Chapter 19 Izzy's surgery Part 1
Izzy's POV
As Jake keft me alone, I was sitting on the dinning room chair with my head down on the table.
"What is wrong with me!?" I asked myself.
Jake's POV
As I was in our bedroom, I was calming Cubby down.
"Hey, it's okay Cubby." I said to him.
"Izzy, is a big bully." Cubby said to me.
" She didn't mean it Cubby." I said to him.
" Yes she did, Jake." Cubby said to me.
" Look, she's just going through some things." I said to him.
"Yeah, like her surgery tomorrow." Cubby said to me.
"Jake, I am not sleeping in the couch by myself, because the couch is not comfortable then my own bed." Izzy said to me as she was walking into our bedroom.
"You're going to sleep on that couch, no matter what." I said to her.
"I don't want to I don't want to sleep on the couch I want to sleep with you tonight." Izzy said to me.
"NO I AM NOT GOING TO SLEEP ON THAT COUCH!" Izzy yelled at me.
"Yell at me again, see what happens Izzy." I said to her.
"Izzy just go to sleep so you can have a lot of energy for tomorrow's surgery, and you better not snack on anything tonight, or watch TV." I said to her.
But before I left her alone, I placed a camera to see what she is doing during the night.
"NOW GO TO BED!" I said to her.
"Alright, goodnight Jake!" Izzy said to me as I just slammed the door shut.
Izzy's POV
As I started to build my fort I used my blankets and sheets to put over the couch and the TV. I also placed my duvet and I placed my stuffed animals together.
So I turned on the fairy lights, so I can read my books to help me sleep.
Jake's POV
As I was looking at the camera watching Izzy, Cubby was asleep, and I was just reading my comic books.
As I went to check up on Izzy, Cubby followed.
"Jake why is there a fort here?" Cubby said me.
"Shush, Izzy is sleeping I don't you to wake her up." I said to him as I was stroking her hair while she was sleeping with her teddy bear in her arms.
"She is so cute!" I said to myself as I was still stroking her hair.
As we were both watching Izzy sleep, Cubby was getting tired.
"Jake I'm going to bed, I'll see you tomorrow morning." Cubby said to me.
"Okay good night buddy!" I said to him.
"Night night!" Cubby said to me as he went to bed.
The next morning, I was the first one up, even though I slept in the ciich again I didn't want Izzy to be alone last night.
"Izzy, wake up it's your surgery day, come on time to get up." I said to her as I shakes her awake.
" But I don't want to go." Izzy said to me.
"Izzy we are now having this today, get dressed NOW!" I said to her as I went to wake up Cubby.
" Cubby, wake up rise and shine." I said to him.
"Five more minutes, Dad!" Cubby said to me in his sleep.
" Cubby come on wake up, we have to be in the hospital on time for Izzy's surgery." I said to him as he got up.
"Oh, yeah, I forgot her surgery sorry Jake!" Cubby said to me.
" It's okay just get dressed." I said to him.
" You got it Jake." Cubby said to me as I went to go have some cereal for breakfast.
As I went into the kitchen I saw that Izzy was dressed and ready to go.
"Wow, Izzy I know you don't want to do this, but your surgery is important." I said to her.
" I have an idea Jake, how about I don't go." Izzy suggested to me.
"Then you'll miss your appointment let's go!" I said to her.
"No I'm not going!" Izzy said to me as she hid under the dining table.
" Izzy you're wasting my time, let's go." I said to her.
"No I'm not going and you can't make me." Izzy said to me.
" Hey Jake I'm ready so is Izzy ready to go?" Cubby asked me.
" No, she's refusing she's hiding under the table." I said to him.
" Isabella Rose green get out under the table, and let's go now you're going to be late." I said to her.
" I don't care I'm not going so haha!" Izzy said to me.
" Cubby, help me!" I said to him as we pulled Izzy our from under the table as I carried her all the way to Bucky who was waiting for us to head to the hospital.
"There, you're going!" I said to her as Izzy folded her arms in anger.
"I don't care if you're mad Izzy, you can be mad all you want." I said to her as we finally arrived at the hospital.
As cubby and i went inside the hospital, Izzy was refusing to go in.
"I'm not even going to step inside that's scary place." Izzy said to us.
"Why not?" We asked her.
"Because I'm scared, I don't want to go in." Izzy said to us.
"Izzy, there's nothing to be scared of." I said to her.
"Yeah, you're only going to get surgery done." Cubby said to her.
" You see, that's what I'm scared about." Izzy said to us.
"Izzy that's only surgery, you're only going to be knocked out you won't feel anything." I said to her.
" Maybe we should go home, and not come back at all." Izzy suggested to us.
" Oh no you are not refusing this time let's go!" I said to her as I dragged her little sorry body into the waiting room as sat her down on one of the chairs.
"Don't move a muscle!" I said to her.
"I have to go use the bathroom Jake!" Izzy said to me.
"Find come on I'll take you." I said to her as I took her to the restroom.
