Izzy stopped breathing again." I sent to him as he immediately got up from the couch ran into our bedroom took out the mask and monitor out from under his bed placed it on Izzy and immediately turn the monitor on.
As I went into our bedroom as well, I saw that the mask was on Izzy and the monitor was on that should help her breathe.
"There, I got should help her breathe.
"Jake, I hope Izzy, starts breathing." I said to him.
"I hope so too." Jake said to me.
After 15 seconds, was up, Izzy started to breath again, witch Jake immediately took off her mask and immediately turn the monitor off and placed it back in the bag and put it right back under his bed.
"Phew, that was close, if she woke up to that, she would kill us." Jake said to me.
"Actually, she would have killed the doctor because to be honest, the doctor gave us the baby monitor and that machine in the first place." I said to him.
"Oh yeah!" Jake said to me.
"Anyway, what do you want to do now Cubby?" Jake asked me.
"Maybe make dinner!" I suggested.
" Good idea, how about you make the dinner this time I'll stay with Izzy."
"Okay, I'll go make the dinner." I said to him as I went to the kitchen to cook dinner.
Jake's POV
As Cubby was making dinner, I was sitting on Izzy's bed stroking her hair.
As she woke up, I smiled.
"Hey Izzy! How was your nap?" I asked her.
"It was all right, but I'm still tired." Izzy said to me.
"Where's Cubby?" Izzy asked me.
"He's cooking dinner." I said to her.
"Cool!" Izzy said to me.
"Anyway, what's for dinner?" Izzy asked me.
"I rest don't know." I said to her.
" Maybe its a surprise." Izzy said to me as tries to guess.
"Maybe, but we won't know." I said to her.
As we were waiting for dinner to be called, Izzy and I were in the living room watching TV.
"Okay I do want to say something, despite every episode of SpongeBob has been making it has beneficial that he is now actually maybe 20 years old in SpongeBob years years." I said to myself.
" Well I don't think SpongeBob's 20 years old Jake, okay maybe I think you're right but on the other hand, I don't think he is." Izzy said to me.
" Oh come on Izzy, the first episode aired in 1999 we weren't even born yet but still, and how do I know that I read it on Wikipedia." I said to her.
"Cool!" Izzy said to me.
"Jake, Izzy dinner's ready!" Cubby called for us as we went into the kitchen.
"What's for dinner tonight Cubby?" I asked him.
"Spaghetti and meatballs anymore questions?" Cubby asked me.
"Nope!" I said to him as I ate my food.
"Cubby, you know you know Izzy can't eat this right." I said to him.
"Oh yeah you're right my bad I forgot." Cubby said to me as he took the food away from Izzy.
"Hey, give me back my food Cubby." Izzy said to him.
" Izzy, you know you can't eat that so don't start throwing a tantrum." I said to her.
" Yeah right Jake sorry." Izzy said while apologizing.
"That's okay!" I said to her as Cubby brought in Jell-O for Izzy.
" Here you go, Izzy!" Cubby said placing the bowl next to her.
"Thanks!" Izzy said to him while eating her Jell-O.
"Hey, Izzy, I'm going to give you some tomato sauce with a little of mash." Cubby said to her.
"Thanks, Cubby!" Izzy said to her little brother.
As we're were done eating dinner, we went to the living room to watch some TV.
"So, what do you guys want to watch?" I asked them.
"Barney and Friends Barney and Friends Barney and Friends Barney and Friends Barney and Friends Barney and Friends!" Cubby said while chanting.
" Yeah, we're not watching that show." I said to him as Cubby was disappointed.
"Oh sweet Raven's Home is on!" I said to myself, as we all watched the show except cubby because I know he wants to watch Barney and Friends hahaha who wants to watch a purple dinosaur hanging out with little kids? I sure don't." I said to myself.
"And I bet Izzy, doesn't want to watch it either." I said to myself.
"Yeah Jake, I do not want to watch a purple dinosaur." Izzy said to me.
"How did she hear me? Oh, yeah, she has super hearing powers." I said to myself.
"Izzy, are you still scared about you surgery next week?* I asked her.
"Yeah, I am really nervous about it." Izzy said to us.
" Don't worry, Izzy we will be with you." Cubby said to her.
"But what if I wake up the recovery room, and you guys aren't there?" Izzy asked us as she started to cry.
"Is that what your scared of? That we won't be there for you? Izzy we will definitely be there waiting for you to wake up in the recovery room." U said to her.
"But what if you're not?" Izzy asked me.
"then if I'm not there I might be in the bathroom, or getting something to eat. But Cubby will be with you, if I'm not there." I said to her.
"Don't worry about your surgery too much, Izzy. " I said to her.
I'll try not to worry that much Jake, but it's going to be hard for me." Izzy said to me.
" I know, I know." I said to her as Cubby and embraced her with a hug to calm her down.
"Okay, guys, I think we should head to bed." I said tovthem as we all went to our bedroom.
As we went to bed, Izzy climbed on by bed.
"You want to sleep with me don't you?" I asked her.
" Yes, please." Izzy said to me as I moved to the right to Izzy can have room.
"Jake, thank you for helping me out today, I really appreciate it!" Izzy said to me as she gave me a kiss on the cheek.
It was no trouble at all Izzy, yeah my girlfriend I'm trying to protect you." I said to her.
"Aww, Jake, but you do realize you don't have to protect me all the time." Izzy said to me.
" I know, I know but like I said 2 minutes ago, you got my girlfriend and I don't want to lose you." I said to her.
"Thanks Jake I love you." Izzy said to me.
I love you too Izzy sweet dreams." I said to her.
"You too Jake." Izzy me as we both went to sleep.
Cubby's POV
During the middle of the night, I woke up to use the restroom as I didn't want to wake Jake and Izzy.
