Anticipation is an emotion involving pleasure or anxiety in considering or awaiting an expected event. Anticipatory emotions include fear, anxiety, hope and trust. When the anticipated event fails to occur, it results in disappointment (if positive event) or relief (if negative event).
"Master! Look! I've discovered a new chemical!" The Creation exclaimed, taking a moment to turn towards his Master
Rhinedottir paused in her writings, walking over to the Creation, "Ah, it appears you have, tell me. How did you come upon this?" She asked, looking down at the dark red powder that was sitting in a small metal dish
"I used a few things that might make snow melt. Some included different types of sodium. This is what appeared in its place. I want to name it Snow Melt. It also helps with melting ice as well."
"No my Creation, let us name it something more special. Let us call it Scarlet Quartz. This is the powder form. I can assure you if you place it in some areas. It will grow into larger chunks." Rhinedottir stated
The Creation sat back for a moment, before he nodded, "Then its name is Scarlet Quartz."
The eyes narrowed at the scene playing out in front of him. Albedo was tinkering with some items in his camp. A few yards away, the pink haired woman and the young girl were busy getting firewood from the pile that Albedo had always stocked piled on.
"I wonder how much they mean to you, Albedo." The voice whispered out, the wind carried it off for no one to hear.
The maroon colored eyes continued to watch the scene below.
Albedo wasn't all too sure if he had anticipated the events that were heading his way. He knew from his theory that someone was watching them. He could feel the anxiety flood his system now that he was more relaxed. At least what he thought was anxiety, it could very well be something else that itched his body, something was causing his form to tense up. Much like when Kaeya had entered Viox's home a few nights ago. Was it the same emotion? Brushing it off he looked towards his books once more. He wasn't sure why he was anticipating anything really, but he knew something was going on the moment he stepped into his camp yesterday morning with his group. The other two thankfully hadn't noticed what was happening, but Albedo had immediately taken note that some of his Alchemy notes were missing. Nothing to really be too alarmed by, as the notes that were gone were based off of a list of chemicals that reacted to snow, causing the semi frozen water to melt.
An odd thing to steal if anyone was to find his camp. Though that was a rarity in itself. His camp was well hidden from everything, due to the height, walking up the mountain was no easy task without some good gear. The air was a lot colder here. If you weren't careful, you could freeze to death before even making it to the broken bridge.
"Albedo? We're back!" Klee called out, her little form was dragging a small wagon of firewood, Viox was pushing from behind.
Albedo perked up a little from his notes, standing up from his chair, "Greetings, welcome back."
Viox sent him a smile, "Did you know there's white colored foxes here? Their little cuties!" She replied back as they stopped the wagon by the fire pit that kept the cave incredibly warm.
"Ah yes, they often come around for some scraps when I am researching here, I am not surprised that they are out right now." Albedo stated
"You feed the foxes?" Klee asked
"Yes, I will show you after lunch." Albedo commented
Viox took a moment, walking over to Albedo's side. The other noticed the change of air as he looked at Viox
"Something the matter?" He asked
"You seem really on edge. Is something wrong? You're not one to be so tense after just relaxing a few hours ago." Viox replied softly, touching Albedo's arm.
Noting what he was calling worry in her tone, Albedo touched her hand lightly, "I will tell you after dinner, this shouldn't be talked about in front of her."
Viox nodded, still concerned about why the Golem's body was tensed. Perhaps he was feeling some type of distress? Carefully Viox removed her hand and went back over to Klee.
Albedo watched the two talk about building snowmen tomorrow. He took a breath, letting it out, he closed his eyes. Why was this happening? Albedo knew of only a few people to be able to make it to his campsite without worry, some merely being 'close friends' as they all dubbed it. Sucrose didn't dare come up here unless Albedo himself was here. Along with Timaeus. Aether and Paimon were busy in Inazuma at the moment from their letters.
Albedo opened his eyes. His mind felt clearer as his gaze landed on Klee's and Viox's forms. One person came to mind, though it was still a theory in some light.
"Primordial."
