The Lochaber axe (Gaëlic: tuagh-chatha) is a type of poleaxe that was used almost exclusively in Scotland. It was usually mounted on a staff about five feet long
"Chalk in the shape of a man, Gold in its purest form to add the mind, Blood from the already birthed life. Together these elements will form the body and blood. Add the eyes from the brethren of the creation, hair is added to keep the head protected from the elements. Sunlight to breathe the life inside. Glass and Pine crushed to make the lungs and veins. Azoth, Brimstone, Sodium sulfate, Gypsum, Arsenic trioxide, mix together to build the bones, skin, blood, and nervous system. Slowly carve the features. With this all in hand, a new birth is made."
Rhinedottir smiled warmly as the creature took its first breath. She had done it. She had made her weapon. Her eyes looked over the man's naked body. His skin was as white as Chalk, his hair was a paler blond than hers. She watched with bated breath as his eyes fluttered open. His deep maroon irises came into her view.
"Where am I?" The man asked as he held his hand to his eyes to block the bright rays of sunlight.
"You are in my Lab. I am your master, Rhinedottir."
The man looked over to where Rhinedottir stood. He looked confused, but Rhinedottir knew this was normal after just waking up. His form was stiff as some membrane stuck to his skin. He looked perfect as Rhinedottir did take her time to fully design everything about the other. Her puppet to kill the Archons and all of mankind. She was pleased with her work, although she needed to run tests on him just to make sure he was ready to start his training. He was going to be the human form of Humus. She had even taken Humus's scales to create her creations' eyes. The maroon was from the poison Rhinedottir had leaked into not only her puppet's blood, but his mind as well. Her eyes flashed with pride in only herself as the creation moved more.
"And what is my name?"
"You will be known as -"
"Albedo, how much longer until we reach Base Camp?" Viox asked, steering her horse to stand next to Albedo's Mare. Klee was asleep against Albedo's chest, Viox shot a quickly warm smile at her sleeping form before looking back at Albedo.
"In about an hour." Albedo answered, looking at Viox, "Getting tired?" He asked
"I won't lie and say I'm not." Viox chuckled lightly
They had been traveling for about 5 hours, for most of that Klee had fallen asleep. Viox was glad that they had attached a small wagon with their traveling trunks strapped inside or they wouldn't have any clothes for the next three months on the Mountain.
"Well as soon as we get there, you can rest, we'll head up Dragonspine in the morning shortly after. I do have some tests I want to run while at the Research Base." Albedo replied as he moved his horse to walk along the trail.
Viox sighed out her nose, moving her horse to follow. What experiments did Albedo need to do? As much as she wanted to question it, her mind was too tired to even form any more questions.
Viox let out a yawn. Her eyes were dropping as she curled up under the blankets in the cot. Klee was settled in the spare one near the back of the tent, while Viox had taken up Albedo's. He was working in front of her at a small table that held many different vials of colored liquids. Some of them were on burners as the flames never flickered while Albedo adjusted temperatures. He had long taken off his coat as it hung on the back of his chair, his gloves were tightened to fit against his arms better as he worked on the different chemicals. His hair was fully tied back to stay out of his face so he could work easier. Though he was running tests on himself. That was the odd part.
Viox had never seen someone work with the skill Albedo had, much less with as much grace too. He had yet to knock over any of the glass bottles that had been scattered all over the desk. She wondered if he was thinking about how much chalk he was made from now that they knew that was his base. Though she had watched him take a small skin graph from his arm and bandage it quickly afterwards. She was worried he had hurt himself but his dull sea-green eyes met her green ones as he assured her that he was fine.
"Albedo? Are you going to go to bed soon?" Viox asked in a whisper so she wouldn't wake up Klee.
"Shortly, I just need to check on more thing." He replied quickly
Viox nodded as she rolled over, sleep finally settling on her.
Albedo turned in his seat, taking note that Viox had fallen asleep in his cot. Which he had no issues with, he was just a little unsure how she would react to his last test. He turned back to the desk as he carefully picked up the scalpel that laid on the desk. He took a deep breath as he placed his ungloved hand on the table. He wanted to learn what he could about his body, and what other way than to cut yourself open?
He drew the sharp small blade against his skin, from the bottom knuckle of his first finger to the right corner of his palm. He watched as his blood started red but then oxidized as the air hit it, turning it into a rich inky black liquid that was just as thick as normal blood. He was confused. Normally blood is blue before the oxidization. So why was his red?
"Rhinedottir…what did you make me with?" He whispered softly as he took a vial that was clean. Placing it against the bottom of his cut, he allowed the vial to fill up before he pulled it away. He took his time wrapping his hand up with some pressure to stop the bleeding. He carefully slipped his glove back on as he looked at the blood sample.
Just what was he made from? Why was he created? He took a moment to write his findings down. He might as well turn in for the night. There wasn't much more he could do without being at his campsite at the top of Dragonspine. There he would be able to test the abilities of his body, and maybe his mind too.