After I was done using the restroom, I went into the kitchen and to my surprise I thought Izzy trying to pick up some food.
"Izzy, what are you doing?" I asked her.
"I'm getting some food what does it look like I'm doing cubby." Izzy said to me.
" You know you're not supposed to eat food when you want throat hurts you know that. So, I suggest you put it away and go back to bed before I get Jake." I said to her.
"But.." Izzy said to me.
"Isabella Rose green put the food back in the cabinet, and go back to bed." I said to her but in a harsh tone.
"Fine!" Izzy said to me as she went back to bed and so did I.
As I was about to fall back asleep, I heard noise in the kitchen. So I marched into the kitchen and saw Izzy again taking food out of the cabinet.
"Izzy, what did I just say?" I asked her.
"Izzy you better put the food back NOW! I MEAN IT PUT THE FOOD BACK!" I said to her as Jake walked in the kitchen.
" What's with all the yelling? I'm trying to sleep. Jake said to us.
"Jake, look what your girlfriend is doing." I said to him as his eyes wet wide open.
" ISABELLA ROSE GREEN WHAT ARE YOU DOING?" Jake asked her with a really really harsh tone.
"Izzy, put the food back in the cabinet this instant young lady." Jake said to her.
"Yeah yeah that's what I thought. Now you mark yourself back into bed." Jake said to her.
"Thanks Cubby!" Jake said to me as I gave him a thumbs up.
Jake's POV
As I was spying on me. To sleep oh, God didn't stop me until I heard the noises coming through the kitchen. So I immediately got out of bed put on my slippers and went into that kitchen. As I got there, I was now furious with Izzy.
"ISABELLA ROSE GREEN! I'M VERY DISAPPOINTED IN YOU RIGHT NOW!" I said to her as I immediately, March over to the dining room took the bowl away from her, and pointed to the exit where our room was located.
"What is the matter with you?" I asked her as I was disappointed
"let me guess Izzy did it again?" Cubby asked me.
"Yes, yes you did and I am very disappointed in her when I went into the kitchen, I saw her eat grapes. Which I immediately took away from her." I said to him.
"You know what Izzy, that's it you're grounded give me your phone." I said to her.
" Your not allowed to use my phone for a week." I said to her.
"Oh come on Jake." Izzy said to me.
"No means no." I said to her.
"You're being really bad tonight." I said to her.
"Can I get my phone tomorrow?" Izzy asked me.
" no you may not get your phone tomorrow like I said, you are not allowed to use your phone for a week." I said to her.
"Fine, I'm going back to sleep." Izzy said to me.
"Good you better stay in bed." I said to her.
"And if I ever ever, see you in the kitchen again I'm going to extend your no using your phone for 3 weeks." I said her.
"No, Jake, I promise I won't go in the kitchen again." Izzy said to me as I wasn't sure about that but okay then.
So I went to the other side of my bed got into the covers, and went back to sleep as I was watching Izzy like a hawk.
Izzy's POV
As Jake was sleeping, I slowly got out of bed, and tiptoed into the kitchen.
As I was making myself a peanut butter sandwich, I heard footsteps coming into the kitchen and I knew who it was.
"Izzy, what are you doing in the kitchen again?" Cubby asked me.
" Please, please don't tell Jake please." I said to him.
"I'm sorry izzyt, but I can't keep covering for you.
"Jake, Izzy in the kitchen again." Cubby said to him as Jake marched into the kitchen.
" You said you weren't going to be in the kitchen oh, you lied to me so your phone is not extended for another 3 weeks." Jake said to me.
" Go to your room as a matter of fact, go to bed NOW!" both Cubby and Jake said to me as I sadly walked out of the kitchen.
As I finally got in there I went into the cabinet and grabbed some bread and peanut butter.
Jake's POV
As Izzy went back to bed, Cubby walked over the sandwich that Izzy made.
"Well she ain't going to eat this sandwich, that I'm going to eat it!" Cubby said as he took a bit out of the sandwich.
"Really Cubby?" I asked him sarcastically.
"What? I'm hungry." Cubby said to me.
"Okay, I'm going back to bed once you're done, please put up with in a way and come back to bed." I said to him.
"Don't worry Jake I'll put everything away!" Cubby to me as Jake smiled.
Cubby's POV
As I was eating the sandwich, u cleaned the plate, placed in the dishwasher, closed the peanut butter placed it back into the cabinet and went back to bed after I washed my hands of course.
Izzy's POV
as I got up once again from the bed, I went into the kitchen and took out the cookie jar and started to eat a cookie. After I was done chewing it, I tried to swallow it but it was too difficult for me to swallow so I started the cough which apparently woke up Cubby.
Cubby's POV
I was walking up to the sound of coughing oh, so I ran to the kitchen, and saw that Izzy was coughing.
"Oh my God Jake, Izzy's coughing!" I Iimmediately sent to him, as he got up from the bed and immediately ran into the kitchen.
"Oh my God IZZY!" Jake yelled as we both ran to her.
"Why are there cookie crumbs on the floor?" Jake asked her as you already knew.
" You were trying to eat a cookie, WEREN'T YOU?" Jake asked her as we both patted her back to make her stop coughing.
"Izzy Izzy take it easy." I said to her.
As we were patting her back for at least 20 second, she stopped coughing as we looked at her mad.
"Haha, I'm sorry guys that I scared you." Izzy said to us.
"Izzy, we would have lost you." Jake said to her.
" You had us scared to death, please don't do that again?" Jake asked her.
"Okay I won't do it again, I'm sorry, I'll just go back to bed." Izzy said to us.
" I think we also go back to bed and Izzy, your phone is now extended for 4 weeks." Jake said to her as the three of us went back to bed and fell back to sleep.
