Chapter 68 Cubby's home

Jake's POV

As Izzy and I were having our breakfast, we saw Cubby walking into the dining room.

"Did you guys miss me?" Cubby asked us as Izzy and I ran to him and gave him a hug.

"Uncle Cubby!" Princess said to him.

"We thought you were going to meet us at Disneyland." I said to him

"Well, I missed you guys." Cubby said to us.

"Aww, we missed you too." Izzy said to him.

"So, what did I miss?" Cubby asked us.

"You didn't missed much." I said to him.

"Oh come on, I didn't miss anything?" Cubby asked us.

"Nope!" Izzy said to him.

"Anyway, next week Princess has a follow up appointment at the hospital." I said to them.

"Scared of hospital!" Princess said to us as she hid herself.

"Hey, Princess it's okay, we're all going to be with you." Cubby said to her.

"Yeah, remember all of those stories Izzy and I told you about where Izzy had to spend the night in the hospital because she had to get surgery on her leg?" I asked her as she nodded her head.

" Just an FYI Jake, I wouldn't have never needed that surgery. " Izzy said to me.

"Yes you would have never needed a surgery even though you had to spend a week in the hospital, because of your leg. if you haven't listened to me and Cubby you would have never been in that situation." I said to her.

"Jake, I think Izzy's hard enough." Cubby said to me.

"No. Because you know you missed, I had to explain to Izzy and give her examples on why she had to get surgery on her leg last year." I said to him.

" Oh, so I didn't miss something." Cubby said to me.

"Yes, yes you did!" I said to him.

"Izzy the reason why you needed surgery is because the bones couldn't heal by itself." Cubby and I said to her.

As Izzy, Cubby and I were done eating our breakfast, we didn't notice that Princess got out of her wheelchair and started walking. Then we heard a loud crack and crying.

"Princess!" all three of us that at the same time as we ran over to her.

As we heard Peincrss crying really loud, we look national leg, and it was broken again. But as Princess was trying to crawl away, I immediately grabbed her.

"PRINCESS WHAT DID WE JUST SAY TO YOU? DO NOT GET OUT OF THE WHEELCHAIR OR ELSE YOU'RE NOT GOING TO BE BROKEN BUT IT'S TOO LATE YOU BROKE YOU'RE LEG EVEN MORE. NOW, YOU DEFINITELY WILL NEED SURGERY." Izzy and i both yelled at her.

" Guys calm down she's really in pain, let's bring her to Children's hospital." Cubby said to us.

" Yeah, Cubby's right let's go, now!" I said to them as I placed princess back on her wheelchair and we all headed to Children's hospital.

Once we arrived at Children's hospital, I yelled for help.

"HELP US!" I yelled across the room as Dr. Lynch came to us.

"What happened here?" Dr. Lynch asked us as I started to explain.

"Well, we were doing the dishes as we heard a loud crack coming from Princess as we know it was her leg that cracked as she started to cry. And now, she's in really bad pain. Can you help us Dr. Lynch?" I asked him as I was done telling him what happened.

"Sure! Doctors, bring over the gurney stat!" Dr. Lynch said to the other doctors as they brought over the gurney.

"No, no gurney." Princess said to us as I picked her up and placed her on the gurney.

"Let's bring her to the X-ray room stat." Dr. Lynch said to the other doctors.

"Mommy, Daddy, Uncle Cubby!" Princess said to us as they left.

Cubby's POV

As Jake Izzy and I were waiting in the waiting room, Jake was getting worried.

"Guys I'm worried about her." Jake said to us.

"Jake, I'm worried about her too. But you can't blame yourself for this." Izzy said to him.

" You're right. I blame Cubby." Jake said as he pointed to me.

"Hey, don't blame this on me Jake, it's both of our faults okay." I said to him.

"Cubby's right Jake, if one of us stayed with Princess, and the other did the dishes, this would have never happened." Izzy said to him.