" I'll be waiting out here okay!" I said to her.
"Okay!" Izzy said to me.
Izzy's POV
As I was in the bathroom, I looked at the window and tried to open it but it was locked. So, I opened the door and asked Jake to open the window for me.
"Jake can you open the window, please?" I asked him.
" Sure I'll open the window wait a second, you're not trying to escape are you?" Jake asked me.
"No!" I said to him.
"Are you sure?" Jake asked me.
"Yes I'm sure now I'm out of here!" I said to him as I was climbing out the window but Jake grabbed my foot.
"YOU ARE NOT LEAVING THIS HOSPITAL!" Jake said to me as he carried me back to the waiting room.
Cubby's POV
As I was reading a children's book, I saw Jake was carrying Izzy back inside the waiting room.
"What happened?" I asked them.
"Izzy was trying to climb out of the window, so she doesn't do her surgery." Jake said to me as we now got really mad at her.
"Izzy, why would you go do something stupid like that?" I asked her.
" Because I hate hospitals, and I don't want to be here." Izzy said to me.
"Okay, what do you have to say for yourself Izzy?" We both asked her.
"Excuse me are you Izzy Rose Green?" The doctor asked her.
"Yes what do you want?" Izzy asked the doctor.
"I'm the doctor that's going to explain about your surgery today so I want you to wear this hospital wristband that tells us who you are." The doctor said to her as he placed the hospital wristband on her wrist.
"Don't take it off Izzy." We said to her.
"okay so you know that you're getting your tonsils and adenoids takin out today right?" The doctor asked her.
"Yes!" Izzy said to the doctor.
" So it's a minor procedure you're going to be asleep and we're just only going to take out those two things and you won't feel like thing okay everything's going to be alright, we will take good care of you and Ms Green." The doctor said to her.
" Any questions?" The doctor asked us.
"Yes will Izzy, be staying overnight?" Jake asked the doctor.
"Yes she'll be staying overnight for observation." The doctor said to him.
" Okay, thanks!" Jake said to the doctor as he left.
"And the reason why she's going to stay overnight is because we want to check her breathing!" The doctor said to us as he then now leaves.
"Good to know!" I said to the doctor!"
" Jake, Cubby, I don't want to stay here overnight, I rather be back on my own back home." Izzy said to us.
"Izzy, it's only going to be for one night, calm down." Jake said to her.
" NEVER TELL ME TO CALM DOWN!" Izzy said across the whole room.
"Izzy you're making a scene, all the doctors can hear you." I said to her.
"Sorry guys she didn't mean to go back to your work thank you!" Jake said to the doctors.
"Anyway, you need to do the surgery, we're not losing you Izzy." I said to her.
"Guys, you're not going to lose me STOP CRYING!" Izzy said to us.
" I don't know what my life is going to be like if you're not with us if you're not with me?" Jake asked himself.
Izzy's POV
As a nurse come in, she takes me to get changed in a hospital gown, again.
"Excuse me nurse, may I keep my crop top on?" I asked her.
"No, you have to take it off." The nurse said to me.
"Then can I keep my underwear on?" I asked her.
"No, you have to take that off to." The nurse said to me.
" Can I keep my clothes on?" I asked the nurse.
" The answer is no, you have to take everything off." The nurse said to me.
"Do you need help putting on your hospital gown?" The nurse asked me.
"No thank you!" I said to her as I already have it on.
" Okay, I'm just going to do some exams on you." The nurse sent to me as I nodded my head.
As the nurse and I went I to the exam room, the nurse asks me to get on the bed witch I did so.
"Izzy I am going to put catheter into your bladder." The nurse said to me.
"But first, I need you to take off your hospital gown in order for me to do that." The nurse said to me as I took off my hospital gown and I stood there completely naked as I covered up my private parts.
"This is embarrassing." I said to myself.
"I'm also going to check your private parts for swabbing." The nurse said to me.
after I took my hospital gown off I literally stood there completely naked as I was still covering up my private parts.
"Okay Izzy, I want you to get on the bed please." The nurse said to me as I got in the bed.
"Okay during your surgery, you're going to have the catheter inside your bladder." The nurse explained to me.
"All right Izzy, I want you to stand on the bed, and crouch because I'm going to help you make you pee in a cup." The nurse said to me.
"Okay, now the nurse wants me to pee in a cup that's disgusting even I'm embarrassed on that part." I said to myself.
"I find it weird, and disturbing." I said to myself.
As I started to pee inside the cup while I'm completely naked, it was still embarrassing I couldn't take it.
"if this was a dream, I would literally wake up but it's not a Dream It's reality and I'm living it!." I said to myself.
After I was done peeing, the nurse took the cup and examined it.
"Can I go now?" I asked the nurse.
"Yes, you may go!" The nurse said to me as I putted my hospital gown back on and the nurse brought me back to Jake and Cubby.
As I got to them, the doctor's and nurses Immediately out into my hospital bed.
"Thanks guys!" I said to them.
"Sure thing Izzy." One of the nurses said to me.
