Yumi (弓) is the Japanese term for a bow. As used in English, yumi refers more specifically to traditional Japanese asymmetrical bows, and includes the longer daikyū (大弓) and the shorter hankyū (半弓) used in the practice of kyūdō and kyūjutsu, or Japanese archery.
Albedo took a deep breath, although he didn't need to breathe all that much. He was merely sitting around on the sixth day of Windblume. Viox had walked off with Kaeya a few moments ago, and the two had yet to return. Albedo decided to take this time to sit down and try to enjoy the music. Though the tepos were slower now, he did enjoy some of the music as he watched another large dancing circle form. It wasn't as fast as when he had danced, but seeing the blends of colors from different dresses and the partners. It was like a splatter painting with watercolor bleeding into it.
"Knight Albedo? What are you doing here by yourself?"
Albedo perked a little at the new voice, he turned his face towards the sound, only to be met with Viox's twin sister, The old captain of Alpha Five, Violet Hala. Although now she was Captain of Alpha Three, which was right under Kaeya's squad. Jean of course led Alpha One. Albedo was in a different branch, seeing since the Knights never had a researching team until he arrived so many years ago.
"Greetings Knight Violet. I'm here awaiting your sister. We were dancing when Knight Kaeya had taken her away for a meeting of sorts. I am not sure what about." Albedo replied
Violet took a seat next to Albedo, "I think I know what it's about." She crossed her arms, "He's confessing to Viox. He wants to court her."
If Albedo could, he would have rosen his eyebrows in question, but he blankly looked at the other, "He wishes to court her?"
Violet rolled her eyes. Albedo now knew where the pink haired woman he had grown attached to learned it from.
"He does, but he hasn't realized that Viox's feelings have changed. She no longer likes him like that. Hell, I'm not even sure she knows that her feelings have changed. My sister has always been a bit hard in her head about her feelings." Violet explained
"I can imagine so. She did not like me when we started my research trip. It took a moment for her to warm up to being friends. Now, it's been almost five months. Almost three of her being my friend in some odd way." Albedo replied back, looking at his hands for a moment
Violet chuckled, "You really are some sort of oddball yourself. A Golem of a Man, making friends, I couldn't understand why you have attached yourself to my twin. She's a bit of a nut case herself." She paused, "But I guess that's why you two get along really well. You're a good person Albedo." Violet reached over and placed a hand on the Golem's shoulder, "I hope you two continue being friends. Viox needs a reliable friend. Better than Kaeya and Rei. I hope that it's you who can fill that spot for her."
Albedo looked at the other Hala twin. If he could understand the emotion of surprise, he would be feeling it at this moment. He wanted to be Viox's friend. The urge had always been there since he had first met the pink haired woman in the dress shop. The urge to paint her was a heavy factor in his quest to know about Viox, but being her friend was something he wanted to crave.
"I can try my best."
"That's all I ask."
It seemed like a short time afterwards that Viox had come back. She had suggested they take a walk to clear her head, so Albedo did just so to keep the other company. He wasn't all too sure what was going on in Viox's mind, but he was trying his best to support her. She seemed very distant as he had to carefully lead her around while they walked. Soon she had come back from the depths of her mind and talked about theories on golems with Albedo, who told her about his own theories as well.
Yet something still seemed off about Viox when he dropped her off at her home later on. Was it because of Kaeya? He wasn't a fan of the overly flirty Cavalry Captain, but from what he could gather, Viox was his oldest friend next to Master Diluc.
Albedo could very well go up to the other and ask the questions he had about what happened, though it might be called rude of him. Maybe Klee had a few ideas that could quell Albedo's rushing mind. Klee was asleep by now though, so he would have to wait until morning to talk with the other.
A crash alerted Albedo as he turned his head towards the alley way. He carefully materialized his sword, with a small flash of golden light the blade appeared at his side as he drew it out. Holding it in one hand, he walked into the dark alley. His dull eyes looked for the source of the sound. Seeing a few crates knocked over was his first clue. He carefully made his way to them. The smell reached him first as his eyes took in the small puddle of Dark Mud that looked like it had been contained in a vial of some sorts before it was dropped.
Kneeling down, his gloved hand brushed over the substance, careful not to touch the very small bit that was pooled here. Why was Dark Mud here in Mondstadt? He knew his own vial of the toxic matter was tucked away in his lab, so there was no way for it to be all the way out here. He looked over as something flickered, but disappeared from his sight.
Looks like things were taking a turn, but for what? Albedo didn't know, though the theories were flooding his mind.
