A mace is a blunt weapon, a type of club or virge that uses a heavy head on the end of a handle to deliver powerful strikes. A mace typically consists of a strong, heavy, wooden or metal shaft, often reinforced with metal, featuring a head made of stone, bone, copper, bronze, iron, or steel.
Viox giggled as Albedo played with his tie for the third time. He had claimed it was tied too tight but he didn't want to take it off as Klee claimed it made his outfit look nicer.
"Albedo, just take it off already, you keep playing with it anyways, it'll be easier if it's off." Viox commented, turning to stand in front of the other. It was the sixth day of Windblume and Albedo had invited Viox out to dinner before they headed to Dragonspine after tomorrow night.
"Klee said that it was important to the outfit." Albedo duly replied back.
Viox did admit, his tie looked very nice with his navy blue button up and black pants. He was wearing his nicer black gloves that Viox and Klee had gifted him for Lantern Rite, and his boots were the same ones he always wore. Though he had a deep blue tie and a white vest this time around. Viox was a little on the opposite side of his darker color pallet. She was wearing a white button up with some deep blue colored trousers that were tight against her thighs but flared out near her knees with her normal black low heeled boots. Her hair was pulled back in a ponytail as her bangs dropped into her face once more. She had been in too much of a rush to pin them back so she rolled with the fact that the right side of her face was hidden by her pink hair.
"But if it's giving you too much trouble, it's okay to take it off." Viox tried to reason, reaching up to adjust it. She was shocked to find that it was indeed too tight. She made quick work to loosen it as she fixed it to rest gently against the base of his throat, right under his Adam's apple. His golden diamond-like mark stood out a lot with the darker colors against his pale skin. Viox had the sudden urge to touch the mark, but held back as she gently flattened the tie more against his chest, brushing off his shoulders a little out of pure habit from fixing so many of Diluc's ties and suit shirts.
"There, does that feel better?" She asked as she looked up at the other
"Much. It was really tight." Albedo replied back
Viox took a step back, "Now, let's go take a walk around! I want to see if we can spot anything fun to do for tonight."
Albedo nodded, "Of course. Please lead the way."
Viox giggled happily next to Albedo, who was looking over the large crowd of people with blank sea-green eyes. The Golem had to admit the colors and fast pace music was tempting to dance too. What he wasn't expecting was when Viox dragged him into the dance circle
"Come on! Dance with me again!" Viox called over the cheers and music
Albedo watched her carefully, he had no clue what he was doing due he had only learned how to ballroom dance and waltz. This was bardic dancing. A different flow of dancing that was fueled by emotions. The people came up with the footwork, that footwork would become muscle memory afterwards. Albedo wasn't sure as he stumbled a little, following Viox's movements.
Viox chuckled a few times, she twirled from Albedo's arms and back in as she leaned into his chest. Albedo watched as her face was morphed into a smile. He would call it carefree as this was a smile Klee often wore when she had not a care in the world. His face twitched in wanting to smile back. Viox leaned off his chest, taking the moment to twirl out once more, before helping Albedo walk forwards. The circle was closing in before Viox took both of his hands and raised them into the air and rolled their bodies outwards. Albedo wasn't sure what this dance was doing, as he moved with the other's movements
"You're doing great!" Viox called over the roaring music now that they had moved closer to the bards.
Albedo nodded, his hair flopped in front of his face as he kicked his legs out in time with her's, "How do you know this dance?" He called back
"I learned it when I was little!" She smiled at him with her reply
Albedo twirled her once more at her lead. He was wondering if the women led in this dance instead of the men. It was starting to look a lot like that as she dipped in his arms, kicking her leg upwards.
"Intriguing. Was this a normal dance that is led by women?" Albedo asked, pulling the other up, their faces were quite close at this range.
Viox nodded, being careful not to bump the others head, "It's like a courting dance. Back in the olden days, it was to show that the woman was interested in the man. Now it's just an old time dance that everyone knows. The meaning was lost to time and many different bards as well." She explained, moving along with the circle once more
Albedo was colored impressed by the others' knowledge on dancing. He didn't do much to research the topic as it did not fit his pursuit of finding out about the world and everything that was around him. Yet here he was learning not only the dance but the history behind its long time standing. He watched as Viox let out a cheer as the large dancing circle took a huge bow. Claps and cheers echoed in his ears as he too carefully clapped his hands together, his eyes never leaving Viox. The urge to paint her in this light was different from the other times. She was carefree, stress free, and reminded Albedo of the wildlife in Dragonspine that he had studied a few times. He found it a little ironic that she did indeed live up to her name. Viox was like the winter foxes that lived in the cold mountain top.
"Do you want to go get some water and rest?" Albedo asked, leading the other to the closest bench.
Viox, who was panting, wiped her forehead off with her sleeve, "No no, I'll be okay! I just haven't danced like that in a long time. It felt really nice to stretch my old dance skills."
"You used to dance?" Albedo asked
Viox nodded as she caught her breath, "Yes! All the time in fact. Back when I was little, I used to be a bard actually."
Albedo took a moment, "I would have never guessed that. Especially since you now work for Master Diluc. Head of Affairs is a very high profile job."
"That's why I rarely dance anymore. Besides you know the regular Balls and such." Viox replied, leaning back against the benched back.
"Do you mind if I interrupt this bonding moment?"
