A pole weapon or polearm is a close combat weapon in which the main fighting part of the weapon is fitted to the end of a long shaft, typically of wood, thereby extending the user's effective range and striking power. Pole weapons are predominantly melee weapons, with a subclass of spear-like designs fit for both thrusting and throwing.
Viox's green eyes took in the destroyed Cathedral with worried eyes. Large holes littered the walls from where the Ruin Hunters tore through them like butter. Her eyes looked at the area she was before the fight as a large hole in the flooring covered by a huge pillar was in the place. She winced a little due to how close to death she could have been if Albedo hadn't reached her in time. She would have to thank him later as the once cleaned marble flooring was now covered in dust from rocks and plaster, some areas were cracked deeply and others looked as if the once pretty designs never existed.
"Do you think people got hurt?" She asked
Albedo shrugged his shoulders as he walked by the damage. "We won't know until we go outside."
Viox swallowed as she followed his form closely. Klee was still asleep from earlier. Viox smiled a little bit at the fact that the youngest wasn't hurt. Though she honestly should be worrying about herself. She hadn't said a word about her vision fading in and out, though she didn't know if Albedo knew, but something told her, he had a gut feeling that something was wrong with Viox. They head out the busted doors of the large building as Viox smiled at the huge group of Knights. Everyone was buzzing around checking for injuries as Violet was the first person Viox spotted. Violet stood with Jean, Kaeya, and that one Brunette woman from before.
"Looks like your twin is alright. Come on, let's head over to them and report what happened to us." Albedo nudged Viox's shoulder gently as he headed for the group.
Viox stumbled a bit at the small bump, but she couldn't help it. The black spots were worse now as she walked over slowly. She took in a quick breath, blinking away the darkness as Albedo was the one to reach the group first. Though not that it mattered much, Violet had darted her way over to Viox's side, throwing one of Viox's arms over her shoulder. Viox leaned against her twin heavily, relaxing, before her eyes fluttered close. The darkness won over her ability to stay awake.
"Repeat after me…three, two, one, one, two, three." Barbara repeated for the tenth time that morning.
Viox sighed through her nose, "Three, two, one, one, two, three. Can I be let go now?" Her green eyes looked at the bubbly blonde healer. If looks could kill, Barbara might have been on that list for keeping Viox behind, especially since Viox had paperwork to do at the Winery that morning.
A week ago, the Cathedral was attacked by Ruin Hunters. Viox had only gotten a small concussion, but nothing serious besides that. Sure, she did pass out due to it, but that was hardly something to freak out over. Violet however was overly concerned about Viox that she was demanding tests to prove that Viox was cleared by healers. Barbara was her last healer to check out, and so far, not even the best could find a problem with Viox's health.
"Hm. There's nothing wrong here. You're clear to go, but don't be coming back too quickly!" Barbara gave her signature smile as Viox stood up and waved goodbye.
Viox wasn't a fan of the temp placement of the Cathedral as the other was being rebuilt. Knights and Mondstat people in general were funding the building's supplies to patch the holes, cracks, and other necessary repairs. Master Diluc didn't want to do much in the helping, but after a set of puppy dog eyes from Violet, the man caved and offered up a great sum of money from his personal funds. Viox was grateful at that so she didn't have to do much work around the Winery bills, paychecks, and taxes. She walked down the steps of the temp build and headed out the door.
Her eyes took in the bright sunlight as she made her way towards the Knights Headquarters. Lisa, whom Viox had met after the attack, had become a quick friend. In a funny twist of events, the woman had twisted her ankle during the fighting, and so the two met due to being healed for their injuries and quickly bonded over books. Viox had gotten a spare key to Lisa's library in the Knights Headquarters, adding on the fact that Viox could visit after hours if she needed a fresh book to read. So Viox was heading over even though the Library was open to the public. She needed a book on her theory about Albedo and his odd blank faced stares and tones. If she was right, she could ask him about it up front.
Viox chuckled weakly to herself as she opened the large doors covered in green paint. Like she could actually do so. They had met twice in total, and she hadn't really seen the Chief Alchemist since then. She gave a quick wave to Kaeya, who had noticed her and waved back before he turned back to talking with some lower grade Knights. Viox headed straight for the open doorway with a sign at the top that clearly said "Library". She headed inside, looking at the place that was littered with books everywhere. She paused. Where could one find a book about mythical creatures? She pressed her lips together in thought as she walked around, her fingers and eyes glossed over titles as she looked.
"Looking for something?" A voice asked
Viox jumped a little as she looked over towards the voice. Albedo's dull blue green eyes looked at her. She held in the gasp that wanted to break through her lips as she placed a hand on her chest to calm down.
"Knight Albedo, you scared me." She replied softly.
"I do apologize. I thought you heard me when I called out your name. Though with your reaction, I was wrong." He stated as he reached around Viox's form and grabbed a book that was on the shelf.
Viox moved to the side a little. She wasn't expecting to meet the Alchemist so soon. She relaxed a little.
"Sorry for not hearing you earlier, I was lost in my thoughts."
"Understandable." He replied, looking through the first few pages of the book in his hands, "How is your head? I assume alright due to the normal concussion staying around a day or two." He asked as he looked up at the other.
Viox cleared her throat a little, "Im fine. Though if someone could tell my twin that, maybe she would stop sending me over to the healers." She joked a little, but took notice that Albedo tilted his head to the side, as if he was studying her. She brushed it off and quickly asked, "Do you know where I could find a book on Golems?"
Albedo pointed towards the lower landing of the library, "Towards the left corner." He said and with that he walked away.
Viox stared at his back confused. The Alchemist was definitely an odd one. She shrugged and walked off to where he pointed. She had a small idea of what the man could be, and she had a gut feeling she would find it in the pages of a book.