"I know, I know but since this did happen she's going to need surgery on her leg and she's scared of surgeries." Jake said to her.

So as we were done talking, a doctor came in.

"Jake Izzy Cubby, you need to go see Princess, before she gets in surgery. She's in room 300." The doctor said to us as we went to room 300.

As we got to room 300, we saw princess giving the doctor a hard time.

"Princess you need to put on your hospital gown. You can't keep your diaper on." The doctor said to her.

"No." Princess said to the doctor.

"Princess can you please let the doctor put on the hospital gown on you." Izzy asked her.

"No." Princess said to her.

"Why not?" I asked her.

"Scared x-ray room scared." Princess said to me.

"Princess if you let the doctor put on the hospital gown on you, I'll buy you some ice cream after your surgery." Jake said to her.

"Okay!" Princess said to him as the doctor took off her diaper, and places the hospital gown on her as she made a number one on it.

"I'll get another hospital gown." The doctor said as he left to grab another hospital gown.

Once the doctor came back, he took off the wet hospital gown, cleaned up Princess, and praised a new hospital gown on her.

"Okay we are now going to take her to the x-ray room." The doctor said to us as placed Princess in a wheelchair and wheeled her to the x-ray room.

Dr. Lynch's POV

As we got the X-ray room, Princess would not stay still.

"Princess, please stay still so we can do your x-ray." I said to her as she was screaming, and crying.

So I grabbed a strap, and started to strap her stomach in, to make her stay still.

"Okay start it!" I said to the doctor as they started the x-ray machine.

After we were done with Princess's x-ray, we took her out, and I placed her back on her wheelchair and took her back to room 300.

Jake's POV

As we were all worried about Princess, Dr. Lynch came back with her as he placed Princess on her bed and placed her X-rays in the wall with the light on.

"Okay, so her leg is severely broken, and she will need surgery." Dr. Lynch said to us.

"No, no no NO!" Princess said to all of us.

" Process your leg is severely broken and you need surgery. Now, I know you are scared but the doctor is going to make your leg feel better.

"No no surgery refuse." Princess said to us.

"Princess sweetie look at Mommy look at Mommy it's okay it's okay I know you're scared I get that I was scared as well but your daddy and Uncle cubby helped me through it. So, can you please let the doctor do the surgery you'll be asleep it's like taking a long nap literally." Izzy said to her.

"Okay." Princess said to her.

"But Izzy, do you think she can be brave?" I asked her.

"Jake she's already brave I think she can do it. She's our daughter." Izzy said to me.

" I guess you're right." I said to her.

"So are we doing the surgery on her, or not?" Dr. Lynch asked us.

"Yes you have our permission to do the surgery." I said to him.

"Great! I'll let them know. Princess I'll see you in about 30 minutes." Dr. Lynch said to her.

As the doctor left, Princess started to cry.

"Princess Princess Princess Princess princess its okay its okay its okay its okay, Mommy I and Daddy and Uncle Cubby are here, okay it's okay we know you're scared.

"No nose surgery scared." Princess said to us as she hugged Izzy's arm.

"MOMMY." Princess said to her as Izzy rubbed her back.

"Guys she's really scared." Izzy said to us.

"Yeah, I know." I said to her.

"What can we do to make Princess less scared?" Cubby asked us.

"Princess, how about we five you one of your toys to help you with your surgery." Izzy said to her as princess nodded her head.

"Jake Cubby, I'll be back." Izzy said to us as she went to go get her toys from her bedroom.

As Izzy went to get her toys, Cubby and I were calming down Princess.

"Princess, please calm down." Cubby said to her as she was trying her best to calm down.

" Princess, look at the rainbow." I said to her as she looked at the rainbow on the wall.

"Pretty." Princess said to me.

"Yeah it is." I said to her.

As we saw Izzy with Prince's toys in her hand, Peincrss pointes to Minnie Mouse as Izzy gave her Minnie Mouse to hold on to.

"That should help her with the surgery!" Izzy said to us.
