A recurve bow has tips that curve away from the archer when the bow is unstrung. By definition, the difference between recurve and other bows is that the string touches a section of the limb when the bow is strung. A recurve bow stores more energy and delivers energy more efficiently than an equivalent straight-limbed bow, giving a greater amount of energy and speed to the arrow.
Viox stared at everyone around the large meeting room. Standing off towards the right side of the large office, was Klee and Albedo, the Alchemist had his arms crossed as Klee stood in front of him, she seemed happy. Although Viox couldn't dare give the same emotion. Behind the large oak desk sat the most famous blonde, Jean Gunnhildr, the Acting Grandmaster herself. Next to her was Lisa, the dirty blonde woman had a book opened in her hands as she shuffled through the pages. Kaeya stood next to the large bay window behind the desk by a few feet, his dark blue haired head was tilted down at the floor, his eye was closed, mostly listening in and taking in the information that was being said. Violet stood next to Master Diluc by the left side, Violet looked as if a bomb was placed in the middle of the room, Master Diluc on the other hand was stoney face as he was here for merely allowing his Head of Affairs permission to go on the trip if she wished it.
It was the morning since her last talk with Albedo. She was not expecting to go on a six month mission with Chief Alchemist Albedo. Then again, the alchemist didn't truly give her many details on what was happening last night.
"So Viox?" The blonde hair Grandmaster asked.
Viox looked towards her twin, who merely nodded at Viox. She glared a little as she cleared her throat, "I accept. I assume the mission will be relaid to me before we start preparing for the trip? I need to know what I am needed for." She said, though she didn't hold back the sharpness in her tone. Afterall, Violet and Diluc set her up for it. She looked towards the Winery Owner, who gave her a look that said, 'Im sorry'. Viox didn't believe it at all, but she did know that she and Master Diluc would be having a round of words later that evening.
"Yes of course. We are working on such a short deadline, and I do apologize for the inconvenience. Lisa just is going to be away with me on a different mission. Violet and Master Diluc of course brought up how you have been studying Golems, so we decided to ask you before Albedo set off on his Mission. That and Klee recommended you for overall being a nice person." Jean said in a worried tone.
From what Viox had gathered. Albedo was indeed a Golem, and he was racing against the clock of time. He had wasted some years on becoming a Chief Alchemist that he merely spaced the fact that Golems do not have much life force. So he needed to find out how to keep alive. He was slowly losing his elemental energy as he put it so dully. So Viox was the second best choice. Though as much as she wanted to argue that it was foolish that a Head of Affairs was going on a mission when clearly a Knight needed to be the one to do so. She couldn't deny that they needed her for the researching part. She looked over all of the members within the office one last time before she sighed through her nose, "If that is all, I will be retiring to my home to plan and pack for such a long journey. I would like for someone to stop by with the destinations we plan on going to and more. With that, I bid you a goodbye." Viox knew the anger was clear in her voice, but how couldn't she be mad? Quickly before anyone could stop her, she walked out of the room.
"Miss Viox. Please wait."
Viox groaned a little as she turned around at the monotone voice that called out for her. She crossed her arms as Albedo walked over to her. "Yes, Knight Albedo?" She stressed out lightly.
Albedo cleared his throat a little, "I wanted to come with you to your home and explain the trip. I understand you said you wanted to learn about it and how it will work." He spoke quietly.
Viox ran a hand through her hair a little as she looked up at the other, "I guess that's fine. You would know more about this as you are the one planning it."
Albedo nodded, "I shall follow your lead."
Viox turned quickly as she walked out of the Headquarters and towards her home at the front gates. She did notice that Albedo was able to keep up with her fast pace as he walked beside her through the long thirty minute walk. The sun was a bit hot against her feet and face as she knew that this trip was gonna be bad if they were going to visit any hot places.
Once they had reached her front door, she let Albedo inside first before herself. She noticed he was looking around her cozy home. She didn't mind, though she may need to hide all the notes that littered her desk about Golems. She relaxed as the smells of lavender and peppermint entered her nose as she walked deeper into the house. Her living room was the largest room, her large fluffy gray couch sat towards the far left wall, it was covered in large pillows and a folded black blanket laid on one cushion. A small cherry wood coffee table sat only a few feet from the couch, and covering the top was books and paperwork about the Winery. She had been busy earlier filling out tax documents and paychecks before the meeting happened. After that were the bookshelves that covered the walls, top to bottom as if she was making her own library within her home. Books of just about anything sat in their spots on the bookshelves. Viox was most proud of her collection, though over half of it was from Kaeya gifting her books from each place he went too across the world. She just got a full collection of light novels from Inazuma, the story was something about a woman falling in love with some sort of beast man, Viox couldn't really remember, she hadn't had the chance to read them yet and there were five books in the series.
"Impressive collection, not up there with Librarian Lisa, but close I would assume." Albedo's voice piped up as he stood in front of the towering bookshelves. His arms were crossed as he looked over the titles.
"Ah yeah, most were gifted to me. Others I wrote because I needed the Winery's history documents with me in case I needed something late at night. I of course collect as well and buy some myself." Viox explained as she took a moment to go sit on her couch. Sinking into the plush of it and allowing her body to relax and unwind.
Albedo turned, looking at Viox's form, "I should tell you the main plan of the trip. I do have to say, it's lucky you are a Vision user, we may need it in case."
Viox nodded, though it was mostly in that she heard him, but not agreeing with him. Viox wouldn't dare use her Vision. She had her own reasons about using it, and maybe she would tell Albedo one day about it. Though right now, she would play her part in just listening to what the man was going to tell her. "The first question I have is how light do I need to pack?" Viox asked as she sat up a little to listen to the other.
