A spear is a pole weapon consisting of a shaft, usually of wood, with a pointed head. The head may be simply the sharpened end of the shaft itself, as is the case with fire hardened spears, or it may be made of a more durable material fastened to the shaft, such as bone, flint, obsidian, iron, steel, or bronze. The most common design for hunting or combat spears since ancient times has incorporated a metal spearhead shaped like a triangle, lozenge, or leaf. The heads of fishing spears usually feature barbs or serrated edges.

Viox's eyes fluttered open as she slowly sat up from her spot. What was happening? Where was she?

"Easy now. You took that blast head on. I'm lucky I got to you before they could cut your body to ribbons." A voice rang out.

Viox carefully moved her head to the side as she realized the one who spoke was Albedo. Klee was sitting next to him. Her large red eyes were filled with tears that had yet to fall. Viox felt a little dizzy as she looked back at Albedo. There was little light due to their Visions flashing in a dull light. She realized the Klee also carried a Vision as the back of her white dress was brighter than the front of Viox's chest where her Visions laid. Albedo's was on his hip, it glowed a faint golden color lightly from its spot. Oddly enough, the Geo Vision didn't seem out of the ordinary for the Chief Alchemist. Klee's glowed a faint red, letting Viox know that the Crimson Knight was a Pyro Vision holder.

"What's happening?" Viox asked, her voice carried worry.

"Ruin Hunters, four of them attacked the Ball. You were in the blast area when they decided to crash. I was lucky to grab Klee and you before a pillar fell onto you." Albedo explained. His voice was monotone.

Viox looked at him weirdly. For someone who seemed to care, he didn't act or sound like he did at all. She brushed it off as Klee crawled into her lap carefully. She held Klee to her chest carefully, speaking in a hushed tone, "Where are we now?"

"Under the Cathedral. We fell underneath, but the fighting has dulled down from what I can hear." He said as his hand reached up and dusted off Viox's cheek.

When he pulled back, his white glove was covered in the grayish dust that covered all of them. She looked down at Klee, "Did you get hurt?" She asked.

Klee shook her head light, "Miss Viox, your forehead is bleeding a little." She said pointing at Viox's forehead.

Viox held her breath a light, wincing as Albedo pressed his thumb to the cut.

"It's bleeding just a little. A small bandage should be enough." He remarked.

Viox frowned a little, "I didn't realize I had gotten hurt. Sorry to worry you, Klee." She apologized.

Klee nodded and leaned into the woman a little more. "It's okay Miss Viox. You were really still when you laid in Big brother Albedo's lap. I was worried, but you're okay now." The younger one said.

Viox sighed a little as she looked upwards, "When will it be safe to go back up?" She asked.

"Soon. From the sounds of it." Albedo said slowly standing up and looking upwards, "I'm sure we can find a way out." He held out a hand for Viox.

Viox carefully moved Klee off her lap, helping her stand a little, before taking Albedo's hand and standing up herself. Black spots entered her vision as she swayed a little. She felt herself tip to the side as Albedo's arms carefully wrapped themselves around her waist.

"You might have a concussion. Do you mind if I carry you so you don't faint?" He asked.

Viox swallowed weakly, "I don't have much choice if I can't even walk." She gave him a little smile.

Albedo nodded, helping Viox onto his back as his arms wrapped under her knees. Viox flushed a little as he carried her without any problems. She relaxed a little, although she felt awkward, and mostly thankful for the slit in her dress so it didn't get in the way of placing her legs up and over Albedo's hips so he could hold her in place. She gripped his jacket as she leaned closer to his back. If Violet could see her now. Viox made a face at the fact her twin would not allow Viox to live this moment down. Viox's hands gripped a little tighter as Albedo moved, his head was looking at the youngest in the attic-like room.

"Klee, let's head this way." He said to the younger one as he started walking towards a large set of stairs.

Moments passed as they climbed the set of stairs. Viox had told Albedo she had felt better and no longer needed to be carried, so he put her down and picked up Klee, who looked exhausted from the long walk upwards. A short moment after being in Albedo's arms, Klee had fallen asleep. Viox carefully watched Albedo's back from where she was walking behind him. Slowly they came to a stand still.

"Why did we stop?" Viox asked quietly, watching Albedo look around for what seemed like a few minutes.

"I heard the Ruin Hunters still. The noise has moved since, perhaps the Knights above haven't taken care of all of them as I originally thought. We still need to keep moving, you need medical attention." He explained as he moved once again.

Viox stared at the back of Albedo's head with a look of concern. Her mind raced through a few ideas of why the man sounded so monotone. She chased away the thoughts and theories as they reached a doorway. After they had stopped those short moments, Viox noticed that small black dots were coming back into her eyesight, she blinked it away for now, soon after all they would be with someone to look her over.

Albedo didn't say anything as he turned the door open with a quick movement. He walked through without problems as Viox followed. Now they were on some sort of Library floor. Viox took in the area, confused. She had never really been inside the Cathedral before, she wasn't much of a follower of the Anemo Archon, so she just stayed away.

"Has this always been a part of this place?" Viox asked, breaking the quietness around the small group.

Albedo nodded, "This area holds most of Mondstat's history, including a few things here and there about worship towards the Anemo Archon, Barbatos*. I had attended their mast a few times when I first came here a few years ago."

Viox rose a brow as they walked through the archives of the Cathedral. "How old were you when you became a Knight?" She asked as they headed towards another set of stairs, though these ones were shorter and led to a larger door. If Viox had to guess, that would be their way back into the main floor of the Cathedral.

"I am unsure of age, it was young though. I got in through a letter, after that, I was given my Lab for alchemy and found a few assistants that also pursue the art." Albedo explained.

Viox was confused, sure it was common to forget the day you joined as a Knight, but Albedo looked about her age. He must have been in his teens training surely? Violet was fourteen when she began the Starter classes and rose up from those.

"I see." She replied, hiding her small worries as Albedo led them through the large doorway.

The small group took in the sight that laid in front of them. Viox felt sick to her stomach.
